Was reading on another forum the irony of the RFFF being the guys who might finally put the last nail in Rangers coffin.

These guys funded the legal fees for the Court of Session action that is now going back to the Appellatte Tribunal, which could see Rangers suspended or expelled from the game.

Well done Sandy, Walter et al, your arrognace knows no bounds and is now coming back to haunt you.

Your a bundle of joy!! get a half decent draw and hit the ground running we have a fighting chance of getting to the group stage, the europa league experience last year would have helped the younger players who haven't played european football before, get a target man who hooper can play off and a experienced centre half we will fine. johnbhoy79

Agree3 Disagree0

It will be difficult but I have a confidence we will qualify this year.

The team is a bit more experienced from last season and we cannot underestimate what the team learned from the Europa Cup last season.

We should not fear anyone in the first qualifying game, and with 3 or 4 good signings, plus a favourable draw in the second qualifying game, I think we have a reasonable chance of making the group stages.

Difficult but certainly achievable.

K-Dot. {Ed007's Note - I have said it since it happened K-Dot, the way we were reinstated into Europe meant that our EL group was of CL quality, and we were not embarrassed in it.}

Agree3 Disagree1

I know this might sound a bit strange Ed - but to do so well, against what you quite rightly say were the equivelant of CL quality sides, might have done such a young side a favour in the long run. It will have left us hungry for success this season.

Lenny attributes the European games as being vital to winning the league last season , espicially an away game in Italy, a difficult, difficult place to play European football.

I'm really looking forward to this campaign.

Bring back the thunder.

K-Dot. {Ed007's Note - I can't see how it could have done them any harm mate. Look at Apoel Nicosia, look at Basel, even look at Chelsea? A solid well organised team will always be hard to beat. I was talking to Ed001 earlier on about the backroom going ons at LFC, I think if we could pull it off that one of the best signings NL could make this summer is getting Steve Clarke on the coaching staff. He is a fantastic coach, worked at 'big' clubs with big name players and their egos and is only 48, so it's not as if he would be an older 'father' figure to NL, AT or JH. He would bring a wealth of experience with him and look at his previous jobs. Just something I thought about.}

Agree1 Disagree1

I don't think we need Clarke.The coaching team have been doing their jobs well but i can see where you are coming from tho.I would like to see how they get on in Europe this year before another addition to the coaching team.Clarke on the other hand deserves a number 1 position at a club.

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - I don't think he wants the pressure of being the a boss JB, he seems like TB and prefers the coaching side of things rather than the ar$e licking managers need to do to the media etc. He must have turned down plenty of chances over the last few years I would think. Like I said, it was just an idea and nobody we have has his experience in Europe etc.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed - Great shout about Steve Clarke, he is a Celtic man also. I remember Celtic tried to sign him many years ago (although how much chance we had I don't know, but it was genuine).

That is a great shout Ed, could have as much of an impact as any player we sign.

K-Dot. {Ed007's Note - Cheers mate. It's my lucky night! I even seen a Rangers supporter praising me!!!! Btw the JH should have been JM lol.}

How could a cup ban be even seen as a sanction? Any team could have an off day and go out in round 1. Might as well be 2 mars bars and a bag of crisps. Bloody pointless!

Believable9 Unbelievable0

If they get a Scottish Cup ban there'll be parties in the streets...Rangers and their supporters will take it as a victory.

By definition, if it's taken in good grace such that they feel they get off with one, it isn't a sanction or punishment. As such the SFA and SPL must hand out something else.

Think Celtic are cutting back tbh, not going for same calibre of player from even Strachan's time.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

We've not went for anybody yet......DH

Agree6 Disagree0

Bull sheet son, strachan main threat was naka, we never had a left back for most o his time and after TB died the team went completely, least over past while our midfield has been decent, lacked in attack and defence, caldwell mcmanus etc? not good, lee naylor? not good. sno? list goes on - wgs spent fortunes on folk an never built on success he had, we never improved any under him, granted we won titles etc but never pulled away from the dross, folk blame that on not getting fletcher from hibs but again i dont see that,yes it woulda helped but not the answer, he wasted 3 years at celtic and plenty cash on the way - papering over the cracks winning league on way, spending wisely as lenny has done most of time seems to be going ok, all players that come in wont be major hits but mostly ok HH

Shona Baird

Agree3 Disagree4

Re. Shona Baird........

Forgive me if i am wrong, but did Gordon Strachan not win 3 league titles in a row, and guide us to the last 16 of champions league TWICE???

This is MORE than what Martin O'Neill was able to do , with a bigger check book, and even better players?

Agree8 Disagree5

Strachan was a top notch manager and never got and never will get the credit he deserves

Agree5 Disagree5

Know he's not best defender in world but Caldwell best centre half in last 5-6 yrs at parkhead, constantly left to cover for mc manus, wish he was still here, L1888

Agree3 Disagree8

Strachan was good but i feel this squad is streets ahead of his squad

boruc > forster

hinkle > matthews(for now)
mcmanus < rogne
caldwell < mulgrew
naylor

Agree2 Disagree1

You will find that Strachan spent more money than O'Neill.

K-Dot.

Agree3 Disagree4

Yeah yeah yeah whatever - strachan never once fooled me with his patter, failed down south with clubs he managed fact. i do agree he did well winning his titles but feel his success at celtic was more down to the late great Tommy Burns, WGS spent more cash than martin oneil fact, my point was did he build on any of his title wins? No is the answer there, poor man management lack of discipline in his squad, players talking to press all time, and do me a favour gary the heed caldwell the best centre half in 6 years? lol not a chance, thats how top notch a manager strachan is he still out a job after failing at boro again after spending fortunes, martin oneil had his faults too but at least he bought players and knew where and when to play them, Oh wait 3 titles on paper look great but when i actually sat through most of these games we were poor at the back and good in middle to front, as much as i liked holy goalie he took the pi55, put the beef on and his head seemed miles from being top keeper we knew we had at CP, Mcmanus found out down south Caldwell still thinks he's Rio Ferdinand going by his games at wigan over past 2 year,
i have seen enough and heard enough of gordon strachan to last my life time smart arsed wise cracking sometimes funny wee man, who deserves credit for his title wins BUT and notice the BIG BUT he spent millions and millions on guys who were never gonna be celtic players yet picked up gems like hartley robson etc. and again i sat home and away watching and listening to WGS tell us it was a great game for the neutral when we drew at tannadice or easter rd, and couldnt score as we had no ideas apart from his "we kept the ball well"

so i will keep watching this Celtic squad grow and get better i hope as we add the rite players to it, and i still think WGS flattered to deceive as our manager, o by the way its not because he not a celtic man/fan but because i seen his antics and heard his wisdom, give him scotland job thats his level

Shona Baird

Agree3 Disagree2

Shona, obviously not a Strachan fan but dont let that cloud the issue. I guess youve loved all the games under Neil yeah? the times he's told us how magnificant the team have played after a game, i've been there and wondered if id dreamed the dross id just watched. get over ureself n give the man respect he deserves on what was delivered under his charge. i was also a huge MON fan n remember the mess he left us in

Agree2 Disagree5

We the collective will never agree on all matters Celtic or WGS or martin or lenny all doing jobs to their own best, to me and i will say it again was Tommy Burns was the man behind celtics title wins etc while WGS was manager , just ma opinion tho eh,worthless i know, lets hope lenny keeps trying to get decent players in no doubt a few mistakes along the way as previous managers have done also, i remember mowbry slating mick mcmanus after a euro game one night and in return getting pelters for doing so, managers do often back their team when you think wtf game was he watching, so be it still dont like it.

Congrats to the new Mr and Mrs
Lafferty. Nice pictures in the papers
today.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

I wonder how she'll enjoy living in some English backwater?

Wonder if the rangers fans like the wedding pictures????????

Agree0 Disagree0

Only 1 teammate turned up (Clubfoot),do you think even they are pissed off with him?

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - Rangers refused to pay for an op that Lafferty needed supposedly, this led to his fall-out with McCoist and ban from the first team squad.}

Agree1 Disagree1

They didn't pay for his operation? Pretty shocking, even if it is for a dispicable runt like Lafferty.

However, surely his mates would've turned up? The fall out is a minor disagreement and it's his wedding. Maybe he's just not very well liked lol.

I was passing it off as just banter .......but was anyone else's alarm bells starting to ring when Norwich cheif exec came out and sa
id "that the club has made no approach for Celtic manager Neil Lennon as a potential replacement for Paul Lambert."

I don't know why but after hearing this I'm feeling nervous .

YNWA.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Why are you nervous.

Norwich are only responding to media speculation.
