I was so proud of my wee bhoy who is in p2 the other day...(he does not go to catholic school :-(not my choice) anyway the teacher was giving the class out soccer school leaflets...rangers ones he just said to her he didnt want one cause he hates rangers pmsl even better when mrs bankier bhoy heard as she is a rangers fan ha
I hope so much rangers go into admin at least as me and the mrs have a wee tenner on it ...head in the sand lol
Bankier bhoy

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Pretty sad that you've got your wee one hating a team and not knowing why he hates the team. In fact having no reason to hate the team other than what he's heard from you. {Ed007's Note - Well if Rangers fans are born *snigger* who else is going to teach them the error of their ways. Have you seen the Omen films?}

Agree1 Disagree4

Listen poster without a name... my other wee boy is only in p1 and at the moment he is swaying back and forth between celtic and the darkside so it is nothing I have "taught" him. In fact my wife despite marrying myself is one of the most bitter people I know sometimes children are born smart lol and know the difference between good and evil ha ha ha. Anyway why would I encourage him to like / support a team that may not exist soon that would be heartbreaking pmsl.

Bankier Bhoy

Agree2 Disagree0

Oh and just a thought...my son goes to a school which is predominately rangers supporters maybe that is why he "hates" them? You know he can think for himself and realise the way kids at school are etc? This is a boywho cannot without big trouble between the wife and I own a celtic top (I am working hard on it though) You know celtic fans the more we are pushed the more we support our team faithful through and through unlike some supporters I know of........wonder who I mean?

A wee song for Fat Sally.. (strangely I didn't have to change to many words!)

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

Of Whytes elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
They'll naw been seen on Sky...again

Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need...of old...Watty's hand
In a...desperate land

Lost in a Romanov...wilderness of pain
And all the Huns they are insane
All the Huns they are insane
Waiting for the debt to go away yeah

There's danger in the southside town
Ride the King's highway, Coisty
Weird scenes out on the southside
Ride the highway west, Coisty

Ride out of Snake, ride out of Snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, Coisty
Snake is gone, the Taxman smiles
Ride out of Snake...it's old, and it gonnae be sold

The Celts are the best
The Celts are the best
Get outta here, and they'll do the rest

The blue bus is callin' us
The blue bus is callin' us
Driver, where you taken' us (the airport?)

Coisty awoke before dawn, he put his boots on
He took a girdle from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the blue hall
He went into the room where his assistant lived, and...then he
Paid a visit to Watty, and then he
He walked on down the blue hall, and
And he came to a door...and he looked inside
Whytey, yes son, I want to kill you
Whyte...I want to... get tae f*ck

C'mon QoS, take a chance with us
C'mon QoS, take a chance with us
C'mon QoS, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the blue bus
Doin' a blue rock
On a blue bus
Doin' a blue rock
C'mon, yeah

Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

It hurts to set you free
But you'll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die

This is the end

Wit a day!

what happened to the 10m valued from rangers ha

lenny {Ed007's Note - The £13 million from Man Utd, the £9 million *snigger* from an unknown club (PR hint at LFC), the Leicester enquiry that turned into a bid Leicester didn't know about, the same with £7 million West Ham bid that never happened, QPR being 'hot on the trail' till they sacked the manager who came out and said he was not impressed by the player, Jelavic and his dad saying he was holding out for LFC as they were interested. And the fee to Everton is undisclosed so far, surprise surprise. Craig Whyte has now said that Jelavic wanted to leave, I wonder if a transfer request, verbal or written was submitted by the player who has previous for working his ticket and striking to get his own way. Do you think Jelavic looked like he had been in his bed ill all weekend Lenny?}

Ed007 & All,
Congrats on a cracking read on the page today.
Not banter here, but just interesting to read.
What happened to the blogs ed ?
Anyway, the crack got me reading some on-line press about Rangers selling tranches of season tickets to a London-based ticket agency (was it?).
Without getting involved, I just have a general question. It is possible to get lots of match tickets for the bigger EPL clubs, even for high profile away games - there's tickets for LFC end at Old Trafford, believe it or not.
Are the EPL clubs at it ed, selling season tickets to agencies. They must be mate.
And yet there's tens of thousands of fans on years-long waiting lists for season tickets.
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - Cheers KB, the window has been a bit of a damp squib all over TBH. I don't know if EPL teams use that system, Ed002 would probably be the best to ask. It is hard to get hold of her today of all days but I will ask as soon as I do.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Yeh if you would sometime. No point in me asking that now, too much other stuff on.
I think they must tbh, maybe a couple of thousand. They seem to be in blocks ed as well. I got in to the Upper Centenary at LFC v City match last week, and there was definitely a row / block of one-offs there. I'm not slagging the fans btw, cos I've bought them, and sometimes it's the only way to get in these days. But the seating availability is too regimented to be just chance.
LFC got about 10 year waiting list as well.
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - I'll let you know as soon as I find out mate.}

Would seriously luv to see the bhoys signing a big name today, just to put the final nail in the coffin. Hope it is possible but if not, in lawwell we trust

Believable2 Unbelievable0

It will be a long time 'til I praise Lawell. He has done a good job balancing the books but the standard of player has fallen dramatically during his tenure and failure to back Strachan in Jan 09 with the purchase of Fletcher was the start of their 3 in a row. When we should have taken full advantage of their situation and built a better squad instead of demolishing our once great, European reputation. Now he will treat Juarez return as a new signing! Personally I'd love to see Rangers out of existence (at least temporarily). Would serve them right for buying title after title with illegal money.

There is always going to be a Rankers and an Old Firm however. IF the completely go to the wall then a new club called 'Rangers United', 'Rangers FC' or 'Rangers Athletic' or whatever will be founded. They'll make their way up through the leagues to the SPL and eventually with new money will be competing for titles again. Just remember, in 2002-2003 Fiorentina did this.

At least it will be a laugh for us bhoys in the meantime! I also don't believe for a second that Celtic will struggle financially without them (even if sky bail out of their contract, some TV company will want to show SPL games, even if it is for less money'. And Celtic would enjoy all of the Chamions league money to themselves for a while too. Just my opinion lads.

Matthew

Believable4 Unbelievable0

All the champions league money? Wud need 2 qualify 1st and with no Rangers we wudnt be able to attract the same level of player(we cant qualify now) and without the little tv money we have now we cudnt afford any1 decent anyway. Season ticket sales would fall without old firm games meaning less money coming in. We wud lose our sponsorship deal as we come as a package with Rangers. 2 many folk on here who's tiny minds cant comprehend that no Rangers means a very poor future for Celtic.

Drew

Agree1 Disagree7

So we should bend the rules for them? If they go under they have only themselves to blame!

Agree2 Disagree0

@Drew; really?how are we tied with rankers? the problem for them is sponsorship not us.euro football means better cash,no euro football means less cash.this is a myth peddaled to soften the blow of admin or worse. green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree0

They wont gey away with anything. The fact hmrc have said there is no deal to be done means they obv think they have a strong case. I do think Rangers are headed for administration which will mean a points deduction and prob the sale of their better players. Isnt that enough? Besides which the tainted titles era i believe are the Dick Advocaat era. I dont remember Celtic winning all their games under Venglos and Barnes and only losing out head to head on old firm games. Celtic were rank rotten then the Inverness game at parkhead being the pinnicle and getting barnes the sack. Bitterness and hatred are blinding some Celtic fans to wot is best for the club.

Drew {Ed007's Note - Drew mate, we have been here, and I can assure you Rangers, the SFA and the media did not give a damn if CFC had went under. Nobody was clamouring to help us out, we never sat about bleating like little bitches or being arrogant sods spouting that Scottish football needed us, Scottish football would die without us, nobody said that. Think of how arrogant that actually sounds, Rangers are not bigger than the whole of Scottish football although they would like everyone to think they are. The Rangers fans that went on for months and months that it was all lies because 'it would be all over the papers if it was true' have had their eyes open, too little too late though. The media done what Rangers wanted, sit on the story, don't rock the boat and don't ask awkward questions. Whyte and Rangers PR went into overdrive and the majority of Rangers fans bought it. How any of them can still defend Whyte beggars belief. How many lies has he told, how many promises has he delivered? If Rangers go into admin or worse, relegated, points deducted, the only people Rangers and their fans can blame is themselves. Why should they be treated any different from Gretna, Airdrie, Leeds or Portsmouth? If you are going to gamble by taking these risks, you know the risk, you chose to do it and you must be punished accordingly. Rangers are only like any other business, they need to pay for their mistakes and error of judgement.}

so....the big revelation eh?

the only revelation in that rag is that king and traynor have sat on this news (and more) for months, before finally having the balls to write about it! (is succulent lamb off the menu then?)

what i would question is the decision making with all those connected to rangers. firstly, the media.....they thought that by witholding damaging information on their beloved team, that somehow time would pass and all this would be swept under the carpet....nothing to see here, move along.....well how wrong were they! they have actually made it worse by holding on to this for so long!

then we have the shyte knight....he obviously likes to think he's smart, but he's made 3 MAJOR mistakes here...

1. gambling on making the champions league by mortgaging the season tickets, couldn't afford the first payment so had to mortgage another years season books....now Octopus are the main creditor, why? because he never used any of his own money in securing any of rangers debt....season ticket advances are what 'paid off' the 18m debt to Lloyds.

2. Not paying taxes.....he's obviously been doing that for years, we know that because of his 7 year directorship ban and countless failed businesses, but on a scale like this?? he's well out of his depth here, again, thinking he's smarter than your average bear, but the tax man doesn't like being cheated....especially not 6 or 7 times as looks likely the case. forget the 70m reported, rangers true debts stand at well over £100m!

3. Inflating players valuations....now, all the sensible folk know the reason that made up bids were 'knocked back' that's why no-one has bothered to come in for any of his players. everyone knows the perilous state of rangers finances, and again, thinking he is smarter than your average bear, has actually priced the very players he wants to sell, out of a move. now jelly goes for less than what they paid for him....what a masterstroke!

so....who's gonna be renewing their season books after this then? very few i would think, after all it looks increasingly likely the club will fold, so why throw money away? you wont be getting any of it back!

A certain journalist and website has been warning about this for well over a year, and he constantly gets ridiculed by the rangers fans and dismissed as a fantasist by the rangers symPATHETIC media, and by the whyte shyte himself

well, i, along with quite a few others take great pleasure in saying....we told you so!

PURE COMEDY GOLD!

Hail Hail, ED007 and all Bhoys and Ghirls, funny stuff coming later (and I have Plenty!) but first to more serious matters.
Let that buffoon Traynor not kid you on about his big "exclusive" we all know most of the credit goes to the editor of Rangers Tax Case (Chapeux mon ami)
the MSM are now changing tactics and vying for positions, why? because they are not getting their cosy "lamb dinners" and being fed little news morsels, so like red tops do at election time, they change allegiances.
They are not doing this to help the Rangers fans or in the "public interest" no they are hoping to gain new cosy relationships and more "lamb dinners" from those opposing Mr Whyte.
But back to our real Hero, RTC and all the sterling work done and the painstaking process of getting the truth out there. Sadly this journalist (in the best usage of that word) has had to do it anonymously for fear of petty reprisals and lack of work from people jealous of his journalism and his ethics.
If you "rock the boat" small minded people get nervous. So Mo Chara, editor of RTC I say WELL DONE! Let the People Sing! hail hail Timalloy

The possible actual outcomes are not that bad considering, plus funny thing too it's actually better for Whyte financially to take Rankers into liquidation! It's all just do murky ,crazy and pretty much illegal overall.

CRAIG WHYTE sold off four years of fans' money to help fund his Rangers buy-out, it was revealed last night.

High-ranking HMRC officials are investigating alleged non-payment of VAT since Whyte gained control of the club last May.

Current director Dave King and former board member Paul Murray have been quizzed by the tax authorities as part of their enquiry which has revealed £24.4million has been borrowed against future season-tickets sales.

Tranches of tickets over four seasons have been sold to Ticketus, a London-based group linked to Octopus, and it's claimed this deal helped finance Whyte's operating costs after the takeover.

Whyte himself last night confirmed he had sold off the tickets but denied he used the money to pay off Lloyds Bank. He insisted the £18m for the bank came from one of his companies.

When Whyte took over Rangers' debt was £18m to Lloyds Bank and their wage bill had been reduced to £14m but it is believed the club could owe much more than that.

It's thought the current debt is £21m to Ticketus plus £5m VAT on the ticket deal. But there could be other bills due and of course Rangers are awaiting the final verdict on their £49m EBT (Employee Benefit Trust) tax case.

Last night Whyte insisted the Ticketus deal was normal practice for clubs and his spokesman said: "The suggestion that the Rangers takeover was funded through financing arrangements on season tickets is categorically untrue.

"Rangers FC is no different in that it has a working capital facility with Ticketus, as have many, many other clubs. It is a common arrangement in football. This facility was in place at Ibrox long before the takeover."

The EBT ruling is due within weeks and if Rangers lose they will be facing financial meltdown.

Their debt could then be in the £75m region with liquidation a stark reality.

But many now fear Rangers could be tipped over the abyss and into some kind of insolvency even before their Judgment Day over the tax case.Rangers fans put their faith in Whyte believing he would get rid of the club's debt and also provide transfer money for manager Ally McCoist, who has been an impoverished bystander during this transfer window.

But the Ibrox club's support will be shocked by the detail of invoices and letters now in the revenue's possession. It is claimed these show Whyte sold off massive chunks of Rangers' future season-ticket sales.

And former board member Murray believes the takeover wouldn't have been possible without the fans, even though they had no idea future tickets had been sold off to raise extra cash.

Murray said: "These documents prove to me that Rangers fans have actually paid and will continue to pay for the sale of their club."

He added that HMRC have told him they are also due VAT, as much as £5m, on the deal with Ticketus and insists he has seen details of letters and invoices held by HMRC.

Murray claims that in one of the documents, a letter dated March 8, 2011 and signed by Whyte, it is alleged he made it clear that through Wavetower, his bid vehicle at the time, he would be entering into a deal to sell the season tickets to a company called Ticketus.

They are part of London-based Octopus, a perfectly legitimate lender who grant immediate loans based on future ticket sales. ***** managed to speak with most of the people who were on the Rangers board at the time of the takeover and they insist they knew nothing about the sale of season tickets. In fact they tried to ring-fence supporters' money.

The papers, which are being pored over by HMRC officials, are said to reveal borrowing against ticket sales for seasons 2011-12, 12-13 and 13-14 that Whyte was able to raise £24.4m.

Then on June 27 he was hit with the first of his repayment bills from Ticketus, who were demanding a total of £9.5m, their share of that summer's season-ticket sales. Whyte could only come up with £3.5m cash and to fill the shortfall mortgaged off part of season 2014-15 to the value of £6m.

Opening in March last year Murray claims the detail contained within HMRC's file is extensive and explosive.

This is the timetable and interpretation of events: March 8, 2011: A letter from Liberty Capital (one of Whyte's companies) is signed by Whyte and addressed to Ticketus.

In the letter Whyte confirms the intention to sell Rangers' season tickets to Ticketus.

April 7: Lawyers on behalf of Ticketus deposit £24.4m into a Collyer Bristow (lawyers for Whyte's bid) client account. A further £2m was placed in the same account from a company called JLT Benefit Solutions with £1m from the Merchant House Group, a firm of corporate finance specialists with whom Whyte is closely linked.

May 9: An agreement was entered into between Ticketus and Rangers to sell the season tickets. This was just three days after the takeover date of May 6. The bank was repaid the £18m.

June 27: Ticketus raised an invoice to Rangers seeking first repayment of £9.5m on their agreement. Rangers paid only £3.5m of that amount in cash and borrowed £6m more from Ticketus by selling another portion of 2013-14 as well as a portion of season 2014-15. Analysts stress there is nothing illegal in selling future ticket sales. In fact, it is common practice in British football, although the problems encountered by Leeds United and Newcastle United, who both borrowed too often and too much, are proof of the dangers.

Whyte has never declared the deals with Ticketus although HMRC documents suggest he has cashed in on fan loyalty.

The tax officials quizzed Murray and South African-based King, who was on conference call, as recently as last Friday morning.

They insisted they had no knowledge of what had been happening and Murray, who last year offered to take the club off Lloyds' books and invest £15m in the team in a last-ditch attempt to prevent Whyte from getting the club, said he couldn't believe what he was reading when presented with the HMRC file.

"HMRC asked for a meeting at the end of last week to find out what knowledge I, having been a director of the club at the time, had of these transactions prior to the takeover," Murray said.

"I knew nothing about this and although I have been questioned by HMRC and seen some especially revealing documents which are in their possession, it is still very hard to take in what has been going on.

"Collyer Bristow were acting for Craig Whyte during the takeover and I have been shown their client account, from the opening of it until today.

"I've also seen all invoices from Ticketus to Rangers and Rangers to Ticketus supporting all these actions.

"I can't believe Rangers have been handed over in this way.

"Remember also, the Independent Board, set up to make sure any potential buyers were capable of making the purchase and then funding the business, asked repeatedly where Craig Whyte was getting the money.

"He said it was from his own personal wealth and through Liberty Capital, which he insisted he owned 100 per cent, in the British Virgin Islands.

"Plans were being made to sell off future ticket sales but the directors were never told. This was all being done behind our backs."

King was also shocked to learn of the seasonticket sale and said: "Securitising season tickets is a valid seasonal funding strategy to smooth cash flows within the year - but no longer."

Whyte's spokesman added: "The takeover team instigated discussions with Ticketus prior to the takeover because the relationship with Rangers was already in place and the new owners wanted to continue it.

"They were clear from the outset they wanted to ensure there were robust working capital provisions in place that could deal with the many financial challenges the club faces.

"The takeover was funded by one of Mr Whyte's companies. Several months before then - and long before any discussions with Ticketus - Mr Whyte was asked to provide proof of funds for the takeover and he did that to the satisfaction of the previous owners, Lloyds Banking Group and professional advisers."

not a Celtic rumour but here goes

FOOTY fans can net a historic Rangers
double — their stadium's two giant
screens.
The massive structures, made up of 900 panels,
are up for grabs for £15 ,000 .
The Sony Jumbotron screens had been in place
at the Light Blues' home since 1997 but were
replaced recently.
Asset resale specialists GARC Ltd are flogging

A spokesman said: "It's a competitive price.

Genuinely terrified at the prospect of Rangers going to the wall now. What is the point in shelling out on new players if we cant afford any of them if/when Sky pull the plug? I think we are a stick on for the league but all this uncertainty at Ibrox puts our long term future in serious jeopardy. Would we be in a financial position to bail them out if need be? Would we even be allowed as we would then have a finacial interest in two clubs in the same league? Murray and Whyte might just have killed Scottish football.

Good morning all, had a look over on the dark side, they're all blaming Whyte for their predicament, whilst Sir DM slithers into the camouflage.

CW is an administrator, not an investor, that's my take on it. There's no danger this guy will invest any money into this sinking ship, there will be no signings today, if there is I'll be surprised!

Former UEFA General Secretary David Taylor has given some incredibly candid views on Celtic’s disciplinary matters to notorious phone-in participant ‘Tommy’ from Glasgow.

With most broadcasters well primed to listen out for his distinctive voice and favoured topics ‘Tommy’ has been forced on-line to voice his opinions.

Claiming to be from ‘Glasgow Radio Online’ he managed to phone up Taylor in Switzerland with the former SFA Chief Executive giving some remarkably revealing thoughts on the on-going investigation into the incidents at the Udinese v Celtic Europa League tie last month.

During the interview Taylor volunteered the information that ‘his wife and kids were good catholics’ and claimed that Celtic had ‘not got a lot of friends in the media, particularly the BBC’.

Tommy’s interviewing style would have the famous bleep system on overtime with Taylor exchanging expletives as they both discussed the ‘F*** UEFA’ banner displayed in Udinese.

“My wife was at the game as well,” Taylor, who has a high powered marketing job at UEFA, butted in as ‘Tommy’ explained that he had been at the match with Rennes that sparked the current troubles with UEFA following claims of illicit chants.

CLICK HERE for the link to the interview (warning contains swearing) David Taylor interview begins 5 min 45 seconds.

As well as the banner at the UEFA match Celtic are being charged with their supporters letting off flares at the match but Taylor explained: “To be honest there are clubs being fined every month for flares, it’s no big deal.”

During another crusade from Tommy discussing Artur Boruc being cautioned for blessing himself at Ibrox Taylor interrupted to chuckle: “I know all about it.”

Going on to discuss historical tensions between Celtic and the SFA Taylor admitted: “I think you are right in terms of the history, Celtic fans are great, the humour fantastic, but you could be a little bit more subtle than that (F*** UEFA), to be honest.

“These guys are looking at from a position of what do we do about something like this, do we just do nothing or do we do something?

“What do we do with it, is it a warning? I don’t know what they’ll decide, I hope that they don’t decide to do very much. I think that they’ll be told that this is not acceptable.”

Tommy then claimed that there had been a character assassination of Celtic supporters from the Scottish media with Taylor again jumping in in agreement.

“A lot of the time you haven’t got very many friends in the Scottish media,” he claimed. “I know from the years I was there, particularly the BBC.

“You have some difficulties with them sometimes. Coming from the culture of Scotland it’s just my own impression of the whole thing.”

A bear trying to get away from our woes. Do you not think that with Celtic buying the Pole, bid for Russell, and linked with other strikers that at least one or two are going today. How many strikers can you keep happy. I am sure the Pole would not come unless he was going to play, with the Euros ahead. I think Stokes and Hooper may go, that would be a big risk, as you would have a complete new forward line.

Listen whatever happens tomorrow it could be worse believe me

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't think Brozeck was bought to replace anyone tbh. Lennon said he couldn't keep relying on hooper and stokes for goals in case of injuries, but i do believe that if we're still looking at the likes of salihi and klose, then possibly 1 or 2 might go....samaras and A.N Other.

wouldnt imagine he'd break up H&S partnership, but money talks

Not really we have 4 strikers hooper and stokes who are first choice. sammy who gets about 4 goals a season and bangura who has played about 4 games. the polish guy and another will give us good backup incase of inury
