Not seen anything of today's games, however my mate who is a bluenose tells me 3 of the 4 pens today weren't penalties. If this is the case then it'll be interesting to see how the SPF/ SFA explain it.

We're all told anyone at any given time can make a mistake but 3 out of 4 pens for the same team in the same match? Cmon? Can anyone tell me the last time any team in any country were awarded 4 pens in the same game yet no one was sent off?

Just seen highlights of the Sevies game on youtube, first pen stonewaller, 2nd dive by Defoe, 3rd handball outside the box, never seen footage of 4th but seen reaction of St Mirren players which tells a story. Operation stop the Ten in full flow.

Garryc1977 interesting the only other team in Scotland to get 4 penalties in the one game was Rangers1872 .
What I would like to know what was different with Andrew Dallas to pluck him out of his training and development and fast track him not only to Grade 1 but to refereeing games involving Celtic &! Rangers with far less training and experience than his colleagues .

One of the guys mentioned earlier Crystal Palace got 4 penalties 30 years ago.
They missed 3 of them and Brighton the team they were playing got one man sent off. Brighton also scored from a spot kick in the same match.
I remember a couple of times when the old club won the title on the last game of the season. They were given there usual help from Scottish referees.
Twice they went away from home up at Dundee near the end of both seasons.
The first one they were struggling away to Dundee and they kept getting penalties until they scored from one, that day it was 3rd time lucky.
A few years later they were at Dundee Utd in a rearranged match 5 or 6 games to go and Collum (our ref today, god help us) decided to award them 3 penalties and also sent off 3 Utd players, something I have never seen before.
Just before they died they were also given 3 penalties against poor old St Mirren, how they must love going there.

Just noticed that St Mirren game in 2011/ 12 season when they got 3 penalties, it was Collum that was the referee that day.
So twice Collum has given them 3 penalties in the one game.
And also sending off 3 players for 3 penalties which is a first for me.
Maybe that’s the hidden agenda slippy g is referring too.
Hopefully he is not centre of attention today.

Whilst we are looking at biased refereeing and penalties I came across some stats.
In over 100 years of Scottish football old rangers and sevco combined have been awarded at least one penalty in every season but Celtic have went through a full season 6 times without getting a single spot kick.
In old firm matches before rangers died Celtic only received one penalty in 30 years against them. (1905 to 1935) that was in 1920.
No matter which club Celtic have played against at ibrokes over the years, we have received 50 percent fewer penalties than them in these matches.
Incredibly we have also received fewer penalties at Celtic park against them which seems odd when taking into account the domination we have enjoyed over these years.

This is going far beyond honest mistakes we need Refs in from other countries until we can have a complete overhaul and new supervision programme in place it's getting to be too much of a joke bad one at that the SFA have to understand it's not just one result that matters they are dealing with people's careers and all teams are affected with the terrible decisions that are going unpunished from people that are to incompetent for the task that they get paid really well for they don't get dropped to lower league games nothing just carry on being SO BAD.

There has been absolutely nothing done about 'Beaton-The-Cheatin' after the Ibrox jiggery pokery; so it's open season for the rest of the Sevconian Establishment to get away with virtually anything.
Some teams never get four penalties in a season, but hey-ho here we have a get one - get three free form the funny handshakers club.
It's pathetic, embarrassing and humiliating that this narrow minded country can condone such blatant biased and skullduggery of our game.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's been a month and STILL there's been nothing more about the made-up death threats to Beaton.....

Well played Ed; with the skullduggery 'substitution' ha ha Cheers mate.

Never watched it or checked the result, but going on what use are saying At is a joke. Them mistakes could cost the likes of Aberdeen and kilmarnock Europe. For us it’s the same sh! t different day. Would be gutted tho if I supported any of them looking to try get in Europe. Rest of Scotland has to stop up now or this will never end.

Question, when we are ravaged with injuries and have 3 trophies still to fight for is it not better to sign players we can actually use? Signing 3 that we loan back out is ok if u are Chelsea or Man City but we scrimp and scrape yet do this. Seems bizarre to me.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Feb 2019 00:17:20
So what players do u think we loaned out we would use this season . There are only so many attacking type players we can actually use .
The only position ravaged with injury is our centre defence . Loaning out a winger is hardly going to affect that.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Feb 2019 08:42:04
Old man Chris, that's my point and one made by BR. We don't need winger's, we need a RB and CB for the here and now. And not loanees. Why not strengthen where we need it and worry about other parts of the team in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Feb 2019 09:45:02
We now have 6 centre backs also bitton who can play there and 4 right backs at the club.

Ed i heard that relations between Celtic and hibs have got that bad that when hibs made an offer for Allen couple days before the window shut Celtic didn't even bother to reply. You heard anything like That?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Scott Allan made it clear he wouldn't be leaving in January unless Celtic paid up his contract and made him a free agent, his plan is to be free in the summer.}

02 Feb 2019 21:18:25
Is this bad relation between us and hibs a load of bs? Seems very petty is all. And doesn't do anyone any good.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - There's a bit of underlying animosity over the McGinn deal but at the end of the day Lawwell, Petrie and his non gender specific henchperson will do what's best for their clubs.}

02 Feb 2019 22:44:25
Good, Allan will do for the next 6 months what he’s done for us the best part of these last 4 years. absolutely heehaw, Hibs can just do one till the summer!

I saw pictures the other day that he’s had a rangers tattoo on his lower leg since he’s been with us. Should have just got rid of him as soon as he turned up for training with it. I appreciate he is a rangers fan but come on, not while you are getting paid by their rivals.

Has there ever been a team that's accrued the list of injuries we've experienced this season we've had kt, boyata at different times young ajer broken cheekbone lustig at various times rogic the same Ralston, sumo well its sumo, eddy in and out, griff and illness, out for season arzani and kouassi not forgetting benkovic latest injury ntcham a few times broony as well what the eff is happening at lennoxtown it's ridiculous or is it just really bad luck.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

02 Feb 2019 14:21:24
If most of the they injuries were the same injury to different players, like muscle pulls or tares then you could blame training but most of the big ones have happened on the field of play.

02 Feb 2019 14:36:58
Agree kev we've been really unlucky theres been 1 or 2 at training but it's some list.

It's been horrendous all season and not just wee knocks and miss a game here and there; we have virtually lost half a team for months at a time, but still we sit looking down on the rest and polish a trophy already in the cabinet. In many ways this will have been BR's best achievement if we do treble number three; considering the absences to valuable players that no other team in comparison could handle.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Feb 2019 15:21:07
It would be some achievement the treble treble considering the injuries. has it ever been done.

We have been as unlucky with injuries as Rangers have been lucky with penalty awards.

You have jinxed it now. Toljan, Burke, Weah and Bayo will be on the sidelines with Tom sicknote Rogic.

02 Feb 2019 12:29:16
Who do we reckon will make Europa league out of 4 new faces? On current status probably imo Burke, Toljan and Weah as Bayo not featured at all and needs to get his fitness up according to BR.

Yea definitely Kev as he can play LB also, Certainly domestically against Valencia I'm not sure though. In most of our European matches this season Lustig has definitely been the weak link.

Royjac less of a weak link the izzy.

02 Feb 2019 11:09:28
You could be right there mate, Although when I think of the amount of goals Lustig has been at fault for in Europe this season. Perhaps 5 or 6 it does give me the fear with him in these games haha.

I've thought Emilio's been one of the better players in the games he's featured in in January--don't see why folks are on his back. Brings out the best in Sinky, too.

02 Feb 2019 11:31:00
Wee Izzy has done his job ok against lesser teams but play folk in their natural positions as we all saw how the cal Mac experiment went? Looking forward to the next few weeks some big games coming up see how the young legs do against the old heads. mon the hoops! 🙂🍀.

Agree0 Disagree1

02 Feb 2019 12:42:08
Totally agree with bigp; I love Izzy and he is excellent going forward and has linked well with Sinky and maybe helped his game too?
However, when he is asked to defend against pace and skill, he can be careless and rash in the tackle.

Agree0 Disagree1

02 Feb 2019 14:23:56
Sinky definitely plays better with Izzy. When it's Tierney he has to cut inside to give room for the wee man to over lap every attack. Kills his space.

02 Feb 2019 14:45:24
Let's see him play before deciding who he is or isn't better than.

Good morning everyone

I just read an article from BR explaining the difficulty the club have had trying to bring in a RB of the quality required, I think the club have done fantastically well to bring this guy in. Let's hope he can be a real gem, it's a real shame KT is out just now because the thought of these 2 bombing down the flanks with the attacking threat we have at the moment is for me really exciting. Can't wait for the Valencia match under the lights, I think they are a team who could really be there for the taking if we can get right in about them from the start.

As for Sunday up in Perth, will be a tough match I reckon and a 1-0 would do me any day of the week 👍 🍀💚 HH.

People have to understand that just because Celtic want a player doesn't mean Celtic will automatically get said player. If we make an offer and said player's club rejects it because they don't want to sell then that's that we have to look elsewhere. It doesn't mean the board are not trying to sign players.

02 Feb 2019 10:09:58
We do read a lot of stuff from guy's on here that think exactly that though Malky, at the start of the season I was saying that I thought the board and big Peter were doing a fantastic job running the club and was being called a board sympathizer and a spy lol.

Think the frustrations most have; well me anyway, is that surely most work should be done long before a window opens. Do we not make tentative enquiries of identified targets to get any indications of whether we are wasting our time or what’s realistically worth pursuing? Don’t remember the last time someone of note signed on the opening day.
I always have this weird vision of our scouts being locked in a dark room and only being allowed out the second the transfer window opens, then running around like mad things. I do realise it’s not that simple but we always seem to have a rather protracted approach to these windows. And as highlighted by many, we potentially have to do it all again in the summer while trying to negotiate CL qualifying.
Like everyone else on here, just want us to be best we can be and last summer proved costly to very average opposition.
