Ed do we have a option to get Edouard in on a permeant deal? And if so do you know how much?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - It's about £7 - 7.5 million I'm sure, Tony but I remember at the time someone telling me if he ends up a part of any deal taking Dembele to PSG he'll cost us 10 million Euros off Dembele's fee.}

Thanks Ed.

{Ed007's Note - No probs.}

Ed 3 months seems a helluva long time for Paddy to be out with a hamstring injury. Does he need surgery or just pure rest? Also I know it happens with all loans when they're injured but why does he need to go back to city? Do they have a better medical team or is it to spend some time with the family?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - He's still a City player and they'll want to manage his treatment. It's also in the loan contracts I'm sure that the parent club treats any serious injuries and probably for insurance purposes as well.}

We will be lucky to see him in a Celtic top again 3 months takes us to the beginning of march , another month to get fit takes us into April.

Did we have to pay a loan fee for him? if so looks like good money down the pan.

How did Johnny Hayes play yesterday?
I read BRs comments saying he was worth pass marks?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Dec 2017 14:55:41
Was good. A 7 or 7.5 rating I'd say. Best he's played for us.

I thought he was excellent - won nearly every tackle he went in for and his delivery on his right foot was good almost every time. He gave Motherwell a lot of problems and linked up well. He tired and was subbed after about an hour but I suppose that was likely due to his lack of games.

Best game in a Celtic jersey by a mile.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I thought the same myself about Hayes. I'd have liked him to get a goal though which would maybe have given him a real confidence boost as I've heard that getting his dream move to us has been weighing him down a bit.}

03 Dec 2017 23:24:45
I thought the team played v well yesterday mainly due to the high pace generated by Hayes and Sincair . Ntcham was brilliant in midfield and our new striker looked excellent.

With all the sh*t in the scottish media over the last week about our soft penalties. How much coverage will Windass's blatant dive get tomorrow.

I'd doubt it, watching the game aswell and what sticks out to me is the severe lack of quality on both sides, don't watch a lot of sevco other than when we'r smashing their back doors in so couldn't really judge them on that but even Aberdeen are honking hopefully McInnis takes his mid season implosion with him to the gorge of eternal peril.

Anyone that thinks either of these teams will give us problems over the course of a season is aff the heed. They might as well give us the trophy now.
I keep hearing the league is our bread and butter but as far as I can see the breads already been dipped in the soup and Wolfed down.

Exactly Augustus both teams are sh! te, but huns could do us a favour by taking more points off the sheep, although we certainly do not need any favours.
But watch in second half a red card is coming.

I for one am loving it watchn these 2 utterly Shoite teams fight it out to see who finishes best of the rest behind the champions! Mcinnes is manager of one and he’s leaving to manage the other! U couldn’t make it up! 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂🤣.

How can it be right that mciness is off to manage Rangers and is playing against them twice days before he joins. If he is off to Rangers which he is he will want Rangers to win these two games. If he was so committed to Aberdeen he would not be going. Conspiracy theory goes like this.

King says to mciness come join us but not till after the 2 Rangers games. let's have 6 points out of that and welcome to Ibrox. Why would you replace a manager (murty) who has just turned over your next manager twice in a row. Common sense tells you to stick with the winning manager. Something not right.

Said a couple of days ago on here it was a certainty and to get your money on a Sevco win at Pittodrie. Can't believe Tim backed Aberdeen, was never going to happen. McInness has twice set his side out to fail. My next prediction his first signing as Sevco manager will be the donkey Kenny McLean.

I know McLeans football ability is limited but his performance today was embarrassing. 4 or 5 times after the game went to 2-1 he either passed the ball out of play or straight to a Sevie. Anyway I'm delighted McInness will be their new manager a born loser and listening to his after match interview a liar too.

@Stevie Aberdeen USED to have integrity and were always up for a game, especially at Pittodrie, I thought this would be the same, but again the fix was in. Blatant cheating.

A load of mince that! How would McInnes set HIS players out to fail? More like Sevco players knew they had to perform in front of their new boss and Aberdeen players knowing the uncertainty of any new manager not fancying them as a contest today and anybody worried about McInnes being brilliant is daft or worried about nothing we are so far in front in many ways it's embarrassing to factor whoever is the second best team in Scotland to be close to ourselves

Worry about sevco when they go thirty games undefeated!

Penalty (like Wednesday) was an absolute stick-on and neither Slug2 or the ratbags in the media will comment or criticize to the extent of last weeks furore.

Fantastic performance and BR got the selection and tactics spot on. I thought the lads that came in were excellent, Edouard a stand out and i hope we see more of him his movement, passing and touch gave them problems throughout the 90. Hayes i thought put in numerous decent balls into the box possibly his best game in the Hoops. Young Ajer composed and confident and hopefully in time will be our CB for years to come. Ntcham who i have praised since his arrival is starting to look like a bargain. All in all great result, team performance with some exceptional individual performances with the fringe players showing they can be relied on and more when needed. Wee special mention for Forrest who has turned his Celtic career around under BR, his consistency, attitude, performances at a different level and he is without doubt currently our star performer. Let's reward the people within the club before we spend in January, Forrest, Ajer, Edouard let's get them tied down on new improved long term deals.

A very good assessment of the game yesterday Stan.
But can I ask did Forrest not sign a new deal this summer?

Agree0 Disagree2

03 Dec 2017 10:02:36
It was last summer Kev, a 3 year deal so only a year and a half to run. I think, not 100%. His play merits a deal similar to KT in my opinion.

Always felt edourdo was trying too hard, did well yesterday though and a good hatrick, was I imagining it (cause I was not hungover) but I thought we were 3 up at half time, did I imagine that or was a goal chopped off?

I thought Edouard looked fantastic. I would really like to see plenty of him in Dembele's absence. The Anderlecht game might be too big and too soon for him to start, and LG will be champing at the bit, but I would like to see him feature. He's a bit more in the mould of a striker who will benefit us in Europe. Looks a prospect. Do we have an agreement in place to sign him proper, and how much?

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Dec 2017 11:36:32
I agree with nearly all that has been said.
The only nagging doubt I have about Forrest is that his upturn in performance has come since Patrick Roberts has been at the club, now that Roberts is out long term and may even not play for us again, will Forrest keep up these levels?, or will a lack of competition see him go back to his old ways? .
I would like to be convinced that he has turned the corner before I pushed the boat out financially on him.
