I've heard a few rumours about taking bennayoun on loan - I think he would fill that Microsoft role perfectly. What u think? {Ed007's Note - The what role?? That is a belter mate lmao, predictive text I take it?}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

After we fill the Microsoft role we only need to chill the apple and intel pentium prossesor positions and we will be complete lol

The Dell role has always worried me, Ed who do you see filling it?

Ed i do think your right about some rumours about players not being any better than we have,with money tight we must pick a cb and cf that can go straight into the team,which is a lot easier said than done.do you have any opinions on who to sign for these positions {Ed007's Note - Personally I would like to see Christian Benitez brought in to play up front. Boenisch can play anywhere across the back but his preferred position is LB.}

That Charles Green is defo some kinda comedian...there's no other sane explanation.

Talking about bigotry or is this way of admitting the club he's chief exec of is NOT the same as RFC ?

I mean RFC had a 120yr open policy of not signing Catholics so he cannot possibly be talking about THAT club, that would just be stupid ~ Mrs E

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Gotta sell those season books Mrs E! Get the less discerning fans on board by playing to the gallery. When you listen to his interview it is pretty clear he has not got a clue how football works..........green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree3

It really is just more comedy gold.

The previous club disgracefully collapses with major debt and amid allegations of cheating and he comes up with this.

He's basically saying Celtic and Rangers can do as they wish as any 'business' decision should just keep them in the SPL to plod on breaking rules, financial mismanagement..whatever really. Mrs E

I honestly think Celtic should stop taking sh*t and being.bullied by epl clubs if we have players like wanyama hooper mulgrew izzy and.so on we should.demand more like what they do

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Totally agree. We and other SPL clubs have let some great talents go to Engerland for paltry amounts. We should name a price and stick to it. JK

twiter saying a loan deal is in place for Norwich striker, James Vaughan. Just up to the player now (apparently).

To be honest, this is the third time Neil Lennon has went in for this boy and looking at his scoring record, I'm struggling to see why he keeps chasing him. Is this another Daryl Murphy type of signing?

twiter also saying Simon Cox is eyeing moves to Charlton or Blackburn Rovers therefore meaning he won't be coming to Celtic after we're meant to have made a move for him. We can't even sign West Brom's 4th or 5th choice striker? What chance do we have?

This is becoming a real struggle.

Hi Ed

Any inside info on Celtic signing any players before the Helsinki game ?

Also do you know if childs season ticket money which includes Rangers games are getting any token gesture

First time poster keep up the great work

Mark H {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site Mark. I would be surprised if anyone arrives before Wednesday although I am still hopeful that there will be a signing before then. As for the kids STs, the club won't be doing anything to make up for the extra charge.}

I can well remember the pre-Souness era at Ibrox, when attendances were shocking.

We also saw successive drops in Oldco's attendances at SPL games leading up to the end of last season, at a time when their supporters needed to fill the stadium to keep their club alive. Says all you need to know about them really.

Once Sevco's Div 4 season gets underway and we're into the cold and wet months of winter, and the reality of the absolute p1sh they'll be playing against strikes home, I believe they will do well to get crowds in excess of 20,000 for home games.

Oldco had too many glory seekers and hangers on that will now disappear and only the most die hard true supporters will remain.

In all of this Green has still not made known why he has become involved in Sevco or what his plans are for going forward.

The wee man with the bunnet made his plans crystal clear from day one.

There is little doubt thought, that Green got involved for financial reasons and I believe that he thought he could somehow make a quick buck from the Asian Market.

Remember his initial claims of having 15 soccer academies in Asia with 1.5 million youngsters a year going through them.

How he claimed he could tap into Rangers 5m worldwide fanbase (cough, splutter) and tap into a wider market of 500m people.

He could not have imagined that his team would end up in Div 4 with no European football for at least 3 years and an inability to generate high transfer fees.

I think we'll see the financial bubble burst at some point and Sevco enter into another insolvency event before the season ends.

There will not be enough season ticket sales and there will not be a successful share issue. Other income streams are limited. The average income to Sevco per season book will only be £215 (which is the £258 figure they put out to the media, net of VAT).

No investor in their right mind would pump any more money into a lost cause.

It's going to be interesting to watch.

Glasgows GREEN and WHYTE.

K-Dot.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

K Dot I agree with your post above and also think they will be lucky to get anywhere near 20,000 at home games.
But I have been thinking about ex club's demise, and every cloud has a silver lining, and the silver lining in this case is the wee clubs in division 3, take for example wee Albion Rovers, who barely get bye on a pittance. Even if only an extra 1000 fans went to their two home games against ex club, it would literally be a godsend to them, and if some extra television money filtered down also, well good has come out of all the cheating.
Ok some people will say that will give their fans an extra importance of how "every team needs the bears" but if decent well run teams like Albion Rovers can prosper who cares. I am ready for your replies guys, let's hear your views and also ED007's opinions? hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I think attendances will dwindle away Tim. The smaller teams will see a bit of a surge in gate money but I can't see Sevco selling out every ground as the season grinds on for them, wait until the winter kicks in.}

Agree4 Disagree1

29 Jul 2012 19:03:12
What? What? the ex Govan team did not win 10-0 as guys on RM predicted. Oh dear, their coffers will need to now expand to bring in their own "honest mistake" refs to see them safely through these nasty wee teams at the bottom of Scottish football.
I see also Green talking of "bigotry" he should ask a certain ex referee
who's name is synonamus with JR and Bobby Ewing's ranch. Timalloy

Two things that struck me today were.
1) Celtic played Inter Milan yesterday and drew, whilst Sevco could only draw after 90mins against the mighty Brechin City. Celtic pitted their wits against one of the best teams in the world, and Inter were lucky to scrape a draw. Sevco beat a part time 2nd division team after extra time.

2) Sevco brought a player on in the number 12 shirt, RFC retired the number 12 shirt shirt to honour the supporters. So how can this be the same club?

DazzaBhoy

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Celtic were playing in a friendly yesterday tho. Were u singing their praises when they got thumped by Ajax?

Agree5 Disagree4

Yeah i was, un-named poster. I was impressed with Celtic in the 2nd half in Amsterdam.

Plus i'm impressed that Ajax, Inter Milan and Real Madrid would choose to play Celtic in pre-season games. Who'd Sevco play in pre-season? Airdrie United in a closed door friendly?

DazzaBhoy

Agree5 Disagree4

We all know they never will be the same team but with no real cash i think they have borrowed strips broon shoes etc...
lets forget about them now and leave chico paranoid green to his nonsense in the 3rd division - spl 2 next year is why i think they have signed black from the bru.

davybhoy ktf

Agree2 Disagree2

If they make an SPL2 i for one won't be at any SPL ground. I shall go to Paradise and thats all.

My paranoia has been multiplied this season, and it's only the start. They hoped Sevco would be allowed back into the SPL, that's why they had a meeting and got the chairmen to vote. They tried to buy Sevco's way into Div1, by offering sweetners to SFL clubs, and now they're discussing SPL2 to get Sevco back into Premier League!

You have to be daft if you think Sevco have been punished yet. They're allowed to buy ibrokes, albion car park and auchehowie for peanuts. Allowed to enter Div3 with no competition form highland clubs. Allowed to use RFC strips, name, sponsors etc. Allowed to sign players before a transfer ban comes into play.

As for Black, he assaulted Jelavic, and was called every name under the sun. Yet when he signs for Scotlands Shame Part 2 he's a quality combative midfielder. They got in this trouble buying expensive players they couldn't afford to appease the "supporters". And yet as soon as they get the chance they do it again....Learn your lessons.

Hi ed have you read Paul Mc Convilles blog The Brechin Ultimatum worth a read he makes a lot of valid points,a must read for all Celtic and Brechin fans.Macca {Ed007's Note - Yes Macca I read it. FIFA/UEFA have been contacted to clarify the situation.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

A lot of if's and but's and that blog ain't there. Seems to me the blogger is hoping and praying for it to be true.

It's pretty clear that the Celtic fan's desperation for Rangers to be punished and investigated at every turn knows no bounds.

Tis pathetic!

TTG

Cheers ed hope Brechin reps have a look at it,good to see sevco are keeping up the old traditions lol.Macca

Agree3 Disagree1

TTG...would you not rather it was investigated ? If not, Why ?? Mrs E

Agree3 Disagree3

Would I rather what is investigated? There is nothing to be investigated. There is no fact in the blog, it's nothing more than what the blogger thinks has happened. As I said, he is hoping and praying.

The whole SFA membership saga is embarrassing enough, do you think the SFA would allow such a thing to happen? As clueless as they are, I doubt they can afford such an error to occur.

TTG

Agree3 Disagree2

'Would I rather what is investigated' - the proper registration of players ~ Mrs E

Agree2 Disagree1

TTG- Paul Mconville is a disgraced and disbarred lawyer. He is Anti RFC and the time he devotes to our club is proof of that.He also regularly welcomes Anti RFC guest bloggers to fill the pages of his site.
Where his argument falls down and where it shows his incompetence, can be found at the membership criteria section.
Rangers (D&P) have not signed over the existing membership to Dundee yet,so technically we are entitled to use it. Furthermore we have also been granted associate membership.
Everything above board. Nothing to see here move along please.
We know what the agenda is of our friends from across the city.
They wish us total extinction.
It's upto our fans to ensure this does not happen.

Rangers are still here bhoys...Get over it.

At last the penny finally drops with Green, just heard the radio interview with him saying some decisions made against rangers were driven through bigotry, try going back through the history of the bigoted organisation you bought into you oaf !! Green Judge

I watched the end of the Ramsdens Cup Tie.
The Team Formely Known as Rangers managed a win over Brechin City after extra time the result was 1- 2.

So that is the start of the march towards theur first ever trophy.

Looks like they made very hard work of it.

I've just read Goofs bit about Lenny and to say i had a laugh is an understatement.
He bleats on about the team having won the titles through toils on the pitch and therefore the club has been punished enough so no title-stripping is fair,so what your'e saying richurd is its
ok to bring in higher paid players with money you never had...financial doping or what ?
We all know some players are mercenaries vying for the best deal and that gave rankers an unfair
advantage and its no wonder players like the De boers arrived and left with their pockets full, they were the ones that gave us such an uneven playing field and you(RG) danced to the same tune so thats why your titles should be stripped

Green Judge

Believable7 Unbelievable2

They have no concept of right & wrong..if the duel contracts issue is proven then the players on the pitch should not have been there as they were not properly registered.

Maybe we should see if Messi and Ronaldo or even better Puyol (we do need a defender) will turn up for and play for a game this season. If we win, well the players on the pitch did the work. Never mind that they are not registered properly, why bother with that. Mrs E

Naw Mr Green bigotry is not rooted in the SPL.

JJ

Agree3 Disagree1

My understanding is that Green's purchase of the assets included the purchase of the name, and once conditional SFA membership was given, then Sevco can call themselves Rangers.

However, the point that GJ makes is a valid one, and BDO may well have something to say on it's continued use.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Bangura is terrible, ti think Henke.advised us to go for him

When Wilson turned his back at a goal for Rangers at Ibrox last season that did it for me.

And I'm sorry to say, but Bangura is absolute p1sh. Watt should be getting a game ahead of him.

K-Dot.

Agree1 Disagree1

What about Kayal's duck against Athletico Madrid?Players make mistakes and sometimes they should be braver but i'm willing to give players another chance to redeem themselves and Wilson hasn't had that chance yet.He is no more than a squad man anyway so let's see if when he's called upon that he responds.Bangura is supposed to be banging them in at training so i would hold on to him until at least January to see if he makes the breakthrough and if not then the Scandanavian countries seasons are just about to begin so they will have money to spend.

The "Deluded" deluding themselves..

My two ex Govan club mates, were actually BOASTING about their ex club's fans after reading today's Sunday Mail on SPL clubs season ticket sales. Despite nearly every club showing an increase in ST sales, my gullible ex club fans pointed out that some clubs "had only sold 3 or 4 thousand ST" When I tried to point out to them that teams like Motherwell, St Johnstone survived on gates of 5 thousand so 4 thousand
tickets was good regular business. I then asked them if THEIR club had
actually sold anywhere near 4 thousand ST, they could not answer me, instead blustering on about "the bears will rally round" The bears or ex bears now will indeed have to rally round as the only way to buy a ST for Ibrokes at present is by cash or cheque. It will be interesting to see how many of the "loyal" fans will buy tickets for their ex club in the middle of winter when it is peeing it down, and Man Utd v Liverpool is live on tv. hail hail Timalloy

Having read the Sunday Mail today and its sole interest on the crowd
yesterday and not the game. I thought I would have a look at the Celtic website and check for myself the upcoming games.
You can go on each section on an individual basis and see how many
tickets are available. If you do the math it works out at about 10000
tickets are available both for the Aberdeen game and the Helsinki game
I hope this is accurate.
