04 Mar 2019 09:15:22
Great name and as much as I cannot stand Mourinho he was right in what he said, old kily he basically said the rat should have stayed until the end of the season to finish what he started and that Leicester would have waited IF they really wanted him!

Hi ed I used to post as proudcelt but forgot my login details. Do you think we might see the best of Ntcham now that Lenny is back?
He always seems to get the best out of midfielders . And secondly do you think he'll get the job full time?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Welcome back buddy. I think Lennon will get the managers job and Ntcham will be off in the summer.}

03 Mar 2019 20:39:59
Cheers mate I think you’re right about Lenny
But I’m not so sure Ntcham will be off . In an
Ideal world whowould you want as manager?
Within reach obviously. Me personally I’d love to
See Carlo Ancelotti . We can only dream.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'd love to see Marcelo Bielsa take over but that ain't going to happen either.}

03 Mar 2019 21:23:12
I remember reading Ntcham was due back around a fortnight ago and I haven't heard of any break-down or relapse and deep down I think he lost his way some months ago and is in no hurry to play for us.
It's a shame because I really saw a player in there and hoped he would be with us for a wee while, but after the Dembele carry-on and then the link with a move to Portugal, I reckon he has lost his way.
Could be a real revolving door'transfer window' in July with all the players we will lose and the positions that need strengthening.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Mar 2019 09:00:08
Was at I think St Johnstone home game a few weeks to a month ago and he was on bench, but just before the KO was announced that he was being replaced on bench by Mikey Johnston so I'm assuming he was injured during the warm up.

Folks I don’t know if it will show it on a certain bbc goals show tonight? But at the end of Watford’s glorious win today the Watford dj played I just can’t get enough. a stick it right into the rat 🐀 lol that’s a plus the sheep and the newbies drawing another clug fest to be served up possibly creating a fixture congestion for them at a pivotal time?

He’ll live to regret the decision that he made this week.

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 16:01:13
I think he probably thought that the fans anger would be aimed at the board and not him.
I heard on Radio 5 yesterday that Neil Lennon had been lined up to take over at Leicester till the end of the season whilst they waited for Rodgers, so if that is true then it's a bare faced lie to say Leicester wouldn't wait till the end of the season and he must have wanted to do us the maximum amount of damage.
If these are the actions of somebody who is supposed to love the club then heaven help us if we get landed with someone who hates us.

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 16:24:29
Gerry, that’s the question that needs answered. Were Leicester willing to wait until the summer? BR is still maintaining that wasn’t the case. If that was case particularly as he tried to take the entire backroom staff before two big games for Celtic would suggest one seriously callous individual with no concern for the club or the fans and potentially as you say whether he was actually intent on causing maximum damage.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 16:58:02
If that's true - and there are many rumours flying about - then he has clearly been biding his time to get one-up on Lawell because of the bitterness that had festered between them for months?
It also shows very little regard for the players and support he was supposed to care so much about and was selfish and malicious.
The attempt to clear-out all the back-room staff - knowing we had two games in three days and were fighting for two trophies, leaves a very bad taste and as much as I appreciate what he (and the players) achieved, there is obviously a sinister side to the man.
I remember Liverpool fans bemoaning his antics and being concerned about his management style and even personal life thought it was sour grapes at the time - obviously not.

Agree4 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 17:42:52
No questions need answered your either one of us or your not the rat jumped ship at the business end of the season how many fans do yku Know would do that? None fk him we move on as it goes immortality to mediocrity he’s made his bed let him rot in it. Can we have a Brendan page ed like the secco one so we don’t have to read it every day. Celtic 1st Celtic last.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks mate. Benkovic, Ryan Christie, Callum McGregor, Ntcham & Tom Rogic are all about 2 weeks away from returning and should all be ready for the TRIFC game. I've no idea about Leigh Griffiths & Jozo Simunovic and Eboue Kouassi & Daniel Arzani are both obviously out for the season.

We looked very solid, not giving away chances. can't remember us being so dominant at easter road!
2 excellent results. To think we still have benkovic, rogic, cristie, mcgregor, griffiths etc still to come. We are looking very good for the treble. Who can stop us? Only slight worry is lennon's record at hampden.

Lads reading in the papers this morning the br want to sign boyata. Br knew he was going to be leaving celtic and reading all the papers that Leicester had been planning this since the start of the season. Do ye think he said something to boyata that he is leaving and wants to sign him for free at end of season. And is he tapping up James Forrest by ringing him Thursday. Br should f*** off and figure out how he is planning to get Vardy the new suarez.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

03 Mar 2019 12:45:27
Paul, Boyata might just be a start he phoned James Forrest as well which is a strange one. This time last week the big talking point was Motherwells goal little did I think at the game what would unfold within 24 hours. I still can’t get my head round him not waiting for treble trebles then leave via the front door a legend. That and trying to take entire backroom staff before two big games you could be forgiven for wondering if he was trying to do us maximum damage. And he seems genuinely shocked at the reaction and one day he’ll be welcomed back and we’ll appreciate his work. As I said it’s lost on me but bracing myself for him doing us more damage.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 13:17:09
Totally agree. He could come for a lot more players at end of season.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 13:21:07
Would any scottish / celtic supporting player go to Leicester knowing the uproar it would cause I know money is a big temptation but this would be a stigma they would have to carry for life.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 13:26:06
2 rats on the same ship well suited.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 13:39:40
DRB I don’t think KT, McGreggor or Forrest would but phone call to the latter is concerning.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 14:05:07
I’d be surprised if any of the Scottish lads would follow him especially kt. None of them have ever said to be a hankering for the epl, if they do I’d presume it would be a better team than Leicester . It’s probably different for benkovic who’s obviously heading back, Boyata due to his contract situation . The other one could be Ntcham which could earn us some decent money as I can’t see Lawwell being easy to deal with.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Lawwell could squeeze every penny out of Leicester for Ntcham and then go and buy McGinn just to troll Rodgers.}

03 Mar 2019 23:00:28
Rodgers won't be there at the end of the season so don't worry folks. Lost to Watford, if he loses the next game then the pressure will already start to mount. Its the Premier League manager merry go round. Tick tock.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 22:23:18
I like you’re thinking Ed but there’s just one flaw in the plan. The Celtic shirts are too big for McGinn.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I see the latest rumours have Rodgers taking McGinn to Leicester if Villa don't get promotion.}

03 Mar 2019 11:18:23
OK guys/ ghirls doing my usual sevco bets today
Morelos booking 5/ 2
Penalty 5/ 2
Ordering off 3/ 1
McKenna and Shinnie booking 2/ 1 each
Jack, if he plays, 3/ 1
same with McCrorie 3/ 1.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

03 Mar 2019 09:00:31
A question for Ed or anyone in the know, will Rodgers still get some sort of league medal and cup medal when we win both? I know players have to play a certain amount of games and still get a medal if there team wins a league even if they've moved on do managers have something like that? I'm assuming I'm correct in that also.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Yeah Rodgers will get medals.}

03 Mar 2019 10:40:17
Like it or not he deserves them.

Our captain has certainly earned his crust this week they way he has stood up in both games hearts and Hibs is what a real leader should do . The players did not have to look far for their captain bring stability into the dressing room and on the park . Scott Brown is a living legend 🍀🇮🇪.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

03 Mar 2019 11:14:19
I was a late 'convert' to Broony as at first I thought he was a hot-head with more attitude than ability; but over the years he has proved to be an invaluable, inspiration leader and he can play a wee bit as well, with nifty footwork, neat touches and even superb goals.
We will always be a better team with him in and around the club and I would dearly hope we see him in a coaching role when he 'retires'.

03 Mar 2019 12:49:17

Bottles, coins and flares again. It's embarrassing. If this can't be sorted out we will lose a generation of fans because why would you want to take your kids into that environment? I certainly won't be taking mine anytime soon.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

03 Mar 2019 09:31:43
Mate they need to come down hard this has been happening on and off for years they know 9/ 10 out of ten there's no consequences it’s embarrassing to say the least.

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 09:47:06
Why not at banner somewhere else in the stadium other than the green brigade speaking out against coin throwing?

It’s dangerous, embarrassing and completely unacceptable. Plus we can take the moral high ground - and some people love a bit of that

As for that Buckie bottle, there was one thrown at Wee griff at ibrox and he got booked for picking it up!

Away fans seem to get away unpoliced by clubs who say they have no control, , I imagine a tough police sentence would do the job.

Either way something needs to be done as it’s preetty sad.

I don't get what the bit moan about pyrotechnics is. Ok maybe not flares but the rest it just feels like moaning to me.

You see so many other clubs that create amazing spectacles using pyro.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I can't see anything mate, fire it in again if you want.}

03 Mar 2019 11:57:08
Celtic should deal with our own fans by saying that if one more coin is thrown or flair light etc. we will stop taking away tickets.

I know people will say you can't punish everyone but this will either force the wee neds to stop or force the rest to start pointing them out to police.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 11:58:35
somebody must have seen who throws these things but no one will come forward. Sadly, Celtic need to install more cameras and then review all cases of coins, bottles etc. being thrown. Self policing is the only way I can see before we get some serious issues arising.

Any of you on other Celtic sites will know the mentality of some of these eejits. It's basically F... anyone who does not agree with them. They just don't get it or see the damage they are doing to the club the claim to love with a passion.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 12:26:47
The fact about pyros is they are outlawed in Scottish football.
Whether you agree with that or not isn't the point.
If you use them you can get the club into trouble and if your willing to do that then you deserve banned.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 13:38:18
Into trouble? Like a 10k fine. We pay double for guys to sit in the medical room. Weekly as well.

There isn't really a decent reason for most of them to be banned.

Just like the idea of the standing section used to be frowned upon.

These things should be challenged to find a safe solution to using pyro in games.

£3m lights is a good start lol.

Agree1 Disagree1

03 Mar 2019 14:33:52
So moan like feck about money getting wasted on dud players but ok for fans to collect fines when ever they want?

Safe solution for a wee dick swinging a flair about in a crowd?

Club wants pyros they will get some one with a license and training in to do it.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 14:45:57
And when the SNP force through strict liability it will be more than 10 grand fines.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 18:33:08
I quite like the flares, just not thrown on the pitch a la the coins.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2019 00:20:13
So much embarrassment about kevs post. I'm trying to talk about a safe solution between club, fans etc

He starts calling his own fans wee D's

Then he starts banging on about ifs buts and maybes about SNP and all sorts

Simple fact is there is many ways to use pyro and not be disruptive and add to the atmosphere.

P. s nobody moans at us wasting money as such. They moan about us messing about over an extra mil or 2 and losing the right target and having to settle for duds.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 03:43:15
I was just thinking of how much of a re-building job we will need to go through in the summer, not only the loan players leaving but also the players who will be out of contract.
I was also thinking about Wee Scott Sinclair, he will be going into the last year of his contract and I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about him getting an extension or do you think he will be sold/ ask to leave because BR is gone.
I think he has been a great signing and would like to see him stay for another couple of years.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

03 Mar 2019 10:02:32
I agree, I think we should sign Sinclair up for longer. I know sometimes he frustrates during games but his goal and assist return for a winger is excellent.

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 10:29:38
I was one of the fans slaughtering Sinclair earlier in the season and I’m big enough to admit I was wrong. Like many pointed out on here his goal return is great considering he’s not a striker, yes he floats in and out of games and frustrates at times as we all know what he’s capable of on his game. When he’s got the ball running direct at the defenders taking them on, that’s the Sinclair I love to see. Definitely without a doubt we should be looking to extend his contract. Wether he’d sign up again who knows but it certainly needs to be offered.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Mar 2019 23:42:43
how long do you think it will take judas to recall Benkovic from celtic

Won’t matter he can’t play for them as the registration windows shut.

Agree0 Disagree0

He can't recall him because the transfer window is shut.
The option was to recall in January.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Mar 2019 11:56:50
robroy, I don't think they can recall him until the Summer. They had the option in January and Claude Puel said they wouldn't be taking the option so he'll be here until the end of the season. Mind you, he's not fit and isn't playing so the quicker he comes back the better. HH.

NL has mentioned JK in most of his interviews so far. JK came in for some stick on here mostly because we never really knew exactly what he brought to the coaching staff. Sounds like he's in the position on merit and another who deeply cares for our club.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

03 Mar 2019 07:09:42
Isn't it an awful indictment of what many posters are like, if they are not sure what someone does on the coaching staff they ridicule . Thank God Celtic did the right thing and stood by John K when he suffered a terrible injury, and thank God despite some Celtic fans misgivings, big John stood by us.
