Kev I agree they weren't all that bad, very good first half, but Lennys decision to take Hayes off at half time changed something within the team dynamic, Hayes was very good at getting in their faces, and knowing that KT wasn't fully fit Hayes could have filled in when he went off. He set the team up well in the first half but I feel his changes didn't make much of a difference, why bring on Rogic when he's just back, when we have sharper players who are upto speed and can actually get past a man. Instead he brings on Rogic.

Just in from the game, what a feeling, watching those animals celebrate their equaliser just made it that much sweeter when Forrest slotted home. Up at 4am for work tomorrow but i will be smiling all day long. Daughters second birthday yesterday and a win for the Bhoys. This is how it feels to be Celtic and I just can’t get enough.

It was the perfect finish but I have to admit, that’s the most stressful Glasgow Derby I’ve experienced in a long time. Could’ve done with some beta blockers for most of the second half. As controversial as it may sound, i’m going to give slippy G a bit of credit for giving us a really tough game even when they were down to 10 men. He’s not the tactical genius I would worry too much about but he managed to get them fighting (in more ways than one) so it’s definitely a departure from the spineless lot we pumped regularly the last two years.

neil made some major mistakes today and if that lot had a wee bit more in them they could have walked away with 3 points. i am a huge fan of the wee man but i don't think he is the man to take us to another level, i truly hope am wrong but we need to be looking at new direction.

Dunno, Robroy, I had concerns before half time that complacency was creeping into our game. It’s hard to say if that was the problem or it was the changes NL made. At one point I did seriously wonder if watching it could be health risk for someone of my age.

Was Jonny Hayes injured? If not NL made a huge mistake on taking him off knowing it was a gamble to play KT in the first place
We could have slipped him back if KT did not last the game like he didn't so bad a desision.

{Ed007's Note - I think Hayes got the nod because Lennon wanted someone with a bit more about themselves physically than Sinclair to deal with the initial 'battle' these games start like and to cover KT when he pushed forward.
At 1-0 up and them down to 10 men perhaps Lennon could smell blood and thought Sinclair could produce some spark going forward and exploit any space the extra man should have given us. To be fair to NL, there was no way of knowing KT & Boyata would get injured and KT obviously felt fine at half-time.}

Right decision to take him off he’s too similar to kt in the positions he wants to take up I always wondered why Sinky player more inside than wide but it’s clear to see kt runs that wing.

I think he got the hook cos he was on a yellow. He put in a beauty of a tackle early on and was then booked. I reckon Lenny didn’t want to give brother Bobby an opportunity to even up the score. So brought Hayes off. That’s my view on it anyway.

The first problem today was that the manager, based on past experience, thought he was playing against Rangers.
Burke should have played, the Orcs defence would have retreated 5 yards if he was playing,
Three at the back would have sufficed and not only saved Tierney but took control of the midfield,
Rogic should never have been introduced, he is not match fit and at that stage we were down to nine men.
I was willing to give Lennon a go but after today I am not convinced!

Agree, he must have known KT doubtful to last 90 mins. Think if he had to take Hayes off jt shkujd have been Burke on. Ajèr was immense and is proving me and many others wrong who said he wouldn't make it as a CH.

I just want to say seeing as it was not mentioned by anyone at sky what an absolutely fantastic pass it was by Jamesy Forrest for Edouards. He had about 0.1seconds to react and the pass was perfect for Eddy. Surprised it wasn't mentioned by the sky panel. Actually not too surprised.

A sending off, morelos, mccrorie, halliday and Brown all getting cards. I think the only bet that lost would have been no penalty. 👍.

Where do I start, could be here all day summarising that game.
Delighted with the win, especially the way we built their hopes up and then hit them with a sucker punch, better than an easy 3-0 victory
Brilliant through the spine of the team, my bestie Ajar, Brown and Eddy.
The victory came at a cost with the injuries, which I felt KT could have been prevented. Lenny got out of jail slightly but I still feel he is the right man for the job.
The future is still bright after starting with all our own players, with only Toljan last to come on being a loan player.
Special mention to the full squad for their great discipline this season, that's about a dozen off the ball incidents against our players this season and not once have we retaliated. Proud of our champions.

I'm still not 100% sure about NL, although he (and the team) has produced some very important results since he took over and the fighting spirit - to the last kick - is certainly back with a vengeance; even if the free-flowing, slick football is not?
The results have been much better than the performances IMO and we have not scored more than two goals in any of his games in charge and generally, we have played nowhere near as good as we can.
It's possible injuries, fitness problems and the aftermath of BR 'effin off' could have some bearing on all this, but I would like to see a big improvement in performance levels and form, to convince me? The pressure is off to a certain extent now with a 13 point lead, so with our next two games coming up against St Mirren (A) and Livingson (H) , before the Cup semi-final, I would hope for more convincing and clinical displays and a flourishing finish to a very difficult and demanding campaign.

Summing up; we made a relatively easy task more difficult than it should have been by our own faults.
However, it once again showed the old Celtic fighting spirit has really returned - finishing with our fourth or fifth late winner since the winter break.
Terrific finish and assist from Eddy and brilliant, cool composure from JF so late in the game to score; plus tremendous credit to Ajer and Lustig in defense.
Worried about KT who maybe came back too soon? He needs rest and full recovery for next season IMO. Boyata - go right now if he wants?

Because; Apart from not wanting to stay here and apart from the fact he is nowhere near as good as he thinks - that's the second time he has 'walked' off injured and thrown in the towel against Sevco.
Give me a Bobo or a Paul Elliot anytime over that guy.

Would be one of the most stupid decisions ever.
What if he needs to get out quick to play a player offside or needs to react quick to a short pass.
If you watch it back the physio checks him behind the goals and signals to the bench he's finished.

By God, be got away with one today! Jonny Hayes. omg. his corners! However thought Broony conducted himself eloquently and the bhoys up top did their job. Display overall was uninspiring. I love Lenny but hope we are casting our net wider tbh.

I thought we were poor also. Thought Hayes was ok his corners were hit and miss was still suprised to see him hooked at half time unless he was injured. Don't think Lennon is the man for the job we've been poor since he came back in but have still picked up points. Sinclair and rogic were worse than 2 men down think both will leave in the summer although I would keep sinclair. Glad we won despite playing poorly again.

Thought madden was quite poor yeah he got the red card correct but should have sent off Kent he was looking straight at it. Thought he was inconsistent with his decision making. He booked Hayes for his first foul but let arfield and mccrorie off with worse.


Back to us i think we played better 11 v 11 and just stopped playing after sloth was sent off thinking the game was won. Our play was very slow and predictable and no one seemed willing to take a man on which was disappointing. Forest took his goal well but was poor today and has been for a while now.

Anyway 13 points clear so happy days enjoy your Sundays bhoys and ghirls.

Madden confirmed what I have said all along and for those who think I should be grateful for him giving baw heid a red card - he had no choice after the linesman made the decision for him.
He let them away with a lot, denied a stonewall second red card and at one time we had four bookings to their two .
A proven Sevco supporter who should be nowhere near this fixture.

Ok so Sinclair has scored a few goals for us, what else does he do? For me he gets in good positions out wide too often and cuts back to then hold play up. He doesn't create very many goals if any at all. Me personally I don't think he does enough and I wouldn't keep him.

For 2 of the 3 seasons here he's had the most goal assists in the squad. Not bad for a player that doesn't create many goals eh.

Forrest is way ahead this season with about 5 more than him.

Last season he was second with about 6

Invincible season Roberts was top of the assists.

This season he has only 2 assists, if you think that is acceptable for a winger that is fair enough, I'm just saying that I don't think that is.

We are still too slow in our build up. When they went down to 10 we should have upped the tempo but we didn't and our defensive frailties came back to haunt us. We should still win this game but we are nowhere near as good as we think we are.
