whats peoples thoughts on early closure of English transfer window? Will it benefit us and our neighbours. My own feeling is it will greatly increase the number of loan deals up here from EPL.

ED were we interested in Kurt Zouma last year or something? think i remember us being. He'd be a good signing imo.

@Turner, Bamba would be a good signing but St Etienne done well in Ligue 1 this year so can see him extending his stay.

Interestingly Saidy Janko is doing well for himself at St. Etienne - always felt france would suit him better. strong and athletic.

Any thoughts on the potential free signing of Jonathan Bamba from Saint-Étienne?
Can play RW or CF
Contract is up next month and he is a current France u21 international
Allows us to help him continue his development and recognition and if sold in the future then hopefully earns us a few quid in the process, but if we get him he could create some competition for the inform JF.

I wouldn't buy a player, just he was free . We cannot afford to pay ist team wages for a player who we don't think is going to be a first team player .
This idea of a player blowing hot and cold worries me, as unless B R can sort this out I don't know why we should have him .

Forrest blows hot and cold though chris and is a mainstay. I could easily see Bamba competing with him and in time replacing him. This is a young project who plays in the same group as Dembele and Ntcham for France u21s so that's a reflection of his potential. It's also a good carrot to come here with players he already knows hopefully they could tempt him? On a free, I'd take him on board for sure.

Jim Jim, You mean Forrest blows hot and warm and he is one of our own . The tactics that we play often mean James has to hug the right touch line to help to give the team shape , and that is often at a time when K T and S S and big Tom are pressing down left . J F can appear to be not performing but he is giving others a chance, playing to orders.
