I'll try and post this on both sites .

Any chance we can get the "seat counting" rules established before the season starts? Is it
-numbers in ground?
-season ticket numbers included whether present or not?
-freebies included?
-include debenture holders?
-income generated?
-day of the week?
-kick off time?
-other needed expenditure in current economic situation?
(this list is not exhaustive)

or can the babies let the forum talk fitba'?

Paddy Malarkey {Ed007's Note - Oh ffs please can we leave THAT alone, I was that bored with that I had to take on a 2nd girlfriend to pass the time while the wife was at work and my PA, at that time, was too busy!! She was a great PA too, I miss her a lot of the times, she done some fantastic research and fact-finding for me.}

To echo the ed's comment, what does it matter. We're the champions of Scotland whilst ure concerned about a fabricated attendance at a 3rd tier team.
End of day, Celtic will have the highest ave att next season as well as most cash at turnstile. Bigger pix, best performing side in Scotland again!stevo dundee

Agree0 Disagree0

Why post this on here Paddy? We had more season tickets sold, a bigger average attendance and made more money. Although to be fair they did okay for a new club just starting out. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 correction 4th tier team, they are 3rd tier now.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest Paddy, nobody from the Celtic side of the devide give a monkeys. this argument was mainly brought on by sevvies desperate to cling on to past glories. I take my hat off to a newly formed club attracting crowds of 40 000+, but as they say, A fool and his money are soon parted

BigRab

Agree0 Disagree0

@GJ

Because the dross was just as prevalent here as it was over there and is basically the "ma Da;s bigger than your Da" argument . At Firhill, we look across from the JH stand to thousand of empty seats in the main stand but nobody ever seems to want to count them .You can do it for us when you visit if you would be so kind .

Paddy Malarkey

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 not our fault your fans aren't loyal. Kinda feel sorry for you celtic are keeping your club alive with the money they pay them when the rugby team left your stadium our younger boys play there now.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ Paddy Malarkey: that's true.I would hope the Jags don't have too many empty seats as I have always had a soft spot for them, I have caught a few games over the last few seasons, and it's good to have you back. We need a REAL derby in Glasgow!. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

@6

The reason the seats are empty is because we don't normally use them due to safety certificate issues-it's an old building .Our fans are as loyal as any and probably dafter . We also give under-16's a free season ticket (ask your board why you don't). We will be occupying those seats when you visit so you count the empty seats on our side and I'll count the empty seats on yours.

A tape always pops up when somebody needs an excuse to exit Ibrox. First Green, then Ahmad now (as stated on here weeks ago) one would pop up to enable Stockbridge to walk. Before official accounts. SFA conveniently assisting with that accounts extension. Jabba and KJ doing the necessary, trying to put out a shock to help the process. Who next? Mathers? He is a temporary CEO. He is a Green, Ahmad, Stockbridge crony. The agenda is to have Martin Bain, WS, Jabba, mcCoist, Alastair Johnston and Dave King as Directors with £175m debt conveniently left behind and a big FU to the taxpayer and anyone else. Probably bring back SDM as emeritus chairman for life. Craig Whyte being lined up as CEO post Mathers?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Their club goes bankrupt owing 276 creditors up to £176m and liquidated and they claim its the same club and same history with the brand new sevco founded 2012.
The NS report and recent forensic denial of Whyte report are both toilet paper.
Pat Nevin? and Graham Spiers have stated they don't recognise it as the old RFC. I'm with them, so are millions of others, the vast majority of Scots. We ARE the people. Only a minority of Scots who support The New Rangers believe the crap its the same club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Green owns the old RFC in liquidation, and therefore the £170m debt there.

Remember he told the world he bought all Craig Whyte's shares for £1 and gave him another £1 profit (100%). In his own words on television.

He thereafter offered a CVA to creditors that was pitiful and destined to fail.

Does anyone know where HMRC are with their upper tier tax tribunal regarding the £48m EBTs? They were given approval to appeal.

Just seen a clip of Neil Lennon on SLY Spots and he says a move to Southampton would be good at this stage of his career - on confirming the offer of £12m was accepted for Victor Wanyama. I know the Chairman was on Sevco TV news earlier stating we would listen to serious offers, but why is the focus now on getting Wanyama out the door ASAP?
I would have thought we were in a much better position contractually to keep Wanyama and sell for more?
Lennon stated in the above interview that Hooper was leaving with the squad for Germany and he hoped to re-open talks to keep him etc; but I was of a mind that Gary Hooper would be off before Wanyama simply because Hooper has never stated an intent to stay.
Is it Wanyama's agents that are fuelling this or do Celtic think Wanyama is surplus to requirement?

Footnote: The interview was at Glasgow Airport in front of the Celtic Shop, but the camera panned over to a new shop opening today with 'Rangers 1872' on the sign; Is it an antique shop?
Or does British Airways do Time Travel.

Jungle Jim

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think Lenny was just being honest. It is pretty obvious Big Vic will leave and he might have a replacement earmarked.Hooper is a different case.I posted the other day that if he won't sign again he should not start ahead of any other player we have. let's send a message, if you don't commit you don't play. Not harsh or unfair, just looking after the guys who have pledged to us.green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

I've always said Hooper will stay. Even at the worst looking moments. We shall see.
Striker Miku was stated to be worth 12million euros when we got him on loan for a year. He couldn't displace Hooper, yes a Celtic legend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have said on here before would love Hooper to stay and form a strike partnership with Balde. Goals galore. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

He's definetly not surplus to requirements, but when a decent offer comes in it has to be looked at.
All Celtic have done is accept it because its good value and move on, try and find another or use somebody else in the squad for that roll in the team.
I'm hoping we can use some of the money to keep Hooper but that's also doubtfull but not as far fetched as Wanyama wanting out!

When vw goes the total amount should be used to please the fans with 2 good signings.a creative midfielder and a proven goal scorer we deserve it. keep the hooper money in the bank give fans what they want for a season at least.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

For god sake, no it doesn't we have creative midfielders out the wazoo, commons, rogic Sammy (when he can be arses), broonie creates a fair amount aswell. We should sign one more player a left sided defender that can attack if he needs to, and keep the rest in the bank to make sure our club lives forever. It's not just players that money keeps in jobs.

Darrenbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Not had a creative midfielder since nakamura, commons better playing of the cf. mulgrew, izzie, plenty of cover for lb and if hoops goes we def need a cf.12m for players and wages 4m for hoops in the bank good day at the office.

sevco being given until 31st july to submit accounts for last season special dispensation due to internal investigation delaying audit accounts

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Unbelievable.
The independent ahem external investigators have nothing to do with the preparation of accounts.
These late accounts will probably show ST sales which shouldn't be there. Will the accounts be for the trading period up to 31st March? Or 31st July?
Regan has been an abject failure at the SFA regarding SEVCO. He has been weak and he has broken SFA regulations to help them. He should be replaced by a non partisan individual of high integrity. Integrity is everything.

Agree0 Disagree0

John O'Neill is the perfect man. But he'd need a lot of pushing to go near the SFA.

It isn't the fact that they tried to do a deal with one of interpol's must wanted that is annoying some over on trfc page but that fact that it was leaked!.TTTS

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They should ask Hugh Heffner for sponsorship.Between the amount of fa**ies and their directors playboy lifestyles it's a perfect fit. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahmad already received £5.5m from the Indonesian character. That's the D&P selling price to Green/ Ahmad. The SFA must act decisively. Waddell in the DR is demanding Regan and SFA come down hard on all this. Any denial that Whyte and his sevco5088 were not involved in the purchase of D&Ps selling of the old RFC assets is outright fantasy and criminal lies.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely D&P clearly didn't do their due dilligence properly on where Green/ Ahmad got their £5.5m funding?
Surely AIM stock exchange and BDO need to forensically investigate where these funds came from. Was it the £5.5m Ahmad clearly stated he received from the interpol's most wanted £600m guy as Stockbridge references him? (All of course allegedly in the DR).
If the old RFC assets were purchased using the proceeds of crime, the deal must be unwound by BDO.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why isn't the fraud squad all over this? Making arrests.
Has Whytes arrest warrant from inverness been executed? Or is he abroad evading arrest?

There's £124m of tax and debt unpaid, 276 creditors including the taxpayer shafted and £47m in EBTs not refunded to HMRC.

And the assets which should have gone to creditors look to now have been sold for £5.5m dirty money out of Indonesia.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rafat Rizvi is reported to be a British Pakistani, same as Imran Ahmad?
It's the Indonesians who have prosecuted him in abstentia and put out the Interpol arrest warrant.
He has business links to Stockbridge and Ahmad and jointly owned a company with Green.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2013 17:00:06
Jabbas former colleague at the DR, KJ has an enlightening taped story on the DR website, .
Something about the £5.5m to buy The assets of dead RFC coming from Indonesian bank fraud and an Interpol red alert most wanted crook.
Weren't we told by Green his money was from an Indonesian who used two names?
The whole deal has Whyte on tape all through it. Did whytey leak it to Jabba? It's all clearly designed to smear/ get rid of Stockbridge.

This part is brilliant:
""Ahmad later predicts - accurately, as it turned out - that Green will not last a year in the role of chief executive.

He says: "Charles will f*** himself. He won't be able to help himself. He'll be like a kid in a candy shop. He'll get absolutely burnt alive there."

The group then go on to discuss cashing in on the club's best players - citing the sale of Nikica Jelavic to Everton for £5million.

Whyte claims he had little choice but to cash in on the Croat.

He says: "The problem with Jelavic was, everybody was annoyed that we sold him but he basically refused to play. He downed tools."

Whyte adds of Gers manager Ally McCoist: "McCoist said, 'Just sell him'. McCoist is useless. McCoist is f****** useless. """

Except Green wasn't 'burnt alive' as the media were complacent and in his pocket.

funny how sevco announce friendly with Bristol city then a week later foster is released by city to sign for sevco seems a bit suspect

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Any paper trail money changing hands says his one year contract was bought out surely? Even if its the proceeds from a match.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry just spotted another comment on Bristol City rumours site:

"Apparently Richard Foster has moved to Rangers in exchange for us keeping the reciepts for this friendly?"

Is bartering not the same as paying? Rangers have refused to take a fee or share of ticket money and in return have a player released from his contract to sign as a FREE. That is the same as paying. It's bad enough when they cheat sneakily, but when the do it so flagrantly.same old Gers!

Don't get me started on this "trialist" fiasco!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2013 13:35:39
Serious question, Ed .(your counterpart doesn't seem to like talking to me!).
If players RIFC sign must be free agents and can only be registered after the transfer window has closed, does this mean that they can't play until January 2014 unless as trialists?

Paddy Malarkey {Ed007's Note - Hi Paddy. As free agents they can register and play legally and full-time on 1st September but a newly amended rule allows 2 un-named (unregistered) players for any given match in the lower leagues (pre-September.).
Basically they can play two new signings per league match until the 1st of September.
All 5 (so far) signings will be able to play in a maximum of 3 league matches before their embargo is over.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why do they have to be free agents? Only because sevco are skint?

Because SEVCO can give players money to buy out their own contracts if needs be. Then join SEVCO. {Ed007's Note - If they are not free agents then they can't be registered during the normal window. Only free agents can be registered out-with the windows.}}

I hear some fans asking why are people so down on McFadden, here is a true story.
(ED007 I will not go into too much detail for obvious reasons)
About 8/9 years ago I worked in a big hotel near the BBC, McFadden had his wedding there, as you can imagine it was a lavish affair, so much so that our James told all us hotel "plebs" just HOW much it cost him as he covered all tabs. He told us everything including how much money was put behind bar for drinks, he had a beautiful 3 tier wedding cake and he regailed us again with the cost of this great designer cake ("thousands")
Him and one of his Everton buddies James Beattie annoyed some other hotel guests and just laughed it off.
Enter wee James's mammy, who promptly told him off and made him apologise. Timalloy
Ps I can 100% verify all of above and more.
with name of hotel and of the designer cake as the hotel staff "babysat" the remaining 2 tiers until a relative picked it up 5 days later (he had forgotten to arrange it being picked up) {Ed007's Note - I was at that wedding Tim, James and Gillian were married in one of my local chapels in Hamilton. The one I actually went to the primary school of. I still don't want McFadden near our club/team.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Although I get the point that he seemed like a bit of an eejit I don't understand why this story should have anything to do with people not wanting him to sign for us. Surely we should judge him on his playing ability? I would have him as a squad player no problem. We have all heard stories about professional players but as long as they do the business in the hoops I don't care

Agree0 Disagree0

This shines some light on things. We all can be twits when we are young. that's twits but forgiving as I am I don't like big time charlies shouting their gubs off about how clever wealthy they are. I see Eds position much more clearly now. Sopotcelt. {Ed007's Note - There is a high percentage of players who are total twats. Phil Neville is always apologising for his brother Gary's behaviour after a few beers have been passed around. It's more for footballing reasons I don't want McFadden to sign, I would much rather see the money invested elsewhere and any game time he would be given, be given to one of our youth players. Why have young players like McGeouch being hindered by the signing of players like McFadden.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha. hilarious. Mammy knows best!
But sadly it appears to be the norm for these young guys with bags of cash.
And for the record. l don't want him coming to us either. Nothing to do with the above story, I just think he's rubbish!

Hail Hail

Young Dylan deserves his chance that's for sure. Sopotcelt.

Hi Ed. How you keeping? I can't wait for new season. Got 2 good looking signings in and a good draw in the champions league. Bigirishmac {Ed007's Note - I'm doing not bad thanks BIM, hopefully got another op in 6ish weeks, I hope you are well mate. We have got out the traps early for a change this summer and it looks like the club are taking the challenge of making the CL groups seriously, rather than a 'wait and see' than it has looked at times.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jun 2013 12:56:53
I look at my various inboxes every day on t'interweb. To date there have been no friend requests or "how are you" remarks sent to me from any of the players at Celtic. How can this be because I follow their every move every day? Isn't that what this great bond is all about? We hang out together and care about each other?
But then I got a spark of genius. these guys are just employees of Celtic. Some of them like it more than others and, like any place of work, some try harder than others. The bottom line is they get well paid for doing their job and for most of them it is a means to an end. They probably respect their fans too but ultimately they only care about themselves. Just like the rest of us if the truth be told.
So from now on I'm going to take less interest in who comes in and who goes out and just concentrate on supporting my team. I'll become less involved (EMOTIONALLY) with the goings on at Paradise and I'll concentrate on my own life exclusively and show no more interest in the Hoops.
And then I had a spark of reality. you just can't do that when you're a Celtic fan. It is an all-consuming passage through life, and do you know something? I wouldn't change it for the world!

Chris, there's someone in my work totally caught up in twitter world (they are not a Celtic fan). They tweet players on a daily basis, welcome to the Club think you will be a great addition or tells them how good a game they had etc. I don't know if its my age but I'm wary lol

I've taken to Instagram where I can just look at photos (maybe a woman thing)

Players will come and go, gone are the days where they stay for years. I know what you mean though, I will be sorry to see the likes Wanyama go.

I think with some footballers it is more than just a job but if anyone was offered a job with a lot more money, really most would take it. Particularly when you have to retire in your 30's.

The internet is a great place for getting information but you will know that has player has signed for Celtic when Celtic have it on their website.

With the talk of Agents yesterday, they also have a control of the media as well. You should read this article by Gary Neville about agents where he talks about the media :-

bit disappointed that Cliftonville have not moved the CL tie to a bigger ground, would loved to have went over for the game and a bit of banter with the Belfast CSC guys, would have been a big moneyspinner for them as well, although don't disagree with them looking after their own fans first, but these games don't come along too often, also ridiculous that Eufa still not confirmed dates for both ties.Eddiek88

The only other area could host this game would be Windsor park. yes bigger stadium by about 9,000 more but would cliftonville and celtic be welcome in that area? definatley not and look at the time of the ties aswel if first one gets moved to 16/17th tensions are already high in most parts. good move cliftonville keep it at solitude. brilliant stadium to visit

I see Craig Gordon is fit and training under his Scotland goalkeeping coach Jim Stewart at Minty Park to get his fitness up, obviously he is well out of Sevco's wage bracket, but with big Herman making noises about a EPL return to get in the Engerland squad and Lukas Zaluska not good enough to be our No 1 keeper, I think a fully fit Craig Gordon would be a great signing for Celtic, better option than Shay Given to me, what do yous think? Drewzybhoy .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Shay is nearing the end of his best days. Lucas isney good enough. If FF goes give the Swedish guy a chance. Why else we sign him? Sopotcelt.

He would have a lot to prove fitness wise but a fit Gordon would be a great signing. Been out along time though. Also still sticks in my throat when he came up for a corner at CP to try and stop us winning league.
