when are we going to get rid of Lennon he is a fool
his team selections are unbelievable . Kayal, commons, samaras they are the Bermuda triangle we are poor at best and have a squad full of meritocracy . I don't KNOW WHO WE SHOULD GET TO REPLACE HIM BUT I can't TAKE ANY MORE OF THE DROSS WE WATCH WEEK IN WEEK OUT.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bit harsh on NL (fool) weather you think he a good manager or not. Think commons has got to be our most creative player and maybe even top scorer this season. Might not have had a good European campaign but there aren't many that have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Away and boil yer head . TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

Stubhoy, did you mean MEDIOCRITY? If so then I agree with that bit but the rest of your post is bollox!

A lot of us are on a downer mate, what with the Euro exit and the controversy with the GB and the Board and the lack of quality players but who would replace Lennon with at this time and who wants the job?
All good managers are spoken for and it's half way through the season.
We are not playing well and the players we have are obviously not good enough for Europe but we still have a Double to play for and then we take stock at the end of a disappointing season.
Tomorrow is a hard game at a tough venue and we need to support them.
The Board and manager must realise that things have not worked out so far this season after Morton and the CL disaster if they want to fill Celtic Park; they need to stop taking the P.

If we lose to that horrible mob today I would sack him on the spot WILDBHOY

Agree0 Disagree0

Lennon is a man I have always admired for his loyalty to Celtic Football Club and I think he has the makings of a top manager. With all that said, I can't understand why he only plays one striker. For as long as I can remember Celtic have started with AT LEAST two strikers. I know the quality may not be there but the team lacks positivity.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lennon's preparation and selection for this Hearts game has been impeccable. Credit due there and well done.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stubhoy if you can't take any more, stay in the house, oh by the way we just gubbed the big ****
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Calm doon wae the caps lock fella. I did not bother to actually read your drivel was still angry at Celtic fans mentioning bawwy ferguson's daily rangers spot. Hail hail Neil Lennon

What's people's thoughts on Joe Ledleys contract does he deserve a £20,000 - £30,000 a week contract?
Although a think he is a good player a don't feel he does enough to deserve anymore money than the likes of MULGREW, commons, lustig.
He isn't a get in your face hard tackling player, he isn't much of a goal scoring player, he not a pick a pass creative player. He just seems to go about his game quietly for me without ever standing out.
For a big contract in Scotland you really need to do more than that for me. Not looking for an argument just others views as a would keep him on less wages.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

When Joe plays he binds the team togethet, for me he is the unsung hero of the team, cool and calm working effectively for the team, he is being messed about now by Lennon so I'm thinking he's for the off unfortunately

Agree0 Disagree0

I always liked Joe, a good steady 7/10 player who kept things ticking over.Lately, he has however, been very average. I will give him time as he has been kind of stop start but if he is looking for a ridiculous signing on fee and wages, which I think might be the problem, then he will have to go.As you say he is not a stand out creative force and this is something we badly need.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with your post monkeybhoy.
allow his contract to run down and go for stuart armstrong from dundee utd.
cost no more than 1 million, wages of 8, 10 grand a week.
over 4 years we would save a fortune and have a more dynamic midfielder who would chip in with more goals than joe
davie

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we should keep him. Overall he's a good player. And we could do with a few of them!

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Chrisbhoy a think he is a good player a just think on that kind of a wage we should be getting a bit more

Agree0 Disagree0

If Ledley played like this every game ad happily eat ma words he been good very good, but they've all been good.

Hi Ed, had a discussion with my dad today, he was on about the holy goalies blunder last week, anyway basically we were divided on the best Celtic keeper since the 80's, for me it's the holy goalie himself, Big Pat second and FF third. Any chance of a pool {Ed007's Note - Sure mate, I'll give it a couple of hours incase anyone wants to nominate anyone else.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Charbonier was a crackin keeper lol just ended up a greedy d**k

GunnieBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with your selections. But what about the 3 worst goalkeepers .I would go for 1. Ian Andrews 2.Carl Muggleton 3.Gordon Marshall.
67Coatbridge
.PS Well Done to The Wee Rovers {Ed007's Note - A cracking result for Albion today and I do enjoy seeing Motherwell getting beaten.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Charbonier? A assume we're talking celtic goalies. Sanchez Broto was the same good but greedy.
Can't disagree with op choices

Agree0 Disagree0

Anthony Warner must be up there?!

Bigbadjohn

Agree0 Disagree0

Douglas must have been the worst

Agree0 Disagree0

Gould by a mile for me as the worst

Agree0 Disagree0

He took a bit of stick but Hedman was a great keeper for me. If I remember right he had amazing clean sheet stats!

joeshmo1888 {Ed007's Note - In 3 seasons he played 37 matches with 23 clean sheets, a percentage of 62.16% (I'm checking GK's for the survey that's how I have that info at hand lol)

Agree0 Disagree0

No criticism of Big paddy B? I have always thought he was a very average keeper myself.In all the years I watched him I cannot recall him making an outstanding save!

Agree0 Disagree0

Packie was as big a bombscare as any keeper we've had re crosses and commanding his area but as good as any re shotstopping, similar to ff overall boruc was the best for me, I also thought broto loked promising but for the life of me can't remember what happened with him and why he didn't sign,,,, deep river bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree there re PB, he was like a vampire, couldn't handle thrm crosses at all

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow, thought u were a total Stato their Ed. God bless Google eh!
Agreed GJ.Big Packie was a legend as a Celt.but his actual keeping scared me at times. still love the big guy all the same.

joeshmo1888 {Ed007's Note - I'm not that bad.....yet. I do sometimes think I have a bit of a photographic memory at times. The stupid, even pointless stuff I know is unreal :) I do loads of reading about various subjects and enjoy watching quiz shows etc I'd love to have the guts to apply to go on one but that's never happening.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Think broto got greedy ended up back in spain

Agree0 Disagree0

Best for me was big Packy, with Andrews easily the worst.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ma mistake canny believe a wrote charbonier meant javier sanchez broto. Don't know how the f a got them mixed up

GunnieBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You'll need to work hard to make us forget this one GB. I spotted it right away but decided that I didn't even know who you could have meant so let it slide to find out.}

Haha a know ed really don't know where a got charbonier from. Min a read the comments and seen it a burst out laughin with embarrassment. GunnieBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 worst keepers, Magnus headman has to be in there, I know he was good at Coventry but his Celtic spell was a disaster.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sort yourself out ed and get applying, you have a ready made support here. You only live once mucker, no regrets
HH joe

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Then you end up going on and freeze up, no way lol}

The problem you have applying for a quiz show Ed is that they have to see your coupon first. which will scare them right off.none on the radio for you? Hee Hee.

joeshmo1888

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Cheers mate :)

Radio 2 pop master. Get yerself on there ed great first cuppa at work listening to that for years. The newbs all listen to capital now and it kills my brain a little every time the same 7 songs loop all day.
ParadiseAndy.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I listen to internet radio stations (usually geeky stuff like Alex Jones or Coast to Coast AM). Music died for me when Oasis broke up, so if it is music it is pre-Oasis split stuff, The Stone Roses etc a lot of 60's tunes, Pink Floyd, stuff like that, even old 'classic' rap gets the occasional airing.
Now we all know how our parents felt when we put Ebeneezer Goode on back in the 90's with the $hite that is called music today.
I have made a mistake, I do still enjoy some of Eminem's stuff but it's not as good as his early albums.
Programmes like X-Factor have destroyed modern music, and people are embarrassed about 80's music in general with all the New Romantic muck. Come the revolution, wait until people look back on this era and cringe!!}

Hi Ed, guys really like the look of Calvin Miller but I with you on youngsters ed. Between ages 18 -21 they never seem to develop into the player we think they shud. My solution would be to send them abroad to Germany Holland or Spain etc to build on their development and experience different coaching methods and styles. Then get them back better players. Realise this not easy but some arrangement with relevant clubs may suit both parties. Thoughts guys. {Ed007's Note - It's a good point Rayman but I would rather get it sorted ourselves. Other countries don't send their youth out en masse, it is down to coaching methods. As you said Germany, Holland and Spain continuously produce quality youngsters so we should be looking at why and how they can do it and we can't.
Not even only at youth level, look at Paul Lambert, he was about 27 when he went to Germany and came back as a (totally different and much improved) top-class player after a year. It's interesting to note that Lambert done his coaching badges in Germany rather than the the highly praised SFA courses. I do hope (and fully expect) Lambert to become a top manager at one of the BIG teams down south or push Aston Villa into the top 6/8 positions, if Lerner invests more money then who knows where he could take AV.
Sorry I'm rambling away from your original point, I say we need to send scouts and coaches abroad to learn rather than our young players.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Germany is the benchmark. We need to study what they do and mimic them. {Ed007's Note - I'm a big fan of German football as well, give me the Bundesliga over the over-rated EPL and the cheat-ridden La Liga any day of the week. You don't get many poor games in the Bundesliga, no matter who is playing.}

Agree0 Disagree0

No posted on here in moons but still an avid reader and I feel this subject is more important than new 5 million pound signings etc. At the moment I'd say Belgium is the benchmark in producing talent. they went through a lean spell internationally and restructered the coaching and training at youth level now look at the team. We could do a lot worse in Scotland than to study the Belgian model closely.

I hope last nights horrible events in Glasgow will act as a wake up call to some of the users we have here. All we can do now is to pray for their families and loved ones. No doubt the greater Celtic family will rally to the cause as usual.

Anyway some of the carry on here yesterday was Very Childish and immature, we shall leave name calling and taunting at the playground if people don't mind. In that regard I have organised some virtual cage matches, first up is a handicap match, KBarry and Deepriverbhoy V's ChrisBhoy! I'M hoping to find a worthy adversary for Mrs E. Let the games begin

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They will probably be anonymous BB!

Absolutely devastating to all involved last night and certainly puts some squables into perspective.

God bless them x

Agree0 Disagree0

. Mrs E is untouchable.

Agree0 Disagree0

Badbhoy . as one of those named on your post I think I should point out that I disagreed with kb but thought he has the right to express his opinion . I thought chrissy bhoy was flippnt and arrogant in his reply to me which I pointed out and left at that . the only reason I am even replying know is that you tagged it onto tge end of your post abour the horrlble eventa last night and I don't think myself kb and chrissybhoy deserve that given the latest updates I hope you where only trting to be lighthearted after the seriosness of the openeing of your post but I think we could and should have been left to another post. I pologise if this looks jumbled as i'm typing it it on my phone and my thumb is hittig letters i'm not trying to hit. deep river bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes deep river boy I was trying to lighted the mood a bit, I enjoy the banter on here but immature and nasty responses to people who dare have different opinions does my head in

As the events of last night in Glasgow or the Phillipines or Syria or Palestine have shown there are far more important things to be getting hot under the collar over than differences of opinion over football related matters. So kindly take it in the spirit it was meant and if you are unable to do so then that is a matter you need to address with yourself not me

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice one badbhoy. You reply to deepy rivery bhoy in a reasonable manner to begin with then you have to end it by saying he has the problem, not you. Your mention of fights or battles in the same post as the tragic events in Glasgow earlier was tasteless to say the least by the way. You say it was light hearted but a bit of diplomacy would have been more appropriate under the circumstances. And if there's anything wrong with my comment then it's you who has the problem, not me.

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy {Ed007's Note - I don't mind you guys squabbling away (it's that or X-Factor for me) but can I just say I really didn't see anything wrong with the OP by BadBhoy, maybe I'm missing something but I honestly can't.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Bad bhoy I had to address the matter with you as you named me in your post .ive read the post from yesterday again and I think the posts between me and chrisbhoy were not overboard in any way .we exchanged a view and left it at that. i'm not looking for or interested in an argument so I will leave it at that . Chrisbhoy as you will see since reading the post again I noticed you are not named chrissy bhoy so apologies for that. I now know why you changed my name I thought yoy where just acting the james hunt /or being childish I see now you must have thought I was doing the same.deep river bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Had it been a separate post ed then it would have been fine. It was actually quite funny. I liked it. But badbhoy should have nominated himself for the scrap. lol

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy {Ed007's Note - I wouldn't advise anyone to try and tackle Mrs E. Married women, kids and hormones can be a deadly combination.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly Ed you're missing nothing, it was meant to lighten up the mood from yesterday and the petty squabbling childish name calling that went on yesterday, ChrisBhoy I suggest you re read my reply to deep river bhoy and stop being the keyboard warrior ever ready to jump down peoples throats.

Agree0 Disagree0

On the matter of Kids, married women and hormones ed I have a question for you.

what is the difference between PMT and BSE?

One is mad cow disease and the other is an agricultural problem

Agree0 Disagree0

@6: well said deep river bhoy. I love ya really! And you too badbhoy. In my own wee way! lol
