After two complete transfer window bans so opening of Jan 2014 window.

Agree1 Disagree1

Ok so why do articles say 1st sep?

Agree0 Disagree0

They say they can register out of contract players on 1st sep

Agree0 Disagree0

From what i have read this is what im pretty sure is

1. Rangers can SIGN players whenever they want (they cannot play but can still be paid)
2. Rangers can REGISTER FREE TRANSFERS from 1st September 2013 (window closes on 3rd i believe)
3. Rangers can REGISTER PURCHASED TRANSFERS from 1 January 2014.
4. Rangers may field TRIALISTS FOR UPTO 3 games as the players do not need to be registered

Agree1 Disagree2

They can sign free agents after next Summers window closes.
They can sign players from other teams when the winter (jan 2014 opens).
Sevconians are clutching at it being one calendar year, from the date starting their official ban. Which gives them 24 hours of next summers window which is cheating the punishment. SFA will clarify and if needs be give them a year and two days to sort it out.

Agree4 Disagree0

Not entirely correct they can sig any player they want (within transfer window limits obv) however they can only register u18 players to be played at the moment. they can register any players out of contract as of sep 1 (prob pre contract) and then register any other players signed (who had existing current contracts). they technicaly have a registeration embargo not a transfer embargo.

Agree0 Disagree0

And a player that is 'registered' can then play immediately (so an out of contract player can play from 1st September)?

Great to see St Mirren playing well in SPL and edging a cool away victory at a good dun Utd to take all three points. To think Rangers tried to buy out St Mirren for their SPL and SFA share and shut them down. Life in the SPL is exciting and a good level especially without the cheats of 11 years with illegally registered players using EBTs. It was fitting that club was liquidated and ended.

Believable12 Unbelievable15

Days to go my friend until titles rightfully stripped from the oldco and rightfully given to the deserving clean runners up/ finalists.

Agree11 Disagree13

"Rangers go under, 14 June. The club was liquidated mid June"......FIFA.

"NewCo Rangers does not and never has played in the SPL"...... Lord Nimmo Smith, Scottish High Court Law Lord.

Rangers2012, formerly Rangers FC plc, founded 1872 and incorporated 1899 in Liquidation.......... Companies House, Edinburgh, Scotland.

Agree18 Disagree14

"It's the same club, I bought all the history" ......... C Green.

Agree8 Disagree4

Think the o.p meant 139 years of cheating

Ed can you settle an argument? Im sure before the last Manchester when Sly were talking to Robert Duvall and Tom Cruise before the game that Duvall mentioned Jinky as the greatest player he had ever seen. Can you confirm as there is a fifty riding on it?

Alastair Johnson ending the year by placing the negligence and blame fairly and squarely with SDM.

Former Rangers chairman: Selling to Craig Whyte 'a heinous offence'

30 December 2012 13:04 GMT

A former chairman of Rangers has branded Sir David Murray's decision to sell the club to Craig Whyte "a heinous offence".

Alastair Johnston said there were outstanding questions about the events which led up to the Ibrox side going into administration in February.

Mr Johnston was chairman of the club from August 2009 until May 2011, when Sir David sold the club to Mr Whyte for £1.

He told News that the sale was "somewhat controversial between myself and Sir David."

He continued: "I think he's done a wonderful job over the years for Rangers Football Club. That he sold the club to Craig Whyte for £1 and let somebody who's addicted to lying and cheating - and, candidly, was a chancer - into the cockpit in the left seat, as they say in aviation terms, was, in my mind, a heinous offence."

Sir David has previously insisted he was "duped" by Mr Whyte. He said in March: "I was primarily duped. My advisers were duped, the bank was duped, the shareholders were duped. We've all been duped. Is duped the right word? Duped is the right word.

Johnston and the board previously dismissed the "duped" defence stating they gave SDM the private investigators inches thick report into Whyte demonstrating clearly his failings.

Johnston also blaming Lloyds and Ticketus, lol two honest institutions owed money by old historical Rangers. Yeah it's the creditors fault for really being duped by a club with no intention of paying back.

Believable9 Unbelievable14

Johnstons dossier went to the police with allegations of criminality regarding SDM selling to Whyte. Where are the police in that investigation?
I know that club hAs since fallen into the abyss and perished but crimes are crimes.

Agree8 Disagree13

Johnson covering his own skin as he was the chairman of the board before and after the sale. Clearly he and the whole board negligent. He's telling BDO and SDM that's he's not going to be the fall guy..

Agree7 Disagree12

After some weeks into administration, the pressure from Rangers fans on SDM WAS HUGE and he did a TV interview. He stated, what Im surprised at is how quickly he (Whyte) went into admin.

IF THAT ISN'T EVIDENCE OF PRE KNOWLEDGE/ premeditated admin nothing is. He knew Whyte was going to do it but thought it would be a bit later. Somebody get it on YouTube.

Agree7 Disagree11

Johnston wouldn't be bothering about any of this if he thought it was the same club and history. Clearly he doesn't. He firmly believes Whyte destroyed the old historical club.

Just watched the football league show on bbc and was very impressed with young Robbie Brady. Young Irish lad on loan at Hull from ManUtd. Plays left side and a sweet left foot. Dont know if he's in Ferguson's plans or if we could get him but could be worth taken a chance on.
