Correct me if I'm wrong but commons' contract expires at the end of this month? Anyone know or heard of him getting offered a new deal

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Celtic had a years option, which under Lennon they were going to trigger, they even mentioned the notion of a longer one in the future. Mouyokolo's contract was up in a couple of days so I don't know if he has returned.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's very frustrating that nothing has come out of the club in the way of contract extensions or signing targets
It is blatantly obvious that we need to hit the ground running and the current squad (minus Samaras this time) was lucky to qualify for the CL last season.
There were worrying signs last year the way the club was heading in view of top players not being comparably replaced and now we have the added factor of an untried management team who don't know the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Buying players in, by an untried Management team that doesn't know the existing squad, doesn't necessary mean we have a better chance of qualifying . The untried management team must get to know the squad first before they bring anyone new in . Otherwise its a recipe for disaster .

I posted a while ago I thought Kris might not suit the way RD sets his team up, fast attacking and hunting the ball when we lose it. He might have to up his game energy wise, can he do it?

ED007 also thought he might be off along with Mulgrew. Not the fastest players we have.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think it would be one of our wisest moves, getting rid of our player of the season and highest scorer, as well as our consistent Charlie Mulgrew would be a step in the right direction. I would at least wait until I would see replacements doing a better job.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with GJ - you are only as good as your next game, it doesn't matter what Commons done last year, he has to do what the NEW manager wants. Just because he scored 30 goals in Scotland doesn't make him a good player. I haven't been able to make up my mind about him since he arrived from Derby. He certainly needs to be much fitter, and doesn't suit a 433! I wouldn't be that bothered if he left, even for free - it's about how the team as a whole unit progress, if he would ruin the balance/dynamic then I wouldn't play him. Regarding Mulgrew, his best position is a sweeper/left sided centre back(preferably in a back 3) but I wouldn't have him near the midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can anyone judge how good anyone will be in their next game .
Surely even fortune tellers would have difficulty telling that . Didn't England bring a FT to a World Cup once but to no avail . I would rather judge on recent and current form, much more reliable .

Just watching Big Sammy & the wee Jay Beatty watch it folks make your day and proud to be a tim!

Man deserves much credit for this an makes me further sorrow that he was let go, atb jb7

The wee man is brilliant, a lovely kid, and he obviously has lovely family. I like to give out a bit of stick when it's due, and of course I'm proud of my team/background etc, but it's all about respect, and I think it was great to hear Jay's dad talk about the support the family have had over in Lurgan/Northern Ireland from both sides of the community. God, I'd like to think I'm a good person before anything else comes into it. Regarding big Sammy, I think he's one of the good guys, hopefully if he joins Everton he does really well.

Thought I would come over and ask you guys your opinions on where your club is now heading.
It seems you got Delia on the cheap (his salary was only £200k in Norway) I heard he is on £400k plus bonuses, for a so called top club that is penny pinching. Even Ally Mccoist is on double that in a lower league.
What about Snodgrass, your peter lawwell promised you his signature, yet once again another club has gazumped Celtic to his signature.
I can see the icelandic team beating you which would mean NO MONEY from europe this season, all because of a tight fisted board. Thoughts please guys as you know I am right.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes a big club like the new rangers can afford a top class manager like mcoist, while we go for some dumplin, with no tactical awareness, who doesn't give youth a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol be quiet! Lawwell never said a thing about snodgrass so stop fishing and go worry about getting out the championship before another administration!

Agree0 Disagree0

Re clarkston bud, ally Mccoists salary and those before him are the reason your team have been playing in the lower leagues.as for tight fistedness your mob left hundreds of companies out of pocket by not paying bills that,
To me is tight fistedness.so while I'm looking forward to champions league football you just concentrate on the challenge and ramsden cups. You know I'm right.killy

Clarkston has your team paid back the charity money they stole from the ac milan game yet? worry about your own cheatin bunch before commenting on anyone elses

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank you very much Clarkson, it really humbling for Celtic fans to become aware that a Sevco fan who doesn't even know if his team will finish the season, has taken time out from all his own team's troubles to give us the benefit of his great knowledge .

Agree0 Disagree0

Paying over the odds to the going rate. Is that not why your club died and had to become a brand new club with a different name begging for entry into football. Pathetic attempt to wind up supporters of a club which did not die and pretend its history is intact

Agree0 Disagree0

Away back to your cave, and try and think of something sensible to say! You know what they say about supping with the Devil, and needing a long spoon - well that's why you are were you are, and why we are were we are. Also don't be expecting to come straight back up this year - Stubbsy will see to that! He'll be able to get good young kids from down the road/and his pick of ours on loan, and he's got a few quid to spend also, so don't, no actually do hold your breath!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bud,bud buddy bhoy wot can I say it's great to have a club with a history. But u my bhoy are a distant memory to us a bitter wee soul with no sense and no purpose(and no club hee hee) clinging to a memory of society that the modern world has left behind.your only joy know in your bitter little life is the occasional swally and a poke of yer stick at us then to sitand bask in wot you think is reciprocated hatred, unfortunately its only pity and amusement we get from yer lot now. Enjoy yer reply's

Does anyone think a few of those American lads would be worth a Punt? I have been particularly impressed with Besler and Beckermann, and since they play in the MLS they wouldn't cost much. Diskerud and Brooks would also be worth a look. What do you think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think they might well shock the Belgians in the Last 16. I seen last weekend that we're supposedly interested in Diskerud + Brooks, I'd be happy with both. Besler + Zusi both look decent as well, as do Yedlin + Jones. They look a far more well polished team than the English anyway!
