Loved Brendan's reply jfp1888, u can see the pride he has in managing Celtic and it clearly is a perfect fit for us and for brendan.
He is a quality manager, clearly learned from his 'ego' issues at Liverpool n the players work their balls off for him, that's what I want, the players n manager giving their all for the club, along with the fans.
Celtic r a unique football club n it's different from any other football team, n every trophy we win I celebrate like I did the 1st one I saw, or at least remember vividly, which is 87/ 88/ 89.
Hail hail the celts r here.

Fingers crossed we get Armstrong - who I thought was man of the match again today - on a new long contract, and hopefully, we can sign Roberts. Would put the cherry on the cherry on the cherry on the cherry!

Have to admit had a tear in the eye also but just at the final whistle, it was just the realisation of what had been achieved, everything has just came together at the right time here the squad the manager and the board have all been tremendous and how fitting that it should happen on the 50th anniversary of the lions, was especially happy for broony, seen him singing this land is your land at the end too๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ชโœŒ๏ธ.

Interviews and coverage on sly never ceases to annoy the life out of me . Biased interviews and opinions non stop! Alex McLeish is a total waloper of a man . From the reporter licking his ar$e " you were the last man to do a treble in Scotland " to McLeish comments of how the competition not being as strong this season as too when he did it! Then straight to a comment about how we got beat off the red imps! This in same week he suggested Celtic should be handicapped for the sake ok Scottish football? Stop worrying about Celtic you bell end and start worrying about HMRC looking for the ebt money you owe!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - The game's on BBC too so hopefully everyone shuns Sly and tunes into the other side to hit Sly's viewing figures.}

{Ed007's Note - Yeah I don't mind him either. Any time I've seen or read him he comes across well and seems pretty fair in giving his opinions.}

Spot on ed. Don't always agree with him but always seems to be his truthful unbiased opinion.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 May 2017 12:31:52
I just read the article on slys website with Charlie Nicholas about the current Celtic team and their achievements and how they compare with the lions. I 100% agree with him when he says they are nowhere the lions. That goes without saying. He then says the current crop isn't as good even as o'Niells side which I would have to agree with also. But I do think o'Neills side was much more experienced and I think if this current team could be kept together for a few years and add a few key players along the way I would have no doubt this team will exceed martins in terms of quality and entertainment.
Nicholas then went on to talk about the age old question of how Celtic would do down south and he pretty much just pi**ed all over Celtic stating we would struggle and be way down bottom half. Never did he mention Celtic are lucky to spend ยฃ5m a season while clubs down south can spend ยฃ100m on a player if they want because they have ยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃ handed to them by foreign billionaires and sky tv money. Nicholas should know better but to me he's an arrogant tw*t and a sky tv yes man who's just as bad as any of them other English pundits that blow up the epl better than it actually is. Maybe he never watch the 2 man city games earlier in the season or noticed how shi*te English teams have been in the CL for a number of years now. He never gives Celtic the credit deserved or stands up for Celtic in the English media like the likes of Sutton/ hartson/ Lennon do. Fair enough it's his opinion but he clearly spends too much time with his English sly mates who have lead him astray from his roots somewhat.
I also read van hooidonks interview and he said he thinks this Celtic side could be good enough to win the Europa league and I 100% agree with him. There's no reason this team couldn't and if we were pitted against Ajax or even this current man utd in the final the other night I wouldn't be running scared. Maybe finishing 3rd in the groups next year could be the start of another epic journey. CL last 16 or road to a Europa league final?
Thoughts?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

27 May 2017 12:52:49
Let's be honest, Nicholas is a bellend. He is a galactic rubbish talker. This is is a day for making history. Forget about him.

Agree4 Disagree1

27 May 2017 13:30:49
Charlie Nicholas talks out of his arse, and what he says is purely to placate his English buddies around him. He's a complete knob and tries to sound like an authority in anything he opens his mouth about.
Regarding that Europa League Final, I can't recall seeing a team in a big final play in such an inept manner as Ajax - they seemed unbothered, like they had run out of ideas within minutes and their passing generally and final ball was abysmal. I really hoped they would win so we could get them in the group stages. Mind you, I'm hardly scared of United - 31% possession apparently. It was an awful game between two appalling teams. All this crap about the EPL being so bloody brilliant is exactly that.

I think we'll do it because of the mental strength BR has instilled in the team. But here's my but-anything can happen in a one off game and the treble hasn't only been done three times for no reason. c'mon Celtic make history again! HH โ˜˜๏ธ.

Looking forward to game today have great faith that the Bhoys will deliver and give us invincible domestic sweep. I can see 3-1 being realistic, but gut instinct is saying 5-1 genuinely believe these lads haven't anywhere hit their full potential. Would like to see us get a taster of the next level they have for next season.

Anyways on another note, popped over to the tribute acts site to see their next season's ambitions. Not normally one to mention it but heard all the slander of brother Pedro when he was smiling at the end of the old firm, he wasn't fit to be one of them. Can see them being up in arms when their "5 new" Portuguese and mexican players come on to the park and bless themselves can't see it going down well at Mordor. In their head will be part of the conspiracy a to destroy them haha.

Feels good to be a Celtic supporter.

Hail hail and all the best today!

What's funnier is the guff they are spouting/ believing they are about to spend 3.12 million on this guy pena? Loans to see out the season? But money to burn in transfers fees and they lap it up ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ so just where is the ffp rules being applied? A hope the team require the money up front ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ.

Griffiths or Dembele? I actually think the last game against them shows exactly what Griffiths does and doesn't bring. Great ball in for first goal, nutmeg in build up to second and then scored the third from 25 yards. However, after that 11 minute spell we were pinned back for the much of the rest of the game. The only time that's happened to us this season against a Scottish side. Tne of the main reasons for that was Griffith's inability to hold the ball up. Personally I would rather we controlled the game in their half today and not have it going from end to end like a Basketball game. For that reason, as well him being our topscorer, I'd start Dembele if he's fully fit. He loves Hampden too, was ripping Rangers apart that day before his injury and scored in 2 previous visits.

Dembele's better. I'd start him. Still love the Griffth tho.
