After reading some of the comments yesterday from McInnes and Shinnie (what an absolute clown of a man) what a sad, pathetic, angry anti-Celtic (expand as you wish) country we live in much to my sadness and shame. In many ways I think the North of Ireland has made more progress. They put the boot in from the first minute to the last not least the aforementioned Shinnie under the direct instruction of the aforementioned McInnes including their newest addition Fergusson who looked like he was on a mission to earn a move to his beloved Govan. Then we're meant to feel shame when Broon shoves Shinnie out the road and Lustig laughs at Ferguson. Hell will freeze over before I feel one ounce of sympathy for the sheep. Long may the pain continue for Aberdeen and that new team from Govan who it would appear won the league yesterday in December. I don't remember their previous clubs dominance being bad for Scottish football but maybe my memory is failing me. God Bless Brendan Rodgers and the Celtic and what a finish Ryan! ☘️.

That f*nny Shinnie says Broony and Lustig lacked class then went on to say he refused to shake there hands and bitched about their behaviour instead of being gracious in defeat. That my friend is lacking class. What after every defat to us (which is normally 6 times a season) do they complain about the ref, our players and any other excuse they can think of rather than just hold their hands up and admit they are massively inferior to us. It’s beyond me.

Not worth the breath responding to Aberdeen, a nasty club with nasty players and even nastier supporters. Macinnes is a proven whinger and always finds deflection from his poor management. It's quite funny watching him, he's like a greetin bairn when he does his post match interviews. Shinnie is just a beeling fandan who can't stand it every time we beat his garbage team.

My real gripe though is with our totally one sided media. They are so desperate to see anyone other than Celtic win a trophy, they are not even hiding their bias nowadays. Sportscene on Sunday night was like Sevco TV. Jonathan the currant bun is a disgrace of a presenter and is so obviously pro Sevco, it's shameful. McFadden and Thompson were like two wee trolls, dying to put the boot into us.

Saying that though, I love seeing them all moaning and bubbling about how big bad nasty Celtic with all their money and great players are winning everything. It's no fair! Neithers Frank Bruno's arse but you don't see him maoning about it!

Rab the Scottish news showed Celtic lifting the cup last night which was referred to as ‘the all too familiar sight of Celtic lifting a trophy’. Whit? Don’t remember that being the case when Watties Wallopers were in the ascendancy.

If I remember correctly following Aberdeen’s victory at Celtic Park on the last day of last season didn’t they celebrate in front of the Celtic fans and their manager dancing around punching the air and some of their players in the faces of Celltic players with Logan being red carded for throwing a punch at Mikael Lustig. Did you forget that McInnes, Shinnie bad losers or what. oldkilly.

Solid win even if it wasn't up to the standards of the past few games. Hope rodgers makes a few changes for motherwell as a few were looking tired. Hard run of games coming so resting a few would help. bad time for boyata to get a hamstring injury at the time we most need him.

I'm sure we will utilize the squad over the coming month because of the amount of games scheduled. However, I think it will be a tweak here and there and not full-scale changes as all of the games are difficult and important and although Boyata will be a big loss, Simunovic and Benkovic should be fine and Ajer will be back soon?
Having Broony back fully fit is another bonus as his leadership and experience will be crucial.

The game against them will be another walk in the park. watched their game v hearts yesterday and they are murder, will be surprised if we don’t take at least 3 of them.

Great result yesterday although we never hit top gear. aberdeen made it tough for us, cup finals are all about winning though and that’s what we do best. Hail hail.

Brendan's supposed to be abroad talking to a player about signing in January.

The more I see of Benkovic the more I am impressed.

For someone so young, it is amazing that he has such great positioning and decision making.

Would really love it if we could get him on a permanent deal.

Trade him for Boyata and a few million. Wishful thinking eh. The celebrations yesterday showed the split in the dressing room as predicted by Fat Boyd😂😂.

Seen 67 Hail Hail Blog Page said Lustig was “terrific and one off the highlights off the match” but honestly when I read it was genuinely shocked because I thought he was absolutely awful for most off the match with his poor marking and first tough. I know people can have different opinions but I genuinely thought him and Sinclair where by far our worst players yesterday. Maybe it’s just me but anyone else agree lol?

Lustig had a good game. Defended well.

I thought Lustig played well. Didn’t think Sinclair played badly either, Aberdeen coped really well with both him and Forrest. They found it harder to deal with our central midfielders though and that’s where I think we won the game.

So was it worthwhile enduring a miserable wet day at mucky old Hampden ( the girls came home and threw out their trousers and tops because of the mud) but YES it was, another trophy in our trophy cabinet which must now need extending lol
Young Christie has come on a ton and now you simply cannot leave him out the team. We should have won final more comfortably and some players Edouard the main culprit were just too greedy and should have passed instead of going for goal, but we won after a tiring trip to Norway.
Not even the usual moaners from Aberdeen could take away the gloss from this victory hail hail.

Reading mciness and shinnies comments talking about class and then go on a rant about the ref and how Celtic celebrated and Christie should have been sent off ( must have missed that one) embarrassing and how not to lose a final 😅😅.

Bitter, biased wee men who can maybe take some comfort in the fact their real team went top of the SPL for a wee while.
There are a good few managers up here who could take lessons in integrity, humility, honesty and class from Brendan.

So thus time next year the boss could be bringing home the first 10 in a row of hopefully 2 10 trophies on the trot what an achievement that would be.
