I have been one of the board's biggest critics at times over so called "penny pinching" but credit where credit is due, on New Years day, Celtic are running free buses from all over Glasgow to Celtic Park, thistle fans as well can hop aboard, yes I know the sceptics on here will say they are just trying to boost the attendance on a day when no public transport runs, but all fans must acknowledge this gesture and I hope Partick bring a few extra hundred because of this also.
I believe buses will run from all the outlying housing estates and from Partick and Buchanan bus station, all buses from the schemes will then go to Buchanan Street and run a shuttle from there until kick off, then all buses will pick up fans after the game heading back to their original pick up point. My information is between 15 and 20 double deckers will be hired so that must cost Celtic a few thousand pounds.
I hope all the buses are packed with home and away fans. hail hail Timalloy

I was watching Football Focus this morning. There was an interview with Gareth Southgate and he made a brief comment that is so true. When talking about development players making the breakthrough to the England first team he said that their talent is what gets them through the door but it is their attitude that keeps them there.
Are you listening Tony Watt??

Wee bit disappointed this evening. Went across to Parkhead to see the Bhoys getting on the coach. it was pretty miserable as its cold and each one of them stopped to get a pic taken with the handful of supporters waiting. One of my all time heroes, Danny McGrain, came out and when I asked him to pose with me for a second he told me he was awfy busy and rushed past to get on the coach. Just to point out to him that its just as cauld for the supporters as it is for the players and staff and we don't get paid the same. And in case anyone feels like bringing age into it, I've just turned sixty so we are near the same! That said, he has not lost his hero status for me. But if he ever asks to get his photo with me then he can (as my mum used to say) go'n take a run up my Humf! Hail Hail.

Shame. I would never have thought Danny would do that.

Courtesy and good manners costs nothing Danny. Without the support the club means nothing.

Wee Danny used to drink in the Telstar in Old Kilpatrick around 20 odd years ago. Never spoke to him myself but heard he was a good laugh and good company to be drinking with. I think it was around the time he was involved with Arbroath. I hated the Telstar, always had it down as a Rangers boozer!

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe the guy was just having a bad day? Happens to all of us

Ive been to a few functions that Danny has been at and he has always had time for everyone who approached him, he didn't sound like he was rude.so maybe just having a bad day. Still a total legend.
