Ah, the Institution of Marriage. (why you want to live in an institution is your business!)
Last week I caught my wife sitting with a glass of wine with our marriage license in her hand. Joining her in a glass I smiled and said, "reminiscing love?" "Nah, " she replied. " Checking for an expiry date"
Seriously, we've been married 34 happy years (17 years each!) All the best on the day and for a happy a prosperous life ahead.

Congrats MB remember no swaggering down the aisle like ian brown and is it ten story love songs for the dance?

. WORLD EXCLUSIVE.

I can now EXCLUSIVELY reveal (after a long distance phone call from my business colleague Wee Pat. reverse charges naturally) that he has been in secret negotiations with world class financiers from Abu Daby to Hong Kong and has been promised MAJOR INVESTMENT if our company Timalloy/Wee Pat fae Posso Conglomerates Inc. agree to takeover the running of Sevco forthwith.
Notwithstanding this amazing deal, over the next few days my business colleague and I will be holding high powered meetings with all connected with Sevco, fans groups, shareholders, bus company entrepreneurs, interested South African based onlookers etc.
Wee Pat will tell them at these high powered (did I mention that) meetings that our word is as good as anybody's and that we are willing to tell them whatever they want to hear and make as many promises as it takes to convince them to go with our business acumen, and relieve them of their money.
In return all we ask is that EVERY Sevco fan and shareholder donate £50 each to our new business banking account.
ONE BORN EVERY MINUTE@GULLIBLE GERS.COM
As we all know Sevco boast the World Record in fans donating money to lost causes and we wish our share of the pie. Our target is another world record of 100.000 donating £50 each.
In keeping with recent traditions at this newly formed club, our directors will seek to earn money from every source possible and use it selfishly for luxury apartments, holidays and our upcoming 2 month Las Vegas vacation.
Wee Pat and I will also speak personally to any Sevco fan on our premium rate phone number £5 a minute minimum call 30 minutes 071 1967 9 (in a row) Call now and make us happy (and rich)
Timalloy/Wee Pat fae Posso Conglomerates Inc.
Our verbal agreements are ones you can BANK on preferably at bank account above.

King, the king of tax dodgers has stated that SFA would clear his way to play a senior role at TRFC . Time to ask SFA what their thoughts on this statement are and how fit and proper fits in to all of this .Surely King has tested the waters and has received encouraging feed backs?.Why else would he make such a bold statement? .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

TTTS Mr Ogilvie has already stated everyone will be judged on their own merit, take out of that what you like mate
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Things seem to be cranking up a bit .Read on twitter of the possible freezing of assets leading to the closure of properties, use of names etc until such thing as ownership can be distinguished. Not pretending to be any sort of an expert but it seems quite fesiable given all the claims and counter claims and counter counter claims . TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely even if the sfa overlook the fact king recently admitted extorting the South African government out of over £44mill! they can't ignore he was on rangers board when they went into admimistration. Fit and proper person, only in f**king Scotland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry TTTS that confused me lol, thus waving of the rules can't be ignored am a big backer of PL but come on tae F*ck we need to question this big time. It's the 2nd time they obviously new whyte Wasnt t fit and proper but Thot he would save them so didn't care, the zombies all asked why didn't they challenge him. Now the do the same cus they think he'll save them but if he's challenged they'll throw a wobbly

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldnt care less if the Yorkshire ripper was on their board. The thinking behind king and others going in there is that they will spend their own money to compete with celtic. The amounts required are massive and will bring no return, in many ways. Not one of their current squad could have won a place on the celtic bench last Tuesday. Looks like 'the people' have learned nothing and just want a quick fix no matter its cost to the future. That embarrassing debacle they call a football club is so far from ours, its insignificant.
As that great boating hero once said, we welcome the chase.

Well Done Fraser Forster on bring named in the Uefa Champions League Team of the week. A fantastic goalkeeper with a big future ahead of him. I uploaded a picture of the team of the week on the sightings page. Not bad company to be keeping with Big Forster.! DundeeMichael.

Evening Ed 007and fellow posters, how much do you think vvd, efe and big fraser will be sold for if they keep their standards up also at the transfer windows I've noticed a poster ( jean paul leguerre ) puts forward some really good names to have a look at, looking forward to his suggestions this window . As for getting more fans in the stadium I think a quality playmaker and striker regardless of age would do the job.

ED007 I see my post yesterday about signing one big player has sparked a healthy debate.
I agree with you also in that Celtic seem to have found a way in past few seasons to turn a healthy profit. With no Sevco for the foreseeable future, Celtic should be confident of making CL group stages each season, making us a nice wee nestegg.
Now Celtic must start investing some of these profits back into the team. Keep our scouting system in place looking for hidden gems, and promote some of our talented young players.
Re sign our experienced players and then sign one big proven talented player.
I think most Celtic fans would be happy with us signing one massive player per season, while still bringing in unknown talented players on the cheap.
You talk of a "glass ceiling" at CP, but there are ways round this. One idea which other clubs have tried is bonuses tied to attendance. Say we have 45,000 ST holders, if "X" (Rhodes. whoever) adds another 3000 say then the player gets a cut of this extra crowd over our projected figure.
Or do what we did with Larsson, promise a lucrative testimonial if he stays for say 4 seasons.
Or merchandising, if "X" sells more strips with his name again over a set figure he gets paid another bonus.
I am sure our fans can think of ways to attract the really big name players to Celtic Park, these are just a few of my thoughts. hail hail Timalloy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good points made Timmaloy. There are ways to pay based on merit, ability and pulling power without busting the proven financial set-up or (dare I mention without being blasted by sevco about our one rectified error) delving into the EBT's. Got me thinking now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bad for team morale. Makes it like a circus. It's a team game. Our great players have always emerged. We bring in players like Larsson who either take the great opportunity or don't. Van dijk has said he received a lot of stick for going to Scotland but he could see the opportunity as a good career move and his attitude will make it work for himself and the club. that's the type of player we need.

Agree0 Disagree0

Poster 2, check what the king was earning in relation to others.
there has to be a sliding scale of salary relevant to skill and contribution.
yes, its a team sport but we all know certain players lead from the front. stevo dundee

Was just watching nakamura on you tube and the joy that man brought me came flooding back from his free kicks against Manchester United to his free kick at Kilmarnock that won the league also his reaction to the goal going in, the boy I work with said "he didn't rate him as he was to light weight and went missing to much" is that a general feeling?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just those 2 free kicks were enough for me. Magic

Agree0 Disagree0

Old firms aye, but his last minute winners more than made up for it!

GerryBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

He was to intelligent to run about mad diving into tackles etc even jimmy Calderwood said he would take up a position to stop you playing the pass as he had a brain and was a nightmare to play against also his touch on the ball was fantastic as tommy burns said he had a touch like an angel never seen anything like him since he left

Agree0 Disagree0

A liked him brung that little bit extra a wee price of magic now and again, didn't turn up sometimes but a lot of players in his mould do this to and at the big teams u don't notice them missing because there other good players step up
