To Ed, why wasnt srna booked last night for the trip(cant remember who he tripped)in first half that was exactly the same as browns? I don't really expect answer as I realise you didn't ref the match., ., .kbarry {Ed007's Note - Was it Cleverley?? I know what tackle you mean. Another glaring example of refereeing inadequacy.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed, No the tackle wasnt cleverly, it was right in front of the ref,, boom. Yeah think it was young thomas though. I think refs should also be banned for a game or two for inconsistancy(sp), ., .kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Would it not only be inconsistent if it was the same ref that booked one and not the other, it comes down to a refs judgement at the end of the day and Browns tackle deserved yellow and his petulant kick deserved a red

Agree0 Disagree0

Kbarry, I don't think Broony was sent off just for tripping Neymar. It was the sneaky swing of his boot afterwards that got him dismissed.

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy

Understand chrisbhoy, but why was his yellw out in first place?, ., .kbarry

Theres only one Scott Brown let's back our skipper. As Ed says his sporting god was Roy Keane and he was NO angel. I was also a massive No 16 fan myself and believe Brown is our own version of Keane,, in lenny, broony I trust, ., .kbarry

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Support him when he plays football not when he kicks out at opponents. If fans refuse to suppor him during such acts then he will stamp it out.

Gaz.

Agree0 Disagree0

Two great guys. A great manager and a great Captain. I feel both of them need to each make a change to how they ply their trade for their benefit and the club's benefit. Moving forward better, stronger.
Hail Hail.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaz was stamp it out meant to be funny, are you barred from your own page?

Agree0 Disagree0

Support him always through good and bad, thick and thin. I understand fans frustration. But he ain't no hurlock, souness. I remember scoring against the then living team now sevco5088 and john brown kicking our tommy coyne into the back of the net, we have never had a bitta grind in our team never an by the way iam not putting scott in any breathe as that cretin. I love lenny&broony and most things celtic, ., .kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Monkeybhoy "stamp" whos stamping now? Defo not brown, ., .kbarry {Ed007's Note - Isn't that a Connie Francis song?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Good-un Ed I was away googlin her, knew the name but not the face. Are you showing your age old bhoy?, ., .kbarry {Ed007's Note - It was sang by drunken women at parties back in the Orange Sunshine and Buckfast days.}

K Prior playing a blinder lol. Switching fully behind SEVCO board and criticizing McColl. With about two months operating cash left he's placating the hoardes into sleep walking over the cliff. Neil Patey saying they've got cash until mid next season when they will go to shareholders for more money. Hmmm this from the guy who said HMRC would accept CVA day before they didn't!
Deady bears are being duped yet again.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Everyone agrees they do not have a viable business plan going forward as the cash is running out. The question is simply WHEN do they go bust? Sooner or later? But it is coming unless revenue drastically increases or costs drastically reduce.

Agree0 Disagree0

SEVCO have a wrong corporate sign on their premises. Surely there's a law against that?
On the gates it erroneously says rangers football club ltd. the correct corporation is The Rangers International FC Plc. The gates need changed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have a look at this bhoys especially note

"Rangers International Football Club plc is a football club based in Glasgow, Scotland."

www.rangersinternationalfootballclub.com/

Agree0 Disagree0

Ask companies house about correct corporate premises signage.

Agree0 Disagree0

Walter Smith quit as SEVCO chairman a few months ago citing inward investment was required and he didn't have the skills to find that. The truth is that another share offering would also just buy some more time until that gets used up also. So Patey offers no sustainable prognosis.

Agree0 Disagree0

Neil Patey is a fudd, his face was unknown until that mob died now he's poppin up here there and everywhere utter fudd(i think), ., .kbarry

Was just having a wee look at Lenny's European record there.

Overall: P32 W14 D6 L11 F37 A38***

Home: P16 W10 D3 L3 F22 A11

Away: P16 W4 D3 L8 F15 A26

The home record looks impressive, away is pretty miserable. When you look at the calibre of teams we've played though it makes for even worse reading.

Braga, Utrecht, Sion, Atletico, Udinese, Rennes, HJK, Helsingborgs, Benfica, Spartak, Barca, Juve, Cliftonville, Elfsborg, Karagandy + Milan.

I might be very critical here, but excluding Atletico, Udinese, Benfica, Barca, Juve + Milan they're all teams we should have beaten home and at least drawn with away.

Thoughts?

*** Not counting Sion as 2x 3-0 wins, actual on pitch results (0-0 + 1-3)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ha ha ha Hamilton, ., .kbarry

Did you forget the mess Lennon was left with in the team durin his first season in Europe? Guess not, and it was his first season in charged as a manager and since then we have a great record and he has progressed greatly! What about getting the most points in a group stage then anyother Scottish club? Not too mention yes a loss is a loss but some of those games we played great and could have won like atletico and the last two and others. Point is we show we can compete on the best stage in cl and Lennon and management are down to that.

Agree0 Disagree0

No2, very true, he inherited the shambles left by Mowbray, supporters are definitely a fickle bunch, we got put out last year by juve, this year beaten by Milan (very unlucky) barca, all teams worth 100s millions.
By all means have an opinion, but please be realistic, we are well punching above our weight, if Lenny was to go, who would make these people happy to take over?
Johnsey

Agree0 Disagree0

Not in any way calling for Lennon's head. Yes, the first season (Braga + Utrecht) was the first the team was together.

But 12 mths after the team was assembled, what excuse is there about the shambles that was Sion (0-0 + 1-3) before we got a reprieve? Then we struggled in the EUROPA LEAGUE group stage that season.

Last year was incredible.

But this season we're back to mediocre performances. What about Elfborg + Karagandy away?

These are games we should have won, no doubt about it.

I'm not calling for Lenny's head, I was one of Lenny's biggest fans as a player and maybe that means I'm more biased in giving him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm saying his record doesn't speak wonders. In three years we've won 2 SPL titles + 2 SC finals. Yet again this season, we're out of the LC and the treble has slipped away.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good analysis like this and fair criticism is healthy and necessary to improve.

Every manager deserves praise where due and criticism when due. Neil is bottom of his euro group. So criticism justly follows. He understands that.

Are we going backwards from last year? Can he take us further? Anything that didn't work needs to be picked up on and improved. Through measurement KPIs and continuous improvement. It's called OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE.

Agree0 Disagree0

HamiltonBhoy clearly your idea's of what Celtic should be achieving aren't just unrealistic they are ridiculous. Everyone knows what Lennon inherited when he took over. A pathetic spineless dressing room half full of overpaid dumpling who got us well beaten by Ross County and didn't even put up a fight for the SPL. I'll never forget the post match interview after Ross County when Lennon basically told the world that he will personally make sure some of those players won't be at Celtic for the start of the new season even if he is shown the door along with them. The man said himself that his first 2 european campaigns were simply not good enough and for a rookie manager in his first management job I believe he deserved the backing the board gave him. No matter how you want to perceive those stats I personally take everything into consideration and concern myself with results and performances since Rennes away in October 2011 when we came back well to earn a draw and nearly sneaked it through Ki Sung Yeung. Ever since then performances become more convincing and confident, like we had come of age. In most success stories in football there is a moment or a game that you look back to when this happens. A great performance and win against Rennes 3-1 at home was next, an unlucky 1-0 defeat to Athetico and a 1-1 draw away in italy to Udinese where we were all dissappointed not to beat them tells you everything you need to know about how expectations had changed. We played fantastically that night and where the width of the post from winning the game. Last season, 4 back to back wins against HJK and Helsingborgs, and a glorious CL campaign including the Barca win and breaking our CL away duck beating Spartak Moscow was an incredible achievement last year. CL again this year after 3 rounds of qualification and STILL there are people wanting to have a dig at Lennon. I honestly can't get my head round the way some supporters think, not just yourself HamiltonBhoy as there seems to be many others who lose sight of what league we play in and our transfer and wage budget in comparison to our opponents at CL level.

If your going to have a dig at Lennon you would be better served talking about the silly defeats to Morton 10 days ago, St.Mirren last year in the semi's, Hearts the year before and Kilmarnock in the league cup final a few seasons back as you would have a fair point and right to question why we are throwing away trophies to lesser teams by not turning up on those particular days, however to come on and question our European form now when we are at a stage where we are dissappointed at a defeat to Barca with ten men is incredible. I never saw Martin O'Neill or Gordon Strachan win a single away game in the CL under there respective reigns after many away trips watching us being battered. 3-0 seemed the common denominator. As u know MON didn't even reach the last 16 with a far superior team than Lennon or Strachan and that was with a world class striker. It makes me wonder what happens next year if in the final qualifying round we get an Anderlecht or worse an Arsenal and we don't qualify through an unlucky late goal or refereeing decision, will it be sack Lennon and get someone else? I worry because history tells us that often isn't the answer. A lot of people need to manage there expectations a bit better and realise where we are. I'm not suggesting we expect defeat in all our games, certainly not as I expect a win at home to Ajax as they are a much weaker team than last year. Our new players need time to settle in then we can rely on them to do the business in the CL for us, maybe with a bit of luck they will sooner rather than later but until then lay off the manager.
