I see the CEO and manager of sevco5088/Scotland Ltd have both been found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute and lightly sentenced by the SFA. The shame continues.

When Green's new football club applied to get into the SPL, a football club called The Rangers FC Plc, incorporated in 1899, was still in the SPL and used its vote to allow new club in.

So there were two clubs in existence at the same time.
The old football club shortly to be liquidated.

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Everyone knows Craig Whyte purchased Rangers football club, founded 1872 and incorporated 1899, from David Murray.
Charles Green never purchased that football club at all. Charles Green set up a new football club and made an offer for a stadium and training ground.
If it were the same football club it wouldn't have tried to get another clubs membership of the SPL and SFL, because it would have its own memberships.

Agree10 Disagree0

Upon a successful Creditors Voluntary Agreement (CVA) Green would have taken ownership of the old club and saved it. Unfortunately the majority Creditors voted not to accept his offer and the historical Rangers FC is being liquidated. Under insolvency law Green cannot trade with the logos, brands, history, traditions, etc, etc, of the old club, so why is he blatantly doing so? And why does it appear that the authorities are doing nothing about it?

Agree10 Disagree0

If Rangers are the same club that finished second in the SPL last year (under D&P) then why aren't they playing Europa league football.
Is it because Green's football club is new and D&P are still at the original Rangers FC liquidating it. A club that failed to produce two years of accounts before going into liquidation.

Agree7 Disagree0

Why would anyone bother with a CVA at all? If, by allowing a football club to liquidate, leaving nothing for Creditors, you can start up immediately with exactly the same logo/ badge, strip, name, history, tradition, ..... Why bother offering creditors anything at all if u get everything anyway, without giving creditors a dime?

Agree7 Disagree1

The only reason sevco fans have for it being the same club is that it's a holding company being liquidated and not the football club.
A really weak defence for the indefensible.
FIFA, UEFA and the SFA require football clubs to be incorporated institutions, whether Ltd Companies or Plcs. The football club IS the company, they are one and the same thing, both indestinguishable from each other. The board of directors of the football club are the exact same personalities on the board of directors of the company because they are one and the same and one board.

Agree6 Disagree0

Champions league qualification, Champions league draw possibility to sign some quality yet still the favourite topic of conversation is still Rangers? Why do we really matter to what is happening at your club, we are no longer your rivals, the likelihood of playing each other is highly unlikely. We are happy with our lot, time to move on what do you lot think.
A RANGERS fan!

Well done to Neil and the bhoys on reaching the Champions League proper. Absolutely superb performances by all last night. I was always confident this team had the potential to make it - unlike the doom merchants who reckon that without new signings we would not have got past Helsinki.
On the subject of signings, I posted many times that we could not afford Rhodes and would have to break our transfer record to sign him.
Anyhow, had a wee sneaky feeling we would get Spartak Moscow and see McGeady back.
I think we have a (decent) chance of finishing 3rd - we'll see.....................hail hail!.................kbt1978

Believable6 Unbelievable0

I would have liked to have seen Rhodes at Celtic but not at that cost. Mrs E

After seeing the group I think we need to sign maybe 2 quality and at least one experienced player at centre back to tighten up our defence, and a good striker to help out. I could see us in 2nd place as long as we be tight and avoid given the ball up easily on stupid mistakes at the back for slack passing could finish us. Let's go bhoys!

McDonalds isnt the striker we need.

30 Aug 2012 19:54:25
hi ed whats your thought on a striker, do you think it will end up a last miute panic loan signing, cant believe their is enough time to sign anyone on permant contract {Ed007's Note - I don't think there will be any panic buys. There is plenty of time to sign players on permanent contracts.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Aug 2012 19:49:40
Not the worst group to be in .... I see 5 points possible 7 ....Second place in this group is a big ask but not undo able ...If the team as a whole keeps developing a couple of the players find their last season form ,a few hit and run results are not out of the question ... dont forget this season 4 played 4 win ...TTTS

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Keep dreaming - 4 wns against much lesser opposition than the three teams we got in the CL proper. Let's face it, we'll struggle to pick up a point away so that means we need a virtually flawless home record to stand a chance. We'll not expect anything against Barca and Benfica have long since ditched their we don't travel well tag. Spartak won't be easy either - I reckon we might manage 4 points

Agree0 Disagree2

I agree with the lesser opposition, but surely even you can see a huge improvement in our away form, we played 3 good european teams in the Europa last year and did well in all 3 games.

A Rangers fan here, I have to say well done on getting to CL league stage. But I also have to say that for the Scottish representatives in CL to have a manager sporting the Irish tricolour is embarrassing. Don't remember yellow being part of Celtic's colours.

Really should show either Scotland's colours (that won't happen), or the club colours, green and white.

The pictures are going throughout Europe and beyond and people may consider that you are Irish not Scottish. At a time when our game is suffering, I know because of us, we need all the good publicity we can get, and this is not helping.

I have no doubt I will get numerous replies about cheating and stripping of titles and HMRC and Ticketus and dual contracts and all the rest but am genuinely trying to make a point.

I am not suggesting that you want to be Irish, only making a point. {Ed007's Note -Yellow isn't part of the Irish tricolour either.}

Believable2 Unbelievable12

What a troll, all you can comment on Lenny wearing a flag, newsflash for you he is Irish.Get back to the basement where you belong

Dannybhoy

Agree9 Disagree1

Should you not be more concerned about you big Communities Cup clash with the mighty Falkirk tonight than what NL wears?

Mikey Bhoy

Agree7 Disagree0

The tricolour is green for ireland, orange for the north and white for peace between the two. and you sir are one of the racists that hate the site of it, and everything irish..the pictures are going round the world.. so what ! i am part irish and proud of it , as i am scottish and proud of it. basically what i am saying is f*** off racist pri*k . shamrock

Agree11 Disagree2

The tricolour was on his collar,as he was wearing the black Celtic tracksuit.Macca

Agree7 Disagree0

At which point was Neil lennon sporting a tri colour??dunno the clown that posted this but shud check out the flag and also what it represents!the colours are GREEN WHITE and ORANGE the green represents catholic the orange represents Protestants and funnily enough the white in the middle represents PEACE!in my opinion I think that flag should be displayed at Ibrox aswell to remind that it disnae matter what religion you are we are all the same,it's sad that the moron that posted this is offended by a flag! What about previous players management singing derogat

Agree7 Disagree1

Would you ever just go and piss off somewhere. Your hatred for Lenny or anything Irish is shocking. I love Celtic because of its close ties with Ireland and Donegal. It maybe base in Glasgow but it's my team and I am so proud to see my country colours associated with such a great club. So crawl back down to D3. The longer you lot stay down there the better it is for society. Sorry ed he just got my blood boiling. Bigirishmac

Agree9 Disagree1

Ooooh Dannybhoy the pipes the...... sorry got distracted. What I meant was, oh dannybhoy you don't even know where your manager is from lol. Laptop loyal hard at work!

Gavla

Agree2 Disagree3

Oh no, what must the rest of Europe think of us? I have no doubt that Scottish football is a lot more embarresed by the numerous misdemenors[that youve listed] by your ex-club, then the colour of Celtics tracksuit coller.

Agree6 Disagree1

Eh shamrock north and south have never been at war mate, the flag means green for catholic orange for prodestant and white for peace between the two, there are catholics in the north an prodestants in the south lol,garlar07

Agree6 Disagree1

Shamrock don't let these trolls get to you mate they are not worth it . There club is a non-entity and they are all in love with everything Celtic there was even rumours they where at OUR champions league game last night in amongst the away support.

Hail hail

Marco1888

Agree5 Disagree0

To oridinal poster . should the swiss guard in the vatican, stop wearing orange and blue..get over colours ya t1t. shamrock

Agree5 Disagree0

The green whyte and orange are on the Celtic away top as part of our 125 year history celebrations. Remember Celtic was formed to help the Irish immigrants who were discriminated against in Glasgow so if you think it's bad to be greatful and apresiative of our roots then you are an idiot. I bet you had a bright orange rangers top back when they were alive.

Agree6 Disagree0

Watching the swiss guard marching is like an orange walk without the drugs and drink. shamrock

Agree3 Disagree0

Neil Lennon is from northern Ireland and proud of it and it doesn't bother him 2 wear the colours of the south cos he my friend is not bigoted unlike your stupid comment he only supports Celtic yet gets it in the neck from his own country's and idiot fans like you it's time 2 grow up support your team and stop all this old ancient bigotry once and for all for Christ sake it's 2012 not 1912
Cha67

Agree4 Disagree0

What about the Orange Rangers tops a few years back ya clown!

Joeshmo1888

Agree3 Disagree0

Op here, I didn't get the cheats rubbish I expected, perhaps because I made the point in the posting. What has pointing out that it looked like an Irish team and not a Scottish one got to do with racism or bigotry.. As usual the minute you mention Ireland suddenly I am a racist, and a bigot, what a narrow minded lot you are. The fact I am half Irish doesn't matter. You call me a racist , I suggest you take a good look in the mirror. It still looks like the tricolour whatever you say. {Ed007's Note - What do you mean 'it looked like an Irish team and not a Scottish one'? Are you saying you can tell someone's nationality by looking at them?}

Agree0 Disagree2

So in your way of thinking some people may think we are a team from Ivory Coast because of the design of our tracksuits? We are The Celtic Football Club....famous worldwide, everyone knows we're a Scottish club so nothing for you to get worried about wee man

Signing Del Piero would be absolutely amazing! The new Lubo. The influence he would have on the development of Hooper, Stokes, Watt and Forrest would be enormous!

TheBhoyLee

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Or he could be the new Freddie Ljungberg , he is 37 years old and not as fit as he used to be , we should be looking at young hungry up and coming talent ie Gary McKay-Steven , Johnny Russell , David Templeton not ageing superstars looking to top up their pensions .

Agree5 Disagree1

I think it would be grossly unfair to think Del Piero would only sign for us to top up his pension. If he wanted to do that he could sign for Sion or Sydney FC ($70k a week) and you cant tell me that clubs in Asia or America won't be looking at him.

The Daily Ranger is reporting that Sevco are pursuing a deal for David Templeton. I personally think it would be tragic for Scottish football to lose one of our best young talents to the lower divisions for 3 years. He's available, he's a talented winger and is a Celtic fan - what are we waiting for?

I would much rather take him than Chris Humphrey or spend a fortune on Del Piero for one season. We could do with genuine wing options. What do you think, is it a possibility?
CBP

Believable6 Unbelievable1

He's not a celtic fan comes from a family of supporters of the team once called rankers now sevco scotland {Ed007's Note - Templeton is a CFC fan. His dad was a Rangers fan hence his middle name. When his parents split up he went with his mum who's family are all CFC fans. It is well documented and the player himself has explained it hundreds of times.}

I always assumed he was a teddies fan because of his name, there's an article in the Scotsman today explaining how that came about. He is a hoops fan.

Dissapointed after hearing marc janko Has signed for trabzonspor for 2.4m euros! Right so we get 5-6m for ki and have just Banked 15m and the cf we,ve been Craving goes for that price
Unbelievable scoring record aswell And is a nightmare to handle
Don't get me wrong I can't wait for the draw And hope like every other Celtic fan That we get the big teams but we,re Gonny regret no signing anyone earlier Cheap panic buys will take place b4 Friday
Just like bangura(flop) last year Janko woulda been perfect for Hooper
but the fans deserve to see decent activity,
Quality CB is a must Not this young inexperienced sell on price Youngster ****e! Maybe henriksen yeah But experience at the back and a target man
Is there to see that this is what we neeed!

just want too say, what a turn around lennon has made building this squad over the last 18 months or so, it is now paying off, 50.000 plus chanting lennons name sent shivers down my spine, and i am sure he and the board will have the needed bodys in for fridays deadline, maybe a cheeky surprise in there too , cant wait for the draw

This is just the beginning.......

Will67

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I am so glad they were chanting lennons name cause he deserves all the credit for this team, he has changed the land scap of the club and brought us back on track and cemented it in the minds of the players what it is to be a Celtic player and shows the players that they can achieve great things here. Lennon has always been the right man for the job and he has grown so much in such little amount of time and is on well on his way of being once of the great managers at the club.
