There seems to be much rejoicing in the state of sevconia regarding some financial issue pertaining to Celtic. Apparently we have a debt outstanding to the co-op bank, at a very low interest rate, and some of the peepul are determined to 'expose' this.

This nonsense is from the same clowns who seem to think one of two things. Number one: We actually went into administration when Fergus arrived, cue the Pacific Shelf uninformed argument.Number two: they went into administration but walked away without any liquidation, a liquidation that is actually still happening!

growing up in this country I was always aware of it's Presbyterian and anti Irish/Catholic background. Now however the media up here have moved things to another level.By continuing to treat these daywalkers as the same club they are complicit in continuing the lie lives on. Even though they ALL said that the club had died when the admin started. It really is starting to look like some giant Derren Brown spectacular, hypnotise thousands of people into believing total garbage! I wonder if they will wake up before the next share issue? let's hope not eh.

{Ed007's Note - This story is coming from the same people, I use that term loosely, who thought Ed001 and myself were behind the Sons of Struth campaign in a cunning plan to split their fans. That shows the intelligence of who we're dealing with here GJ. Ed001 is a LFC fan and has no inclination to anything Scottish, least of all our football.
We all know the (S)truth, don't go in a rowing boat with someone that wants your job.}

They really are a laughable bunch ED. Mrs Jhedi, who works in high and investment finance, said Celtic would get good interest because of cash reserves and value of the Club etc. It seems this is very common in business when dealing with deals into the Millions.These half wits seem to think it's like getting a bank loan, here's the interest figures take it or leave it!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Suddenly they are all financial experts, sadly it's a few years too late for them.}

@1 great comment Ed. they are so desperate to bring all clubs down to their level. Even now they are leaning towards accepting another admin to clear the debts as it seems to make little difference to the history, name etc. and perpetuated by msm. One thing they (msm and the knuckledraggers who call themselves supporters) are consistent in is that they do not let facts get in the way of a good bit of scandalmongering.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is an unfortunate by-product of a rotting, festering death; that the stench lingers on long after the carcass has decomposed.

@gj these clowns will do anything to try and make our two clubs simialar when they are nothing at all alike let's face it won is alive and the other is dead let these flesh eaters and blood suckers think what they like rangers now rangers then rangers no more

An interesting post from the dark side pertaining to clubs deliberately going bust and then "purchasing" their history!

"1.) Op Is that what you lot did in 95 when the company started by wee fergus picked up your mob on the cheap?

JG"

Sorry to repost on here ed as this person seems to be a protected species with his utter tripe he is peddling on their site and cannot be challenged in anyway by their eds posting responses!
I remember when this tool came on here and you gave him one hell of a skelping! Lol keep up the great work ed007 :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Ask any The Rangers/Sevco/Newclub fans why, when McCann bought CFC, or the Thompson's bought Dundee Utd, the Glazers bought Man Utd, Abramovich bought Chelsea, even after the messy court battle over Liverpool....Did any of those clubs need to re-apply to join their league set up?
Why didn't they need to re-apply when David Murray took over in the 80's, or even when Craig Whyte took over and unfurled the league flag, their last ever trophy?
How many players walked away from those listed club's for free because the club changed owners?
As for cheap, McCann and his partners spent a lot more than the one single scabby £ that Whyte paid for that shower of muck. I can't recall us having to re-apply to the league and losing a load of players for free when Fergus sold up either.
Don't argue with idiots mate, they will only drag you down to their level and beat you with their experience. Console them, we ALL know they are hurting.}

Ed as always a great response! You just sum it up so well! But why are we not able to debate these sort of garbage on their site? I am sure you have no problem letting them respond to anything that is posted, why do they seem so hell bent on distorting the truth and allowing these blatant lies on their forum? As I have said before, you run a great forum ed and we are lucky to have you!can you get an answer for their eds why they always allow idiots such as JG to peddle arrogant keek?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I take nothing at all to do with their site, it's funny enough reading it without having to edit or run it! The argument will just go back and forth, we know we're right, they know we're right but can't bring themselves to admit it, at least publicly.
I'll put it this way, they denied there was any trouble behind the scenes even when Hugh Adam sold his shares and warned them in 2002, administration wouldn't happen, there was no tax cases, liquidation wouldn't happen etc etc
You need to realise that we aren't dealing with rational intelligent people here. I get the odd pathetic troll but mostly they avoid posting on here. 99% of the time they resort to type, laughing about child abuse, after they get a skelping on here.}

Just posted something similar myself. I would not worry about this JG guy, I actually think he is a plant as he cannot bring himself to criticize anything sevco. Might he be fat derek? ED's right, forget this journey single fish, they are starting to slowly realise they are years away from getting to where they think they should be. Pacific Shelf? As Mrs E might say. OOOFT!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed007, not forgetting that all creditors were paid in full, including paying off the old directors like the Whites and Kellys (who had got the Club into its financial state in the first place). Plus he built a 60, 00-seater stadium with his own money. Compare that to what the parcel of rogues in Govan have done since they took over.

You are right ED, this guy is just a clown, he stay's in Angola, so he will put a lot into the sevco coffer's eh, not.
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, do you Eds not have any kind of debate between you on the various subjects. It would be interesting to see the take on the new club but old history topic by the other eds.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Believe it or not we very rarely talk about football unless it is to pass on any information we have. The English Eds have no real interest in Scottish football so it never really gets spoke about.}

"Parcel of Rogues" love it, will do for the more formal occasion where the colloquial "shower" is less appropriate. Thank you. pea

First time posted. Love the site. We are often very critical of how Mr Lawell runs the club but I think he is right the way he is handling the Samaras & Ledley contracts, we can't and shouldn't be breaking the wage structure to keep these guys. 1 good season out of 4 is not good enough from Samaras anyway and ledley has been a great servant but not irreplaceable. Guys like Lambert, Larsson real world class players are irreplaceable.

Hi ed. How is everybody? Hope everyone had a good Christmas. What striker do you think we will bring in?HH bigirishmac

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - All good this end BIM, I hope you and the family had a nice Christmas. I don't see us signing a striker in January unless there are departures. In January Holmbert Fridjonsson is eligible to play, Bangura is due back and reports suggest Tony Watt will be returning, add that in the mix with Stokes, Pukki and Balde and we are strong numbers wise if not in quality.}

ED007: On the Holmbert thing mate, a guy at the game was saying he has really impressed everyone in training and will start V the jags or at least be on the bench. You heard any reports?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - There's certainly very high hopes for him, even look at who done marketing and advertising in the run up to Christmas. I was talking to one of the young players on Christmas Day and according to him he is the real deal. I don't know about starting against Partick but I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench and come on, if anything it will give the place a lift to see a fresh face and give the lad a hopefully comfortable debut.}

ED007: Thanks mate.I did notice his PR assault and thought it strange to put him up for this stuff. Fingers crossed this is the one we have been looking for. At the moment we have no one attacking crosses into the box.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - This is without doubt the poorest strike-force I have seen at CP in many years.}

ED007: Really? I give you two words. Jim Melrose! A Celtic striker who scored for us and gave it the get it up you to the fans! jeeze my spine shivers just saying his name.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You're showing your age there (again), I can only vaguely remember him.}

ED007: Enough all ready about age please! Now that I have officially retired (early before you start mate!) I see me as an elder statesman. On Melrose or Plumrose as he was christened by the Jungle, your lucky you never seen him!

Another more recent was Andy Payton. always threatened to light a fire but never managed it

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Payton, Biggins and Cascarino were awful, but has Pukki or Bangura shown anything to warrant not being classed the same? Congratulations on your retirement btw.}

Green jhedi,, was it not Melrose who told / advised celtic about hooper?,,

Agree0 Disagree0

ED007: Thanks mate, what a bleedin hassle it became because unlike the sevconians I pay my taxes!

You are sadly right about the comparisons though. A mate said the same about Pukki, another Payton. Oh for another Nicholas!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Nicholas was my first real CFC 'hero' when I was a young pup, he is one of the best strikers ever to play for us. If he had chose Liverpool instead of Arsenal he would get a lot more credit than he does outside the game. I'd have hated seeing him at Anfield right enough.}

I was around 9 when Payton was at CP but I seem to remember him scoring some goals in a lot worse team than we have now, too young to remember his all round game and I'll take your word for it that he was awful but he scored more than pukki has anyway! L1888

Agree0 Disagree0

ED007: Charlie was the real deal. I always said he should have stayed for another season and went to Liverpool.Sadly Charlie liked being a playboy and if you are a playboy where do you head?

Incidentally I saved Charlie from a sore face in the Penthouse (one for the kids there folks) after he had been a touch too frisky with a girl I knew. Problem was her boyfriend was a psycho from Cumbernauld who was determined to do him!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've heard a few stories about his scrapes in night-clubs, I doubt he has changed.}

He was a bit naughty after a drink Ed. I had mates from Maryhill who knew him well and was in his company plenty and he was alright, the drink gave him 'daftboayitis'. Ah, the good old days.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I know someone who flew up to Glasgow with him a few months back (did he do any Sly work for our CL games?) and Charlie was half-canned on the champers before they even boarded the plane. I don't think they ever change, my nephew has been playing in goals for the Legends in the charity games and he says McAvennie is still all over any women hanging about, or vice-versa whatever way you look at it.}

I was out in Ashton lane a while back and Macca was hanging around there with assorted females. I found it a touch sad tbh, they were hardly the Jenny Blyths of his youth, but seemed to be rather enamoured with Frankie boy!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I can imagine.}

After 7 years LOYAL service your asked to take a pay cut? If it was me I think it would affect my work also. I would feel betrayed! If sammy gets what he is owed I think we would see him back at his best. But the fickleness of the fans seems to be as bad as the penny pinching of the board. I would be gutted to see him leave. I'll support any celtic player through thick and thin, the good and the bad.

Ledley is a good player and I will be sad to see him go also. but I think we have enough in that area of the park already, and I think the bhoy belongs in the EPL. I prefer mulgrew there anyway, (second fav after sammy).

I can't believe some people are calling for lenny's head. i'm just glad the board does'nt give a hoot about our opinions because if they did we might end up with another tony mowbray that could give sevco
the chance to get a footing in the spl.

Hope sammy signs his extension as over the course of his contract i'd say he deserves it. not been great this season but that's what happens when your employer tries to screw you. and sells the people that really help you with your job. and replaces them with what is the footballing equivilent of cowboy builders. Because they are cheaper.

Hail Hail DarrenBhoy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Most of your points I agree with apart from samaras.if any employee only showed ther best 6 times a yr every yr they would be sacked. to be offered a contract at all shows total loyalty to him. Ledley isn't worth the £30k pw that he seems to be after, I would stick with nl. ajw

Agree0 Disagree0

Sammi built a reputation on the back of a game at the dust bowl, scoring two goals. After the match the phrase 'unplayable' was used by many, including Lenny.

I recently watched this game and he actually done very little other than two good runs which led to a goal and a penalty. For the first Ledley spots and plays a terrific through ball for him to really stretch onto leaving three defenders dead. The second he is helped by some stupid defending by the rangers player, who concedes a penalty. He ain't all that mate.

Even his scoring run in Europe had slices of luck all over it.He just does not do enough

Agree0 Disagree0

I take it you only watch Samaras 3 or 4 games a season? The guy has seriously under performed for the vast majority of his (Celtic) career and my catchphrase has become 'Everything breaks down at Samaras' due to the amount of time he loses the ball, falls on his jacksie or fails to see the obvious pass and tries to shoot or dribble.
If he was any good he would A) be at a top European club or B) be on a monster contract at Celtic.
I'm not fickle - I've never liked him.

JJ

DarrenBhoy no 1 is sayin they wouldn't back sammy if did end up saying but the point a think everyone is makin is that we don't want him stayng. there's a difference between that and not giving a player backing. The guys had his time and offers basically nothin in the terms of teamwork he pops up once in a blue moon and suddenly people think he's amazing again. Sure am not the only 1 who's never been convinced by him and every fan has ther own right of oppinion. You will always have something 2 say about any fan who doesn't agree wae your oppinion

Does anyone think that stevie may would be with buying

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Is he any better than what we have. Congrats to Tony Watt on bagging 2 goals. Keep your but down bhoy! At least one celtic striker is scoring.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it would be a good bit of business. He looks to have bags of potential and noised up our defence for 90 minutes.
