You'd think plenty of teams would be after him now. Despite having 4 right backs I don't think any of them are reliable. Lustig's injury prone, Janko can't defend, Ralston is still very young and Fisher isn't good enough. Gunter would be a good signing.

I think its just a case of needs must at the moment Kevbhoy with the injuries we have at centre back. The way Rodgers is talking a signing at centre back is imminent.

I think it is just needs must. It's not unusual a player his age to be tried or even switched positionally. And he has played for Start right down the middle from centre back to centre forward. But from what I gather he made the biggest impression as a forward thinking midfielder. We should be ok earlier on in the qualifiers with him at CB. But the criticisms of both the player and BR will already be lined up going into bigger games with him at CB. By the sounds of things we're after Toure and hopefully Ajer is just filling in for now.

From the little bit I have seen of Ajer I would like to see him playing in midfield rather than centre back . My simple reasoning is that we would have an extra mountain of a man fefending set pieces with his 6' 5" frame a great assistance.

Just saw the replay of the goal on Twitter. Excellent play by Allan to square it for Christie who finished confidently. Sturm Graz gave some team a proper double-figure doing last week so a very positive result so far.

A player I'd love to see fill the left wing position is Victor Moses. Probably couldn't buy him but he is certain to head out on loan from Chelsea again this season so could offer to pay half his wages for the season. A really exciting player with pace and power who could chip in with a few goals. The type of player who could make a difference in Europe.

Like so many players who have joined bigger clubs in England he needs to get settled at one club to bring out the best in him. Loan with the option to buy would be a good deal for both parties. He may even be out of contract next summer.

Sounds like its just a matter of time before Kolo signs. Don't think BR would have spoken so openly about it if the deal was unlikely. Hope he signs in the next day or 2 and has a chance to settle in before the first qualifier.

It is very quiet Ed and Steph with transfers but i think that's just the way Rodgers likes to go about his business, usually stuff leaks out and you hear bits and bobs but we seem to be going about our business with a bit of stealth, which is a good thing as it lessens the chance of getting gazumped by another club.

Anyone think that if Brendan had the time or already had three decent CB's at the club he would be looking to play 3 at the back? If we get caulker and have a fit Jozo along with Erik then imo they would all be in for a shout for a start, Italy and Germany seem to think it's they way forward, and Conte is going to use it at Chelsea, just a thought.
