With the talk of a future 50 / 50 split on gate money, where do we stand ?
Can we accept the new 50 / 50 split, but do a Real Madrid or Barcelona and negotiate our own TV contract and refuse to sign a new Sky contract.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

The only talk of a 50-50 split of gate money is between sevco watchers and trolls. you wouldnt be in One of those groups would you ?

Ed : is there no way of creating a App for the iphone this be a hit and save me getting caught in work checking the net haha {Ed001's Note - you should be able to look at the site on your web browser in the meantime. We are looking at getting all the sites turned into apps, but it is the expense of getting them created that is the problem.}

"It's getting quiet - let's start a riot" as my youngest says . Watched the EURO final in mixed company and when I suggested the following , peace wasshattered . SEVCO Scotland cannot meet the criteria to enter SFL at any level under current regulations and therefore must find a league outwith SFL to ply their trade-basically SPL or Juniors . If not SPL ,then they need to accrue three years audited accounts in order to comply with current regulations so that they can apply for a place in SFL. If they field a team next season , then it would be six years minimum before they grace the SPL withtheir presence in whatever guise they adopt . If it is to be SPL , watch other clubs en masse going down the Oldco route and clearing their debts with minimun (same)punishment. If it is decided to dispense with sporting integrity , then this will be a means for them to survive and be competitive-sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. I would doubt that SPL/SFL/SFA have the strength of character to impose the former so it looks like SPL with sanctions regardless of what the fans think or club chairmen say . Discuss.

"There were desperate to shout "NO" from the rooftops, to boost their season ticket sales, wouldn't want to upset their fans.

Fair enough, 3rd division for us, your fans wanted a no vote, they can now deal with the consequences; funny how reality is starting to dawn on the chairmen. Sporting integrity... don't make me laugh... They are desperate for league reconstruction to avert financial armageddon... Forget it, with great pleasure we will watch you die, from the 3rd division."

A belter from the dark side page. I wonder why they aren't getting the sympathy they deserve?

i posted on the dark side at 13:35 , now normally they come back and try to shoot you down. but in the five and a half hours since nothing.. i got 3 agrees and two disagrees but no argument. why because what i wrote , they have no argument and that pleases me, but at the same time i'm disappointed ,come on bears get back to your own site and try to argue any of my points.. shamrock

Shamrock I have noticed that less and less are posting each day, I think most have just given up... Timalloy

Maybe because these arguments are extremely repetative shamrock. It's the same arguments and questions every single day...it is rather boring. Perhaps if you read older comments on the page you will get the answers you are looking for before you ask you repeated questions.

....and, your post isn't the only one to not receive a reply on these rumour pages.

In the strange times we,as in Scottish Football, are passing through, the latest article by Jim Traynor really takes a bit of beating. As one of the leading lights in the "succulent lamb" posse of Murrays sycophantic reporters we have always known where his loyalty lies.Scottish football is being destroyed by a" lust to tear and shred one club through a century of hatred and probably jealousy" Jim,you and your paper are a big enough laughing stock, but this is a new low.Scottish football is in this mess because one of it,s biggest clubs are to be liquidated, and the Scottish media have tried to supply every horrific scenario for other clubs if they are ousted from the league. He then goes on to show his complete lack of understanding of the whole situation and shows his rangers bias. This is worryingly stupid," By demanding that RANGERS NEWCO be stripped of trophies and titles won in the EBT years by ANOTHER BUSINESS ENTIRELY they are prolonging and inflaming an agonisingly painful and damaging period" So,he has just claimed that rangers newco should not be stripped of trophies. How does that work Jim,they have no trophies, they have not kicked off in a game yet! He then tells us that it was another business that won these trophies during the EBT years, so obviously they are not rangers then? So why do you persist in calling them rangers? A blur of financial disaster scenarios are then put forward, but nothing about who has really caused all this, the team he wants rules bent for! The facts as i see it are this: Rangers are being liquidated,as a club they owe millions to over 250 creditors, ranging from a newsagent to the police and ambulance services. If,the use of EBT's are proved post liquidation, then games with unregistered players must be voided with a 3-0 in favour of the opposition.Thats the rules.Any honours won should be removed from the history books. That should then be that, rangers in that form have died. Greens sevco(thats all they can be called at the moment)should NOT be able to transfer the rangers SPL share. They should apply to the SFL for the new space that has opened up due to the demise of rangers. If clubs have to drastically trim their costs then so be it,forget the merchants of doom, there will still be a TV deal, still be sponsorship. The figures may be smaller, but income will be there.Sevco are not a special case and should not be treated as such. For me,Traynor,Keevins,Jackson,Guidi and the rest might be worried for their jobs more than scottish football.Lets be honest, they aint very good........green jhedi

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Read Alex Thomson for an unbiased view of the shenanigans involving the relationship between Sevco, the mainstream Scottish sports media and the football authorities in Scotland. The journalists mentioned by gj have lost all credibility and I no longer read any of their drivel.

Well put GJ,but the powers that be, have been bending over backwards, trying too make up the rules as they go along, also intimidate the sfl clubs,& are now squirming as the season starts(for spl clubs!) on 4th august& 1 week later for SFL teams,so they better unveil there sneaky masterplan for the newco entity! Also wee all knew the newco would not be playing in the spl,so why did mr greene not apply weeks ago for membership too the sfl?...As you said the newco should not be hit with any sanctions or penalties,as they are a completely new entity,But it will be great viewing when the autopsy of the toxic club will be investigated by BDO when liquidation begins,As all shysters & so called legends will be exposed as fagan types, who took millions yet sat back& watched there so called beloved institution die!stevo

Agree2 Disagree2

@Liah: The thing that really gets me is the constant refusal to accept rangers,as we knew them, are over.I dont even think it is certain they can use the name "rangers".As usual no reporter has asked this. When Woolworths closed i remember a group buying a store and they could not use the name "woolies",due to liquidation rules..........green jhedi

Agree2 Disagree2

Well said GJ.

The closer we get the the decisions on Sevco's future being made, the greater the hitting of the panic button is by Traynor and his mob of incompitents. Keevins was at it yesterday.

It's actually quite funny, because all football supporters know that they are taking a load of Craig Whyte.

This time, their ramblings are falling on deaf ears. It won't make the blindest bit of difference now.

And they are panicking, oh my God how they are panicking.

In fact I would go as far as to say Traynor and his chums are just making matters worse for Sevco.

The more Traylor et al continue writing this crap the more others teams and fans turn against them.

Keep up the good work Jimbo.

K-Dot.

GJ apparantly folk need to be told things seven times before it becomes ingrained in their minds and they are able to parrot their newly learned 'opinion' to other people.
Now i've not been counting but i wonder (well, i don't really..) how the scores would tally if Media outlets were checked to see how many times they have refered to 'Rangers' in the present tense compared to 'Sevco' or any other name for the new entity? I think we all have a rough idea.
So, we are up against it, and it's hella frustrating for we know more people read newspapers and watch the telly than read Alex Thomson, RTC, and other bloggers out there/here with critical faculties intact.
TRP.

Agree2 Disagree3

Not that I disagree with anything that above posters have said, I don't, but I am curious as to what your opinions would be if it was Celtic who were going thru the process of liquidation for the same reasons. Do you think that you would have lost the club vote to re apply the SPL ? Do you think that due to sporting integrity you would have even tried to re apply ? Serious questions guy's from a very humbled Sevco supporter

Agree0 Disagree1

@sevco supporter: If this was Celtic i can honestly say i would expect us to drop into the third division. The consequence of liquidation is expulsion from the SPL.Remember by rights sevco should have to apply to gain entry to the SFL........green jhedi

Agree1 Disagree0

Good Questions humbled supporter. If the same happened to Celtic I think the FANS would have taken the lead in forming a new club and applying to the 3rd. Your problem is that Shysters have taken the lead from day 1 and are still calling the shots. The sad thing is Brown is probably right about Green. But with friends like that......

would be delighted if all we bought was forster and a commanding centre-back.

theres no point spending big when there are plents of good young players that could make us a tidy profit in a few years (watt, fraser, mcgeogh, ibrahim etc). all these players done well in the NEXTGEN tournament so i dont see any reason for them not to be able to perform in the champions league with a couple of years experience.

If ever there was any evidence needed to prove what way that excuse for a reporter Traynor leaned towards is in today's rag.
I get a copy of this paper simply down to my job in the newstrade but will not buy it ever. CFC should take a stand against them and refuse to cooperate by giving interviews etc. We're the big club and by offering absolutely nothing then this excuse for a paper will soon realise by falling sales than action needed against their supposed unbiased sports tam

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I'm a Celtic man and I'm gonna admit something here that no one else seems to, I buy the papers! Just for something to read at lunchtime, I'm amazed at the amount of fellow fans who know exactly what traynor , Keevins etc write every day but never buy the paper, I'm first to admit both the major redtops have done us over lots and will probably continue to do so but spare me the " I found one on bus and had a wee look p@sh" L1888 {Ed007's Note - Read them online......

L1888, most of us read rags on online, at least they do not get our money.

Rumour I heard was that keevo "very senior inside man" was non other than a certain QC down Fife way. Oh well then an "impeccable, unbiased" source.
Also what I am enjoying is now they are trying to discredit RTC now, why jabba, keevo surely you cannot be afraid of these internet bampots? Timalloy

Given that i have been harboring the same thoughts and have them indellibly recorded on here for posterity,i for one am not the slightest bit surprised by the response to JT's article, having received similar repostes myself.

However it is slightly reassuring to see the chief sports editor of one of Scotland's long standing and best selling newspapers agree with my thought process.
It has always amused me to see RFC fans refer to the DR as the "Daily Rebel",and CFC fans equally perplexed, calling it the Daily Rangers.
Only in the West coast of Scotland lol.
Since the subject of debate raised by JT appears to have whipped CFC fans into a frenzy.
I would like to ask a simple question to those who have, and continue to vehemently contest the all too obvious logic that RFC won't be missed .

Exactly how will taking £16million out of the kitty not affect our game?

I would also like to relay JT's questions from his article onto this page,if allowed Ed?

"Is losing all credibility, standing in the game, SFA licence, SPL share and being treated with the utmost contempt not punishment enough?

No?

Then ask yourselves this:

Is going out of business, struggling to emerge as a newco without fan support and being banned from playing in Europe for three years and being branded pariahs not punishment enough?

I'd be interested in the replies.

Poyfect shout Ed. Think competition raising the price for Ciani will see attention focused elsewhere if the reported £2.5m is what his club are now gonna be looking for. I mean, if his desired replacement is available for £3m then we might as well go for him!

Evening all! I'm extremely happy about big Forster signing! We just signed a 5 million quid keeper for 2 million who's settled and getting better all the time! Its only the 1st of January and half our fans have been saying we would be better off with out him! Stats don't lie about the big man and I feel comfortable knowing having him between the sticks for a few years we can build a good defence to be an extremely difficult team to beat it the cl ! I also think we could do with out zaluska as a back up keeper! He's a constant howler risk I'd be just as comfy watching one of our youth keepers as back up

Brian

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I'm delighted we've signed the big man, standing beside that man is odd. You feel tiny. Once that young man settles down and realises how big Celtic are we'll have a great keeper for buttons. Another cracking find for the backstaff! Would that have been Park? The man knows his stuff. Any news on Hennrikson? (The young lad from Rosenborg).

Alright Bond, hope the foots healing?
