As you know ed I'm a big believer in the mob across the city being a new club, but I won't kid you the tension has been building in me all week like the old days, just between me and you I hate games, just want it over with . If it has taught us anything over the year's, its that football is a lottery and the best team won't always win . Just hope and pray ๐Ÿ™ it's our numbers that come out tomorrow ๐Ÿ† โšฝ โž• ๐Ÿ€ = ๐Ÿ˜

Hey bhoys

Here's a conundrum. Say sevco come and park the bus. frustrate the life out of our attacking play. Nick a goal from slack defending (probably a set peice) then park the bus refusing to cross the halfway line. Steal the result using old Walters favoured anti football. How do we as supporters react to this? Blame the manager. the team. the board?

I ask purely because this was my dream last night (I can't even blame the booze because I've been dry for January). I won't lie it's got me nervous!

Now on a decent surface playing them, if they tried to play us I could quite feasibly see us handing them a hiding. But like I say I'm nervous. Too many of this squad and the manager don't have a clue about how we hate this mob(albeit a tribute act of the deceased 1872 mob. with the same thick fans. )

I feel it's a must win game. they need to be put in there place. I hope RD has been made acutely aware of this!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would be surprised if they didn't park the bus. I wouldn't be surprised if they came out in the first 10 minutes and tried to have a real go at us, to try and catch us out, so we must be ready from the start, but after that I can see us pushing them back.
An early goal would be great, as if they started to chase the game, we would pick them off.
I am sure that Ronny deila is fully aware what it means to the supporters, he's an intelligent man, and there are enough people at the club who would remind him anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's what they will do mate. Shelling balls to use Millar's pace, what's left of it, over our defences heads. I don't think Ronny would be blamed, they have no one I would put in our team, so it's all down to the players and attitude. Broony will be vital, he must make sure we stay focused.

Ed do u think Dundee United winning today means an end to Armstrong and gms coming this transfer window and if that's the case can u see any1 else coming in? It's really been a bad transfer window if we don't get anyone in and puts Peter lawwell statement ( we always want to come out a transfer window stronger than we went in it ) into question .now I know we don't have endless pit of money but surely that team needs freshened up! I think we need a cb in as a priority to bleed him in for next season as we could very likely lose vvd and denayer at end of season and we will be heading into a champions league qualifier with a new cb paring what do u think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - The move to sign Armstrong and GMS will still go ahead and there could be some news about Commons signing a new 2-year deal where the 2nd year is a lot more performance related than the first year.
CFC have also been turned down in an attempt to sign Zakaria Bakkali from PSV. The Dutch side aren't keen to sell in this window and the player doesn't fancy it. PSV are hoping he will sign a new deal with them which will mean they receive a transfer fee in the summer.}

I think Ronny fancies O'Connell, more so since he let Fraser go, who I thought had a big chance of making it.To be fair the boy has done well when he has came in.

Agree0 Disagree0

All interesting stuff Ed, we will take ALL FOUR thanks lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Pleasantly surprised we're actually going for players like Bakkali.

Watched a bit of the semi and got to say the pitch has me worried. Looked to cut up and seemed pretty bumpy to start with. Will this affect the team Ronny picks?

I also listened to keevins on his usual Celtic nonsense, time this clown was barred permanently. His attitude towards Ronny is nothing short of a disgrace, he even claimed that a defeat means he has to win the Europa to appease Celtic fans, and it seems like he is actually willing him to fail. He has obviously became some sort of mind reader since being punted from his position at Scotlands roughest toilet paper.

I fully expect us to win, but I honestly don't care, it's the league cup and my attitude has not changed since Morton beat us. Remember one thing. this is sevcos biggest game in their history. It is the fourth most important for us in February.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I am just wondering who it was to say what game went first was it a toss of a coin they must know the pitch would be worse for tomorrow or was it the powers that be giving the rankers a small chance?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think any rough pitch will suit us more. We're the better team by far and should be able to play football on any surface condition. If you have watched them recently, they are lacking the skill needed to play the passing game and a lot of their passing play goes awry. That leaves them the long ball to Daly but big Virgil should deal with that muppet all day long.
Should we be worried about this bunch of footballing clowns? I shouldn't think so but it is a cup tie and they will be busting a gut to put one over on us. We need to hammer them early on and put the game to bed so we can rip the pish right oot them!

I guess the semi final result today means we won't be getting Armstrong after all.
The summer will just have to do!

Dundee Utd manager Jackie on radio tonight, delighted to win, but unhappy with the Hampden turf. 'It was in poor condition and cut up very easily.
Inhibited our passing game, passes held up etc.'
WE play a high tempo passing game. Thoughts?

Let's not get to concerned about the pitch lads! It will take more than a dodgy pitch to help out that mob! If we go out there with the rite attitude from the 1st whistle we will run over the top of them! And show them no mercy! If the chance is there we need to put that mob in firmly in there place with a good humpin!!

Looking at other bets for tomorrow both Black and McCulloch are 4/6 to be booked, both are 10/1 first booking, any sending off 6/4 as is any penalty awarded, fill your boots as I think these are near certainties

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Tim, you know the score. It will be the same story as ever, slow to book with no criticism as he 'did not want to spoil the game'.

Agree0 Disagree1

GJ but this time more international eyes will be on the "honest mistakes" and the penalty issue I fully expect a penalty against Celtic, but as I say difficult questions will be asked, not by keevins and his ilk, but by the English media so the men in black will have been warned not to make the bias so obvious. But black is too stupid to heed advice, anyway their goalie probably has his bets on already lol

Agree0 Disagree1

Tim, best bet, for how many times McCulloch tries to maim one of our players, then gets up rubbing his head, with the old looking for blood trick.

Just wanted to say my estimation of our manager has just risen big time AFTER being visited by the match commander Chief Supt Bates he sought guidance on his celebration "IMO Nothing wrong going to celebrate among your own" "as long as you don't antagonise the other side"

Chief Supt said " In FAIRNESS to RD he asked for clarity on the matter "

Shame that the Daily Rag decided to mantle what has become affectionately known as the " Ronny Punch " is now (in their words) to be known as the "Ronny RAGE!"

As for tomorrow a would happily settle for one bouncing off each post & trickle in right now but would also like a big score too

A hope we get a strong referee because a think we are going to need it!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

The Police can chase themselves. I hope after every goal scored against that flith, players go mental along with management. Its called football.

Just seems to me this whole fiasco regarding celebrations has been engineered to appease that mobs supporters cause we are the clear favourites to win.

Realistically its a new club, same vile supporters and unfortunately there will be trouble regardless of result. When has there ever been a game against past tennants of ibrokes where this has not been the case?

Agree1 Disagree1

@DN30; EVERYTHING is engineered to appease them mate.

Agree0 Disagree1

@green jhedi your right mate. Its like fighting a losing battle.

Agree0 Disagree2

I agree DN30, I don't know why the police are getting involved, it's only natural for a manager to celebrate if his team has a big win.
In the years that Rangers were the dominant team I don't recall them ever been told not to celebrate.
The police should just do their job, and police the crowd, it's not for them to be taking the emotion out of football.
I don't think Ronny deila has ever celebrated in front of opposition fans, so he's not doing it to wind anybody up.
I wonder if their manager will celebrate, if God forbid the result goes against us?.
Probably the police would join in.

Agree0 Disagree1

Gerry c its although we celtic supporters are not allowed to show any form of jublilation.

Our fans behaviour are reknown for being up there with the best. Yet that mob are always disgracing the game

Agree0 Disagree1

Guys I think that the police went to both camps to remind them of there responsibilities etc and the potential "spill overs" that emanate from it in the "aftermath"

I think it is really clever what RD has done he has "sought clarity" from the appropriate authority!

So when we win tomorrow Keevins & co, Shandy Walker & the rest cannot say "hee haw" IMO

How can they? They can shove there opinions where the sun don't shine!

Agree0 Disagree1

Jamie I don't doubt for one minute the police didn't do that. Its just unfair we are getting highlighted in press mate and no mention of them.

CAUTION this post contains a Timalloy joke. Sammy gives his Celtic fan neighbour and his 8 year old son a lift to the semi final, Sammy notices the young lad has rosary beads on him, Sammy laughs and says "is that to pray for a Celtic goal son" "no, says the boy "it's to COUNT them" lol

Can't see anything other than a convincing Hoops victory tomorrow, Play a high tempo passing game and they will have no answer to it. We are simply better all over the park. I really hope tomorrow is the day everything clicks. Looking forward to seeing what team RD starts with. Be a big boost to wrap up a double signing before the game. Again. Stay safe Bhoys & Ghirls & enjoy the day. Raised On Celtic JCGE!

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Hope your right Stan, because I have been watching South Korea boss Australia for the past two hours playing a high intensity, pressing and passing game.

And in the end it looks like Australia are going to snatch it with big lumps up the park.

Cha has been in immense form bombing up and down the right. The commentator has called him a beast for his performance. We have been blessed with some great right backs over the past decade or two.

I hope you're right mate. I'm starting to feel very nervous. And the rangers fans on seem extremely confident. If we play our game we should hammer them. Hail hail

Agree1 Disagree0

I think the first 10 minutes will be crucial Frewbhoy, If we can get an early goal I think they will crumble then we will see the high tempo passing game come into full flow. I hope they don't resort to the high ball nonsense and come at us like they did in the recent game against Hibs. They were soon exposed and taught a footballing lesson. Talking of right backs Agathe would have a field day tomorrow! I hope RD starts with Lustig.

Agree0 Disagree0

We play our best football when we play at a high tempo. Sometimes we tend to lose that intensity and struggle to break teams down as its too slow and predictable. I'm sure the players will be pumped up. If we have a nice lead and they are chasing shadows I can see them resorting to dirty tactics and getting sent off

Agree0 Disagree0

HT, They are are deluded. Their confidence will turn to anger within 15-20 minutes when they see how far behind they really are.

BT86, Agree & our players need to remain calm and not react to elbows or blacks dirty tactics, They won't know how to deal with our midfield tomorrow we will swamp them from the off. An early goal and they will be in complete disarray. I expect Broony to boss this game from start to finish tomorrow.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's not forget by the time kick off comes around they will not have played a full 90 minutes for 22 days, It will be a huge factor on fitness after and hour.
