Ed a little distraction from Sunday.
I saw a report that man United were telling season ticket holders they HAVE to buy tickets for the Cambridge replay or they will be banned for the next home game!
Is this legal? I would have thought by prepaying for the season ticket you would have no obligation to buy any other tickets and by prepaying you would already have your seat "bought" for?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Why would it not be legal, it's been the same terms and conditions for the last few years and when you buy your ST you are accepting the terms and conditions. All of Utd's 55,000 season-ticket holders are obliged to buy tickets for FA Cup and CL games, LC matches can be opted out from as can the FA Cup for those under 16, and the payment for these tickets is automatically debited from members’ accounts as and when required. ST holders are allowed to give away tickets for the Cambridge match as long as they can vouch for the recipient, as the ST holder is responsible for the behaviour of that person when attending.}

It makes sense now as Old Trafford is always full, even for the crappier games. I assume this is not the same for the whole prem as I have seen some other grounds half empty for cup games.
Just a wee note about Sunday. To all our supporters going to the game, be safe! I'm quite worried that the scummy elements of the other mob will show their true hateful side. Other than that, I'm not looking for a cricket score. I would be happier with an accomplished lesson in beating a lower league team with the good football I know we can play.
Mon The Hoops!

Is it just me or does Thierry Henry make you want to smash the telly up when he starts to speak. Than French monotone voice drives me crazy!
Considering the magnitude of this weekend game I can't believe that tv are not talking about it more, the cricket gets better coverage. Hail Hail

Totally agree mate! Never liked Henry! Great player that he was,but the arrogance that he had really made me angry! Must a been the old pals act him getting that job because to me he talks the biggest load of garbage! But I suppose they need a 3rd stooge to keep carragher and Neville company! Pair a clowns! 😆

Agree0 Disagree0

Bring back keys and Gray!

Agree1 Disagree0

Clown? Gary Neville is the best pundit out there.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I didn't want to say anything as I'll get accused of being bias but I agree with you.}

30 Jan 2015 20:31:55
A hated neville as a player but he's a top class pundit a could listen 2 him talk about the game for hours

John Hartson frys ma nut. He never says anything constructive, always goes on an opinionated rant about someone/something.

I am doing my best to avoid all the slanted media hype and the loaded questions asked to anyone with a link to Celtic as this 'Old Firm return' garbage gets rammed down our throats and up our jacksie.
The varying reports mentioning administration, liquidation (ha ha), relegation and how much we all miss them are as predictable as my next bowel movement and is just publicity seeking desperation.
Honestly. I would have been absolutely delighted never to have played the tribute act EVER and was hoping that they would actually be liquidated as well.
But there you go - and the game is almost upon us.
I would hope that our support behave in a dignified and befitting, superior manner and remember the biased media spotlight is craving a scandal of one kind or another.
I would hope all who attend, do so in safety and sensible diligence befitting this cauldron of hate.
Finally I hope Scott Brown leads the team with enthusiasm, skill and confidence - with a cool head and the rest of the side put on a performance befitting the difference in class, tempo and standard between us and Scotland's newest club.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Why do you feel the need to ask our supporters to behave? I think you're getting us mixed up with fans of the club playing at £1brox and I find talk like yours actually quite patronising.}

I'm going to go mental. Got my flag soaking in the ronson already.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic will win the game with plenty to spare

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, I think you're being harsh. I didn't read JungleJim's post as patronising. He didn't ask anyone to do anything. I read it with the message that he hoped a section of our fans wouldn't get drawn down to the levels of Sevco fans. To me it read as a reminder to us all not to be sucked in by Sevco bile and hatred. To think that 100% of our fans are level headed and sensible is inaccurate. We have some persons among our ranks. JungleJim is simply hoping out loud that they don't let us down.
That's a fair comment for him to make. Isn't it?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Maybe he can come and help you cross roads and explain the dangers of sticking forks in electric sockets.}

In all the comments I post, I never expect everyone to agree, but I've never been called patronising before ED.
In the recent past, a section of our supporters have been associated with flares, controversial banners and non - football related chants and the 'media and authorities are always over eager to sensationalise and blacken our good name and that was what I was getting at. No offence was meant to any Celtic supporter.
Like all of us, I am only too aware of the hate-filled garbage that fuels the other team and I detest it; but it always seems to slip under the radar.
Anyway, COYBIG!
Cheers mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Yet you feel the need to come on here and tell people how they should behave. Do you think our supporters are that dumb they need you to tell them how to behave?}

Anyone think that Guidetti will get the chance of his hat-trick against Rangers? Doesn't seem like RD's first choice at the moment .

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Don't think he could kick his own @rse just now!

Agree2 Disagree0

I'd play him and Scepovic. Ronny probably will opt for Griffiths.

Agree1 Disagree1

LG is by far our best striker JG can leave right now as far as I am concerned. If LG starts I fancy him to score a couple of goals, have faith in the wee man. Hail hail

Agree1 Disagree0

In was tempted at LG for a hatrick think he will play a blinder. 25/1 not a bad price

Agree0 Disagree1

31 Jan 2015 12:07:33
Scepovic is a good player that isn't getting a chance. I think it would be wise starting him over Leigh or John.

The game on Sunday is a convenient distraction from the transfer window and a win would give the board the perfect excuse to let the deadline pass without any additions, although I would hope I'm wrong?
I was expecting/hoping Bolton would come in for any two from Mulgrew, Forrest, Mathews or Stokes and that would finance some business of our own.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Bolton are skint, they only missed out on receiving a transfer embargo by the skin of their teeth. Commons asked them for £16k a week and they couldn't pay him that.}

Although Leeds have an embargo I keep reading they want Stokes. I can't see us letting him leave on loan he's been doing okay for us

ED007 heard that Mike Ashley has informed any Sevco player who "sells the jersey" on Sunday must pay full retail price lol

I reckon the atmosphere on Sunday will be vile to say the least. To all bhoys and ghirls, maintain dignity, be street aware, be safe. Do not become isolated. Do not become a statistic.

Life and family is far more important than football.

Forgive me if ye think I'm lecturing, I'm not but I've seen first hand the damage a blade or broken bottle or boot can do.

So please be concious of your surroundings at all time.

Well said BadBhoy.

Stay safe fellow Bhoys & Ghirls.

Hail Hail
DBB

Agree0 Disagree1

I hope we run through that mob like a dose of the clap and hammer them at least 4-0

Agree0 Disagree1

I just hope we get an early goal, and take the tension out of the match.
The one thing that worries me is that quite a few of our players have never played in a match like this, so you can't quite be sure how they will handle the occasion.
If we play anything like we can, then I am sure we will win by 2 or 3 goals, so I hope we make a fast start, and don't let them get any sort of foothold in the match

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jan 2015 15:14:27

The word on the telle is if we bid 2 million upfront we will get armstrong I really hope we do get this lad he's real quality that we need.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Very intelligent player. For such a young player really tries to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and orchestrate things. Links up really well with GMS too. Think they're more capable of the stuff RD wants. Will only get better at Celtic and with age. Well worth the money. Shame Gauld wanted to play abroad otherwise I would have had the three of them. A goalscoring winger in the summer to play on the left, Armstrong in the middle and GMS on the right and I'd be pretty chuffed.

On a sidenote looking forward to see what Wakaso can do second half of the season. Pkayed really well in the African cup and only reinstates my belief we are yet to see the best of him having watched him in Spain and seen glimpses in Russia.

Agree1 Disagree1

Hi JT a never seen much of the African cup mate but I like your train of thought I was excited @ Wakaso signing he could/should be making a better impact although Henderson has done well in there a just hope it is not like McGregor an goes off the boil

Nothing better IMO than one of our own "making the grade" best just of continuity rather than these foreigner's using us as a "stepping stone" atvb

Agree0 Disagree1

Think Henderson is definitely better in the middle. Probably more cm than cam long term I would say. See how he goes though. Pretty happy with Brown, Johansen, Henderson and Biton competing for central positions. Still wouldn't mind a Wanyama type figure in there though.
