After seeing the group I think we need to sign maybe 2 quality and at least one experienced player at centre back to tighten up our defence, and a good striker to help out. I could see us in 2nd place as long as we be tight and avoid given the ball up easily on stupid mistakes at the back for slack passing could finish us. Let's go bhoys!

Not the worst group to be in .... I see 5 points possible 7 ....Second place in this group is a big ask but not undo able ...If the team as a whole keeps developing a couple of the players find their last season form ,a few hit and run results are not out of the question ... dont forget this season 4 played 4 win ...TTTS

Keep dreaming - 4 wns against much lesser opposition than the three teams we got in the CL proper. Let's face it, we'll struggle to pick up a point away so that means we need a virtually flawless home record to stand a chance. We'll not expect anything against Barca and Benfica have long since ditched their we don't travel well tag. Spartak won't be easy either - I reckon we might manage 4 points

I agree with the lesser opposition, but surely even you can see a huge improvement in our away form, we played 3 good european teams in the Europa last year and did well in all 3 games.

Rangers fan here congratulations on reaching the champions league group stages, great for your fans and scottish football no doubt! just looked at ur group, i thk you've a good chance of getting out of it tbh, forgetting about Barcelona i thk use r more than capable of beating benfica and Moscow at parkhead, and if use get anything away from home use could go through gd luck! A Rangers fan here, I have to say well done on getting to CL league stage. But I also have to say that for the Scottish representatives in CL to have a manager sporting the Irish tricolour is embarrassing. Don't remember yellow being part of Celtic's colours.

Really should show either Scotland's colours (that won't happen), or the club colours, green and white.

The pictures are going throughout Europe and beyond and people may consider that you are Irish not Scottish. At a time when our game is suffering, I know because of us, we need all the good publicity we can get, and this is not helping.

I have no doubt I will get numerous replies about cheating and stripping of titles and HMRC and Ticketus and dual contracts and all the rest but am genuinely trying to make a point.

I am not suggesting that you want to be Irish, only making a point. {Ed007's Note -Yellow isn't part of the Irish tricolour either.}

The green whyte and orange are on the Celtic away top as part of our 125 year history celebrations. Signing Del Piero would be absolutely amazing! The new Lubo. The influence he would have on the development of Hooper, Stokes, Watt and Forrest would be enormous!

Or he could be the new Freddie Ljungberg , he is 37 years old and not as fit as he used to be , we should be looking at young hungry up and coming talent ie Gary McKay-Steven , Johnny Russell , David Templeton not ageing superstars looking to top up their pensions .

I think it would be grossly unfair to think Del Piero would only sign for us to top up his pension. If he wanted to do that he could sign for Sion or Sydney FC ($70k a week) and you cant tell me that clubs in Asia or America won't be looking at him.

The Daily Ranger is reporting that Sevco are pursuing a deal for David Templeton. I personally think it would be tragic for Scottish football to lose one of our best young talents to the lower divisions for 3 years. He's available, he's a talented winger and is a Celtic fan - what are we waiting for?

I would much rather take him than Chris Humphrey or spend a fortune on Del Piero for one season. We could do with genuine wing options. What do you think, is it a possibility?

He's not a celtic fan comes from a family of supporters of the team once called rankers now sevco scotland {Ed007's Note - Templeton is a CFC fan. His dad was a Rangers fan hence his middle name. When his parents split up he went with his mum who's family are all CFC fans. It is well documented and the player himself has explained it hundreds of times.}

I always assumed he was a teddies fan because of his name, there's an article in the Scotsman today explaining how that came about. He is a hoops fan.
