Amazing game today and a great atmosphere. Would just like to congratulate all the players on a great performance. Special mentions to big Boyata outstanding today, KT brilliant as usual, Olly a masterclass show had them chasing shadows and Edouard absolutely awesome. Still can't take the smile from my face.

Ntcham is looking more and more class as each game passes. Forrest had his best game in a Celtic shirt imo as did Boyata. Middle to front I think we are spoiled a good CB to partner Ajer and I think we should be in the group stages again next year. Still think a RB is also needed. Would love it if we could get Rogic, Edouard, Roberts and Armstrong signed up.

What about Craig thomson today, he himself kicks the ball out of play then awards Sevco a corner. Only in Scotland. Nevermind, their diddy team is so useless their honest mistakes are irrelevant.

I've seen drop balls being given for that before ed.

{Ed007's Note - It's definitely the rule, the ref is considered part of the playing field, if a Celtic player takes a shot and it hits the bar it a goal-kick, if a player kicks the ball off a corner flag it's a corner or goal-kick depending. The ref is like a post or a corner flag lol. I'm using my tablet or I'd look up the actual rule, Kev but the ref did call that spot on today.}

Oh i dunno about that i thought Dorrans becoming invisible was pretty impressive.

Agree it was the correct decision from Thomson to award the corner. I thought Thomson had a good game. If Rogic hadn't scored the 4th do you think he would have brought it back for a penalty?

You have done a great job ED. Your insight and humour make this site a great read.
That was brilliant today, the way we started the match just blew them away. All the players played well.
When I look back to when their old club were lording it over us with their cheating and tainted titles, this result today was payback time and I enjoyed every single minute of it.
Well done to the Green brigade, I thought their message at the start of the match about piling on the agony w
as good, but the message in the second half about them deserving nothing was a cracker.
Great result, Great atmosphere, I bet the fixture planners at the SPFL are feeling really sick tonight.

Thanks ED how does the land lie with Edourd was a price ever mentioned for full time part of the loan deal?

{Ed007's Note - Even Ed002 couldn't find it out mate which is strange, all she knew was that he was on a list of players PSG gave to Vitoria de Guimaraes of who will be available to them on loan for next season. That doesn't mean we aren't trying to sign him, more that we haven't triggered the buy-out yet.}

In my fifty years as an active Celtic fan there have been enormous highs. I just about remember Lisbon, on the telly of course, and leeds at Hampden spring to mind. The recent 5-1 defeats administered to sevco and the Scottish Cup treble clinching win are also uppermost in my thoughts. There are so many, but today was a memorable triumph for so many reasons.

In the cup semi walkover we played well, maybe as well as we have ever played, it was that good. Unless your a press reporter, because sevco were bad, we were not good. This was utter garbage. Today proved one thing, the chase they welcomed so much is over. From minute one we were at it. They never had a chance.

Some special words for certain players. Boyata, jesus big man we need this every game, outstanding. Broony and Olly, pulled the sevco three all over the place and lost them with really clever reverse passes. Odds on, and some doubted this boy, Moussa's apprentice stood in for him. But the thunder from down under. Wow. Fittest and freshest i have seem him, just raw ability and feet like a ballet dancer. jamesy, at last. But every Celt stood up to be counted.

Sevco? All is well. An under eighteen coach with no managerial experience after that? But he's box office. Not really, as a player deffo, wonderful talent, but what a risk. Those papers tomorrow will make interesting reading, night shift for jabba methinks. What a beautiful day.

What a day! The difference between us and them on and off the park is massive. We need to keep improving this summer so that they will never get close to us again. Getting Edouard tied to a long term deal is a must, the same can be said about Rogic who was class. Big Boyata a rock at the back. Domestically when it matters this team does not let us down. I hope some players get a well earned rest now and there's plenty game time for the likes of Musonda, Roberts, Miller, Compper etc. Was thinking at 5-0 this could be double figures it was so easy. Time that lot concentrated on getting their act together off the field and trying to run their club as good as Hibs, Aberdeen, Hearts etc because they are not even close to us and no amount of hand outs will get them near us now or anytime in the next decade. c'mon Celtic don't let them get back up let's bury them for good! What did they say to DD "know your place Dermot" yes we have found our place and we have done it the hard way without cheating. COYBIG.

Totally agree about the big-game mentality and professionalism by the manager and players over the last two seasons, domestically.
The hiccup at Easter Road may have affected previous Celtic sides, but you could not have asked for a more complete performance.
Only slight moan was we never added more after 53 minutes, but I suppose that's why 8-0 and 9-0 etc scorelines are very rare for a reason - even against such a poor opponent. The job was done.
There are a few that would benefit from a rest, as you say, but I think at the moment, when things are going so well, nobody wants to miss out, but resting a few before the Cup Final would be wise.
The lack of honesty, decency and integrity has caught up with the 'same club', but it is very, very clear, they are a poor shadow of the original team, even if they don't accept their true identity.
That's 5-1 twice, 4-0 and 5-0 (as well as the other positive results) over two seasons and I don't think we have managed that success to games scoring ratio against any other SPL side.?

Definitely not a time to be resting on our laurels gents, we should always try to improve each season and i feel this is the summer where we really can show them who is boss on and off the field. Really hummiliate them. If they want to pretend they are the old club then let us make sure they remember their for every £5 statement forever. A few additions, tying our star players down and continued progression of current players will see us ok. Treble treble anyone. would not bet against it.

First of all, congratulations to all the Bhoys and the management team. Another league in the bag, not far from a double treble. Great achievement and that's some day to live long in the memory today.

Second point, I'm going to reiterate it, MD's replacement is staring us right in the face. Sell him for 20/ 25+m, sign Edouarde for 7?. Hoopy days.

Great day in another potential history making season . only one gripe / moan. with an extra push at 5 -0 . we could have achieved a record score against them which would have scarred them and giving them nightmares for decades to come . but a double treble will suffice.

I said on here a few weeks ago I think our strategy in the summer should be keeping our big players at the club and then building on that. Hopefully Commper can get a run in the last 3 league games so we can see what he is about. Outstanding performance today Mon the hoops yassssss.

If we sell Dembele for say £15mill and its £7mill for Eduard then its a no brainer. Hope Rogic will stay. We do need a new right back but I think Ralston can do that. We definitely need a new keeper. He just can't play out. A great shop stopper and if we would release him from his playing from the back duties he would be ok. However if BR wants a keeper to play from the back then Gordon is not the man. By the way thought Brown had an average game today. I would rest him for a couple of games. Who cares now and to be fair Aberdeen could do with a wee leg up. Rangers 4th. Perfect season.

Hopefully next season will see us clear the guys who don't add to the quality of the squad and improve it knowing full well every player replaced is still above what sevco have or will have. Happy days.

Well said @Jenny, Right in among them from the first minute is the only way o go today, let's jump all over them and put this one to bed in the first half.
