Do you know what baffles me, we win 5-0 and yet there's "fans" still complaining.

You are over the previous result then with us beating the team currently bottom of a poor league having won only 1 game out of 12 and had 26 goals put past them? i'm happy with the three points, of course, but this result was expected. We are the best of a bad lot in Scotland but we have shown our limitations against mediocre teams in Europe (Molde, Malmo - we should be able to beat them)

Well put tiny Tim! Couldn't agree more mate!

Tiny, we did beat Malmo, we might still beat Molde, you don't win every game. That's football and life. I for one recognise why RD was brought in. In time, and with a bit patience, we'll develop players twice as good as some of the shite brought in.

RD is the man-then?

Not long back from game, some good performances albeit against a poor United team. Young Tierney looks the part, also thought GMS and Armstrong had decent games, as did Commons.
But surprise, surprise Ambrose still had his bombscare moments, even against such poor opposition, get rid now. How Delia turned down £2m in summer for him is crime of the century.
Johansen Ok, but if he is carrying a back injury, why play him, give him a rest, Delia sees him in training every day so must know of his injury as even the player himself has admitted it.
Two tough games coming up against Hearts and Aberdeen, but if we win both our confidence should be high for Molde return.
What I want against Molde is for us to set down a marker about how we CAN play. Sounds daft but I want us to come out on top of head to head so 3-0 minimum I want at Celtic Park. At least that would offset the poor display in Norway.

It depends what teams Ronnie picks, why would I not be surprised if he picks three completely different teams for the next three matches.

Agree window; it's fine shuffling the middle to front - depending on the opponents, but rearranging your back four every single week is why we are so bad defensively.
Especially when it is very obvious who the culprits are that should be nowhere near the defence.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Oct 2015 10:50:44
Agree with what you're saying. Problem is I don't know if we have a four to be relied on mid-long term. RD is clearly still trying to figure it out too.

Great to get back to winning ways, only one big plus was Tierney, well deserved MOM award, some of the rest GMS, Effe, and 2 subs Cifici and McGregor showed at what level they can maybe perform at, should not even be in the First Team squad.

25 Oct 2015 17:08:34
I think it points out the big big gulf between SPL and even Europa League. How can the performances be so dramatically different? Are players freezing on big nights or are we coming up against managers that are better tactically than we are? Great to get the 3 points and I guarantee we will get another 3 next week. Then comes Molde! Will we get 3 points off them?

Agree6 Disagree0

25 Oct 2015 21:50:37
To answer your 3 questions -
1. Poor opposition today.
2. Not freezing not good enough), better tactics.
3. No.

We are a big fish in a tiny wee pond and that seems to suit a variety of people like a few fans, players and directors. The small club mentality in Europe has been forced upon us by constantly replacing our better players with inferior and failing to attract and employ a top manager.

Wonder why he dropped bitton! Surly it had to be johanson getting benched! Rd team selections always baffle me! Time to walk.

Got a knock in Molde game.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2015 17:26:15
Walking away? Says it all really. Why we are discussing a manager who won the double is top of the league. Still in Europe with regards to replacing him is for me a concerted campaign by Sevco MSM to unsettle RD for every single thing he does. Always been in a crisis according to them. We just need to stick together instead of waiting to jump on the bandwagon as soon as. RD is what we have and for me is doing a great job under the constraints. Don't have any interest in winning the league by 50 points. RD s way allows more players to get more games than we used to ever via rotation. Our defence is unsettled but I am sure Simunovic will settle Boyata down and allow him to play as Boyata isn't a leader and has been lost since Virgil left. I also think we will qualify from our Europa group.

Agree1 Disagree4

25 Oct 2015 17:29:05
He rested Bitton as he has had a heavy schedule internationally travelling etc straight back to league and Europe duty. Why are you so negative using negative terms like dropped. Think for yourself what team do you support.

Agree1 Disagree2

25 Oct 2015 19:13:29
Kwaj. I don't think we will qualify form our Europa league group. Big ask now. Let's see. If we don't qualify then RD has to go. We can't afford financially to fail to qualify for CL next season and if he fails in Europe again then his time is up. If we drop out of Europa we need to allow a new manager time to settle into the job. We can't sit here and take another gamble on Ronnie making it if he continues to lose in Europe. We have not won in our last 8 European games. If that was in the league he would have gone but because we come out and beat the likes of United 5-0 it papers over the cracks and he gets another month. You mention we are top of the league. This is the league that no team besides Rangers and Celtic have qualified for a European competition in 5 years! Why wouldn't we be top?

Agree2 Disagree1

26 Oct 2015 02:36:42
Fair enough Johnnymac however I attribute the absence of any Scottish clubs in Europe as a direct result of Celtic and Rangers previous suffocation of Scottish game. Our league and teams are devoid of any cash to allow them to make any real impact and give it a crack in Europe now they have more opportunity, the irony. Reality is the type of players we can attract now are up and coming. Also any player that improves or has a good season or 2 is gone. This is the reality. We need to understand that we are not in the same stratosphere as we have been in previous seasons when we were punching above our weight with arguably better players. We can strive for Champions League but to expect to make it in every season money needs to be spent and that isn't happening and even them. I think we will be lucky to qualify every 2 or 3 years as our level is Europa and even this level we are still poor relations. Teams like Liverpool, Tottenham, Southampton have poor results against teams they should be mullering in Europa League as do many other English teams but they don't receive the same assassination for not progressing far enough and these teams are spending millions. One player can cost what we spend over 10 years. Is it dissapointing yes. You say if RD fails in Europe again he goes but what is considered success in Europe? Getting out group again. Quarters? Apart from winning I think supporters see real success qualifying for CL and getting out of the group stages and that is really all about the money as we ain't winning that. So is success measured in football or money? If it's football it's about winning and aiming to reach Europa final. Getting out the group stages of CL to go out even against generally a higher level of opposition isn't success! I remember seasons past we have lost in Europe to lesser teams from various countries when we definitely had better players. What have we done in Europe since Seville when we still failed to win. WGS nearly took us past Milan in CL we had better players still failure. Other than that nothing of real merit odd result here and there. Look at all the teams that used to qualify for champions league who no longer do so from the likes of Belgium, France, Holland, Denmark. Should we have done better in Molde yes. Once our defence settles we will do ok imo. As for replacing RD if it comes to that, who is coming on the cheap who would do any better? If we win treble this season but go out Europa what then is that success. Even NL who never won in Europe or the treble minus Sevco struggled with cups against teams we should have beaten.

Ambrose starts again, as does johansen, is Deila trying to annoy people. Starting commons as well just suggests he has no authority. Disappointing.

It seems form, ability and discipline do not figure in this Celtic managers criteria. I know we have a very limited squad but it is clear where the power lies at Parkhead.

25 Oct 2015 15:37:09
Well I think Ronnie said that 'Johansen was player of the year last year, so he's not a bad player', and after all he is Norwegian as well, and Efe played in the world cup last year so obviously, he is a good player as well, if they are not playing well, it does not matter, he will just keep playing them until they get better, this Ronnies way of thinking.

25 Oct 2015 16:26:25
Well the 'lovin in the dugout' scene with commons didn't look staged at all!

On another note, Kieran Tierney looks good, great attitude. Dundee United are awful mind you.

Hoping to see a young fresh team today Tierney, allan, nesbitt etc, drop the other guys show them if your not performing then it's not good enough. Bailly has to start, hoping for a 4 4 2 also Griffiths and ciftci maybe.

Morning Ed, Cannot believe the TV company have decided to show the first ULTRA HD tv game featuring the zombies v the cretins, the jaykies v the junkies at the mini methadome what the hell are the playing at mate?

This could especially hurt the local economies up and down the land this week could scare aw the weans from turning out for halloween IMO having to watch the cameras pan to the foul foaming at the mouth brigade, squinty eyed, wart faced hairy teeth brigade not been well thought out mate what do you think? :-)

Believable6 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - I don't watch inferior lower league football unless it's down the big Fairhill Parks. What better way to test the ULTRA HD though than a game attended by some of the most hideously deformed specimens on Earth, and some of them will probably have their mutant husbands with them as well.}

This post is in answer to several posts by Garrybhoy in particular defending that bastion of journalism Mr Keevins ( went out last night with Mrs T so could not respond then)
Keevins has been given a platform by Clyde to slag our club because that is their agenda, Garrybhoy you state this "journalist" only speaks the "truth" answer me this, do you think if he was always criticising sevco he would get so much air time?
Have a wee listen to Billy No Well's "Superscorebored"
Their sports programmes are made up almost entirely of ex sevconians, with the occasional tim for "balance" that is why a) I never listen any more as I got so angry with their biased angles and b) I do not take anything said on that programme seriously.
Keevins is a sad old man trying to emulate the late James Sanderson but failing miserably in it.

It's the same with all media tim. It's just one guys opinion that gets broadcast to thousands to millions. Whether you take it as gospel is up to yourself. Particularly surrounding Celtic or Scottish football, I really only pay attention to the facts and the quotes. It's amazing what a player or coach can actually say or do compared to the spin put on it by one joker.

It's quite funny because some of the Rangers fans I work with think Clyde is pro Celtic, and especially poor Gerry McCulloch, they hate him. I work in Advertising so I know the mechanics a little and drama queens are gold dust for tv/radio, - people will tune in just to listen to them, laugh at them. I do that with Keevins, it's so obvious, then he freaks out if someone pulls him up, saying its personal. God love him. I remember my grandfather telling me that when he went into journalism (Keevins) that he was warned after a few articles, and with his background to be delicate let's say when it comes to any compliments towards Celtic. In those days as you know it was much worse, in every walk of life, - some of my family, like many of you I'm sure were told were the door was before they could sit down for a job interview simply because of their names. To be fair it was pretty obvious where our loyalty lay, - the only middle names missing were The, Baby and Jesus. Gerry McNee was the same, - Ed might remember this (he's a few years older than me) he was on tv having a huge argument with Liam Brady and pulled out a Celtic medal he had been given. To say they both have a complex is an understatement! It's a good job one of them wasn't called Gerry Keevins, -, they probably wouldn't have lasted to lunchtime! Radio and tv love drama and controversy so I think Shug is going to be around for a while.

And by the way, like Stein said - if we're good enough we don't have to worry about referees! It's exactly the same with the media, if we did things properly, were a little more dynamic, and made better decisions then we wouldn't give them room to talk. All we've done in my 30 years going to games is give them ammunition, and bungle things up!

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Oct 2015 12:09:13
Clyde 1 doesn't have an anti-Celtic agenda. I've heard Keevins get torn into Rangers plenty of times as well. Obviously he's sensationalist and makes a big song and dance about things but that's part of his job to get folk wound up so that they call in. It seems to be if anyone says anything negative about Celtic our fans cry agenda/bias. Especially ex-players in the media, folk throw a fit if Hartson or Suttkn has a go and highlights what, at times, is a shambles.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Clyde 1 presenters get crew members, friends and family to phone in with questions and opinions they are given by presenters and producers. The programme is garbage and if you're stupid enough to listen to it you really have no right to complain, just turn it off.}

25 Oct 2015 13:23:56
Tim I never said keevins only speaks the truth. ( it's always helpful if you read my post properly) I said he says things that a lot of other Celtic fans have also said. But the second he says it he is hounded and is anti Celtic. I listen to a fair bit of super score board and I enjoy it but that's because I don't take things to seriously. I would suggest if it offends you so much I'd try another station. Try smooth it's nice and relaxing.

Agree1 Disagree1

25 Oct 2015 18:03:19
@Garrybhoy just back from match and read your comments. it is folk like you who give clyde credence, as ED007 says a lot of calls are set up to cater for the zombie listeners and braindead people like your good self.
PS I would rather listen to smooth radio than that other station.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2015 18:38:16
Tim everything in life is about preference I don't listen to Clyde through the day as the music does my head in. I'd rather listen to smooth or absolute. But I will turn over to Clyde for the phone in. Others like yourself don't like the phone In so don't listen to it. That's called choice. I wouldn't judge someone based on there choice of radio station far from it. You wanna start calling people brain dead you loose all credit in my book.

26 Oct 2015 23:23:38
I listened to radio shortbread for years via sky tv as I have lived in England for past 18 years. For a while I got Clyde through the set top box but this was stopped and for the past six months I have been listening to ssb via podcast which was back dated just after the dark side collapsed and died so for me Clyde is much better listening to Hugh Keevins & co than listening to big jabba and all the other current sympathisers like st mirrens best supporter chick hun young.
