Ed is it true mark Wilson lied in court and so did his wife today or can we not talk about this on here for legal reasons.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - The case is done so you can talk about it, Gordo, Matt McGlone who I've known for over 20 years gave some very interesting evidence that didn't exactly show Wilson in the best of lights.}

28 Oct 2015 07:42:31
I seen what he said after the case saying that Mark Wilson had a lot more to drink then he had said and the reason why he was let go by dundee United. I always liked Wilson but no more. did he really say he was phoning paddy mccourt to say he was with a hun and wished all rangers fans where dead I read that was all lies.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Wilson accused Zaluska of saying he was going to phone McCourt to tell him that he (Wilson) was 'with a Hun' and that stated that he wanted to 'kill all Rangers fans'. Both of these statements were just part of a web of lies Wilson and his wife tried to pass off as truth yesterday. The lies Paton had already told Dundee Utd over the incident were why he was eventually freed by them.
After Wilson and his wife gave evidence it was McGlone's turn and as soon as Matt had finished giving his evidence Paton's lawyer advised him to change his plea to guilty on a lesser charge, or cut a deal with the PF as it's known in deepest darkest Hamilton.}

28 Oct 2015 12:39:59
Is this anything to do with Zaluska apparently making Rangers taunts? Even read it was a push and he fell over and blacked out?

Well I see Gary I want to leave Celtic to get in the England team Hooper, is now at Sheffield Wednesday, you have fell a long way, the grass isn't always greener.

Wish people would get over Hooper leaving. Everyone has dreams and aspirations, is he not allowed to follow his?

28 Oct 2015 11:36:32
DN30 point we are trying to make is he was never going to get in the England team, he went chasing the £££, as if 20,000 a week is not enough to live and retire after a playing career.

28 Oct 2015 18:10:18
Nonsense Wee1888. Anything is possible in football. Did anyone think that Charlie Adam would sign for Liverpool for £9m a few years back? . Anyway why are you so obsessed as to where Hooper plays now?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Oct 2015 20:22:39
I'm obsessed with everything Celtic past and present can't help it 🍀🍀.

Following the news that Celtic are looking to open a franchise in America, the Sevco chairman Mr King has opened talks in Bahrain to cash in on the lucrative Arab market to try and earn the cash strapped Govan club some much needed money, he spoke with representatives of Bahrain club Al Riffa to sponsor Sevco and have even chosen a local name to blend in seemlessly they will be called RIFFA RAFF.

I feel I must apologise for thinking that the Eds went over the top in pointless rants at Celtic players and other things Celtic. The reason why I am apologising was during Kris Commons protracted contract talks last year one of the Eds made fairly strong over the top points about Commons . I thought that at the time the Ed really was abusing his position . I now realise everything he said about Commons was correct .
Commons disgraced himself and more important Celtic on Thursday night but to me the worse thing of the lot was reading in several blogs that Commons "privately " thinks he will get a new contract and out stay Deila . It shows Commons for what he is if his "private" thoughts are out in the open Kris they can't be "private" if u are publishing them for your advancement .

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - That's appreciated, Chris. Most players would have kept their head down after Thursday but Commons has always needed to make it all about him at every club he's been at, his remarks about outstaying the manager should hopefully see him being dragged over the coals by senior club management, that's just another example of totally unacceptable conduct since he arrived.
He needs to knuckle down and realise the club isn't a leisure club where you turn up for a kick about with your mates and a laugh and a joke is the order of the day - those days are long gone, training sessions are taking seriously and everyone is expected to follow orders, there's a time and a place for joking around.
Commons has always been a poor trainer and struggled with fitness so RD's regime will have been a major problem right away and he's since admitted he was causing RD problems back then, he is one of the major problem's at the club and the sooner he is moved on the more the team spirit will return.}

27 Oct 2015 18:22:22
Ed of that is the case why does Delia not do something about it? If Commons is so bad news he had every opportunity last week to make his point so why does he put him straight back in the team. If you are correct then Ronnie is a mug putting up with it!

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - I don't know, maybe he thinks if he throws him enough rope and all that.}

27 Oct 2015 18:58:16
If that's the case after last Thursday he could have done what he wanted with Commons. Now he has taken him back into the fold it's back to square one. He can't drop him now. I honestly think that Ronnie believes he is on the way out and maybe he thinks the job is just too complicated. He has never had this experience before and he looks worried to rock the boat. Not strong enough with the Board of the players. That being the case he is done for. I don't think Job too big.

27 Oct 2015 21:44:32
I would have imagined Commons behaviour on Thursday night would have resulted in the Celtic board discussing any punishment with Deila. Bringing the club into disrepute should be a board disciplinary matter .

Agree0 Disagree1

27 Oct 2015 23:02:30
The Commons situation and other disciplinary and moral depleting situations really highlight the lack of discipline at Celtic Park and a severe lack of respect.
I mentioned before about how important the captain is in club harmony and communication especially as the managers trusted representative; but clearly there are divided loyalties in the camp.
I reckon there is a clicke at the club who have a not-so-hidden-agenda.

Izzy and Ciftci in bust up over a dodgy Izzy tackle, Ciftci lashed out and Izzy required stiches to his ear? It was meant to be internally sorted and everything is okay? That should be Ciftci finished imo he's too much of a hot head will only cause unrest in the dressing room!

Believable2 Unbelievable2

27 Oct 2015 17:33:47
Things like this happen all the time, just that the press were present its being reported. I wouldn't get too bothered about it. Most incidents are treated internally and are never heard of. But the scottish press will love it and jump all over it. don't jump on their bandwagon.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Oct 2015 17:53:55
We don't know what happened, - it's also behind closed doors, it's different if it's in front of cameras/premeditated. I just wish Izzy had put in a few more tackles over the last few years because he's a soft touch.

27 Oct 2015 18:05:42
It's hardly a bandwagon just someone throws a hissy fit on tele at being subbed and then this it just seems there's a real lack of discipline at Celtic right now someone needs to nip this in the bud as it doesn't give the club a good image plus as you say its ammunition for the rags and the zombies!

It was a open media day y would they not comment on the story?1 player lashes out at another of course they going to write about it! but am sure it happens all the time at all clubs but usually not reported on as its kept in doors just unfortunate there was a audience for it.

I bet Aberdeen will be hoping that Hearts give us a hard physical game and take it to extra time as they have a free week before coming to Paradise.
Delia has chopped and changed team all season but this is one game that maybe resting some players like Johansen and Lustig is the right way to go.
If Cole is fit give him a run out even for last 30 minutes replacing Ciftci and keep Griffiths fresh for Aberdeen and Molde games.
This is also ideal game to give Bailley a run out but will Delia be brave enough?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 Oct 2015 10:37:07
You seem to be suggesting Aberdeen is a bigger game than the Hearts one. Not for me, the league is won if we beat Aberdeen or not. This is probably our hardest possible test if we want to win the league cup.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Oct 2015 11:32:33
With all the recent debate and disappointment over our European failings, it's a great opportunity for the manager and team to test themselves against our two main rivals in two separate trophy targets.
Two victories will not define the season, but it will boost confidence and settle the nerves before the Europa ties.
If we fail to win either ( or God forbid both) then the knives will be out for sure.

With every passing manager, there seem a shorter time span until the main stream Scottish media and posters on Celtic forums give the Celtic manager to they speak of him getting the sack. There has been hardly a week since Deila arrived that the media and some of our more negative posters have been trying to undermine Deila, it can't have been easy for him . The fat boy at Govan got years without been pressurised .

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Oct 2015 15:59:04
Old boy ronny put himself under pressure from the the start by putting a team out with tactics that got humped by legia Warsaw who were nothing more than decent and remember we were the seeded team. Then after a reprieve he balls it up at home to Maribor when all we required was a goalless draw. Our Europa league campaign was hardly great but some regard getting beaten narrowly by inter milans worst team in decades as a good effort. Move on to this season and you have Malmö and molde why shouldn't he be questioned.
As for the fat boy from govan aren't you glad he wasn't hounded out the job as he was sh. te?

Agree1 Disagree2

27 Oct 2015 17:33:54
Jim1972 Some posters here made it known they weren't happy with Deila from his first week, they seemed to have been in a race against the main stream media . No matter how bad his results were early on they beat WGS early results . Given time WGS got many good results and good seasons .

Agree2 Disagree2

27 Oct 2015 19:35:33
People really need to stop comparing Ronny to former managers as Ronny is in a unique position as being the manager with no rangers in the league. We can only judge him on Europe and to me he's failed and saying give him time is a big gamble. You mention strachan yes artmedia was atrocious but he recovered and won the league from rangers that season then the following season took us to the last 16 of the champions league that is learning, do you think Ronny is learning? I'll tell you 100% NO from me.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - A unique position he shares with Neil Lennon.}

27 Oct 2015 20:18:39
Sorry I should have said he's unique as he's the manager in his 2nd season season who's still never played a league match against rangers☺️.

27 Oct 2015 21:59:36
Jim1972, it's not Deila's fault he has never managed Celtic against Rangers, the beauty is he will never .
I think on reflection MO'N WGS and N L's performances as managers of Celtic should be viewed as better than maybe we thought four or five years ago, as not only had Rangers the help from referees, the Rangers at that time cheated financially to a high level.

Been reading comments about europe and the greed for cash we apparently can't afford to lose we are still winning trophies every year i thought that's what football was all about how can fans slate players who don't want to win trophies but want to go somewhere for more cash examples being players leaving for mid table teams in epl when it seems some fans would give up the trophies for 6 pumpings in europe n a bagful of cash every season. I would ditch the tv money when did football stop being about winning and being the best?
