Seen PSG got beat off strasbourg today,16th in the league! Nobody can doubt the class of these teams but just proves if u set up properly you can shock these teams! If we drew Strasbourg in the EL if they were in it, don’t think any of us would fear them! Just thinking out loud lads lol. still think we could do so much better despite the financial gap between us and the elite! We haven’t done ourselves justice in these games IMO!

been waiting for that from someone. just puts our undefeated run into perspective about how impressive it is for us to go 67 hh.

We drew with Motherwell during the week smashed them today sometimes one off results happen.

There is no doubt the manager and players are still hurting from the heavy defeats and will do everything in their power to improve and learn lessons, however I really believe that fear and nerves are our biggest enemy on these nights and a wee run in the EL might go a long way to building confidence and experience for future CL campaigns.
At present we are streets ahead domestically - and our domestic league is well behind France and similar standards, therefor the transformation to Europe's premier tournament is currently a bridge too far and we need regular European competition (and a wee bit more investment) to try and compete at the higher level.
Beating Anderlecht will go some way to achieving this IMO.

Well thought I’d be the first to say it WB! Absolutely nothing to do with our unbeaten domestic run or what a magnificent achievement it is! I’m pointing the result out to highlight that these teams can be frustrated and you can nick a result if u set up in the right way! There’s a good few examples of it this season already across Europe!

wasnt a dig mate the way we are so behind in europe is no surprise and shocks can happen (barca) my point was to emphasise it doesn't matter how ggood you are, going so long undefeated domestically is a great achievement in any league hh bud.

I get you welsbhoy it's a lot of luck and hard work required and in Europe we haven't had the luck exept anderlecht away 3 goals out 4 on target or something like that I think each game we have been better to watch just silly errors costing to our down fall big game during the week to see how good we can handle the pressure.

Think the main ptoz for psg is the Champions league.

03 Dec 2017 14:40:20
If Ntchams shot had scored it would have been two nothing, and then maybe PSG would have collapsed, and maybe we would have beat them 7-0,as Clough said, "it's a funny old game ".

Maybe the undefeated run is not as important as getting a good result on Tuesday,

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Dec 2017 14:42:31
We shouldn't get hung up on going undefeated, is meaningless in the long run if the team aren't progressing, the standard has to be Europe or the world, like it was for the Lisbon lions, they were the equals of anyone on the planet, to get beat by that much by PsG, something is going wrong.

I will say it again, PSG are not that good, Celtic made them look good, how many times was possession given away in dangerous positions needlessly, that resulted in goals, that wasn't about how good PSG were, it was to do with how careless and unprofessional and how not switched on enough Celtic were, but hey is ok we can come back to Scotland and the unbeaten run goes on.

am not saying that is a bad thing, but we should concentrate on giving PSG a smack rather than worrying about Motherwell, and another thing the Motherwell manager must be commended on the way he has changed Motherwells fortunes this season, but after last weekend, he should take a leaf out of Arsene Wenger's book, and when asked about something he should just say he never seen anything, rather than saying that Kipre never even touched Sinclair, which when he watched the replay must have made him feel like a pillock.

Lh86 i agree we could do better in europe or at least not get smashed by 7 goals. Issue is BR won't change his style. Its that style that has kept us undefeated in SPL so maybe we need to accept it. Like you however i can't see why we can't play one style for CL and another at home. Is that not what tactics is about? Tuesday is going to be interesting.

If we go out and play our usual style and get beat by 2, 3 or even worse 4 then i do think our style in Europe will need to change. Will do a lot of damage to BR. Its a big night for BR. Win on Tuesday and BR can put 2 fingers up to everyone who criticises his euro tactics and that includes you and me.

Lol, lose by 2 or more and that tells its own story which is we are tactically inept in any competition outside of SPL and that gives more ammo to all those that criticise the 67 unbeaten run. Big night Tuesday.

67. What a poignant number for us. I'm looking at the world record now! Great times lie ahead for this team. Another good result on Tuesday could give us a run in the EL or at the very very least, one last money spinning tie against a good European team.

Didn't see game today or catch chat but score line suggests it was a wee bit comfy. Onto Tuesday and hopefully further in Europe. While I'll take any result that gets us through, would be lovely to do it in style! Beyond that we have excitement of a window where hopefully we may get some nice additions (perhaps bankrolled by a VVD windfall). And before that we end the year with the tribute act coming to Celtic Park, can't see us dropping points there😂😂😂😂😂😂. As many have said before, it is a great time to be a Celtic supporter. 😎.

Thought Ajer was a breath of fresh air tonight, stepping out of defence into space instead of passing back and sideways.

Said before mate it totally baffles me that bitton can get put in at centre half before big Ajer! The boys definitely got something about him and I’d love to see him get more game time!

I have to say I have been greatly excited by Bitton's performances in the middle of our defence and anywhere else that Brendan has asked him to play .
Bitton can't be too bad because Brendan Rodgers who knows more about football than you and me also rates Bitton or he wouldn't pick him .

I really like Ajer and hope he gets more opportunities in the second half of the season, he is a young lad who is still learning . I expect him to have a brilliant career .

Driving home from match and I made the mistake of tuning into snyde radio.
According to keevins and BFDJ, Motherwell "ran out of steam" as "Celtic were able to bring in 6 fresh players against a tired fir park team" No mention of course that Motherwell made 3 changes themselves, or that Celtic were simply too good for them.
Their pain came out of the radio as we made it 67 games unbeaten. HH.

Without getting too carried away I think James Forrest must be one of the front runners for club player of the year. The bhoys responded well to the competition from Paddy, scored big goals (CLQ . cup finals) and overall team play has been impressive. What do the bhoys on here think? ☘.

Believable9 Unbelievable0

02 Dec 2017 17:59:01
Think he's always scored big goal but the last 2 seasons he has added consistency to his game. He has also stayed relatively injury free and that has helped.
Like you have said definitely in running and if I was to choose one now he'd be my player of the year.

Florist has been exceptional under Rodgers aided by the Paddy challenge but there wasn't a failure in that team today and thought we were first class and showed the spark we've lacked for a wee while. Young French boy up front was outstanding his hat trick apart and must have staked a claim to start against Anderlecht. I also thought KT and Brown were excellent today. If I've a negative comment I still think Boyata is a rich mans Ambrose. ☘️.

Guys, we all talk about how BR has changed the team since he came in but one of his greatest successes is definitely James Forrest. The lad has been excellent and is now developing into the talent he was described as when he first broke into the first team. lol HH.

Good victory with a good display today.
Manager got it spot on with selection tactics and subs.
Good performance from all the fringe players especially Edouard. Bhoy looks raw but talented.

3 different headlines today saying Celtic battle rangers for a player.
When are these idiots going to learn if Celtic want the player there is no battle with rangers.

Hoping for a proper humbling of Well today, victory by a healthy margin to set us up for Tuesday. That said how upset would I be if there was an upset? No one ever wants to see their team beat but think what the joy of our detractors would be compared with our own disappointment? If we lose today we can pick ourselves up and hopefully secure a continued run on Tuesday. Now, if we mess that up my disappointment will be huge but it will still be eclipsed by the media/ other opponents sheer joy. Us not making Europe would be terrible for Scottish football but would make their Christmases! Mass celebration about another teams failure rather than being able to cheer their own success. That's pathetic. On a positive note, intae them today and a 5 nil battering! Hail Hail!

I reckon it's going to be another boot-fest from the 'moutherwell' but we are overdue turning all the possession and chances into goals, especially from midfield where, Sinclair, Rogic, Armstrong and McGregor are short of a goal or two - as is Griff, who could take full advantage of a wee run in the side and run riot.
Would love to give this mob a pasting to end the whining and greetin.
As for the unbeaten run - I would have no complaints - if we had to lose - it should be at Easter Road on the tenth by 7-6 and big Efe scoring the winner. The Sevco Scribes would choke on that.
