Well i thought that was a horrible performance but I'll take the 3 points all day long hopefully that was just a hangover from the 48 hours from hell here's to 10 in a row hail hail to the Celtic family.

Tears in the eyes stuff after the result tonight, to see the connection between the manager players and supporters after the game really is emotional, and the banner before the game was brilliant, just hope Brendan seen it! we stand behind our leader GBNL 🍀🍀.

Traded immortality for mediocrity.

Island it said 'you traded immortality for mediocrity, never a celt always a fraud' I never seen it myself, but upon seeing the above post I had a look, just saying what every fan is thinking right now, on yersel bhoys well put!

Cheers boys
It’s all over social media last night - I found it after my post, can’t argue with those words.
Time to move on now and get behind the troops for the run in, I’m sure Brendan isn’t worrying too much about us so cheers for the memories onto the next chapter. (And treble, and 10IAR, and CL qualification! )

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 22:04:43
6 points from Rugby park and Swinecastle, last minute goals in each, that's why we're Champions 😁 Huge match on Saturday, win that and the treble treble is well and truly on.

27 Feb 2019 22:43:57
Was just thinking that. Huge results. Could've been down to 4 points, but the leagues done now. 10 games, 8 points, Rangers won't win every game. 8 in a row is in the bag.

27 Feb 2019 21:56:03
Great win today after everything that happened yesterday but I just want to say how disgusted I was watching the game.
To see coins constantly landing around the feet of the Hearts keeper in the second half is totally Pathetic, at least 3 times when the camera zoomed in on him taking a bye kick you could see multiple coins landing on the ground.
How can we criticize fans from other teams when we have a section of our own fans who act in such a pathetic way.
Would these arseholes want someone following them around when they are doing there jobs, Pelting them with coins.

Brilliant result. Players looked happiest I've seen in long time.

For me Boyata was off again. Biton has looked good lately was a bit off it.

Given the circumstances it was an excellent night.

Lawwell looked delighted, no wonder he will get off with any criticism.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 22:46:43
Is simunovic injured again? Ajer did well and adapted after a torrid first 15mins. Bitton has been decent the last 2 games, just struggled with hearts high press, but with 4 centre mids injured I'm glad he's there.

Not great but all about the 3 points. Just relieved - it's hard to take at times.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Any win at Tynecastle's a great result though. That's one of our toughest fixtures out the way and we took the full 3 points, after the last couple of days I'm absolutely delighted with tonight's result.}

27 Feb 2019 21:50:05
Ed007, agree. Always hard and after what's happened and with no CalMac or Ntcham or Rogic (remember him? ) It's a great result. Especially scoring so late. Sweet. HH.

Agree4 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - And KT back.....

27 Feb 2019 21:56:17
I'm ecstatic about that result. After the last couple of days there was no telling what effect it would have on the team, so getting the win at a difficult venue said a lot for the players.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 22:03:12
What a result! Always a hard game and after the last few days that was a good response. one of the hardest games of the season. Onto the other side of edinburgh, win that one and no 1 can stop us. p. s sky pundits raging we got that winner hahaha. up yi!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 22:11:59
When I was younger we would score right at the death in lots of games. Nowadays the blood pressure goes sky high! You could see the passion Lennon still has for the club. The top post about coins. I never seen anyone tossing any and if they did grab the little feckers and give them a boot in the hawmaws and name and shame them.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 22:48:03
Agree Ed, really didn't think we were getting over the line tonight. Anyone know the script with ntcham? Will we ever see him again?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Ntcham's injured but there's no indication of how long he'll be out for.}

27 Feb 2019 21:42:31
Loved the banner. Well said. KT immense tonight and Brown drove the team to victory. Big Ajer is never a CH, school boy stuff to let ball run across him. Fantastic victory and a BIG step to 8. HH.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

27 Feb 2019 21:55:24
KT was well off the pace tonight as was the whole team. Delighted with the 3 points.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 22:05:29
Disagree about Ajer, think he was sold out. Bain had chance to lump ball up park which being 1-0 up against 10 men would have been the thing to do.

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 22:26:55
The ball should have been jumped but anno some o here will disagree but av never been to sure about ajer like boyata there always seems to be a mistake in him.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Ajer's young and still learning, Boyata should have punted it out for a throw in and that would have nipped the situation in the bud.}

27 Feb 2019 22:41:08
Ajer should never been put in that position.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 22:51:05
Lennon made a good comment after the game when asked if he’d make any changes. Thought he was spot on about “bringing pressure on themselves” and “over playing at times” . This isn’t sour grapes but that’s where Rodgers failed for me, not wanting to adjust to certain games/ opponents. GBNL.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 23:09:12
Not one part of that was Ajers fault. Boyata puts the keeper under pressure, who makes a mistake and the continuation puts Ajer under pressure. He is a CB and will be in the future. He’s 20 years old and arguably our best CB bar Benkovic and he’s not even ours.

Lennons comments seem fresh. He reckons we use the ball to much sometimes forgot the actual quote. Too much passing around in the midfield, as he mentioned, one good ball into the box and it resulted in a goal. How many times have we scored crucial goals that way this season?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2019 01:39:22
Boyata has more mistakes in him than Ajer, when he shouldn't as he's a good bit older than Ajer, and i agree with Ed he's still a young boy and like most CBs will get better with age and gametime, also keep in mind he's only been a CB for 2 and a half years, RD signed him when he was a midfielder that could play at CB, so it's going to take time just be patient with the bhoy. Boyata or Bain should have lumped it up the park, you never play a square pass across the front of your goal it invites trouble.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 18:43:10
How can love someone so much one day to way feel about brendon now thanks for everything he did but I hate him for walking out when he could have left with treble treble at end season on good terms and hero and maybe even Chelsea instead of Leicester.

Don’t know what you expected from him really bhoys. He blamed players when things went wrong here and took all the praise when it went good. He left his wife for a employee of the club. Threw his best mate Colin pascoe under a bus to save his own neck. Leaked everything to the press. I have never known a man so up his own arse. Self preservating I honestly think he would drop his own mother for his own glory. Your well shot.

While I think Henderson is a fantastic talent there is no way I would start him tonight at the hate shack, we will have to win the battle tonight to earn the 3pts. We can't afford anyone not turning up tonight that's for sure, having said that we haven't had a result there for a while so maybe we will give them a doing the night. Here's hoping. I can just imagine the the team talk from wee Lenny the night.

Chrisbhoy 100% correct I was behind the goals opposite our own fans and the bile was something to believe pretty hostile at times, I honestly don’t know how I managed to sit tight when that winner went in. I never realised how much they despise Celtic until last night. oldkilly.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 17:04:10
Right. We like to use the term the 'Celtic Family'. Well the fact is a guy has came into our family, our HOUSE, and, despite declaring undying love, has just walked away at quite possibly the worst time. We all thought he was here for the long haul, a lifetime love affair like the rest of us. But that's over.

Lennon had his critics during his tenure at Celtic, lots of it fair, but right now we are lucky to have him. We need to galvanise and unite. We needed someone who knew the club and the way it operates. Someone who can show them the medals, someone who NEVER shirked from any intimidation, a boss who, if you do your job, will have your back. Because your a Celtic player. BR was not Celtic, no player or manager will ever be, WE are Celtic.

The news from yesterday will fire hertz up, and no doubt the officials will seize the chance to stuff one up us. This will be a battle. We know who loves a battle? Whatever eleven starts, and subs if any are used, need to know the support will never leave for a better, bigger, richer club. This is our club and we are Celtic.

Lets get right behind this team till the end of the season, they deserve it for some of the days they have given us. The haters smell blood, let's not help them.

27 Feb 2019 17:51:45
Great post mate.

This is the time for everyone to get behind the team to rally and encourage the bhoys over the coming weeks.

Lots of vocal encouragement in the right manner.

Your last comment. "they deserve it" is absolutely spot on.

Let's give them a huge show of support starting tonight and showing EVERYONE watching what Celtic is all about and means to true fans.

Now that the dust has settled following yesterdays rather surprising news and posters having aired their thoughts and opinions on BR regarding his loyalty to the best job in the world (his words) and being a life long fan of the club it got me thinking of all the other I'm a Celtic fan through and through players over the years Crerand, Nicholas, McClair, Macari, Johnson etc, who were quick to jump ship likeBR. Im of an age were the following players Fernie, Evans, Peacock, Collins, Stein, Provan, McLeod, McAdam, Gemmell, Wallace, McGrain, none of them Celtic minded who gave their all for the club and stayed much longer than the above mentioned. Those are true Celts . oldkilly.

Good shout but Bitton for Henderson sit a little deeper and play precision long balls behind Hearts or into the feet of Eduord coming off the central defender also i might think about Hayes for Sinclair just because he is better tracking back.

Ed do you think john Kennedy was offered a position as well at Leicester but decided to stay?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Yes, him and Stevie Woods both turned Rodgers down.}

27 Feb 2019 14:54:52
Great loyality from them both hopefully some of the players will show the same loyality.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 15:19:42
Thanks ed, good to see integrity is still alive in the modern game. It is not all about lining the pockets CELTIC over £££££S.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It will probably come back up in the summer and they might change their mind which is fair enough or the new manager might want his own assistants and Kennedy finds himself further down the pecking order than he'd like to be.
Woods on the other hand will be safe under a new manager, very few have their own GK coach unless you're like a Klopp or Guardiola level.
For me though I think both will still be here regardless of who the new manager/coach is.}

27 Feb 2019 16:28:34
But that was nice of Brendan leaving us with no backroom staff at all if they had jumped ship like him. well done to Kennedy and woods and think duff could be a good addition he has great experience at the top level and worked with top coaches good luck.

27 Feb 2019 12:17:50
So all the loans in the summer make sense now . Either the board knew he was away and never gave him funds or he didn't wanty sign players on long contracts either way don't let the door hit u on the way out Brendan! 3 1 to the Bhoys tonight Edouard for a double 🍀🍀.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

27 Feb 2019 09:40:01
Heres a thought ed.
If we bring in a bigger name do you think Lennon would hang around as part of the staff?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - That's a tough one but I don't think so, Kev unless there's nothing out there he fancies. I think Lennon sees himself as a manager so would always be looking to be the main man again somewhere. On the other hand he might feel that he's been out there and now he's 'home' he realises being an assistant coach at Celtic is better than facing the way he was treated at Hibs again.
I'd love Lennon to get a coaching role with a top(ish) European boss at the helm but you could probably get Clarke & Lennon together for the wages we were paying Rodgers or a boss from the continent would want.}

27 Feb 2019 13:47:22
I'd love to see that as well ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Fingers crossed then.}

27 Feb 2019 14:47:50
Hi Ed. Did Celtic not look into bringing Clarke in to work with Lennon when he took over from Mowbray?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - We did mate but for years Clarke said he never wanted to return to Scotland. I have my theory/suspicions on why he's boss at Kilmarnock and why he's adamant that he will never manage another Scottish club, the plan being to return to family in England but this isn't the place to speculate about people's private lives but I will say the Clarke has stated on several occasions that there's personal reasons why he is at Kilmarnock.}

27 Feb 2019 11:43:18
I am not a big fan of John Kennedy's coaching abilities, in my eyes he only got job out of sympathy because of his career ending injury.
But he has gone up in my estimation as I heard Rodgers offered to take him with him, but he apparently said "no thanks, I am a Celtic Man" Also got told by my Celtic Pools friend that when Rodgers told players he was leaving, several just walked away in silence but Brown told Rodgers to "take a f''k to himself"
It is all just gossip, we will probably never hear the full story, unless a book comes out in the future.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

27 Feb 2019 11:50:39
How often do you overlook his sessions Tim?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - John Kennedy seems to get the blame for our defensive frailties but he's a coach, not a specific defensive coach and he only does what the manager tells him to - and he can't be that bad if Rodgers wanted to take him to the Pub League - and the players all have massive respect for him and enjoy working with him.
I think Kennedy acts like the buffer between the 'gaffer' (whoever that is) and the players, a role he probably didn't go looking for but was forged while the unapproachable Collins was RD's assistant.
Kennedy is a well respected & highly thought of coach in the game and could easily move into management himself. You don't get to be an assistant coach at Celtic out of any sympathy or sentimentality, he's worked hard to get where he is and climb the ladder at Celtic, remember he was first employed as a scout when he retired which might have been the Club looking after their own but he's earned every job he's done since by sheer hard work and ability.}

27 Feb 2019 12:13:22
Hope broony said exactly that to him.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 12:15:17
I have never really known what Kennedy did under different managers but there are 'Celtic Men' and people posing as Celtic Men and both he and Lennon fall into the former of guys who love this club as much as the support - because they are the support.
Hoping for a great reaction tonight; whether it's anger, nervous energy, determination or just plain professionalism. COYBIG.

Agree3 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 13:41:12
Have got to laugh about all these fans that say I don't rate Kennedy as a coach but have never seen him coach.
Fae the stuff I've heard he's seen as a very good coach by people he's actually worked with.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 16:22:56
@Kev I guess that dig is aimed at me.
No I have not witnessed him take a training session, but most refer to him as a "defensive coach" and I have witnessed many many games in europe and Scotland where our defensive shape has been poor. My opinion, and it is only my opinion, is that Kennedy does not have the experience for that role. He may be a nice guy and may be pals with the players but it is his coaching ability I question. Nothing else.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - But the people referring to him as a "defensive coach" are wrong. Kolo Toure was a defender so why wasn't he the defensive coach? What about when McGrain was here too?}

27 Feb 2019 18:34:47
Aye it was a dig at you and everyone else that keeps saying he's a DEFENSIVE COACH even though that has been proven untrue.
He was just a first team coach, who like the rest of the first team coaches have to carry out the head coaches instructions and tactics.

Is it just me that thinks we need more than a new manager in the summer now? Perfect time to shake the infrastructure up a bit and get in a DoF/ Technical Director? A lot of people seem frustrated that we either need to spend more, or spend what we do more wisely. Personally I think it's a bit of both. To simplify things - at some point, it's PL who signs the cheque (or not) and therefore it's his mind that determines the value of potential targets. Do we need somebody with a footballing brain to bridge the gap between finances and football?

Neil Lennon would walk over broken glass bare footed for celtic for he has a genuine love for the club and the fans . This is a man that has been subject to the worst hate crimes possible for being a Irish catholic and manager of celtic, and still in our hour off need he answers the call from the board and putts his life on the line again for each and every Celtic fan around the world.

Just went to look out my Brendan Rodgers t shirt for tonight's game and guess what? Couldn't find one. That's right bhoys and ghirls, we are not BR fans we are Glasgow Celtic fans. Time to get the tops on with pride and support Lenny and the bhoys starting tonight. Let the huns laugh but think about their worst nightmare. The site of Lenny lifting no10 would be far worse to them than the sight of BR. Make sure you all get the tops on for tonight 🍀💚.

Brendan ended up a bottler he dumped his pants He has had it easy for 2 years and will be Sacked within a year because any competition he is ****ed only time really tested was Europe and made a total James Hunt of that made us a embarrassment in Europe.

Aye we have had no competition domestically and when I said this before I got abuse for it. Last year we would have lost the league. This year too.

Europe was horrendous and the performance way beyond anything to do with financial gaps.

I'm not concerned one bit.

At the start of a new day having awakened repeatedly during the night thinking about our previous manager Mo Ro's BRexit it's time to consign the unprincipled imposters name to history. He doesn't warrant further discussion on these pages and personally I have no interest in what happens in his life or future career or at Leicester. I wish the man no ill will and I'm greatful for what he achieved here. However he has forever tainted his legacy and will never be considered a Celtic legend nor will he ever be welcomed at Celtic Park. I hope the Celtic players who will undoubtedly get the opportunity to play under him in future will remember how he has conducted hiimsf showing both disloyalty and disrespect to the club and fans. I'd also like to think Celtic would not sell a player to any club where he is manager. That's my last post on the sad and sickening affair it's now time to look to the future and get behind Neil Lennon as he attempts to achieve the treble treble.

The players deserve praise for cruising the league considering the terrible injurys we have had this season.
Our fullbacks have been out at the same time, we have had personal and injuries to the centre halves, we have played without a recongnised striker and now we are missing our influencial midfielders.
Celtic we ripping teams apart with McGregor, Rogic and Christie in the midfield and now we are entering a crucial part of the season with all 3 injured at the same time.
Although it is a concern, I am sure we still have enough in reserve to carry on our great run of domestic victories.

Never known and injury list - and length of injury absence, ever before like this at Celtic and now we add a very successful manager jumping-ship in February to complicate the season even more.
Two huge games on the horizon, so no time to sulk or panic; just play the way we can, show the opposition why we are Champions and progress to one of our greatest seasons ever.

The only saving grace in all this according to some fans is the fact that Rodgers doesn't buy good players so cal Mac and KT won't be playing for Leicester next season.

It's our policy that signs garbage not our managers or scouts

Carlton Cole, Dion Dublin, mo Camara, du Wei, brozek, Miku, lassad, gershon, virgo, amido Balde, ciftci, pukki, Berget, braafheid, kaddouri, boerrigter, scepovic

List could go on all night tbh

Rodgers didn't sign any of these. We buy cheap or projects so that's likely to happen.

"He's got a presentation to give to them on Thursday on what he expects from them on and off the pitch. I'm excited about watching that. "

LOL. This is Leicester's first team coach. Is he being sarcastic or straight up? Does BR do a good power point?

Listen if Rodgers left last summer or seen this season out then left he’d have ALWAYS been held in high regard by the fans and Celtic football club. Now I’d say most, certainly the vast majority despise him for not leaving us but leaving us the way he did. To walk out on us with 11 games of the season to go chasing a league and Scottish cup for a treble treble to go to Leicester yes Leicester, not a Man Utd a Man City an Arsenal a chelsea but Leicester who in all honesty will never win hee haw again and most probably be no better than a mid table EPL team most seasons, that’s what sticks in the throat and that’s what has tarnished his reputation with the Celtic support, Rodgers done all that in one full swoop. Yes the double treble the invincible season can’t be denied but will certainly be overshadowed by his decision to desert Celtic at a crucial time of the season. Where’s his loyalty to the Celtic support? Banging on about his “ dream job” banging on about the “EPL”. not being the everything, slaughtering Dembele for his attitude and how he left Celtic and he goes and does what he’s done? He’s finished in the eyes of most Celtic fans and what he’s done will never be forgiven or forgotten!

Couldn't have put it better myself, he's definitely blackened his name. I don't know how I'll feel once the dust has settled but I do know how I feel right now and it ain't good, he's ruined his legacy in my eyes, I can't remember feeling this way about a manager. Even the managers most would consider sh! te, at least they gave their all.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2019 07:46:17
my thoughts exactly. Had he finished the job and then left, he would have left a hero. and with all the best wishes for success from all the fans here.
Now he is pretty much despised and that hatred will deepen when he takes the backroom staff and then comes back in the summer to steal our top talent (lets see what kind of balls Mr PL has then)
If an interim manager is good enough for us and Leicester really wanted BR, they could have filled the spot on a temporary basis.
It won't happen but, I would now like to see Leicester relegated and let BR sink into the Championship like Aston Villa, Leeds Utd etc.
