Brendan it looks amazing but I just can't see how we'll ever use them. They look a bit of a safety concern to me. Imagine your bursting for the toilet or your late to your seat, how could u get up n down stairs when it's pitch black one second then bright the next.

Tom Rogic snatched a post it note (from the Aberdeen bench) from Graeme Shinnie today, passed it to Scott Brown who ran across the pitch and handed it straight to Brendan Rodgers. McInnes was raging.

Ed007 one of the other eds had put up a few boxing profiles/ stories a couple months back. Do you know if they are doing any more?
I really enjoyed them
Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - yes mate I will be. Am in the middle of researching Thomas Hearns at the moment for the next one.}

On the subject of boxing, I watched The Hurricane the other night about Rubin Carter. Excellent movie. I only had ever heard the Bob Dylan song about it.

Good to hear Grace being played over the tannoy today just a pity it was Rod Stewart's version totally murdering it.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

29 Sep 2018 20:58:44
Why would they play that version, your right he ruins it for me, stick to your pop p! sh rod.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Sep 2018 21:31:35
Stevie the BBC refused to let him sing it last night I was at the game too and reckon that’s why Celtic played it over the tannoy my friend and fair play to them. It’s not the best version I agree but when asked where he heard it he did tell the story about hearing us singing it first then going to the chapel in Kilmainham Jail. So nice one Rod. 👍☘️.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Sep 2018 22:11:59
Thought he murdered it. Sir rod Stewart bows for the queen. Then sings song about fighting her troops. Confused man.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've said it before, I can't stand Rod Stewart, he's an attention seeking twit and his music's pish - he's up there competing with Billy Connolly as the biggest 'celebrity' fud supporter. Stewart's concerts etc are just filled by people who like him simply because he's a Celtic supporter and that seems to be a good enough reason to assault your ear drums with that terrible voice.
A wise man once told me to never trust a Celtic fan that's worn a Rangers top and never date the type of woman that goes to Rod Stewart concerts!}

29 Sep 2018 22:39:07
I liked his stuff fae the faces and around that time but he's not done anything good in more than 30 years.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Didn't he move the LA a few years ago? That's got to be a good thing imo.}

30 Sep 2018 00:37:39
Had a home in L. A for years ed. Got a full size football pitch with a mini stand round it. Big Celtic badge in centre circle.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - But does he believe in the Republican Movement..... or just sell records/tickets to menopausal women whose men support Celtic?
Any friend of Cliff 'Aunt Kitty' Richard is worth the watching.....

30 Sep 2018 02:38:37
I’m not rods biggest fan his musics pure pish! but he’s a Celtic man and that’s good enough for me, bringing his kids up Celtic and goes to the games so who gives a **** if he supports the republican movement he's Celtic daft that’s all that matters 😂😜.

{Ed007's Note - I think the joke's went over Rogic's head lol

Near the bottom of this: https://goo.gl/BuzStK

".... there were, with Rod Stewart and Phil Collins and all those Thatcherites."

Born in London, moved abroad for 40 years to avoid tax, forelock-tugging to the Royals and getting a knighthood not to mention fancying a jump at Teresa May?
Definitely a Tory and well worth the watching.}

30 Sep 2018 16:53:35
I think u might be right there ed.

{Ed007's Note - From last year:

"This is Rod Stewart here and I shall be coming to Tel Aviv on June 14, playing at Ha-Yarkon Park, so don’t miss it, it’s going to be a splendid night of fantastic music where you’ll hear everything you want to hear. June 14, Tel Aviv. Don’t miss it."

Never got to see the game or even join in the live chat as I had a 'family' gathering.
However, I am so delighted we won as when Sinclair's goal came up on the BT sport printer it completely clamped the Sevco contingent who, up til then had spouted some amount of shegite about how 'Boydy' is in the know and how Celtic are in complete meltdown - not to mention, they lipread Broony telling Beaton to 'effin send Boyata off' on Wednesday, as he apparently hates him.?
I made myself busy playing with the grandweans - and getting more sense, while they pontificated and sniped in fluent sevconian.
Until interrupted by my cheer as the goal was confirmed.
Then there was silence, sickly-sweet silence. Just can't wait to beat that mob again - if ionly for the peace and quiet lol.

Law 12
Any player who lunges at an opponent from the front, side or behind in a reckless or dangerous manner with one or both feet is GUILTY OF SERIOUS FOUL PLAY
Come on Brendan, it is time we took these cheating barstewards to task, at the very least ask the senior referee in charge of all referees to explain these decisions.
It is at these times we sadly miss Paul McBride QC who would have taken the SFA to task.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

29 Sep 2018 20:53:07
I know BR is not the argumentative type with media or officials, but we really do lack a voice or a 'champion' in these circumstances.
Not for a very long time have we had such a long a list of so-called officials, that we expect there to be major incidents every week.
The 'honest mistakes' and blind-eyes are always there; but the bad tackles and assaults have been allowed to go unpunished for far too long and we really need to make a stand as there is blatant cheating going on and plenty of TV evidence to prove it.

I am not a fan of Gordon but he had a great game today.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Sep 2018 18:16:00
Kev Gordon had a great save near the end of the game and Boyata was deservedly MOTM. KTs two tackles in injury time where he took the ball and the man were outstanding we need more dig like that.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Sep 2018 21:56:22
We won again despite the bias Officals . Madden and his Tory assistant both hate Celtic and both get away with desperate anti Celtic decisions as they know they are doing what the officers of the SPFL and SFA want them to do . The stop 10 in a row is in full flight this season.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Sep 2018 22:18:59
I’d agree totally with the above comments, he also made a great save in the first half where he tipped it around the corner. Also tierneys two tackles were great and he got a congrats of the skipper after the one on the Aberdeen captain. First half I thought we were pedestrian again Andy I don’t think it’s any surprise our goal came during a period where we were hassling them and hunting them down. Great result as we have put ourselves under a bit of pressure in the league, but we should be doing things so much more quicker ( free kicks throw ins as all the teams bed in against us leaving us less space. But still a big ein.

Brendan knows his football, at least his reputation before he came here and his first couple of years here would indicate that.
If we accept that, then surely why all this nonsense se from time to time about Gordon and Hendry being such hopeless footballers .
Ok J H may not be the finished article but he is young enough to have nearly 10 yrs as a top Celtic centre half . He needs coaching from Brendan and his coaches and he needs encouragement from us supporters .
Gordan is a first class shot stopper and we are lucky to have him . His distribution may not match some of the youngsters at other clubs, but he is first class at stopping the ball. These are the reasons Rodgers plays these players, it's for the good of the club, not because they are his pets.

29 Sep 2018 17:06:15
I called it earlier in the week that I'd happily take two hard fought 1-0 wins. I'm not overly confident about Thursday but the performances second half Wednesday and today have been much better. Special mention for Hendry who looked solid today.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

29 Sep 2018 17:35:18
That's all we have done the last 6 games from rangers on 4 games 1-0 the other 0-0 and 2-1 Kilmarnock, 5 goals in 6 games, since aek 12 games 9 of which we have only scored one goal in, that is a worrying stats but we are in a better situation than the stats would lead you to believe so that's a plus but I'll be adding more 1-0 bets for a celtic win second half goals at that every cloud. Hail hail.

29 Sep 2018 21:58:18
Good clear- cut chances are now being created so I think we will soon start scoring

At least he has killed off the thoughts of the small minority of our fans who think that referees are not biased in Scotland .
I particularly thought it was distasteful of Madden and his assistant, the Tory MP walking off smiling and laughing as if they were without a care in the world.

Good win for us and much needed before the break.

Boyata was incredible and Hendry had a good game too. Cheeky goal from Sinclair, hope that gives him a wee confidence boost.

As expected, embarrassing refereeing performance.

Gonna take a while to get back to our best but I’m happy with nicking 1-0 wins until then.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

29 Sep 2018 22:05:22
Good to see Hendry playing a lot better today . I think if we get centre backs fit soon Hendry will be a good asset playing the odd game for us while BR improves him.

have a look at the tackle on edouard that wasn't even a foul!

Dreadful challenge how it's not given I don't know VAR is needed.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Sep 2018 16:02:58
What’s that tackle got to do with Boyata’s red card? You can pretend he was “exploding about what our players are taking” all you want but he was moaning about a soft foul in the 91st minute of a game we were just about to win. He was out of order.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Sep 2018 16:26:21
Kev this is happening week in week out. Has been for ages. It's it any wonder our players are starting to get frustrated?
I am surprised it's took that long for one to snap.

It's about time the club done something.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Sep 2018 17:25:27
We are lucky the authorities allow us to play in Scotland, but it is no surprise no matter how much Beaton and Madden and the rest of the Scottish refs cheat us there will always be a few strange fans who will give them a licence to continue cheating us . All the refs have to do is go on Celtic forums and they will find some who think the refs are ok . This, plus the fact that they arn't criticised by the authorities of SfA and SPF L gave the cheats the confidence to carry on.

Been working away for a few days so this might be old news but I see the media are still trying to move BR on which they have done since arriving although his response was very refreshing. (Quote) 'With China it's big money, but I've found happiness here, " Rodgers said. "I spoke with the owners and the board and we found an agreement and moved on. "I've had other opportunities but I'm very much here and unless the club get fed up with me or something else happens I'm very privileged to be here. " Just like they tried to unsettle and sell the Moose from day one. Their anti-Celtic bias knows absolutely no bounds. Looking forward to my trip to the Holy Ground today to cheer on the famous Glasgow Celtic under a manager who'll go down in our history and I will be ignoring all the establishments negative propaganda and enjoying ma pie. Do our talking on the park Celtic. Get right in about McInnes and his sheep today. Glasgow's Green and White and it's killing them. ☘️.

It has always been like that as far back as I can remember - although Big Jock was more than game for them and often put them in their place - and then some.
MON was often linked with other clubs as a distraction, while Davie Hay, Liam Brady, Vengloss, Barnes, Dalglish and Deila were all given absolutely no respect or tolerance and were even ridiculed.

Neil Lennon had maybe the worst period of excessive, malicious and thinly veiled bigotry of any recent manager and now it's the turn of BR to be the target of rumour, fake news and wild speculation in the hope that they will wear him down.
Theyre hurting, jealous and desperate to aid TRIFC2012 in any way.
