ED007 I know Motherwell is not far from hamilton, so surely your volunteers should donate some toys to Motherwell FC, so they can throw them out of their prams lol.

{Ed007's Note - What do you expect when Motherwell have employed ex-STV employee and Jim Traynor subservient Grant Russell as PR/Communications manager?}

Read Kev83 saying we are interested in buying a controlling stake in an Australian club of that were to happen would we put our own people in there? Would love to see the maestro get a position within Celtic and think he's still staying out in Oz cut from the same cloth as the great TB.

Murderwell, what an embarrassment they are. Bleating to the beaks like some kind of wounded Sevco. They've made allegations of damage caused by our fans, why don't they back it up with evidence? Their stadium is an absolute tip. And they are nothing but a team of bruisers and thugs.

Getting sick of hearing how we are 'cheating' these crap teams out of a result. If we could be bothered and get into second gear against this guff there wouldn't be an issue.

We should do a lap of honour with the cup before kick off, that would annoy them.

Have you ever been to Fir Park Augustus? Its a dump mate. I would like to see pictures of the graffiti and any evidence it was freshly done by our fans. The seats are like cardboard, cheap and nasty like everything else in the pit.
I hope we annihilate them tomorrow.

I thought Scott Brown spoke very very well tonight on TV commenting on players been hit with missiles at every away game but nothing done and general anger at our success. Mentioned (1) Motherwell free kick for the own goal wasn't one but nobody said anything and (2) yir man who gave away the penalty that wasn't in the final should have had a straight red st start of game for tackle on Dembelle. What go's around comes around he said. When asked if our players go down too easy Rodgers replied 'Did we not win the fair play award last year? ' I think despite coming from the North of Ireland he is now developing an understanding of the extent of anti-Celtic sentiment in Scotland. Well said our Manager and our Captain. ☘️.

As you can guess from my username I've bee cynical about refereeing in the past.

The two points raised by JFP1888 are absolutely bang on the money. There is no way that anyone should be letting any of the jealous mob take the shine off of the march the Double Treble.

For what it's worth, both challenges on Sinclair and McGregor would have meritted freekicks on the halfway line, it's only Scottish football's typical leniency when the ball is in the box there's any conversation. Anyone who has played the game at even schoolboy level knows that. You lift your hands towards an opponent you're always in trouble.

Having seen the highlights again the free kick that led to their goal and the penalty for ours are both pretty similar challenges. Both soft decisions but if you get the wrong side of the attacker and there's contact, whether it be minimal or not the ref will always blow for a foul as it is one of them challenges you shouldn't be making as the attacker will always get the benefit of the doubt. Seen fouls giving plenty of times but also seen worse not given. Ambrose on Sinclair and Hill on Griffiths to name but two.

After the the two games against Moterhwell, the Fir Park coach and his 11 players have been approached by a film producer to make a remake of the Henry Fonda classic film

Hi Ed, Just a wee question on our unbeaten run. It's a marvelous achievement and i hope it goes on and on but do you think it actually hampers us at the moment with regards to throwing in some fringe players/ youngsters to freshen things up. Some of the players look tired and in urgent need of rest. I guess the ideal situation would be to get to the break unbeaten. I'd like to see Kouassi, Henderson, Ajer and even young Johnston given some game time.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I don't think it's hampering young players, it's showing them the standard and level they need to reach at Celtic and it's up to them to show the manager and his staff that they're ready for the permanent step up to the first team squad, youngsters aren't going to learn anything sitting on the bench instead of playing games for the Under 21's or their youth team.
I expect Ajer to move out on loan in January btw.}

30 Nov 2017 12:18:43
Hoping for that myself he was making good progress on loan playing every week, like Christie is. Would far rather the best of our youngsters were on loan rather than playing for development team. Was watching one of Simon Ferrys interviews i think it was the one with Barry Ferguson and Ferguson said these young players are not learning playing against players they have played against year in year out at different age levels and that the reserve league should be brough back so that the youngsters can learn every game playing beside fringe players or first team players coming back from injury. I agree with that.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Players need to be at a certain level before they go out on loan but I agree that more of our youngsters should be out on loan to get regular games. Kouassi would be another one who could benefit from a 6 month loan to get games under his belt now that he is more settled in his personal life.}

30 Nov 2017 13:09:47
I like the look of him Ed i think himself and Ntcham can be big players for us next season. Hopefully get Benyu out aswel.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I had forgotten about Benyu. He was meant to go straight out on loan until Rodgers seen him against Kilmarnock(?) but he seems to have slipped off the radar since then so a loan in January is definitely a possibility.}

30 Nov 2017 22:16:23
If Ajer goes out on loan in January he will join Christie as another promising youth that will never again play a meaningful game for Celtic. Over the last ten years we have loaned out dozens of players and only McGregor has created a Celtic career for himself . I am sure loaning players out is primarily to give them some exposure and hopefully someone will come in for them.

Another thing about the unbeaten run, what would you rather do, if the championship is won, in that enough points have been amassed, and say, eg, there are still seven games left in the season, would you rather give some of the young players game time, and help them develop, by playing them in meaningful games (for the opposition, they might be trying to get into Europe) , or would you rather play the strongest team possible, to try and maintain the unbeaten run, I mean, what would be in the best interest of the club?, the unbeaten run will have to end sometime, but some youngster might get let go, because he never got a real chance to show his capabilities.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Dec 2017 07:25:33
Totally disagree with that Chris you are just assuming that's what will happen why can't Christie who has been Aberdeens best player be the same as McGregor and become a better player for being out on loan, same with Ajer. These lads are progressing better than the players playing in development league playing to 30 fans against lads their same age who they play season after season. Or maybe we can just keep them on the bench where they can enjoy a free season ticket and not progress. Christie has done enough at Aberdeen to warrent a game for Celtic right now. Henderson was also out on loan and game back and impressed although hasn't had a look in under BR.

Hi Ed, love the site - great to keep up with rumors whilst living on the other side of the planet

It's a great time to be a Tim, and although we haven't played brilliant lately, I do think we will kick back into gear soon.

Agree teams are a bit wiser to how we are set up, coupled with loss of form / confidence from a few players. That said - we are far superior to any other team in Scotland. illustrated by how poor we were against a sturdy Motherwell side. and still come away with a 66th game unbeaten!

Looking forward to January, hopefully a hungry decent CB t.
