Maybe something we might agree on for a change.
How the hell has Stockley got away with that challenge? After not checking to see how KT was, he then has the brass balls to use Twitter to claim his innocence but still doesn't offer a word of apology or best wishes for a speedy recovery: if a normal person bumps into someone in the pub by accident, they apologise and check on how they are, but this scumbag can't even do that after sticking his teeth into the roof of his mouth!
And some reporter knob has described it as a "split lip". Jesus wept.

Would any of you's bhoys have taken Bruno Alves? I know he's getting well on but I think the odd short term deal for 1 or 2 guys like this would work well with the young guys in the squad and as long as you can get a full season at least out of them, could bode well in big European games, think this guy will stroll it over here, he's slow as rubbish but you can't knock his pedigree, your thoughts? 🇮🇪✌️.

{Ed007's Note - Only if we're looking for labourers to work on building the hotel.}

Really? My money's on him for most red cards of the season never rated him in his prime loving the fact he's going to be a hun tho his fines might save them some wages.

Slow as rubbish☺️Surely he can say sh1t on here.

😂😂😂👏belter ed, do you know what I mean but? Maybe no as old as him but guys with top European league experience say 30 to 35, where u can maybe get a decent price and let them finish career with us, I know it's not good in terms of sell on fee but I think a good balance of experience and young guys can produce a good European campaign which ultimately earns you more dough and balances the loss 🇮🇪✌️.

{Ed007's Note - Maybe a few years ago when he was leaving Fenerbahce but not now.}

30 May 2017 21:07:12
Guys it's early days and none of us including the Edds know who we are going to sign. I would say if we spend anything less than 10 million on 2 players then we are being short changed. It's a lack of funds and ambition that will ultimately drive Brendan away. If there has ever been a Celtic manager that deserve the full backing of the board it's Brendan. The man can't do any more. Hopefully the board will back their man to the hilt.

Really don't understand how a figure like £10m being spent on 2 players makes it a success. We could get 2 Rafael Scheidts for £10m does that make it money well spent? We can invest wisely like we did last summer we got Dembele and Sinclair for under £4m so there is players out there who don't cost a fortune yet can still improve the team. One player i would like to see the Club invest in is Paddy Roberts as we all know what he is worth and what he can do so it is not a gamble it would be money well spent. I'd like us take in 3 players who you would class as starters and not squad players and we can easily punt the 6 or 7 squad players who are not going to feature again next season. We also have Christie, Ajer, Kouassi, Aitchison, Ralston, Miller, Johnston etc. This squad will only get better and better under BR. Also don't think the amount of cash BR has to spend will matter to him in the slightest, he loves it at Celtic, I think improving players, improving the training facilities, the pitch etc is more important to him that what amount of cash he gets. We are well ahead of the rest on and off the pitch and another summer like last year and we will be in a good place Dafabet.

Agree2 Disagree1

30 May 2017 22:20:53
Stan, most of the fans want and deserve a couple of players whom are not projects and can play at champions league level. Scrap the 10 million value if it costs 20 million then we have the funds and should spend it. Roberts would cost 7 to 10 million easily.

Agree0 Disagree1

30 May 2017 22:50:10
If you take in 3 players classed as starters you'd need to pay over 10 million.

Agree0 Disagree2

30 May 2017 23:24:30
Dafabet I want players myself my point being it's not the price tag that makes the signing a good signing as was proved last summer.

Rememberthe10.Sinclair, Dembele, Roberts loan, Armstrong, Simunovic. what did they cost combined? nowhere near £10m so having to spend that amount to get 3 starters is a myth.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 01:13:23
If Patrick Roberts was signed, along with a quality CB and CF (Thinking Dembele might go) and get rid of ALL the fringe players, I'll be a happy Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 May 2017 21:56:48
How much did Dembelle and Sinclair cost?, what is this obsession with spending big?, would rather young players were brought through or young talent like Dembelle and Wanyamma were scouted.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 May 2017 22:12:50
Agree totally Stan .

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 09:15:01
As long as they are the right signing for the team then I don't care about the price or where we sign them from.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 09:52:36
I just mean if we want accomplished players with a but of european experience we would have to pay decent miney and its something id likd to see done, for every dembele there's a bangura and a balde.

I see that Rogic got a one match ban for celebrating scoring the winner that won us the treble, meanwhile no action is to be taken against Stockley for elbowing Tierney in the face and breaking his jaw.
If anything sums up how inept the SFA are, then surely that is it.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

30 May 2017 19:56:22
Rogic has nobody to blame but himself for picking up too many bookings, although I'm sure it was well worth it!

Agree1 Disagree6

30 May 2017 21:47:12
it should not be a bookable offense to run to your fans or take your shirt of celebrating a goal it's almost as bad as American football where the NFL decide what type of celebrations are acceptable. for me unless your standing in front of the opposing fans/ bench giving the old up your's it should be all good.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 May 2017 22:01:28
Agree with kevbhoy, although it was a great goal and worthy of celebration, all players know when they leave the field and run into the fans they are getting booked.

I wonder of Chelsea will come back in for Gordon now that they have accepted a bid for Begovic?

I think this has been his best season for us but I would still sell him for the right price. I just can't take to any keeper who palms the ball away instead of trying to catch it, when possible.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

30 May 2017 14:25:31
Well your going to be disappointed with whoever we get mate cos they all do it these days, so its time to stop criticising CG for doing it.

Agree4 Disagree1

30 May 2017 17:04:59
Craig Gordon is the best keeper we've had after Artur Boruc and big Fraz the Forrester. Why he gets stick he dies is lost on me apart from odd kick in the head to opponents-one or two near post howlers and kicking the baw oot wae wellies on wrang feet like big Packy once did and even then his sweeper keeper skills have improved under Brendan. First class shot stopper and top goalie for me! ☘️.

Agree3 Disagree0

30 May 2017 18:25:05
Why would I be disappointed with whoever we sign as a replacement Rayman? Are you suggesting there are no better keepers out there than Gordon? Surely BR will not rest on his laurels and try to gradually improve every position to make progress on the European stage. Is that not we want?

I noticed Gordon palming a ball out again to someone's feet during the Cup Final. If we get to the group stages and he does that to Suarez, Ronaldo or Aguero it is going to cost us a goal.

Look the guy has had a good season, the whole playing squad have been brilliant. The point I am making is that I would not have a minutes hesitation selling him (or anyone else) if we were bringing in a higher standard of player. It's that simple for me.

Agree0 Disagree1

30 May 2017 18:53:52
Higher standard of player mate is going to cost 8-10m for me, unless we find an equivelant of VVD or Wanyama in goals.
Its very unlikely to happen and its a case of careful what u wish for, if the Papers had splashed their back pages about CG off to Chelsea u would prob be on here complaining the papers trying to sell our players and upset the squad.
So is it ok for you to do it mate?

Agree0 Disagree1

30 May 2017 18:59:49
boruc as back up at celtic?

Agree2 Disagree2

30 May 2017 19:40:09
Rayman I personally don't think it would cost £8-10m to replace Gordon. Is that the same as saying he is an £8-£10m player still? If we were offered that there is no chance he would be here next year. Foster, Boruc and Gordon himself disprove the theory that it would cost that sum for a keeper.

We will agree to disagree. You are obviously very happy with our squad and feel that we don't need to improve it. I on the other hand think that every position is up for grabs, every season. De Vries will most likely leave this summer so one way or another Gordon will soon face comptetion for his slot. I am fine with that, that's the way it should be.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 May 2017 20:18:57
I don't think you're grasping the point abighand, of course, there are better keeper's out there but they are outside of our spending limit's unless a gem that's been overlooked somewhere show's up we will have to stick with Gordon it has nothing to do with being content with the present squad it's about being realistic in regards to spending.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - What about Danny Ward? Just been promoted with Huddersfield, on his way out of Liverpool and a player Rodgers knows well and tried to sign last summer before De Vries.}

30 May 2017 20:30:31
Still not better than Gordon. IMO, we have one of the best keepers in Britain. Why he gets stick is beyond me. Look at Brava at City - he has cost £30million over two moves. And you'd be better off with a statue.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - By no stretch of the imagination is Craig Gordon one of the best GK's in Britain, that's just preposterous. De Gea, Cech, Szczesny, Courtois, Begovic, Forster, Pickford, Mignolet, Stekelenburg, Lloris, Schmeichel and Brighton's David Stockdale are all better 'keepers than Gordon and that's not even going into the Championship where there's guys like David Marshall and Alex Smithies playing. I can't decide who's better or worse between Gordon and Joe Hart.}

30 May 2017 20:42:46
Ed007 surely after his save to get Huddersfield promoted some diddy team down south will be offering him a huge wedge that we can't or won't match just look at the keeper from Sunderland get's relegated has a few good outing's and from one report I saw he is now worth 20+ million now I am not saying if there is an affordable better keeper not to go for them I just don't think there are many out there better for the price we could get for Gordon.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You wouldn't but doesn't that tell you something in itself, if Gordon was THAT good Chelsea wouldn't have offered £2-3 million would they?
And obviously we'd need to spend more than that to replace him if we were shopping in England, there's plenty other places out there we scout.}

30 May 2017 21:02:00
Danny Ward is a fantastic keeper IMO mentioned on here before, Jurgen Klopp did us a massive favour taking him back from Aberdeen he saved them umpteen points Ed and kept Aberdeen close to us

Am a big CG fan but at £4 mill I would take it all day long if we get two good seasons out of him with his history I will be surprised.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Gordon turns 35 this year so surely Rodgers is looking at bringing someone else in? Bailly will be off and I don't think De Vries will hang about if he can get a move, is the manager going to bring in another of his old pals to sit on the bench or is he going to bring in a quality younger GK to challenge Gordon's spot? Gordon is now getting to the stage of his career where he should be No.2 at a club like Celtic and if there isn't a new GK this summer then it'll be an absolute must next year.}

30 May 2017 21:44:20
I totally disagree with you! I think Girdon is a fantastic goalkeeper. God in heaven only knows what he has done to rock your boat!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It started off when he signed for Celtic and went downhill from there.}

30 May 2017 21:51:31
De Gea, Lloris, Courtois and Schmeichel maybe out of your list. Mignolet? Seriously? You cannot be for real.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm not wasting my time arguing about Craig Gordon AGAIN, it's been going on for years and even though he has improved this season even the manager didn't fancy him when he first came in. The summer will show if Rodgers thinks he's improved enough to be his No.1 in the CL.}

30 May 2017 22:04:20
Danny wards a great shout 23 yrs old with plenty of game time . tho must admit I've wanted us bring Marshall back for a long time now.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 May 2017 22:14:53
Safe to say he divides opinion! Still can't get my head around people focusing on his shot stopping and ignoring his all round game. He is a poor man's Carl Muggleton.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 May 2017 20:56:41
Mate this is the first time in a long time that we are happy with our team and u want to sell someone.
Of course I want it to improve but where?
All our players at the moment are of a good standard some are excellent, as I said it would take a VVD or Wanyama type to improve but they are very difficult to find.
Every club is looking for them.

Its going to be difficult for BR to improve the first X1 without spending big and goalie is not a priority in my eyes.
CG has proven everybody wrong not only that, he is NO 1 for Scotland again.
I said during the Euros last year that there were 20-30m goalies palming the ball out and causing goals, yet these so called superstars are supposed to be better than CG.
If Courtois, Hart, Neuer are doing it then he is in good company.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 01:59:32
Mat Ryan from Valencia. He'd be ideal, plays the sweeper/ keeper role that we need.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That's a great shout and isn't he available?}

30 May 2017 10:42:38
So, so many people hurting over Celtic's success this season it's actually quite amusing. Pundits, Ex Players for the Old Rangers, journalists and the list goes on. Even Aberdeen players this morning moaning about the way Celtic players were celebrating after the cup win 😂! And an honourable mention to the rat (Mcinnes) , the look of envy as the whistle was sounded towards Scott Brown was marvellous 😂! Hope everyone has a fantastic summer. And a big thanks to the Eds for supplying a fantastic site all season. Bring on next season. HH.
