just heard about KT ankle ligement damage out for 2 months, I am relieved because he is a young man and he needed to rest anyway we did not want him burned out. I hope the person who slated me for recommending we when for Andrew Robertson is reading this now.

Relieved? Ligament damage could recur for years, or he could never recover fully. Wit u smokin jonace.

To be fair, I reckon you got slated because Andy Robertson was such an unrealistic shout, not because they wouldn't want him.

Hi guys, just heard about young Tierney's injury. Bitter blow for the lad and I hope he comes back soon and at least as good as before. Although I'm a bluenose I wish him well as I genuinely believe he's the best home grown real talent to come from Scotland in the last 30 years. Outstanding player and modest with it.

That is a devastating blow for the lad and the team. Although KT is lacking in years, there is no doubting his ability and confidence and even more experienced players have looked to him in games.
Izzy showed on Wednesday that he will step-up to the plate, but there is no denying how much we will miss Tierney's contribution, consistency and reliability. Best wishes and speedy recovery KT.

Relieved because he needed a rest anyway? Sorry jonace but that's got to be in the running for the new year's awards list - 'worst line of the year'. If he needed a rest, and I believe the club have the insight and the technology to figure that out, there are much more practical ways than the boy sustaining ligament damage. That way of thinking is wrong on many levels.

Glad someone else noticed that. Honestly thought a was the only one for a while. What a comment!

I'd had too many and my reply to the post wasn't put up last night thankfully 😅.

{Ed007's Note - Is that the same Andrew Robertson who plays for Hull and that's out injured for 2-3 months with a calf injury? Why would Celtic sign an injured player to replace an injured player?
I think jonace must have been drunker than you mate.}

Absolutely devastated about the news about KT breaking his leg. Take heart from our most recent idol in Henrik and come back better and stronger YNWA.

Apparently it's his ankle.

Hope to goodness it's no true. Really rate KT. One of the best players I've seen in the Hoops.

Tierney is a big loss but izzy is a decent replacement. The good news is ankle breaks only take 6 weeks to heal if it is a straight break.

28 Oct 2016 20:33:07
Ankle ligaments people are saying on social media, 2 month recovery.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 20:44:33
Ligament damage, celtic said he'll be out for 2 months. Think ligaments might take a bit longer than that.

28 Oct 2016 20:46:22
Celtic have said 2 months apparently.

28 Oct 2016 21:17:37
Absolutely gutted, for Celtic, Scotland, the fans and of course KT himself: he is a joy to watch and in my opinion, along with Brown, Dembele and Sinclair has been absolutely superb this season - in fact, I can honestly say I have not seen a game where I have not been really impressed with him. I hope he makes a really quick recovery.
One saving grace as far as the team is concerned is that Izzy is a great player to have as a replacement.

28 Oct 2016 22:53:50
Agreed thank God izzy never left.

big blow to lose KT.
I would like to see us go with a 3 at the back.

Dont share to optimism about izzy playing at LB he's a defensive liability.

Guy in shocking and teams will be targeting him as he weak link in urban defence.

28 Oct 2016 19:15:25
Just on the radio mate. Think it might be his ankle and unlikely to play for some time. Ed, is this not the 2nd time KT has broken a leg? Gutted for the boy but I'm sure he will be back better and even more gratuitous about his life as a Celtic player.

Who do we go with on Saturday

Forrest or Roberts

I would stick with Roberts as he for me is more effective and has a better final ball. I thought he overdid it at times on Wednesday but overall se him as a more consistent and potent threat.

What's the consensus and why?

Believable5 Unbelievable0

28 Oct 2016 12:56:25
I would also drop Bitton who I think is struggling and put in Armstrong.

Agree9 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 12:59:26
I would go for Roberts. I think Forrest has really improved, but I think Roberts is a different level altogether. I would be delighted if we managed to get him permanently - far happier than if a large chunk, or all, of the transfer kitty went on someone like McCarthy instead.

Agree3 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 13:10:35
Roberts more offensive but forrests better in tracking back al trust brendans judgment on this one a think.

Agree1 Disagree2

28 Oct 2016 13:37:48
Roberts all day long. Forrest has improved, a bit, but still doesn't do half as much as Roberts.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 14:11:56
With the goals and assists that forrest has had this season I would be happy of see either of them start.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 14:44:08
Personally I much prefer Roberts BUT I understand BR's thinking behind playing Forrest from the start because it allows him to bring on Roberts against a tired LB for the last half an hour of a game and there's only ever going to be one winner there. Think they'll give us a right good game on Sunday, it should be a cracker!

28 Oct 2016 15:02:31
I suppose that's an alright way of thinking about it kevbhoy.

28 Oct 2016 18:10:44
Forrest has been a pleasant surprise this season. but he seems to be going backwards at the moment. When the chips are down, ie Borussia he loses confidence and seems scared to go on the outside and beat the man, instead preferring to cut inside and look for an 'out' pass. Roberts will try to beat his man all day long, but. he prefers to cut inside too, more effectively than Forrest. Roberts for me and the way Guardiola is binning players at MC, I would love it if we could sneak him.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 20:16:31
Roberts or Forrest? I would like Roberts in but would trust BR's judgement. Bitton or Armstrong is a no brainer for me. Armstrong all the way.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 20:53:27
Forrest better tracking back Mally? Come on man forrest is one of the laziest players iv ever seen at celtic. And he is slowly going back to his former self in recent seasons. Improved under rodgers but its only been a handful of games.

I see Broony is reported to be coming out of international retirement. Firstly I'm surprised and, from a selfish point of view, disappointed as his form this year has been unreal and I'm sure the rests have helped. On the other hand I suppose you have to trust him to know his body and perhaps he can put in another world class performance at Wembley and help beat England. What's everyone's thoughts on this?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

28 Oct 2016 12:23:24
Wish he would just leave it his body getting rested every international break but there's always a risk of picking up an injury.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 12:50:50
If your country needs you and it's a vital game then I think he plays. I would if I was him. I take all the points about the benefits to us, but needs must.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 12:54:20
Martyc1888: I`m with you mate, from a Celtic point of view i was happy that he got a rest and the form he is in is some of the best we have seen from him. However having said that, it could be that Broony is injury free for the 1st in a long time and we are seeing the benefits of that.
I also the fact that we have 2 games against England and that Snodgrassis out for a few games, so I think Strachan has poss approached Broony ( and why not ) .

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 13:03:23
As a Scotland fan, I am delighted. I think Brown has been superb this season and believe he would give Scotland a massive boost and much better chance against England. Should Scotland lose that game, I would say our chances of qualification are over, so would think it would make sense for him to step down again.
All that said, listening to Strachan's absolute guff regarding Griffiths, would he even pick Brown when it appears that height is the most important factor in getting a game for Scotland these day.?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 13:14:48
I find it strange that he's already came out and was positive about retirement and pointed to the fact it gave him a rest allowing him to gain his best form back for Celtic . I unlike quite a few on here have always thought he wasn't finished as a player but I would be gutted to see him return to last seasons form, where he looked a shadow of how he is playing for us this year. The training Rodgers has the team working too must be high intensity the way the players are performing and Scott is the catylist for a lot of it . With no rest plus extra travelling, plus he's just had a third child I really don't see why he has changed his mind.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 13:19:31
Disappointed he's returning to Scotland as I personally think he's better for the rests that international week brings. It's clear to me that he is a good spl player but he struggles when stepping up in Europe as that entails playing at a higher intensity which his body can't keep up with and will struggle even more if he is not rested frequently.

Agree0 Disagree4

28 Oct 2016 14:46:02
I think the fact Scotland are really struggling for midfielders has probably played a part. It's exceptional circumstances especially when it's England at Wembley.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Oct 2016 20:35:47
Disappointed but a can see why he would fancy a crack at engurland in the form he's in.
