Just catching up on all the posts and the two on the Sevco page about Resolution 12 and the other on their debt caught my eye.
On RES12 saw some good online articles that basically state that CFC do not want to be directly involved but have given the shareholders the go ahead to take case to UEFA, apparently also the club have shared some info they got from the SFA but on the understanding it is not made public. The big problem the shareholders have is that UEFA like the SFA will only deal direct with a member club, but it appears someone within the club, un named naturally, has given assurances that if UEFA accept the shareholders letter and ask Celtic for their thoughts it will be given, but my own opinion is UEFA will simply not even look at the shareholders letter.
Now on to the Sevco "warburtonchest" the new club are in the mire with "soft loans" keeping them afloat (some of the loans are not that "soft" with Wonga style interest rates)
Apparently it costs about £17m a year just to run Ibrox, without adding on wages etc. it has been calculated that the club presently make about £18/ £19m a season from season tickets and other ventures. King is hoping to raise much more when they go up to the SPFL but finance routes are all maxed out and even these "soft" loans cannot continue forever.
Raising the season tickets is planned but even with this extra cash the running costs of Ibrox and staff and players wages will swallow up all of this and more. How the bread man will get his "warchest" is anyone's guess.
Unless King really DOES give away his kids inheritance and ploughs the £30m promised, Sevco 1 will become Sevco 2.

As you said the raising of the issue will undoubtedly be ignored if it is left to shareholders to fight alone. Other technicalities have so far been overlooked, technicalities in the case used as a loose term for blatant breach of rules and regulations.
With a heavy heart i'm not surprised that cfc have taken a back seat in the matter. We should have stood properly. We didn't. As a social risk it would of been a massive step. It could have been a weapon for media and bams alike so I don't know what the best option would have been long term for Glasgow. Standing up and being counted would of meant the world to me. We were slated and ground down at every opportunity in national print when we were on the brink. I'm ashamed we didn't stand up.
King has wealth? More than most? What he has access to is different. the soft loan situation is a classic example of being rooked, needing funding from outside parties that only took said deals because they will be financially benificial to them. The biggest question that has never been asked by the media is why pay interest if it costs the club money. IF he has the money there already, why pay anything that would derail their cl trophy plans for 2020 with such reckless overheads!
Simple question. So simple answer.

Cant believe it would take that much to run a stadium for a year, why don't all the clubs that can put solar panels on the roofs, and wind turbines where possible to harness the natural resource and sell. Excess Leci back to the national grid, that would save some expense, don't see how it would be 17mil unless there somebody on the take, but would that be a surprise?

It has been around 17 million for a while but it will not just include the running of the stadium.

Only fans who were unfortunate to be born without a brain would have expected their club to take on the Rangers / SFA axis . It doesn't take long memories to go back to 2012. Can we remember a couple of post liquidation events/ meetings . New Rangers met with SFA to decide what they would accept as punishment . Yes that happened and not one club spoke out about it . Scottish football authorities were for keeping Rangers in SPL, maybe one club spoke out .
It took the fans from every club to tell their Chairmen etc how to vote . That is how Sevco were put to the bottom of the pile .
Surely with Res. 12 the Celtic fans and other clubs that have lost money by the Rangers friendly SFA should have long, long ago said NO and created such a fuss that the SFA had to act . Leaving to club alone is not fair as the Rangers have power in various ports of call and can threaten and damage reputations of people who get in their way . That is why we need to broaden the anti settlement base as wide as possible.

Cheers ED007 trying to get back in the swing of things and back to normal, as I said I have not even been putting on my usual horse bets and I seem to have missed out on a "hot" streak by ED023 at Cheltenham and then over this weekend (he had a big priced winner today at Fairyhouse) Also one of the other punters over there ABIGHANDFORJEREMYBEADLE was also red hot at Cheltenham with TEN winners, some going, but I see some of my fellow tims took my advice and won money on these tips. These two are really the ones to follow as both do research and it appears to be paying off, you can be sure I will be following both of them at Aintree in April.

{Ed007's Note - I noticed that Ed023 was getting a bit of praise over his bets, he seems to do alright out of it.}

Tim I would firstly like to pass on my sincere condolences on the loss of your sister. I hope you are holding up ok.

I had a look at the betting page on your advice. The Ed gave a few great tips for Cheltenham. I, like yourself, enjoy a flutter. I had a good run of things this year (not always the case as we all know) . A fair bit of luck combined with a bit of form studying. Absolutely love Cheltenham. I have to say though, I have made a few quid following your advice so thank you. I take the penalty awarded in the Barcelona games and have cleaned up at 12/ 5. That was brilliant spot from you.

All the best.

Is that meant to be funny? Anyway rd has drawn with ajax n fenerbahce has very unlucky in san siro drawn with maribor and some others its the home form in europe i think that let's him down most that was my point.

Steff88 what are u on about honestly! Do u not remember the embarssments a way to the European giants of molde Legia Malmo? Anyone who can come on here and defend his record in Europe needs there heads looked at! I think we've played 26 games in Europe under him and won 8 of them! 4 against part timers from Iceland! The other 4 was Malmo quarabag Zagreb and Astra! Hardly European heavyweights! Not even close actually! We're currently on an 11 game winless run in the EL, which I think is only 2 games from the all time record! These are all in black and white mate! It's an horrendous record!

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Mar 2016 08:19:30
Beav you mention 4 teams not being euro heavy weights! Are you implying we should be up ther with the big guns? I for one hold my hands up and say that out of the 4 teams you mentioned quarabag and zagreb were techniqually better than us and you also fail to mention the best night I've had in years with the 3-3 draw with inter, the current climate in football and standard off player in scotland for all teams is making it very very hard to make any impact in europe.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Mar 2016 09:54:12
Falkirkbhoy did I mention we were European heavyweights? I making the point that out of every team we've beat none have been top class! And you mention the inter game, ok I'll give u that one for the way we came back! That's one exciting game against a half decent team out of 26! And this current level of player in Scotland doesn't wash with me! Does that explain why we we're comprehensively beaten home and away by molde? A team who at the time were 7th in the Norwegian league? I'll say it again, anyone on here who can defend that European record needs threre eyes tested!

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Mar 2016 17:27:59
Im not defending it mate your point is correct on all accounts, i was pointing out the heavyweight remarks because the way i took it you mean because these teams aren't big names we shouldn't struggle against them?
I still believe these teams had some bettr players than us though .
