ED007 don't know if this has been discussed before, but I see Craig Gordon has now recovered from all his injuries, do you think it would be worth a wee punt Celtic signing him on a short term contract with promise of longer one if he does the business. Would not cost club the earth and we could potentially be signing an international class goalie for peanuts.

{Ed007's Note - I'd rather not Tim, he's been out the game for two years now.}

Im not a fan of leigh griffiths. Celtic should never have signed him. However, these fuds on clyde 1 are making a mountain out a mole hill. He is a hibs supporter, he is entitled to join in the banter about hearts. At least he is not coming away with sectarian stuff. Harmless banter.

Any opportunity to deflect attention away from the sorry state of affairs over at aldi! Sorry ibrokes

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I'm not condemning Griffiths but that's the life he has chosen by signing for us, he needs to consider this at all times now. As a CFC player anything he does is seen as a headline by journalists who refuse to do their job. Whether we agree or not that this is even newsworthy, he is all over the rags for the wrong reasons again. That's twice in as many months.
On an unrelated matter, I don't see any pictures of broken seats etc from the game yesterday splashed all over the rags yet Hibs fans broke seats and were throwing missiles onto the pitch, I'm surprised they didn't accuse the GB of infiltrating the Hibs support.}

Am certainly not Griffiths biggest fan, but that was obviously just pub banter. What one of us can say we haven't had a bit of banter of rangers demise. Total non story!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That's not the point Darren. Griffiths is a CFC player, not just a fan, and he has to realise that everything he does is going to be scrutinised more than it ever has been before. If he was still at Wolves it would have been a non-story but because he is at CFC it was always going to be highlighted and blown out of proportion, he should know this himself and if he doesn't then it will only cause more problems for him and the club in the long run.}

Guys talk is next season CL group stages alone can make us 25m. So the question is how much do we spend tryin to make sure we get there. My guess is 12m, wudnt hurt us too much even if we didn't make it.can always sell if needed if don't make it. PS Ed hope you are well, wee point about the polls, can we see the results without necessarily voting?

{Ed007's Note - I'll leave a note for the tech folk Ray but the offices are in the middle of relocating to Dubai so I don't know when they will be sorted out and up and running over there.}

Dubai lol, any chance of a job.Thanks ed.

{Ed007's Note - I don't think you have enough curves in the right places mate.}

Ed speaking about players out of contract in the summer Sebastian rode from Frankfurt is a good shout don't know what he would command in wages but would think maybe be out of our league that way but we should be having a look

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Rode, who is out for the rest of the season injured, has agreed to sign for Bayern Munich, Hoopy.}

I bet you bought him on fifa to lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't play fifa was just looking through players who were out of contract at the end of the season and saw his name thought bayern or one of the other clubs in Germany would have snapped him up

Ah, Mr Griffiths all over social network singing a few jingles .Not sure what Celtic fans will make of it.
I'm all for giving a man a chance, no one is perfect, he without sin cast the first stone and all that .Being who he is and the club he is NOW with he needs to be more aware of his actions and what SMSM are capable of.
Not a serious incident by any means but is it how we expect 1 of our players to behave?.
Should the club take any action?

Can't help but wonder if young Watt (no angel by any means) done similar what would the reaction be from within the walls of Celtic Park.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

A Hibs fan goes to the Edinburgh derby, and sings a song, nothing offensive I am led to understand, and that's that.

Agree0 Disagree0

What Griffths done on Sunday for me was harmless. Agree with GJ. There was nothing offences sung let's move on. His current strike partner has done a hell of a lot worse in his time at Celtic Park.

Guys he should have known better, just watch how the Sevco apologists handle it on Radio Clyde tonight Keevins will be wetting his pants to get on air and condemn this.
Anyway Sevco Edinburgh survive until Wednesday.
But at least Sevco Belfast were knocked off top of league by Cliftonville ( looks like all the "honest" mistakes were needed at Arbroath on Saturday)
Not forgetting Sevco Glasgow who are in a wee bit of soapy bubble themselves, oh dear

Agree0 Disagree0

It was harmless banter fs lennon sang a lot worse in pubs that wer caught on video.

Agree0 Disagree0

What did Griffiths do?

A WAR ZONE, SCENES OF MAYHEM, THE ATOMSHPERE WAS DIABOLICAL, TOTALLY HORRENDOUS. Evidence given by Scotland's finest.

But despite their evidence the sheriff cleared 3 men .
If the three men in court were Cameron Blair and Hague, war zone would seem more appropriate.

Was this match played in Syria or Palistine, how can law enforcers in a "democracy" enliken a few drunken yobs to scenes in a war zone. The establishment need to look within if they are to tackle Scotland's cancer before they give the license to police to anybody .

As we are now in process of planning for next season and CL qualifiers it looks like some of our more experienced players will now be given an extended break. Forget about any meaningless (in my eyes) points record etc blood some good young players and give the likes of Balde, Pukki and Boerighter some game time.
As for bringing in players, here is one from left field, bring back Gary Hooper, he does not seem to be the Norwich's manager cup of tea, offer £6m and get him back at Celtic Park, I think he has learned grass is not always greener elsewhere.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't think Hooper is the answer Tim. Had a few barren spells also and never overly impressed in CL .

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm all for mixing the team up a bit but we better not see any of our big earners soaking up the Sun abroad before May. This season should not be over (Cup games) and I don't think they should be rewarded with time off!

I wasn't at the game over the weekend and haven't seen the highlights but seems I didn't miss much.

I don't know if Hughton will be the Norwich Manager much longer Tim and Hooper made it clear he wanted to play in England. Think that ship has sailed

Agree0 Disagree0

Why offer £6m for hooper when he struggles to get a game? We all know what he can do, but surely his value has dropped since he has left celtic due to not playing regularly.

I agree with what you say about pukki, balde and boerighter. Best part of £7m spent to sit on a bench and they have never had a run of games to shine.

Personally I wouldn't give lennon anything to spend in summer. If he thinks its alright just to win league (which is a certainty anyway) why does he need more £millions to squander?

@TTTS Hooper had a far better record than your hero stokes

Agree0 Disagree0

Wudnt go back in for Hooper. There are other cheaper options. @Dn30 do you know any manager that doesn't want more money to spend lol they all do. Even you have to admit since Stokes got a partner his game has picked up big time.

Agree0 Disagree0

@rayman I said I wouldn't give lennon anything to spend next season (if he is here).

Ive never been convinced by stokes, even when hooper was his strike partner. Although he has had a couple of good games, not enough to change my opinion
