honestly i don't think we should go back to europe with that group we'll just get more humiliation our way............Ed? {Ed007's Note - If we are given a reprieve the club needs to take the opportunity if given. Only today Fenerbache asked the Turkish FA to relegate them and the association refused. It would be silly of CFC to reject qualification and could probably land us in trouble with UEFA if we even tried to.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

As Ed007 says, we cannot turn down offer of a reprieve, money wise alone it is worth £4m+ plus extra co efficient points, which Celtic and Scotland badly need. Also funny thing about Celtic when we are written off, that is usually when we come good, and come on 3 top european clubs coming to Celtic Park, bring it on. hail hail Timalloy

i think the board are doing a rotten job at backing neil they have gave him no cash to spend on players what if we get back into europe they not going to give him money to spend i think neil is fantastic and hes a fan but i think the board are waiting on him lossing a few more games so they can sack him and bring in some one with more experience and this is my opinion

I dont know about anyone else but me personaly i dont i dont want any favours from uefa on the europa fiasco,its embarrasing enough just now without lodging a complaint.Lets not get kidded on here this should not swept under the carpet whats happened with us and its not just this week either,theve been ripping the crap out us for the last 3 years now and still deadly silence from those running our club,its a disgrace and us all should do something about this and not sit back and take it

Believable5 Unbelievable5

I don't like saying but you're right.it's daft what's going on just now,rangers are going through a transitional stage just now,we have quite a settled team but are seriously needing qaulity experienced players in key areas cb/striker.there's alotta chat today about sally selling but I have horrible feeling that it's US that's going to be selling.....

Hey Ed007, just a thought, why dont we have a
"WEE PAT TRIBUTE NIGHT" when all our posts must be in the style of our beloved pat. Ha ha just want to see Ed007 trying to decypher them all.
Post agree for YES and disagree no hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - No chance! I'm booking a day off if that happens and let one of the English Eds sort through it!!}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Ha ha I was actually going to post why dont you take a "sickie" and give it to an ed you dont like Timalloy {Ed007's Note - The English Eds all asked me if we could understand Pats blog about meeting the Pitts, Ed002 is actually from the USA, she thought it was in some strange foreign language!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed007 I have lived in Glasgow all my life and can understand most of it, but the genius of wee pat is to write it as you would speak it. Do not underestimate the wee man, he is VERY, VERY, CLEVER Hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I have no doubt of the wee mans intellect, Tim.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey Ed007 going back to tales of the jungle and today's Boney M, on 21 may 1979, Celtic played Rangers at Celtic Park in a title decider, we went 0-1 down and then were down to 10 men (usual scottish ref helping rangers) well we won the game 4-2 to take the title and the jungle sang a song I will always remember to a Boney M tune it went
"10 men won the league, tra la la la
10 men won the league."
The next season the referees were angry with us for some reason (cant think why) and we had 4 or 5 players sent off in a short space of time, but we still won the league and the jungle then came out with
"We only need 10 men, we only need 10 men" hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - My older cousin has told me about that game a few times. 11 years ago today was the 6-2 game, I must be getting old myself now ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Roast chicken dinner and a pint of john smiths ed. That's me, need a lie down. Lol. Poor show eh.
Since I've read wee pats posts, I've been going round talking to the mrs like an oor wullie reject. Lol. Any excuse mate, and I'll be right in. KB no Cyril I D.
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - ONE PINT???? KB mate Wee Pats budgie could drink you under the table ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

On tablets ed, dont ask.
Can I ask, from last night when I was saying about working down by Ibrox. I've got it in my head that there was a small Celtic club or pub with a tricolour, about 3/4 of a mile down the road from the stadium ? Is that right, or is it my memory ? I know it seems a daft shout, mebbe it was a union jack. but the place was encased in protective wire mesh. this was about 6 or 7 yrs ago mind. Now I'm not wanting to start any trouble here ed, just was in my mind.
The Real KB, no CID {Ed007's Note - I don't know the Govan/Ibrox area that well KB, I tend to 'get out of Dodge' ASAP after games but I'm sure someone will know. Don't worry mate, you aren't starting anything, it is a genuine question.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Probly Paisley Rd West ed. No bother.
It was a great laugh that wkend. Me and my mate went into town after work and were in this fancy bar, all lit up in blue neon. Stood at the bar, suits on and that, like crockett and tibbs. These lasses sat looking at us. Suddenly they started laughing madly. I was para, had to walk off. Little did I know, my mate had an itchy a**e. He only stuck his hand doon the back of his kecks and let's just say the ring finger is aptly named ed. Lol. Mind u, he is a Man U*d chancer, so what can you expect eh.
The Real KB no CID {Ed007's Note - Don't be coming up here slagging Utd!! That is the mating signal down there anyway, it worked for me a few times lol}

Agree0 Disagree0

. Well let's agree that the missing link between Pat's monkeys and human kind is no so far where the U*d punters are concerned.
Anyway ed, am off to join the 21st century again and try to stream our match. I might risk another can. If I don't return in a day or two, you can presume I've passed into a drink / antibiotics mixed coma. tell them to send c******e a**m to talk me back to consciousness.
Lol. The Real KB no CID {Ed007's Note - If we can find a set of wooden teeth for him, no probs KB, take care mate. I still think I should have got an agents fee for CAs move, I kept him in the spotlight for months!!}

Agree0 Disagree0

KB, the only real Celtic bar on Paisley Road West was the Wallace Bar, one of the Celtic supporters buses left from there, my uncle took me to the games after my dad's illness, but he liked his pint, so all us boys were left outside the pub with our cans of coke and packets of crisps, it was always raining and the supporters bus was always late. Sadly Wallace bar is closed now, it kept getting its windows put in, hence the wire mesh on the windows. The wee ants (st Anthony's) club was also near Ipox at the Broomloan road end. Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Just remembered another big Celtic "enclave" near ipox was Teucharhill (known locally as wine alley )
There was a big Celtic pub there, it changed its name a couple of times, cannot remember its name, but because of where it was so near ipox, the locals were die hard Celtic fans, and would fly the tricolour etc from the pub. lets just say it was not the kind of pub to visit if you were a stranger to the area. Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ta Timalloy. I think maybe the Wallace Bar. It was on the right as you walked down Paisley Rd W, back towards the city centre. But the sight of it just struck me, its location and that. Must have been some place to get a pint that. Was it open on Rangers match days and Old Firm games ?
The Real KB no CID (I'm gonna keep saying that til wee pat says otherwise)

Agree0 Disagree0

KB, yes it was open all the time until about 4 years ago. As I said, I used to get on the supporters bus round the corner in Stanley St/Middlesex Street cannot remember which street so long ago. If you know Paisley road west there are about 7 pubs or more dotted along it going to Ibrox, couple say they are neutral but are not and then 2 or 3 are bitter gers pubs (stowed on orange walk days) Just at Paisley Rd Toll, there is a pub the Angel (honest) and it is bitter, bitter gers with union flags draped outside.( how ironic is that with it's name) Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers. I don't care what anyone says, going to an Old Firm match day has to be one of those things to do before you die. Mind you, I think I'd take on the role of innocent bystander

Ed007, on Liverpool site KB is asking if C.....e A..m sister was good looking, I wil let you or our fellow bhoys answer that one. (apparently there is some sort of song out, but ME? I would not know ha ha Timalloy {Ed007's Note - He better not be spreading malicious gossip about me on there ;-) I have been winding the LFC fans up for months on their page and the Utd one about C*****e A**m, he knows it is all just fun though, here is the song:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1R8DiVB0-A

Agree0 Disagree0

KB, yes atmosphere particularly at Celtic Park ( well I WOULD say that ) is fantastic. For a neutral get to the ground at least an hour before kick off and savour the atmosphere. What I cannot understand is Barca - Real derbies both grounds hold 80,000+ yet only 1000 or so visiting fans allowed in, its the two sets of fans that give the atmosphere. Timalloy

Hi Ed jim here my first post,it would seem to me that we have a board akin to the eera of the kelly's and are back with the biscuit tin mentallity and we waited on sion playing inelligable players in the hope that uefa would boot them out rather than spendingmoney and progressing on our own merit.lets face it, it wouldn't have taken much to beat sion a new cb and someone to replace that lump of wood samaras {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site Jim.}

Morning all. just popping on before a trip to the ale house for a couple.
Alright wee pat. No you don't know me mate, but dont worry there lad, I'm not one of the boys in blue.
Mind you pat, I hope you don't take offence when I say this. but your current stash of fibreglass coos, vauxhall corsa alloys and squad of red a**e monkeys (if you haven't already dropped them off in the trossachs as I suggested) is a bit..err..eclectic shall we say. Varied, if you've not got a thesaurus to hand.
I mean, far from me to cast dispersions on your grafting abilities, but your stash is no exactly Ronnie Biggs wee man, know what I'm trying to say.
But on second thoughts,that little lot woulda been enuf to earn you a 3 stretch if you'da picked it up in Hackney High Street a week or two back. So, all in all, mebbes your'e not doing so bad.
So hands across the border wee pat. The initials are KB, no CID.
All the best.

Pat is this what you were thinking of?

By the rivers of Barrowland, we sat down
Ye eah, we wept when we remembered Sion
When the wicked, beat us away
Requiring from us a song
Now how shall we sing the Celtic song in a strange land
Let the words of our mouths and the goodness in our hearts
Be acceptable to UEFA on Tuesday
By the rivers of Barrowland
There we sat down (you hear the Celtic cry)
Ye eah, we wept (we need our God)
When we remember Sion.
With apologies to Boney M fans hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Good one Tim :-)

Good afternoon ed,

Happy Bhoy this morning, with izzy, brown n mulgrew all signing new contracts and am sure kayal will follow close behind, my opinion I like brown, mulgrew fills alot of positions and is good at the dead ball plus getting the odd header, and izzy speaks for itself took every award going last year.

And looks like we could be getting a half decent striker so big sammy doesn't pull on the shirt again, he just hasn't done enough to stay at Celtic. £2 million could be a good bit of business I think the guys young as far as am aware.

Also read the piece in the paper about two of the heads in Europe condemning the actions of sion and look set to cone down hard, read up on the rule which was mentioned and in lamens terms it says if a player field unregistered players during a game then the automatic forfeit is a 3-0 lose with them field 5 of them then am sure this will not be over seen, so basically if I read this right Celtic will win 6-0 in aggregate as both fixtures will be forfeited, on top of that Celtic will receive all the riches from qualification and will just act as if they are the team who went through, and will slot into the group I which I think is sions group no redraw will be done as if they would have needed to do that then a decision would have been made before the draw.

Not the best way to get through but am happy to be there tbh, anyone who says they aren't are off there rocker, is European football.

Cumby Bhoy {Ed007's Note - I agree Cumby, not the way I wanted to qualify, but if they have broke the rules they should be punished accordingly, and the money will come in handy.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Afternoon Ed007, Cumby Bhoy. Is anyone else concerned about both Platini and Inocenti? (head of uefa) have both aired their views before hearing on tuesday. They are building Celtic's hopes up and as you know UEFA have not been kind to Celtic in the past (Rapid and Atletico Madrid) I wont count any chickens until tuesday. hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - The thing is Tim, if they don't do anything it could open the floodgates to all sorts of problems for themselves.}

Just wondering why you are not allowing any of my posts
Initially you allowed them but the last 5/6 you have not allowed...any reason?

uefa are an embarrasment for not sorting this out before. im afraid the board will use the uncertainty as a smokescreen and then after tuesday pretend theyre doing something only to say they ran out of time.
