Looks like Jellyfish is nearing the exit over at the Piggery...Source within the club says £0.5-1 million on top of the current bid and he will be Sold..No further players are to bought before the transfer deadline as they don't have the Money due to Ranker's tax case developing...and more money is being pursued by HMRC....Ouch!!

Oops sorry Ed007, just a silly thought I had, but you realise by asking pat NOT to go on, he will probably go on there now. But I think he would brighten up their site. Be honest also the wee man has never indulged in any stupid celts/gers stuff LOL Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I didn't mean it like that, I know he hasn't done that but if you have seen Gan/Ngiak on Utd, can you imagine him and Pat communicating??? We would need Jack Douglas to translate it!!!}

not so much a rumour but the board must
take some of the blame for Samaras 3 year
deal, most likely cost us 2m in wages all because
they didnt want him to walk away for nothin
unfortunately its easier to sign than sell these
days, lets hope the bhoys get at least one
more in (far to many rumours) and a few out - Swiss Tim {Ed007's Note - Maybe the board offered Samaras the contract without NLs consent??}

Pretending to support another team is extremely sad and juvenile.}

The Court of Arbitration for Sport look set to back Sion's claim that the transfer embargo Fifa ruled in June 09 that El Hadary broke his contract with Al-Ahly in January 2008 before joining Sion, and banned the Swiss side from trading players until after the 2009-10 season. The 5 Players that played for them this season where all signed after that, If that is the case, Sion don't have a case to answer ... From the Sunday paper report, the FIFA president said that it did not matter the outcome of the CAS verdict in their eyes they had breached the rules, , if that is the case then why are haven't they ruled the tie in Celtics favour ?

Celtic gave Samaras a new contract,they will need a crowbar to get rid of him,he will be lovein it,not even a regular in the team,he has a good contract,and he only needs to play against Rangers,still time to get rid of Loovens,Hooiveld,and maybe Pat McCourt.

Being in Europa would have given us a wee bit of barganing power over the next 24 hrs {Ed007's Note - I honestly don't know what happened, maybe needing time to arrange evidence etc. It is supposedly being heard later in the week, maybe UEFA are busy with the transfer window administration?}

right just me wishing here but celtic have investors that when combined equals at least £5billion in wealth. Now why cant each of them just put in a few of million at the start of the season and expect nothing in return, i mean thats what we do when buying season tickets and strips, a few million to them is like a few hundred to us working lass folks. If i had 1.5-2billion quid i would be like here you go celtic £100million- spend it wisely, keep money aside to cover wages and i dont want anything back- except a seat in directors box lol. {Ed007's Note - The club needs to meet the FFP rules when they come in, they can only spend money the club has made.}
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Guys who think like you don't go on to make millions or billions of pounds. Millionaires and Billionairers apply strict criteria to all decisions they make in business, and simply do not "give" money away. If they did, then they wouldn't have made the money in the first place.
Agree0
Disagree0
You'd think so. Obviously doesn't make huge business sense but for someone supposedly backing a club you'd hope they would do it at least as a one off.
For example, if I won say 10M in the lottery I'd offer money to Celtic to help fund a player (in exchange for seats if they insisted that it had to be a purchase). I'm sure there are millions more like me who'd put up a bit of money for whatever club they support just because they were lucky enough to be in a position such that they could. It would still leave say 9M if you gave 1M which is more than enough to live off of without working.
These billionaire owners are lucky people that are supposed to be right behind a club...a lot of them worked for their luck, if you can call it that, but then we all know there are a lot of hard workers who aren't billionaires. But them giving a couple of million is like us giving 20p to a homeless guy - next to nothing.

I think we will only sign a big striker if Jesus of Samaras leaves and time is short. I think a ball winning, experienced centre half is another priority,
We used to get a good few goals from corners etc in previous seasons.

First Post!
CELTIC are delighted to announce the signing of Mohamed Bangura, who has joined the club on a four-year deal.
The highly-rated striker was an impressive performer for AIK Stockholm last season, having moved to the club following a successful loan spell at another Swedish side, IFK Varnamo. And the 22-year-old has also been capped by Sierra Leone.
Speaking to the official Celtic website, manager Neil Lennon said: “We believe Mohamed is a player of real quality and someone who has the potential to make a big contribution to Celtic.
“He comes highly recommended by people in the Swedish game. We have had him watched for a year or so, and all the reports have been very positive, and I know Mohamed is excited about joining the club.
“He’s a young player and someone with great enthusiasm for Celtic and for the challenge ahead, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming him to the squad.”
And the player is thrilled to be joining Celtic. Speaking exclusively to the official Celtic website, Mohamed said: “I am delighted to be joining a club the size of Celtic.
“I’m flattered that someone like Henrik Larsson would recommend me. I know all about Henrik and what a great player he was for Celtic, and I’m looking forward to joining up with my new team-mates and working hard to do well at Celtic and help the club be successful.”

Rangers fan and i come in peace
I believe that both OF clubs have the wrong managers.
Both are tactically nieve and have proven this in europe. Who thinks we would be watching better football with the likes of Jansen and Advocaat in charge?

Interesting comments below about Commons. I'm so glad someone else is speaking about his fitness - he has ballooned over the summer, does anybody know why?
I'd hate to think after such a positive start after January the boy now thinks Scottish football is below him, and that he can can get by on 60/70%.

Morning Ed007, I posted last night that I had heard UEFA had not set a time or date for Sion hearing, and some said it was rubbish, now we hear we dont know when hearing will take place, and as I said last night, a written verdict must be given to Sion and then allow them 3 days to appeal. Group stages start on 15 September, I really feel some deal has already been done with UEFA and Sion, as they are Swiss based. Once again, feel UEFA will shaft us.
any thoughts Ed007? Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I know what you mean Tim but Platinis comments contradict that, it is getting cloudier and cloudier and should have been sorted one way or another by now.}

Will be glad when transfer window 'closes' as we seem to always desperately scramble about at the last minute signing guys we never heard of.
Used to be a manager had a list of players he thought would enhance the team and asked the board to follow it up.
Now with player power etc and greedy agents the transfer market is a 'lucky dip'- or not so lucky- in many cases.
At the end of last season we looked like a bit of fine tuning would make us a more successfull team?
But injuries apart, having players heads turned by speculation and a dead-line 4/5 weeks into your season must be a huge distraction that affects performances on the pitch. I'm sure you will have noticed the body language and 'form' of Celtic players who look like they'd rather be elsewhere?
Anyway in a couple of days we will no doubt see a few changes at Paradise and the weans will be scratching the names aff the back of the auld strip.
