For the people who haven't seen the penalty kick and then save, more like 11 yards not 12. proof is there. Kenny Clark Hugh Dallas and the rest of the spec savers social ... Please try and defend that? Should be brought to the SFA attention and questioned!

if this was done in a lower league the ref would get hounded for it.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

I posted earlier Lenny i think it's a total joke. A player is cheating, an opposing player points this out to the ref, with conclusive proof IF HE WOULD JUST LOOK, but he ignores him and books him.And then while watching the penalty taker he still does not see the position of the ball! It seems he done a Collum and gave a penalty he did not see to add insult to injury. Jeeze, he must have been desperate to stick it to us.............green jhedi

Agree8 Disagree4

As long as the ball is touching the white line then its allowed

Agree2 Disagree6

Ball WAS on the spot.

Agree1 Disagree9

Goodness me......I watched the link. Disgraceful dive from the player and disgraceful behaviour by the referee.

ed , i hear from a very reliable source , i can not name him , so lets just call him 0039 . that there are two excellent young lads setting the heather on fire for some team in the scottish third division. . lewis macleod and barrie mckay . i've never seen them but apparently they are standouts every game against plumbers and joiners . do you think either is worth a punt at wait for it .... £1m .. shammy {Ed007's Note - I have no idea Shammy, I don't watch that level of league football, it is dire.}

Believable5 Unbelievable3

I have seen them three times while watching my godson, a wee ger, if his Mum and Dad are working.Decent prospects but after years of the coaching and facilities at The rangers they should be standing out against part time players. There is deffo ability there but next year will be a step up again. £1m? Even buying potential i would think no more than 300k but with add ons to reach the million............green jhedi

Agree1 Disagree3

Gj, i was takin the p1ss ..shammy

Agree2 Disagree0

They rave about these guys and they are playing nobody . also rave about templetim . i tried to point out earlier but never made it on . templetim scores just about a goal per game for them , with stenhousemuir and raith about a goal every 2.5 games , and in the spl a goal every 7+ games . hes not brilliant like they say he has just found his level.. shammy

Agree5 Disagree3

@ Shammy; I know mate but the funny thing is they are not! They actually think £1m would be the fee..........green jhedi

Agree1 Disagree1

You rave on about the young celtic squad with potential who struggled to beat arbroath over 180mins

@5. Ok the sfl div 3 is better than the cl. We give in.

Really hope Hooper and Wanyama sign new contracts, especially Hooper. We look toothless without him and he guarantees you 20+ goals each season. Don't think either of them will leave in the transfer window, but wouldn't be surprised to see Wanyama go in the Summer.

I was just listening to Stuart McCall's interview and to be fair he does compliment Celtic but why do Manager's go on about their 'young team', is the Celtic team full of players in their late 20's/early 30's...?

We have an 18yr old scoring against Barcelona, our goalkeeper is 24, Wanyama's 21, Matthews 20, Forrest 21 etc and we are not afraid to play players like McGeouch 19.

We have an excellent youth set-up with the team being invited to play in the Next Gen competition.

I just don't get why they can use 'we have a young team' as an excuse when its Celtic they are playing.

Incidentally, Stuart McCall also thinks they had a shout for 2 penalties. Thought the ref had a shocker now I've seen some of the game back but 3 points and excellent save from big Fraser...whit a guy :-)

Thats what happens when referees are part time.

Players are often 20years younger than a top rate spl, it shows eventually

Agree2 Disagree0

Reading all the posts everyone has it covered ref was a joke ! The spot for the spot kick was the one that got me the most !

First 10min were the best of the match some real class from Sami but the rest he was mince

Still 3 points

Phew we dug that out again i just knew the big man would save the pen.Murphy looked like a sniper had hit him for the pen.
Gally

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Was still a penalty regardless of how he hit the deck

Agree3 Disagree14

That was not a penalty the boy dived and should have been booked but the person ref. booked two of our players Forster was booked for saying the ball was not on the spot which it clearly wasn't. Celtic should complain about the standard of refereeing at this game

This ref is some piece of work.

Fraser is the man.

Melb Bhoy

Believable11 Unbelievable3

Disgrace all afternoon, gave us nothing. Steven McLean was his name. If you watch the penalty he has not given anything ans is looking away with the play when he hears a few players asking for a penalty and he all of a sudden turns back and points to penalty spot. Surely he needs to explain this, it was as bad as that wee turd Willie Colllm when he gave the penalty to the old Rangers with his back turned.........martyc1888

Agree12 Disagree3

Ah, the ref was Stevie McLean. The Stevie McLean, who's brother came through the ranks at Rangers, and chose to play for Northern Ireland. Not making things up. Not claiming conspiracy. Just a bit odd that he gave us nothing

Samson

Agree12 Disagree3

I thought all this stuff would be resigned to the dustbin with sevco playing in the third division but apparently not, booked for pointing out the ball was not on the spot...ridiculous , and some people call us paranoid , I certainly don't think so, more fighting for a level playing field , the smirk on his face told the story

Green Judge

Agree10 Disagree4

Good post Green Judge something has to be done surely this can't go unpunished
Rob

Agree8 Disagree3

Ref clearly needs remedial training. Needs more time in junior divisions.
More refs decisions being rescinded by SFA complaints committee than ever before.

Agree2 Disagree2

@5. No remedial training needed. Knew exactly what he was doing today. Will be 'rewarded' in time by his paymasters. Not bad refereeing just sad this still goes on in our game.

Agree2 Disagree2

I havent seen the decision so i will just have to take everyone's word for it. but you are all proving only an excuse right with the accuracy of there sketch.

celtic need to sort there problem out they cant score goals we need a few players in asap the perfomances are well below par week in week out this is not good enough already dropped 20pts this season even if we do manage to do enough to win the league the point and goal tally will be quite low we are not even top scorers

from sly spurts

Kilmarnock have pulled off 'quite a coup', according to manager Kenny Shiels, after signing Rabiu Ibrahim from Celtic on a free transfer. Ibrahim struggled to make an impact at Celtic and has signed a two-year contract at Kilmarnock after the Nigerian rejected an offer from Russia.

I thought it was only meant to be a loan deal

Samson

Believable2 Unbelievable0

What gets me is everyone said this young las has it all but doesn't look like he has the build for the spl, he's had a chance at Celtic and maybe it was just time up, IMO I think we have let this one go which will come back to bite us but we can't have it all ways

Lenny

Agree2 Disagree0

I posted a few months ago that after a chat with a celtic coach he told me that Ibrahim didnt have it and wasn't good enough for 1st team I remember all the disagrees looks like he was right. We all seemed to be of the opinion that he was what we needed all based on reputation. We must have faith in our coaches and management the've ben right up till now.

Kilmarnock have completed the signing of midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim from Celtic on a two-year contract.

The 21-year-old has decided to move to Rugby Park club in search of regular first-team football.

Ibrahim had other offers from Scottish Premier League clubs to go on loan, and the Nigerian also had the chance to move to Russia.

But the player, who has been included in Nigeria's preliminary squad for the Africa Cup of Nations, was persuaded to join the Ayrshire club by Killie boss Kenny Shiels.

Bit of a shocker, hoped to see him do well for us however its not going to be the case. Good luck rabiu, shame its killie
"He's signed a two-year deal with us, " said Shiels.

"I believe it's quite a coup for Kilmarnock and we are a good fit for him.

"Rabiu had an offer from a club in Russia but he and his advisors thought it would be better for his career development to stay in Scotland and they were equally as keen as we were for the deal to go through.

"We signed him on a free transfer. He's away with the Nigeria squad for the AfCon at the moment.

"I believe January 9 is the deadline for them to name their final squad. I would quite like him to be named in the squad for his confidence. If he is named then as soon as they go out of the competition he will join up with us."

Rabiu Ibrahim joins Kilmarnock on a free transfer. Two-year contract. I hope there's a clause in there that means Celtic can buy him back if he flourishes at Rugby Park. Can remember him being touted as Africa's answer to Messi.
