Theres just no pleasing some people. End of the day, a win is a win, 3 points are 3 points. Its a step in right direction.

Beginning to think that even if Delia gets his own squad and they win every game and bags treble, there will still be people out there slating him.

You would think people would be happy now we have a striker who knows how to find the back of the net

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Come off it DN30, 2 strikes on target results on win we are poor mate, look good, and there no real signs of progress? and now being told we look tired? never known it before mate after 7 games have you?

Agree1 Disagree1

I think we are all happy with the three points. However, at a time when we should be streets ahead of the competition, we are struggling to get those points. When the undead were laid to rest we all thought that this was a chance to use pretty much guaranteed CL cash to increase the gap. This has not happened. Our league position summ
Sums it up. Even if we win our game in hand we are still only joint second. This, for me, is just not good enough. We have not progressed and that is the bottom line. i'm concerned about this season and I'm not looking forward to next season. I'm worried about being drawn against the zombies as they will not be the walkover they should be. Happy with three points? Always. Happy with our progress? Absolutely not.

Agree1 Disagree0

At least we are in a better position tonight compared to last Sunday night. I know Deila is not playing the formation I would like but at least we have won two domestic games in a row.

Agree1 Disagree0

DN I'm always happy with a win and 3 points, i'm easy pleased that way.

I do have concerns though, which i'm allowed to have just as you were with Lennon and any other Manager.

I have no qualms what-so-ever about our Manager being a former player or 'Celtic man', this has never bothered me in the least - I don't know what else to say to you about this. I know some fans, and not just at Celtic, prefer this as they think then they have a Manager who understands them blah.

What Ronny says and what we see on the park are polar opposites:-

He's spoken about unfit players - its the end of September and I see players who look lazy, cannot be bothered and have no pace.

Attacking football - we are struggling to break teams like Dundee down and are playing with no creativity at all. We seem disjointed most of the time.

Gordon, Wakaso, Guidetti, Scepovic, McGregor, Berget, Denayer, Tonev - did not work under Lennon last season to blame his poor diet and the rest have been working with Ronny for 3/4 months now. This is enough time to see the benefits of any change in diet particulary in a player who was already reasonably fit.

Anyway, these are my concerns.

Agree2 Disagree0

@DN you confuse me mate. If this was Lennons record last season you would be slaughtering him.

We are struggling at times to convert the 4-5-1 into 4-3-3 during games it should really feel like we have 3 up front not 1 we should be playing like Madrid in the league or at least trying in that formation! One positive is I think we've found browns long term replacement in mcginn! That boys got some potential I'd like him and Armstrong our midfield would be more dynamic what do u all think?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I don't think we have found the replacement for anyone whilst talking about players playing for other teams . For 50 years or more players have upped their performance against Celtic . This is no guarantee that they can play consistently well for us . I don't think we need to look for Brown's replacement yet, he looks by far our best player and hopefully will be with us for years yet .

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but we need some one who can run the MF when brown isn't playing and McGinn can learn from him he was the st mirren player of the year last year at 19 and has played well for a season and a bit we need a replacement when brown leaves and this boy could be it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt see the game today through working but I remember after one of the Saint Mirren games last season I said the exact same thing SOS. Think the boys got great potential.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is the boy McLean not a cracking mid aswell?

@jamiebhoy the reason they look tired is because the squad was unfit and are doing loads more training our squad was fit under Strachan but Lennon seemed to let this side of the game slip.

I personally can't wait till Forrest is back playing and can't understand why he splits the fans, (not talking about his injury problems, purely his footballing ability) I also think Henderson is the best center mid we have to play beside brown. Does Ronny just not fancy him edd? Or is there something we don't know about, he can't make the squad but is a way better player IMO than Yohanson or Bitton. Markiebhoy

27 Sep 2014 16:40:37
My big problem is this squad rotation policy! He doesn't have a scooby what his best team is yet and how many games have we played under him? Play your strongest 11 please Ronny, at least until they have gelled and we can see the type of football you keep wittering on about. When we have a bit of stability then start giving the odd player a rest. your gambling with our season and your job Ronny and I honestly think you underestimate and are slightly disrespectful of the other teams in the SPL. that could be another disaster for you. I'm still finding Ronny's team selections and tactics very frustrating. We are making hard work of every game and after 7 games, we've dropped 7 points already! The football is anything but 'free flowing'.

I'd much prefer to see 2 strikers play up front in the league games and cannot understand this 1 lone striker. We got our 2nd goal in a few minutes after it changed to 4-4-2

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I am trying hard to be patient and give him the benefit of the doubt - but he is really not utilising ALL the players at his disposal and the football is more akin to the Norwegian second division.
We hardly created anything in the first half against a packed defence as we do not have enough players who can see, or even execute a decent pass properly.
There is little pace in the team and we look likely to concede against every opponent we play.
How many times this season have any of us actually enjoyed watching Celtic?. That can't be good.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is my worry Jim, we don't look any better than your average Scottish team (bottom 6 without Scott Brown) and yet we want to be at Champions League level.

The other teams in Scotland can't get past the Europa League qualifiers, not even close.

I want to give Ronny time and hope he is a success but I just can't see what it is he's trying to do.

The youth and fringe players - think this ship has sailed, useless.
Players bought in over the summer - so far our best signings are loan, no words necessary

How are we building or rebuiding anything?

Agree0 Disagree0

I normally agree with your posts .
I think that the loans were bought in because by the time Deila had accessed his squad fully and decided the positions he wanted strengthening it was going to exceed budget to rush in a few purchases. It was thought buying in haste could turn out to be buying expensive flops.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately (and last season not withstanding) a load to celtic and European football is a better prospect at this point for some prospects than a proper move. Its depressing to say the least.

For Ronny's teams, I think I can see he wants one and two touch passing as the norm, with some penetration from the flanks and a bit of dribbling. The forwards seem to be expecting more direct passing from further back in the field, and when they get it the look plausible, but not fluid. It is early days, but that was a pretty woeful showing.

Brown was decent, Emilio, and I like the pace on Mubarak Wakaso; even if he's not successful he'll open things for the centre forwards, and with forrest on the other side, and his tendency to cut in, they could be good together especially if they can change wings.

But hey - that wasn't worth the 2 hours I put into it.

Agree1 Disagree0

I get all that Yourman, it just doesn't seem that Ronny is building a squad he can say is his.

We had 2 shots on goal today, TWO!This is from someone who plays attacking football.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know Mrs T but like all managers I don't believe a word that Deila says when he speaks his of long term goals .
Remember he use to talk about playing attractive attacking football. The attacking football doesn't exist and my God we are playing our most unattractive football for years .
However Mrs T is we can put together a run of victories, the spirit and the style of football may pick up.

Well Well Well!

A should just "cut n paste" this week in week out!

Another POOR performance RD says "we looked tired"? when have ever ever looked tired 7 games into a league campaign before?

Another FIVE shots on target!

Another win via a "deflected goal"!

Anyone now an advocate for this 4-3-3 in our league wants to have another think!

St Mirren go SIX at the back! and suddenly there no room to run into as a said our league is "anti-football"!

At the 60 min mark he goes TWO up front up and within 3 mins we are back in the lead! ONLY for him to leave another 3-4 mins make the switch and go back to 4-3-3! FFS!

Not prepared to sit and watch a Celtic struggle week in week out to overcome domestic opposition! This is DIRE we are needing the "rub of the green" to overcome piss poor teams and that will run out eventually for sure!

Sorry meant to type LESS than 5 on target it was in fact TWO!

I know we won but we look a poor side with no system or fluidity. Johansen, McGregor were poor and has Scepovic even had one good touch yet? Upsides were Izzy played great again and I thought Efe had a good day. We will however get murdered against a good European team. Never miss a Celtic game either by going or on TV but its a bad day when I was thinking of changing to the Liverpool v Everton game. What is everyone's opinions?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hi Marty yes a big plus for Efe and an even bigger 1 for Izzy

Kayak, Biton or Henderson are better players than Johansen or Mcgregor.
Need to start worrying for when Mulgrew and Forrest are fit because you can be sure this mapper will play them.

Agree0 Disagree0

I for one hopes whatever he is called picks Forrest, if and when he gets fit .

Not much can be said about that, apart from a new manager is required before serious damage is done.

Yet again another biased refereeing performance from think he must still be seething that we pumped his team the other night!

I see Commons has been left out with an injury, but although he has shown in patches this season, it might be Denayer we miss more as the back four looks weak.
I would have preferred McGregor to have been given a wee rest, but I suppose RD knows best?
St Mirren have struggled this season, but so have Motherwell and Dundee and they took points off us.
I should be confident of a win, but I am yet to be convinced that we have settled into some sort of form and consistency and we waste too many chances given all our possession.

Looking forward to seeing Wakaso play and if Guidetti and Stokes can link up we may get a goal or two?
It's important to string some wins together and get our season off the ground without more set-backs.
is always good for honest mistakes and St Mirren brought about the demise of Mowbray and if RD fails again, I will have lost finally patience with him and so will many others, I reckon.

I see deila is saying he won't be tinkering with first team anymore . would like to see Henderson get a game he is playing very well for youth team at the moment. I think he would link up well with young mgregor. what's your thoughts people

The treatment of the gb is as organised by are board as the selling of are prize assets is, it's as simple as this, any fan organisation with a voice that puts any danger to the strangle hold Desmond and lawell have on are club will be dealt with in this manner, I personally wasn't ther on we'd as I've made my stance and will not be going back to paradise until ther is a regime change Desmond needs to sell the club NOW it is mere pocket money to this man with the wealth of nearly 2 billion it is pocket change to him what he is taken from are club in selling are prize assets he in my mind is a greedy man with his monkey in lawell, ther time is up at cp and me for one will not be back at Cp until ther is big changes, I think Desmond and lawell have all ther chickens in one basket in the hope that rangers come up next season and all will be good in full stadiums week in week out , dreaming , ther biggest mistake was takeing Lennon for granted some fans didn't like his way of playing sometimes but the fact is he did bring back the thunder and now he has gone it has gone with him I hope he is back at paradise one day, as he was one of us and loved the club more than Desmond or lawell could ever hope of loving Celtic

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The green brigade bring an atmosphere to the games, but the same gb have embarrassed celtic on a regular basis with the club receiving numerous fines for their continuous refusal to adhere to what you can and cannot sing and political banners on show, hardly a prize asset.as for not going back to celtic park until Dermot Desmond and peter lawwell are gone is IMO, pretty pathetic from a celtic fan.as for Lennon, if you were happy with cup defeats against, st miren, Kilmarnock, hearts, Morton, I shudder to think what reaction there would be if Deila loses against lesser opposition.and if you don't go back to celtic park for the reasons you give take it from me you won't be missed.killy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Killy you obviously take second best in your life just like 55 percent of your country, everybody has ther views and my post on prize assets was for hopper wannyama foster and co your obviously happy with the way the club is being run, my trip to go too paradise is a thousand miles round journey I work 7 nights a week to follow the team I adore but that is nothing for to see Celtic run out on too any pitch is worth it but since those displays in cl qualifiers something snapped and my stance is my stance I'm not goading any one else to join me , and for me not being missed why have I had over 20 emails from Celtic over the last 3 weeks wondering why I ain't bought my eufa cup tickets plus other offers but I don't want to be missed I just don't want too give any more of my hard earned cash to this joke running the club I have travelled too see for over 30 years and as for the gb I personally agree with 99percent of ther views and Lenny might have had a few bad results but I would still rather have him than the joke we have at the helm at the momment hail hail

Some good points TET,like u I have for a number of years wanted to c ,Desmond and his 2 monkeys lawell and park piss off.

Agree0 Disagree0

English Tim I have been a celtic supporter for 60 years, and over that period I have seen worse celtic teams than we have at present, years of winning absolutely nothing, but you know what, I went to see the team that I also love, why because I'm a celtic supporter.when the team is struggling I shout them on encouraging them that's what I always thought supporters were for, not turning your back on them because things are not to your satisfaction.as for the green brigade, as I said my earlier post they create a tremendous atmosphere to the stadium, but why do they bring politics, and songs that are prohibited into it.and why did you bring politics into your post, I voted no to independence, not because Westminster promised scotland more powers, because I asked snp in my area 4 questions that I never got a proper answer to (1) defence, (2)immigration, (3) currency, (4)the cost of leaving the uk.i won't bore you with the childlike answers to those questions.this page is all about opinions you are entitled to yours and me likewise.killy.
