Morning Eds don't know how true this is but read a we report that sevco contacted Steve Clark for managers post and he knocked them back have u heard anything about that?

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - That was a few weeks ago but yes it happened.}

27 Apr 2018 11:15:32
BBC are reporting that if stevie wants it it's his with talk from rangers fans he will be backed with money and Mc Allister coming in too seems to me they are desperate any young. Coach will do cause why not.

Rich T unless they want to give Gerrard £15mill plus they will still be behind us next season. Massive gamble as he has no experience. The worry for me is what's happening at Celtic. 9 draws so far this season. We have only won 2 more games than Rangers and Aberdeen so we need to improve our form. I think the players have at times got a wee bit sloppy like last week at Hibs so we need to cut that out our game. So Gerrard coming to Ibrox may just give the Board a wee wake up call and allow Brendan to buy some better players. Ed said that he has made the Board aware our team needs a revamp so let's get Gerrard in and we kick on again. There is no title going south of the river any time soon.

Just picked up my ticket there. Section 412, £46 for restricted view! Man this better be worth it. Am sure it will be 🍀.

Is all chat on the boy from Lens Duverne dead? If I remember correctly he wanted to stay another season at Lens. Considering he is a CB that can play RB could solve a few problems. Is there any signs we are still keeping tabs on him?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I've not heard anything recently but he will be leaving Lens this summer as he's entering the last year of his deal.}

27 Apr 2018 15:59:20
He seemed to be hot property last summer but Lens are really struggling in Ligue 2 which would suggest he’s not been at it this season.

With the pfa poty award shortlist just being published and our own awards the other night I am amazed that one player who seems to be so under rated, even by our own fans at times, never gets quoted. Callum McGregor has been consistent across many positions this season and has scored some wonderful and important goals. I have been really impressed with him this season but he seems to be missed when award season is underway.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I'd have had McGregor well in front of Forrest. It's unbelievable that Forrest has got in there with a good first half of the season - how can a Celtic winger that hasn't scored a league goal this year be up for POTY?}

26 Apr 2018 17:36:23
I think a lot of the Forrest hype has come from the performance against Bayern tbh. He had a good run at the end of last year but he’s been off it recently.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2018 17:45:31
I have to agree. Bar Brown, McGregor has impressed me the most this season. Like you say DD played several roles this season and has been consistently one of our better players. Sorry, but I have no idea how Forrest is on the list.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I said at the start of the season after his European performances that I was going to lay off Forrest this season but he's had a very poor second half of the season and is back to the Forrest we've seen every year.
Scott Sinclair gets pelters for his poor form but Forrest must be up there alongside him for his form since the turn of the year.}

26 Apr 2018 17:47:52
I agree he has done very little since his hat-trick against Thistle in the cup - when that should have given him a real boost for the run-in - but could he have been nominated around that time as I have a feeling the nominations are made several weeks ago?
Nonetheless, it's great to have two in contention and Broony more than deserves it - like he did last season and was strangely ommitted.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2018 19:48:55
Only two players who have been consistent all season are broony and Tiereny. Calmac has had his moments but i don't think he's been anywhere near consistent enough, on par with Forrest this season. We really need paddy signed this summer, I hope he starts getting a game now and Forrest has been off the boil for weeks now.

Agree3 Disagree0

26 Apr 2018 20:32:40
The dip in form from Forrest seemed to coincide with Patrick Roberts and Hayes getting injured.
It seems to me that if Forrest thinks his place is under threat he ups his game, but when he knows his position is safe he gets lazy.

26 Apr 2018 21:54:50
I hope McGregor is rewarded with a long term deal it would be well deserved. I think he can become one our most important players over the next couple of seasons.

26 Apr 2018 22:13:18
Can't disagree with that gerry. Maybe sinclair could do with serious competition too, he's not got the same swagger about him even though his stats are good. Hopefully he gets it back soon, with masunda and Morgan breathing down his neck that might do the trick.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Apr 2018 00:01:47
I can't figure McGregor for player of the year but he has come to the fore in a major way. Great to see he is admired. Definitely played well in key games for us this year so if that's a criterion I think its a fair call.

26 Apr 2018 12:14:07
Alright Eds how are use guys? With the game on Sunday I think he will go with a back four. Even if Lustig is in fit cause we are. It the same with three especially when teams come at us I. e Hibs what do use guys think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Look what happened to Roma the other night with 3 at the back, constantly being caught out with long diagonal balls in behind the wing-backs. I can never understand why managers persevere with it when it's so easy to counter if you have speedy wide players.}

26 Apr 2018 15:23:27
Defo has to be back 4 is there any news on the squad in guards to Lustig and Dembele Ed?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Lustig seemingly has a broken toe so is a major doubt but Dembele should be fine.}

26 Apr 2018 16:17:52
Good news for Dembele not so good for Lustig. Do we know what was wrong with Dembele?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think it was a slight ankle knock.}

26 Apr 2018 18:02:06
Well here's hoping they are both fit. With the end of season coming what positions should we be shopping for? CH GK LB RW and maybe ST.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'd be happy with that.}

26 Apr 2018 22:14:46
Someone has posted these positions as the ones needed nearly every day since February if repetition means it's right, we must be right about these position
If I may add my tuppence worth we need a good strong centre midfield . Kouassi doesn't seem to fit, that leaves us with Brown Ntcham Armstrong . Rogic and Mc Gregor are more attacking .
On Sunday Ntcham took some heavy tackles In the first half and I wasn't surprised that he was replaced at half time . Armstrong was injured and B R had to put McGregor into centre midfield . Brown and Mc G were completely over run in the second half and our back 3 just couldn't handle the pressure . If midfield had dominated I wonder how well or how badly our goalie and back 3 would have played . It was tough watching but at the same time Hibs just managed 2 goals and so it looked worse than it was .
However. I want another centre midfielder.

Ed, have you heard anything about Musonda leaving? He's deleted anything Celtic related from his Instagram account, which I believe he's done for other teams in the past when he has spat the dummy. Maybe looking too much into it, but rumours are doing the rounds on social media.

If so it's a real shame, I was extremely excited when we signed him as I thought he could genuinely add something that little bit different.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - What's instagram? When has Musonda 'spat the dummy' before?}

26 Apr 2018 11:26:22
Hi Ed

Is there any true that Gerrard is close to being appointed manager by the huns. He is a celtic supporter.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I've already answered this elsewhere.}

26 Apr 2018 11:34:38
Not sure if Gerrard is going to them or not but what has it got to do with it who he supports?

Agree0 Disagree2

26 Apr 2018 15:26:27
I heard from a sevco fan he says that stevie g and Neil Warnock are going to pair up as Neil number 1 and Stevie as number two.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - No.1 and a No.2 - that's pish and $hit together then? How funny would it be if they hired a manager who's nickname - it's an anagram of his name - is Colin Wanker?}

26 Apr 2018 18:28:26
Thought Gerrard was an Everton fan? Anyway; as a practicing catholic, he will be as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit, by the bigot faction.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Not that it matters but I don't think Gerrard is a Catholic, there's something in his book about how he ended up at a Catholic school because it had a better sports department or program, something like that.}

26 Apr 2018 18:32:25
Ed, apparently Nike have taken control over his social media accounts, so they took anything to do with New Balance off lol panic over nothing!

The spitting the dummy out reference, was due to him deleting most of the Chelsea players/ staff when he came to us on loan.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm sure it's his family or someone on the payroll that runs his social media accounts.}

26 Apr 2018 19:25:19
Kris Commons as his Number two Ed 😝.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - :-D

26 Apr 2018 22:21:36
How would deleting Chelsea players when coming here for 18 mths be spitting out the dummy .
I will judge him on minutes played, goals scored and goals assisted, I think social media will remain social media and not a source of malicious rumour .
If any idiot thinks that the Celtic club would allow a worthwhile rumour about a players unrest to surface 100 hrs before Rangers 2012 match
Believe you me there are one or two at least at Celtic who have a brain.

On FF they are claiming that Stevie G’s dad was the top man at a Liverpool Orange Lodge. For some on there that’s enough. I rubbish you not. :)

It pretty obvious we need to step up our game from sat defeat by hibs.
I do think the sevco players will come out with more fight than the last game so I think patience might required.
With lustig possibly being out I'm not overly enthused with the prospect of 3 at the back but mid to front we should be to strong.
I would go with Roberts. he must be bursting for a start as I also think Forrest has dipped a bit.

They will be snarling and flying in. If anybody thinks they won’t, is seriously misjudging the situation they are in.

This could and hopefully will add to their undoing. They will expend energy too fast and to maintain that will be beyond them. They seem to think that fighting is the key as if our players can’t fight. They can and they fecking better. Then use our superior ability to beat them.

They have a chance, let’s not kid ourselves, with Lustig bring out our defence will be weaker than it usually is and I am fearful of Hendry being in there as I don’t rate him. They will have watched that shambolicly weak defensive performance against Hibs. Don’t get me wrong Hibs are a better team, but, it will still give them hope. And I know, even if you don’t admit it, to get behind the team, that everyone knows the defence is the only chance they have. Gordon’s kick outs are pathetic, dangerous and not worth the risk.

I expect a battle. I expect us to score a few, I also expect either Boyata, Hendry or Gordon making an arse of a few situations with unforced errors. You can take that to the bank

Be prepared to fight for our shirt as hard, if not harder than them. If they want to play football great, if they want a battle, then let’s set about them from the off.

3.1.

It's obvious they will be fired-up and foaming at the mouth for a variety of reasons and it's paramount we start well, play to our strengths and forget any recent complacency or over-confidence.
The forward players have to push home every advantage and opportunity as we certainly have shown weakness at the back in games and total concentration and commitment is the least that will be required.

Wouldn't it be great for Rangers 2012 if Mr King was able to attend on Sunday . He seems to only go to Chelsea and Liverpool games.
