Lucky enough to be at Paradise today. Wow, just wow! The fans were brilliant, the team was brilliant and Sevco were absolutely gash. We dominated them from start to finish and properly showed them up for the level they are at.
I was all for Boyata to get tae but I take it back and apologise to him if he plays like that until he goes, which he will. He was absolutely outstanding today as was Ajer up against the horrible bean pole and the angry buffalo. Both kept firmly in back pockets.
KT was top class again and Ntcham, Broony and Tommy were untouchable in midfield.
FrenchEddy was slightly off the boil but still caused problems.
Great performance all round.

A wonderful performance which shows us two things , we have a magnificent man manager in Brendan and we have a wonderful group of players who really do work for him . We didn't have the build up to the game we should have but Brendan and the bhoys did us proud . Boyata is like a new player in the past 3 games he has got better and better . Ntcham and Brown controlled the centre .
I also think that Lustig deserves praise, he has been criticised in the recent past but I thought today he was immense . Everyone of players played well and should have scored 4 or 5 more .
Collum cheated . In the early minutes he booked Brown when he didn't touch Lafferty and then Eduardo for no reason at all. I am convinced he absolutely cheated when Ajer was hauled to ground in penalty area and Collum was standing within 6 yds looking straight at it . He turned and ran as fast as he could . Rangers2012 were shoite, no better than other seasons, but they have developed the habit of clutching their ankle when they go down, even with no contact.

There's points when the camera pans to him where his face doesn't produce the same pish his mouth does. Watch it back and you see reality hitting him where it hurts and it looks awesome.

To a man today everyone of the bhoys were awesome and truly deserved to win by more.

All this nonsense about sevco stopping us and closing the gap is laughable.

Celtic schooled sevco today and the handful of zombies that were there would have seen it first hand.

Big Boyata looked very classy dealt with everything and Broony and Oly bossed the midfield.

Teirney CalMac and Jamesy Forrest we're top notch.

Looking forward to another season of dominance and the treble treble 🏆🏆🏆

I thought we played really well today. All the players rose to the challenge.
It's very noticeable that since Boyata has been back in the team the defence has looked a lot more stable. I can't in any way defend his antics, but I feel a lot more comfortable watching him play there rather than Hendry.
I'm not really keen on these International breaks, but hopefully we can use this one to take stock over what's happened in the last month or so. This performance today should really improve the mood at the club.

nickybhoy don't think mcgregor had a great game for us think he's been off the boil a bit. but we look more steady with boyata back in defence an would like to see him extend his contract. he proved the boo boys that he's our most dominating defender.

Rogic has played 126 games since the start of the 15/ 16 season. He might get the odd injury but that's a pretty decent number.

{Ed007's Note - Leigh Griffiths has scored more goals for us than Rogic has made league appearances over his 7 years at the Club. It's not the injuries but what's the cause of them, he averages about 54/55 mins per appearance and Sinclair has bee more productive.
I lay the blame for the lack of creativity even back to last season firmly at Rogic's feet, he's meant to be the main creator with a bit of spark but the majority of the time he gets the ball and shoots without looking around for a pass, Kris Commons started doing the same when his career and fitness were on a downward spiral - for me McGregor is far better suited to the ACM role in a Rodgers team, a wee buzzbomb pain in the arse nipping at heels of defenders, chasing the ball down and more of a team player. McGregor's decision making is also a lot beter than Rogic.
I know it seems that I'm bashing Rogic but he just frustrates me sssooo much, because we know he's got the ability and I expect so much more from him- what about Rogic taking a step back position wise and competing with Ntcham as a box to box midfielder rather than looking for him to orchestrate the attacks? Or would that come down to his fitness/engine again?
It's like Forrest, neither him or Rogic produce enough for me but when they do it's mostly in important games - but that's what scunners me with players like that, 90% of the time it's frustration.}

Esp against all the odds of Stevie Gs revolution, their 15 signings, spendind a fortune, all and sundry on sevco pages predicting an easy win from them and ofcourse our Timplosion lol.
Not only do they never learn they think they lost due to a minimal foul, ofcourse no mention of Mcgregor should have went and an automatic penalty.

It seems delusion is a permanent disease.

Great performance from the Bhoys today. I felt we carried on from our Second Half display on Thursday.
I know Boyata isn't everyone's cup of tea at the moment but he was immense today and he's really shored up the Defence in the last 3 games.
But I have to give Credit to all the Team today, everyone of them raised their game and the 3 points where never in doubt imo.
The fans where fantastic today and really got behide the Team. It would be great if we could replicate this against the smaller Teams and we can make Parkhead a fortress.
Everyone enjoy a Drink (non alcoholic included) tonight and go into work tomorrow with a BIG smile on your face and remember we "Just Can't Get Enough"🍀🍀.

Got to say today we stepped up to the challenge and absolutely put them in their place, to a man every single player played their part today but the one man indeed to single out is boyata, I've slated this guy for a week now and today he was absolutely immense, I'm not excusing what went on the past few weeks with him but today he was absolutely phenomenal.

A very good performance and the scoreline flattered them. Hit the woodwork three times and they should have been a man down fairly early. It was all us. A much needed shot in the arm. Not just for our team, but the muppets amongst our own support who actually consider them a threat. McGregor, Tierney, Ntcham and Boyata were the star performers for us today. We still lack that wee bit cutting edge but at least that should be a few persons back in their box for a while. Know your place.

Ill tell you what i make of it. CELTIC Better team by far. Better than I expected. 1-0 flatters Rangers. Brendan, i don't know what you do for a living, but I am an odds compiler. We have more statistics in front of us than you will ever get to see or understand. Calculation are initially based on how we see the result, then once we have priced it, the market changes only due to the amount of money placed, the odds are i itially built on an algorithm. There is however input from the compilers. We expected a Celtic win but by no more than 1 goal. My own view was a draw. So please don't start calling me out regarding a 1-0 win. I called it as a draw for a lot of reasons. You were calling it 3-1 or more. So let's not get to the who was right and who was wrong. Over the season it won't be you. If it is get your bets on.

Wee Jamesy gets a hard time from many, myself included some times. But the awareness and composure he showed to pick out Ntcham was tremendous. Could easy have tried to score himself.

New manager, new team, new boasts - same result, same dominace. Don't let the scoreline fool anybody. No doubt the hun-press will declare the gap is closing, but anyone watching that today can see we are still light years ahead of them and only luck, dodgy refereeing and a goalie that should have seen red early doors for a blatant kick saved them from another proper hiding.
Not one poor display in Hoops although Eddy was a bit 'rusty' but, KT, Olly, Broony, Ajer and Forrest were terrific and a wee mention for a player I called Judas last week and now have to hold hands my up and say Boyata has been making amends since his return to the side. Welcome back.

Boyata has knuckled down and showed a professionalism a wouldn't have given him credit for a few weeks ago . Thought boyata had a great game and credit where credit is due . Well played .

{Ed007's Note - That's three clean sheets in a row since Boyata came back into the team and I know two of them were 'only' against Accies and Suduva - I had predicted a 3-1 in both games because I wasn't confident of keeping a clean sheet against anyone - but you can't really ask for any more defensively from Boyata (and the other defenders of course) than keeping a clean sheet in any game.}

Does anyone think we should offer Boyata a pay rise with a new 2 year contract, on the understanding that he can go next Summer, if we get a £9 million offer again.

I agree with Ed on this one, everyone deserves a second chance and Boyata is showing he is deserving of that at the minute. With what BR says about him being a £10-15million CB if he were to sign a new contract and be committed i would have no problem with him being in the team as i think we may struggle to get anyone in with his experience with the recruitment problems we seem to be having at the moment. Since the WC he just looks more confident and composed.

{Ed007's Note - There was some rumours going about that Boyata was changing his agent which if true would make me wonder what part his agent played in the recent mess, especially after what Rodgers said he done just turning up at Lennoxtown.
Agents make a hell of a lot more money from a transfer than they do for negotiating a new contract.}

Today we either put them back in their silent dark place or we give them more food for the feeding frenzy. The "Noisy Neighbours" have had all the headlines, signings and publicity while we went about our business in a professional manner (not that there was a lot but we have had a couple of moments) .
I believe we will silence the Stevie G Roadshow but I don't think it will be the usual Hunskelping.
Let's hope for a good game of football and at a minimum - 3 points with 11 players staying o the park at full time. H. H.

This is a day when our players need to stand up and be counted. We have better players, regardless what the Sevconians claim. We need to fight too. Nothing less than a good win will do. Hype against better players seldom succeeds unless the better players bottle it.

We haven’t been firing, today is the day to set burners to scorch. Play the way we can and we will feckin hammer them. Let them believe their hype. We should laugh at it.
