Hi ed 007 this one is more for you not Celtic related but we know you also support man Utd do you think that moyes was the right man as new manager I know its early yet but already the man Utd fans ain't to thrilled with him, personally I thought it would be either Laurent blanc or the Dortmund manager who would get the job just wondering what you thought.
Dhman {Ed007's Note - I said as soon as Moyes was appointed that Man Utd would struggle to qualify for the CL in 2/3 years time and if anything it might even be sooner than that. I did think Blanc was the favourite as he had enrolled in a course to improve his English speaking, but Klopp from Dortmund would have been my ideal choice, closely followed by Marcelo Bielsa whom I think is one of the most under-rated managers in football.}

All my in-laws are Manchester United fans so i've had this debate with them recently. In fairness they seemed happy enough with the appointment which I found strange.

As far as i'm concerned in football there are winners, journeymen and losers. Sadly, Moyes is not a winner. in nearly 20 years of management he has won sfa. All this nonsense of finishing 5th/6th/7th in a league is an achievement is b*ll*cks, that's a failure as far as i'm concerned.

I know he was once a celtic man but facts are facts, it was an outrageous appointment by a club the size of man utd. I wouldn't be sure about him managing us - and tbh I think he'll be our next manager, he won't last 2 years at man utd, will sit unemployed for a year then take over from Lenny after he goes to someone like newcastle.

Got to say I totally agree with ed regarding Marcelo Bielsa very under rated manager why Bilbao let him leave is beyond me. I also believe it was Pep Guardiola who say that Bielsa was the best manager in the world. Davie C

Once again RIFC have dragged the name of Scotland through the mud with a horrible display of jingoistic sectarianism at the Lance Armstrong Arena. How are these displays even allowed in a multi-cultural society and country that Scotland is supposed to be, especially when the Army brass condemned their hijacking of Remembrance Day as "inappropriate". Hopefully someone will be accountable for yesterday's embarrassing show, a country's serving forces should not be allowed to take part in sectarian sing-songs or be allowed to be used to pander to the dregs of society in their stands. It seems the new club are trying to claim Rangers title as Scotland's Shame as well as their Lance Armstrong years worth of trophies.

Totally agree! Great post! HH!

I wasn't at Ibrox on Saturday so never seen it.

They do seem to turn Remembrance Day into something of a circus which is a bit crass considering it is more commonly marked throughout the commonwealth with silence.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seen videos of what went on at Mordor. Also seen a picture of a group of young squaddies holding a "Keep Ulster Protestant" scarf. Any member of HM Forces found to be involved in Saturday's hatefest needs to be suspended indefinetely pending a Government or Home Secretary's enquiry. Disgusting scenes from those who are supposed to be impartial, open to all and protect this country.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was reported some members joined in a sectarian song fest, "joined in" is a sectarian song fest alright still at ibrox

Just seen footage on 6pm TV news. I'm stunned by the anarchy and total abandonment of discipline and decorum by uniformed soldiers from the royal regiment of Scotland, clearly their officers lost all control of them.
Any senior officer who approves of serving soldiers attending Ibroken in uniform has taken leave of his good judgement. It's extremely insensitive at least and thoroughly partisan and inappropriate. Keep all military connotations out of sport.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sally didn't see or hear anything. But will return to dropping verbal grenades as per normal service.

Agree0 Disagree0

What I'd like to know is if the Bigotdome is a sell-out every week where did they find seats for the uniform disgracers and did they pay for the tickets? Wouldn't the armed forces be better served if ToxicFC had paid their taxes rather than allow themselves be wheeled out like performing seals to keep the knuckle-dragging element happy? If it was that important to them surely there wouldn't be a shortage of soldiers as they would all be down signing-up to join.

Agree0 Disagree0

Soldiers shouldn't be anywhere near SEVCO or ibroke it's ill judged and just very wrong. I would imagine it's the most divisive and morale busting issue within their regiments which undoubtedly have fans of the other circa 43 football clubs in Scotland.

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember they used to try to get people from faslane senior rates mess to go! But vast majority gave it a very wide berth!
It is disgusting how these vermin act inside their ground! Let's face it, this event is frowned upon by the hierarchy in the MOD! So I will be hoping that these so called serviceman are hauled in over this!
As I have been told many a time by knuckle draggers, the Remembrance Day "ceremony" is only for rangers and now The Rangers minded serviceman and they don't give a toss about anyone else serving!
In my 22 years in the RN I didn't come across many Supporters of the now dead club in any of the services! They are too busy sitting at home on the welfare and letting everyone else go out and protect them!

Evening ed. A wee point on Balde. I was talking with a good mate of my old man's at CP last week and he knows a few folk associated with Celtic and says Lenny and the coaching staff have very high hopes for the big man. From what he's heard his attitude is brilliant and does everything asked of him in training (unlike Tony Watt) and they're working really hard on improving his game. Just wondering if you or any of the guys ha heard anything similar. My dad's pal isn't usually one to make up stories either so here's hoping he's right! Hail Hail
Kevbhoy {Ed007's Note - I've heard that he is great in training as well Kev. He seems to be winning NL over a lot more quickly than people thought.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lets hope so Ed. Seems like we may have have a gem on our hands. Come on the big man!

Nothing against the big guy (who does look a bit raw) but the fact that the manager is having to warm to him after spending so much on him worries me.
He does not look like a natural footballer and will be a work-in-progress when we were crying out for a class finisher.

I've been thinking long and hard (and I understand there's a sensitive point at the end here) and thought i'd share my views here. Now i'm not yanking your chain - and I apologize if some of my comments rub you the wrong way; but I am fed up of being shafted by fans from the EPL, whose sheer girth of arrogance is astounding, and I feel there is nought but b*ll*cks at the root of this delusion that seems to over-ride any rational thought they may be capable of. I just sense that it's all going to come to a head sometime and could end up being a sticky situation, so before it all boils over i'd like to slip my tuppence in; which is that the EPL is really poor quality - it's Scottish League 1 standard or maybe Championship level at best. Also, my Granny could score for fun in that league and she'd look like Messi, it is so rubbish, one of the poorest top flights in Europe. It truly is a joke league - I don't know how anyone can take it so seriously. pea

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wow! Really don't kno what to think with that outburst lol, how can some of the best players in the world be compared to Scottish first division brickies and posties. Although I do think the English are all up there own arses on how good everything English is . They do have 1 of the best 3 leagues in the world surely Spain and Germany the others.
