Something tells me that Leigh griffiths will score 15 to 20 goals before the end if the season. Wasn't happy we signed him but he is proving a few of us wrong.

Hows he proving a few of us wrong? Stokes scored a hat trick the other week and what's he done since? Griffiths is not good enough and that's not going to prove me wrong

I honestly don't get all the negativity that's came with Griffiths signing. He's a proven goalscorer at Scottish level and he's pretty much nailed on for 20/25 goals a season. The only way anybody can deem him not good enough for Europe is after he's been given a chance. I've been sticking up for him in this site since he came but there seem to be a lot of our fans think they're whiter than white and want to write him off because of his personal antics in the past. Let's judge him on what he does in a Celtic shirt and if he blows it then you can all say you were right about him

I'd rather he signed a new deal tbh, you all know how much I like big Sammy, but if he won't sign a new deal or actually try when he is given the chance to play then for me he shouldn't be anywhere near the first team.

i was one who never wanted to see griffiths here also but since his debut I think its obvious to all he gives his all wheter it be chasing/pressurising the defence or making countless runs for a diagonal pass. the lad doesn't stand still and I thought by now he would of been involved in something negative but fair play to him he's kept his head down
also since he's came has anyone noticed a change in work rate in stokes? seems to be more interested in playing for the team now and not just himself
as for lg in europe. let's wait and see cause this year ronaldo would of struggled to score for us and I believe he griffiths will prove vital in pressuring teams into mistakes

Why bother. Sammy has shown his loyalty and just bbecause nobody wanted him (or offered the right deal) changes nothing. On his game, tremendous but just forgets to turn up for too many. If I was trying to breakthrough I would walk away when Sammy starts before me.

Too many with short memories, it was only a year ago he played his part in getting us to the CL Last 16, voted Celtic POTY and has scored 9 goals in 22 CL (qualifying and proper) matches the last two seasons. The fact he was talking not so long ago about how he'd rather be at Celtic playing football and winning medals than chasing game or money to then not turning up all season and refusing a new deal says to me that there's more than meets the eye!

Well he was consistent enough to beat the rest of the squad to picking up POYT in a season that Celtic won the SPL and Scottish Cup, got to the semi final's of the League Cup, reached the Last 16 of the Champions League, had a single player score over 30 goals and had a GK and striker called up to the England squad?

If he is as good as you say, how come he couldn't get game for english 3rd tier team? And how come nobody else was keen to sign him? Surely if he is as prolific a striker as you say, then clubs would of been battering down the gates of wolves? Just because he scored a hat-trick against an abysmal team does not mean he is going to be a saviour. The amount of chances he squandered, outweighed his 3 goals. Our closest team that can provide any glimmer of competition, he was nowhere to be seen (Aberdeen) Player of the year awards amount to nothing. How many players have won it and done nothing?

Samaras has never played for a 3rd tier English club. He's a LW, not a ST. He didn't score a hat trick against any abysmal mob. He was a late 2nd half sub against Aberdeen. Celtic's POTY award has been won by Balde, Lennon, Petrov, Naka, Broony, Keano, Izzy and Mulgrew in the past 10 years - I wouldn't say any of them are/were "nothing". I think you've got your wires crossed, this thread is about Sammy, not Griffiths.
