watched Dortmond tonite and my thoughts were like ourselves that they lose players then replace with lesser standard which they have got away with for a couple of years but that policy has now caught up with them. Also find the cl becoming a joke with the same teams qualifying year after year and still unbelievable that both poor teams man city and Liverpool can still qualify having only won one match each. I know it is a league format but I hope with the new seeding system next year we might see a few new clubs qualify as the tournament needs to be refreshed.

Or have it that calling it the champions league actually means what it says and the domestic champions of every league get straight into the group stage instead of having 2 play 3 qualifiers if we are from a lesser standard league yet 4th in england/spain 3rd in italy go straight into the play offs. It's a disgrace but money talks yet again

67 unsure why its just Liverpool and Man City have been picked out but they aren't the only teams to have won only one match, there's also Malmo, Ludogorets, Benfica, Anderlecht, Roma, CSKA, Schalke, Ath Bilbao and Bate. Then you have Galatasaray, Ajax, Apoel and Maribor who haven't won any.

This happens every year and isn't new.

Agree with Gunnie and it should be 'Champions' but don't see how that would improve on teams only winning one match. I'd like to see this as the money would gradually see teams outwith the BIG leagues improve.

Big JG has scored around 10 already. I was just thinking that he hasn't scored with his head yet. We better get him signed up before he starts rattling them in with the napper. And sign Anya to supply some service from the left for him. Markie

Hi ed I was just reading a statement from Stewart Regan, in it he says we gave Ashley the ability to have up to 10%
Shareholding in the club with a commitment there would be no management or influence in the club.As far as I can see he has been hiring and firing since he made the loans to them surely he must act on this as it's the reversal of the agreement.I would appreciate your thoughts on this .killy.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Stewart Regan should be sacked for gross incompetence and so far I think Mike Ashley is doing a great job.}

There will always be rules for the team for Govan that will be different from the rest of Scotland .

Agree0 Disagree0

The whole SFA needs a total clear out. What chance has the youth of today got progressing when you have someone called Neil Doncaster in charge? This man is in charge of the scottish game, yet was hounded out by norwich city supporters for incompetencies!

Every club in scotland has been failed by SFA over years. Dealings with TV Rights is a major chip on my shoulder. I've said before SFA should of enforced their own TV subscription channel, thus cutting out SKY TV and reducing their monolpy on the game.

Think about all the expats abroad wanting to watch their team and struggling to find a venue.there is a massive market

Agree0 Disagree0

@DN the SFA have nothing to do with domestic tv rights its the SPFL. The SFA only deal with international rights.

Ed you said a few weeks ago that a loan signing could sign anytime if there's an agreed fee included in the deal. so could we sign gudetti now?. and if so why didn't we get the ball rolling earlier before other clubs where interested? Thanx

{Ed007's Note - I'd say we could sign Guidetti just now with the way people at the club are talking. I don't think you can fault the club over the timing of this.}

Ed there's some stuff on some, as you put it, "whoremongering" websites about us having an offer for JG which breaks the wage structure. A) Do you know if this is true? B) Where do you think the individual stands? Noticed him flirting with Marseille in the press and did not say that he dedinitely wants to stay with Celtic.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - It's called 'hit-whoring' (rofl) I don't know what kind of money we'll offer Guidetti but he's only on circa £10k just now and with what he himself has said he doesn't seem to be money driven. I think we have as much a chance of signing him as anyone else. Probably more considering he is already here, the players and manager can be talking to him about staying, he's getting to know the club and the fans, he knows he will be THE man here rather than sitting on the bench somewhere getting £50k a week and he needs to be playing games to stay in the international picture. After his time out with his illness he wants to make up for lost time, playing regularly for a club like CFC will appeal to him after seeing how well Larsson done here.
Marseille are interested in him but will he be their No.1 choice striker?}

Corrected again cheers pal. Well L'OM only signed Batshuayi in the summer and he's a similar age/pedigree and then they have Gignac and Ayew so can't see him being no1 there no, and you're right, he would be the man here. Even conceding that we might be a stepping stone, we're a damn good one to play regularly in Europe and raise you're goalscoring profile at home. Not to mention a huge fantastic club. let's just hope he prefers Glasgae to the south of France. Or anywhere else for that matter.

There will rumours of Guidetti signing for us.
There will be rumours of Guidetti signing for some other club .

The only thing we can be sure of, is that some day one of the rumours is right

Agree0 Disagree0

I have it on good authority from backroom staff that Guidetti is 'on a fortune' and will be taking a pay cut to sign for us if he does. He is on as much as £35k at Man City as are a lot of their top youth products.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - That's complete twaddle. Guidetti was signed by Sven Goran Eriksson and before the Abu Dhabi United Group's take over, he's still under the terms of his first professional contract which was signed long before Man City had the money they have now. There is no way they were paying that money back then and to be honest there's no way they are paying that to youth players even now. Google Andreas Christensen to put things into a bit of perspective.}

Is Gignac not out of contract at the end of season and touting for a move and that's the reason they want Guidetti?

The media always like to put a spin on things just to sell papers. You never know what to believe

Agree0 Disagree0

I've mentioned Christensen and other Chelsea youth products, Brown, Traore et al, before regarding the topic of wages. Even the other big hitters in the BPL are bamboozled at the money Chelsea are paying people nowhere near the first team so I would seriously doubt Guidetti is on 35k a week with City given as Ed says, he's still on his firat pro contract. That said. I think he's worth that money all day long given the market now.
