On Sunday I went over to see my mate who is dyslexic.
When I went in he was putting boot polish on his "boaby"
I said, "Tam, my message was don't forget the clocks go back on Sunday. "

I don't understand why we had to make such sweeping changes yesterday, after such a comprehensive and devastating performance at the home of our main rivals I could see the point if it was Anderlecht with third place at stake but I don't see us beating Bayern 4-0 and challenging for 2nd.
We have been losing far too many points at home this season in very winnable games and dropping another two against Kilmarnock, when we should have pushed on in the title is very careless IMO.

The title is already won once a bhoy. It just about how many points we win it by.
A win or draw on Tuesday guarantees qualification to the Europa league.
It also brings more price money and more co efficient point that could mean less qualifiers in the future.
Plus there is nothing like beating one of the power houses of world football at parkhead.
Fans are also on thus page everyday talking about how they want to see more of the youth playing to see if they are good enough then when they play all we hear is moaning about it.

Quite easy to understand Chris mate, we have played 4 games in 10 days and got bayern this week. Like Kev said we all clamour for more youngsters getting a crack but on their backs if it dosent result in a win. Congrats to the squad for equalling the record.

Bhoywonder i believe its about BR needing to prove himself in Europe. We sre winning in SPL but he needs some European victories as do Celtic to raise our profile. I agree with once a bhoy we don't need to make theze changes. Yesterdays team was a poor selection. If it were Anderlech then understandable.

four games in 10 days -
let me see,
4 x 90 = 360 =
10 x 24 = 240 (x60 to change to minutes) = 14,400 minutes

So 11+ players have 'worked'/ shared the workload 360 minutes in 10 days.
Dietitians have organised their meals.
Personal Trainers have kept them fit.
Personal Masseurs have worked on muscles and relaxation.
Club Doctors checking their health.
I can see how the poor wee souls must be knackered - Modern Day Slavery.
I know I can be a long playing record on this subject but when people comment about hard midweek or weekend games it gets on my wick.

To me tim this is only being brought up because the points dropped, if we had won nothing would be said, if the gaffer had played full strength and say boyata or brown pulled up or got injured people on here would be saying rookie mistake etc, looks like its back to the doom and gloom, also noticed not one person congratulated the squad on an outstanding achievement of equalling malleys record.

Paddy out of bayern game and ntcham struggling. do we ever go into a big game without an injury.

I don't think either would've started. Would be nice to have the option, but think he'll go Gordon, Lustig, Boyata, Bitton, KT, Armstrong, Brown, Rogic/ McGregor, Forrest, Sinclair, Dembele.

29 Oct 2017 07:46:53
I agree with that team👆 Think McGregor will start instead of rogic though. looks like Lewandowski is out for Bayern👍.

Mc gregor Rogic both start Jamesie warming the bench .

29 Oct 2017 09:32:10
Imagine if brown and boyata were injured, Rodgers would have been slagged for not resting them, I understand 6 points dropped at home isn’t great but why not use the squad, and the windy conditions made it difficult for the players yesterday.

Paddy would have played. Ntcham would not. He's our most expensive 'project' ever.

Rogic needs to start for me.

On to the one on tues folks
Might be on my own here but have a feeling we can beat them, and the Anderlecht one is definitely winnable
Dembele to score in both games
Hh.

In the last 15 minutes of the previous game, we gave them some competition and there were cracks showing.
Love LG but hate him taking free kicks and corners when he should be in centre mixing it. When Dembele came on with Forest they ran at them up the middle and rattled them
I suspect they will have a go from the start to try and kill us off. If we play the way we did that last 15 then 1 point is a good possibility with 3 points def not beyond us.

I don't know what was worse. Our finishing, or listening to the Celtic TV commentary with Tom Boyd.

It's actually painful listening to Tom blabbering constantly throughout the game. That wouldn't be too terrible, if he talked in a way that didn't make you want to scream, gonny shut the feck up for two minutes with your inane, boring, constant comments rubbish.

He isn't as bad as big Mick though, who never takes a breath the whole 90 minutes and who thankfully his role at Motherwell has now made it impossible to commentate.

Totally dominated then the nerves crept in and to be honest they looked more likely to get a second. Too many changes and wee paddy injured, we won't miss Ntcham though. All in all a day of frustration and not helped by chronically boring and endless drivel commentary.

I wonder if they ever listen back to the rubbish they talk. The amount of talking.

Obviously not.

Onward to Bayern and as much as I hate Prod McLean, I can actually cope with him willing us to lose better.

Totally agree magic, i pay around 240 quid a year for Celtic TV and that's just typical celtic!, run with a biscuit tin mentality, the commentary is shocking and the whole set up is a shambles. if that was any other TV channel you just wouldn't pay for that dross, Tom Boyd is just woeful.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Oct 2017 14:14:42
He is beyond woeful. It is embarrassing. He doen't know when to shut up. Talks utter shite. See's every decision as against us and absolutely ruins the game.

As you say the whole set up is totally third rate Pish.

If they got an articulate, funny, co commentator in who realised we don't want to listen to them the whole game that would improve it. They compound it by having someone who talks and talks and talks a whole load of shite for 90 minutes.

Boyd was a great player and true Cekt but get him back in the stand or gag him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - His constant moaning about referees, even silly petty decisions, does my nut in.}

29 Oct 2017 17:24:20
I know. It's embarrassing.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's boring as Hell.}

29 Oct 2017 18:45:20
Yeah mine too ED, i think he watches the games with tinted green glasses on, totally bias commentary. i would much prefer someone like a Sutton or Hartson. this whole internet channel is pish can't see why they can't Brodcast through a satellite channel with proper commentators and football pundits.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - We need someone with a but if football nous who can give an object view on the game. Sure keep Tam Boyd for your general Celtic man - he's Einstein compared to that Alex Rae who is the only person alive actually stupider than he looks - but get someone with a bit of respect in to give a straight opinion on things, even a different guy every week until they find the right couple. I don't mean fans btw lol It would give the whole output a more professional and modern feel.
At least they got rid of the lassie and her Celtic bedroom looking set, that was awful but McCulloch has a lot to make up for from his Clyde days.}

28 Oct 2017 23:28:21
I think that there were maybe too many changes made today.
Although we had 11 good players on the pitch it's not easy to suddenly find the cohesion when they are not used to playing together regularly, add the conditions into the mix and it's not really surprising that we struggled at times.
The manager knows the condition of the players better than I do, but I would rather have started with less changes and a stronger line up, then possibly take players off if we were well ahead in the match.
I'm not trying to be wise after the event, but the 3 home games where we have dropped points seem to be after we have made quite a few changes from the previous games, so it's not really working for us.

29 Oct 2017 07:40:44
Couldn’t agree more Gerryc. I had a feeling when I heard the line up we might struggle, too many changes, I know he divides opinion, but I think Forrest has been playing really well again lately, players like him need momentum. The centre half situation is really coming back to bite us, Simunovic just can’t seem to stay fit, Steve Clarke is a terrific appointment for killie though.
