Four Dunfermline fans have been arrested over racial chanting at their team's game against Celtic in Glasgow on Wednesday night.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-15895454

Did you see this ? Looks like the Police are indeed clamping down... - Mrs E {Ed007's Note - Great news that Mrs E. I am just talking about that with FF81 on a thread.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Their was only about 75 off them if that on Wednesday but within in first 2mins their waving a union jacket about then about 15 min later their doing the ponza ? Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Maciej88 have you got a problem with me and any other Gers poster? You you don't seem to be able to grasp the word banter. Any Gers poster that comes on here you give them abuse. Why. You are a sad wee individual bigot that can't have banter or conversation without giving them abuse. It is the year 2011 try moving away from your wee bigoted views. It's people like you that holding your club back. Absolutely shocking behaviour by yourself grow up. Keep your language to the east coast of Scotland and don't bring it over here. Kids come on these sites so give it a rest.

ed i posted a comment about rankers an the taxman...can u really see them getting off with this
maciej88 {Ed007's Note - No. The £2.8 million has been ringfenced and Rangers have accepted they owe that. It is the £1.4 million penalty on top of it they are contesting. In the 'big' case if the appeal fails, the bill is £24 million with £12 million in interest plus a penalty which has been estimated at between £12-18 million. HMRC do not like people using EBTs, Rangers will have to pay something if not it all. Here is the governments settlement proposition, but Rangers and HMRC couldn't settle before litigation:

www.hmrc.gov.uk/employers/employee-benefit-trusts.htm

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Thanks ed now im alot clearer
maciej88 {Ed007's Note - No problem.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Ed i went on that site it may as well been in greek cos i couldnt make head nor tail of that jargen.....anybody selling a degree lol {Ed007's Note - LOL}

Agree0 Disagree1

Macie since you are a lot clearer on the ebt tax can you explain it to me? I bet you £1 you can't lol. They are two certainties in life Death and Taxes and it's only West Belfast it happens lol or is it the East of Scotland? Lmao. Grow a pair mac and grow up plus your language is atrocious. They are kids that look on this site lmao. Ed I never new you started a new dating site on this page mac and cb lol. Timalloy will get jealous lol.
FF81 {Ed007's Note - We can all find love in the strangest places mate :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

ED007 I know you are more informed on this than most of us, but what I read and was told, HMRC want full £36m (£24 plus £12m interest) but may allow a deal to reached on the penalties aspect of the big tax case. HMRC will not want to jeopardise future cases hence this tough stance, is this how you read the situation? Timalloy {Ed007's Note - There might be some leeway in the penalties but as the settlement process set up by HMRC failed to find a satisfactory conclusion it is hard to say if HMRC would negotiate any more, it could set a precedent in future cases, which would make the settlement process pointless.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Ff81 my names maciej88 not macie so y dnt u pi55 of back to ur own site an worry about ur own team,once in a wile u get a genuine rankers supporter on here who air their views an they get respect ur just an idiot sorry excuse the language ff81

Followfollow81 {Ed007's Note - Nothing to do with kids, I mean come on what 14/15 yr old do you know doesn't know the words, they hear worse on TV or their computer games. We don't really want the pages littered with kids posts either TBH. Look through other sites and see there is an acceptable level of swearing and edited words (1 or 2 in a post. Any post littered with profanities is deleted and the poster banned. The sites are aimed at adults rather than youngsters.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Mrs E, good evening are you having a bet tomorrow? I am being more cautious just now but hope you are more luckier, got my Euro Millions ticket on, just in case ha ha Timalloy
PS Followfollow81 re your "hook" comment, when you go back on rangers site can you gather up all my "hooks" (I think there will be about 100 ha ha) and send them across to me LOL Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree3

I'll have my coupon on as usual...might as well just make a donation to paddypower though ! Gave up on the horses at the moment - Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree1

Mac can speak English boy/girl? I don't understand you. Is that the east of Scotland lingo your printing? Can you explain it to me? 3 times I've asked you. Why are you so interested in Rangers? Have you got a wee soft spot for us?
Mrs E, I will try and get tickets for the Wales game and Croatia. I don't think Wales are using the millennium stadium for their games so it will be a tricky one. It will be the luck of the draw for that game. (names out a hat)

Timalloy I'm going over to watch Rangers v Hamburg. Do the St Pauli fans know you? If I see any I will tell them you were asking for them lol.
Ps Ed it's good to see wee pat is back. It's been a while lol. Plus it's about time other fans (not old firm fans) getting arrested for sectarian/racist behaviour. It's been going on for years and it's always the old firm fans that get the brunt of it.
FF81 {Ed007's Note - Exactly what I was saying last week mate. They say they only sing songs as a 'wind up', that is no excuse, they are still singing the same songs, both our clubs could claim it's all a wind up as well. I would never sing The Sash just to wind someone else up, and the rest of Scotland say it is all our fault?? Heads in the sand time there I reckon.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Ed you can sing the sash to me for a wind up lol. I promise I won't take the huff lmao. Only joking mate. I just hope this is the start of it non old firm fans getting arrested for it. They say it's a wind up but is it?
FF81 {Ed007's Note - I don;t believe it for a minute mate, some of the songs Motherwell fans were singing to CFC were amongst the vilest you would hear at a derby game.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Definitely Ed. The team that Celtic are playing tomorrow are one of the worst offenders for their sectarian/racist chanting.

Maciej88, you call me a tool but do you know that my tool has helped produce 3 beautiful kids for me and my wife and I'm still practising with it? As I've told you before (grow a pair) and stop acting like a wee immature school boy/girl. You called me an idiot aswell but going on the posts I've read by yourself you are not the brightest electrician on this page are you.

With the appointment of the new hibs manager we now have more Irishmen managing SPL teams than Scots. I make it

I portuguese (hearts)
2 English (ICT and Motherwell)
5 Irish ( Celtic, Hibs, Kilmarnock, St Mirren, St Johnstone)
4 Scottish (Rangers, Dundee United, Aberdeen, Dunfermline)

Also looking at the number of Irish Boys playing here and being stand outs (Hays, Heffernan, Salmon, Cairey, Goodwin) seems their doing something right over there.

A team in the Europa League group stages that got there by winning their qualifier

Is there a lesson for scottish football somewhere David

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Good point made David, yep Scottish football is at a low point at the moment. The only good bit of news we've had in years is the latest Sky deal, which I was pretty surprised about considering where we are at the moment.
CB67

Agree0 Disagree0

As far as managers go Scotland provide their fair share, look at the EPL how many Scottish managers are their down there?

Agree2 Disagree0

Rangers fan here.. Scottish teams bemoan all our good players leaving to go to premiership or championship weakening our league, is it not true that most not all our managers do likewise therefore weakening it even more cos lots of them are successful and do a great job down south, we are quick enough to slate greedy players but not managers, who then talk about our league from a distance saying how much the standard has dropped maybe if the managing standards improved so would the football.. LARKYELLIS

Agree0 Disagree0

How many Scots are managing in the BIG league though?

Agree0 Disagree0

There are 7 Scottish managers in premiership which is 35% of the league and backs my point up, better managers better teams .... LARKYELLIS

Agree0 Disagree0

If you look at the 7 Scottish managers down south most of them served an apprenticeship in the SPL
ferguson
Lambert
Coyle
Mcleish

If they don't get started then will they end up as top managers?

Ed please tell me if i'm missing something but has the Sion hearing came to a final,final,final conclusion??
CB67 {Ed007's Note - Not yet. The CAS was expected yesterday evening but they have said they will announce the outcome within two weeks. Sion are now threatening to sue the French,Italian and Scottish FAs if the hearing doesn't go their way. Some reports are saying they are planning to sue the French FA alone for £9 million.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Its a shocking state of affairs overall. Plus the fact that we've now to wait another 2 weeks to find out the outcome! Its a joke. {Ed007's Note - Their owner is a headcase and complete egomaniac. He will try anything.}

Can't actually believe i'm going to say this but I actually kinda wish Alluko all the best there's not many players out there (if any) willing to do what he's just done regarding the compensation to the dons, it incredible actually!!. It says alot about the kid, he obviously wants to kick start his career again so I respect that. On the flipside it says a hell of a lot about "the shame" and state they are in. There's not one player at that club who knows he'll be there come Jan that's just ridiculous!! Its going to be a very interesting month for all the bluenoses and they know it!! ;)
CB67

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Disagree CB the tax case has been put back therefore we wont be "forced to sell" we will however accept any offers that we feel we cant refuse ..... same as any other club in scotland.

Germinator

Agree2 Disagree0

I love it how these cretins refer to us (RANGERS--go on say it!) as "THE SHAME". I just keep thinking of the phrase - people in glass houses..... What do you hope to achieve CB? If I were to retaliate I bet the offended brigade would appear!
KINGBEAR
KINGBEAR {Ed007's Note - If you love it then why are you questioning it? You are posting on Rangers site using C****c instead of saying Celtic, what was that you were saying about people in glass houses?}

Agree0 Disagree1

Is your first name Wan Kingbear

Agree2 Disagree0

Kingbear learn to take the moral high ground if possible, i think those that need to go out their way to use a word to generalise what is essentially the same people that just follow a diff team in a derogatory manner are the ones that have a problem ... it says more abou them than it does the people they are targetting .. just rise above it. personally i just laugh at them it does make me feel better about myself as smug as that sounds !

Germinator

Agree1 Disagree1

Pure kwality pal pp the man who pit the p in posso

Agree0 Disagree1

Germ...maybe its been put back to January to see how much money they can raise in transfer window ? Is that not a 'theory' going about ? - Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree2

Ah yes the Germinator always good for a rant on our site.
Germinator where did you get this name from? Actually cheers you have just reminded me,the bird asked me to buy stuff for cleaning the toilet!!
Cheers Germinator LOL ;) LOL
CB67

Agree0 Disagree0

God knows Mrs E? everyone has an opinion no one has a fact ! i dont really bother speculating on it .... got boring a very long time ago. I do know that earlier this week two cases almost identical to the gers case were lost by the HMRC. We signed Aluko tho addi more to the wage structure so if we were planning on selling you would hvae thought that they would wait til players are sold afore resigning new ones, but again its just thoughts same as everyone else.

Germinatoer

Agree1 Disagree0

Kingbear, Germinator oh if only bears could understand Irony, name calling? Myself, Miko and Lenny to name but 3 get called every name under the sun by yourfellow bears, speaking for myself I just smile, because I know they have no comeback but please gents, THINK before you post Nonsense Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree1

I would think if this is the reason then they could be looking at some kind of settlement but as you say...all guessing. I do believe HMRC will pursue the case very vigorously because it is high profile.

Not sure how the wages structure of a football team works...would it not just be part of monthly income/outgoings ? Rangers, at the moment anyway, have no debt. Ed, do you have any info on how wages work at football clubs ? - Mrs E {Ed007's Note -Most players get paid monthly, their basic wage and any bonuses they are due (goal scoring etc).}

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Nov 2011 12:45:18
Alright Ed hows tricks, glad to see we are getting a few more posts in now it got a wee bit quiet there for a while. Was just catching up on earlier comments, your bang on about me (worrying etc,the gray hairs are popping up something rotten!!) thanks for being a good guy. Now back to the footy the saints on Sat should be able to walk that one, just don't play El "nightmare" Kaddouri or i'll be a nervous wreck :( LOL!!
Cheers bud CB67 {Ed007's Note - He certainly hasn't lived up to his reputation. As for tomorrow, I will be happy with three points 1-0 will do, but it would be good to get a few. If we can play like we did in the first half on Wednesday we should see them off with no problems.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Agree with Ed 007 on this I have been to see St Mirren a few times this season and they look more than decent. We should win but must not get complacent. After all we only beat Dunfermline 2:1. Work hard and get a result and I'm happy

David

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm nervous all over again...we did beat St Mirren 2-0 at Love St not that long ago but i'm sure it was 2 early goals, was 1 not a gift ? They are defo hitting a bit of form. Can see the Kalms coming out tomorrow for me (again) - Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right David comparing St.Mirrens have played excellent this season. There form from last season to this one is massive, they've made some good signings and are gelling well as a team. So you have to give Danny Lennon the respect he deserves, we should still be strong enough to see them off I would like to think.
Cheers CB67

Agree0 Disagree0

Afternoon Mrs E, think positive we are winning games we drew before when we win tomorrow the gap is only 4 and then bears have the pressure on Sunday. Hail hail Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Afternoon Tim..I see you've been indulging in your favourite pastime - noising-up the teddy bears lol ;~)

Don't you worry about the name-calling, I'll kick their a*s for you !

Ed..Bit of a hullabaloo on here last night about this Sone Aluko. Rangers must surely have wanted him or else they wouldn't have let him pay his own money to Aberdeen. (To be fair to Aluko - he must just want to play football & maybe prove himself). I don't know much about him but he's nearly 23, why does he not have a club ? I know with the likes of Andre Blackman, he's been a bit of a toerag off-field but what's the story with Aluko ? - Mrs E {Ed001's Note - Aluko was offered a new contract but told Aberdeen he wanted to move and was not interested in signing a new one. Then he just sat tight and waited until the current one ran out. Aberdeen would have liked to keep him if they could, or sell him at the very least, but players hold all the cards these days. I bet he thought it had backfired on him until Rangers came in for him though!}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I see...helluva gamble that could pay off if he proves himself at Rangers. Don't see him being a Naismith though - Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Mrs E and i gotta admit its good to see posters on here who can actually post a comment worth talking about *ahem tim*
there is no way he will be up to naismiths level i think even naisy has taken the majority of gers fans by suprse with the progess he has made... Aluko will be useful a best ... he himselft might not be the player that opens up defence but he will supply balance to the midfiled i reckon with him being a natural right winger. If im being honest i did actually think he was always one of aberdeens more dangerous players when he was with them .. time will tell i reckon he will improve the team but it will be more gibing balance to the team as i said .

Germinator

Agree1 Disagree1

Ithink even naisy has taken the majority of gers fans by suprise

It's called form and most players get a purple patch at some point in their career. e.g Hutton's wonder year. Hartley's indian summer, Maloney's pre villa days.

As the late Sankley said form is temporary Class is perminant. Alouko might hit form

Did yous have to pay money for Mathhews? He is young like Sone. {Ed007's Note - Yes. CFC paid around £200,000 in compensation for Adam Matthews. After 40+ appearances for Cardiff, I would think they considered him a first team player.}
