Ed,any idea what happened to their unsurpassed dignity Algarvebhoy {Ed007's Note - I think that was sold by Craig Whyte along with the Arsenal shares and the St Etienne bike. The wee flag waving day removed any remaining morsel of dignity they had clung onto.}

big problem coming out for newco ... the sfa s plans for first division was on account of sevco being voted into spl and drop them for double contracts now it looks as thou they will be turned down their is not direct access to the 1st they will now need all sfl clubs to vote and its unlikely they will vote them straight in above their own clubs

The ex bears are mobilising....
On one of their sites tonight...
"we should be outside Ibrox in numbers
voicing our opinions"
"Good idea, give us a time and date"
"Tomorrow at midday"
"I cannot make it then"........

And they wonder why they get shafted??

Anyone else think our chances of signing players will be dealt a blow with no glasgow derby to play in?

Really think it will put folk off signing, as its the game new players always want to play in.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I don't honestly think that's why players comes to the SPL, Jelavic to Rangers so he could play Celtic hmmmm, I have my doubts - Mrs E

Agree2 Disagree1

Not always,hooper and ledley both came to play in europe(their words) and by all accounts loved last year's europa league,imagine getting into the champions league

Agree2 Disagree1

Football has changed with players always having the upper hand now.Cherry picking hungry players and getting them to buy in to the club before selling for profit is the way forward.In this respect we have proved to be ahead of the game,allied to the fact that we are quite dominant in the youth leagues i feel we are better prepared than most clubs.From what i have been told,ED you might back this up,there are some kids at the club who are very highly rated.Look how well we done in the next gen.I thought one of the best prospects i have seen for years is young Fraser, looks a cracking CB to me.We gotta start playing these kids some time.........green jhedi {Ed007's Note - The youth players at CFC are collectively at the highest level for a long time GJ. Marcus Fraser, Joe Chalmers, the Twardzik twins and Paul George are all highly rated. Throw in Tony Watt and McGeouch and you have a few players that should get some game-time next season or they could be loaned out. I am looking forward to seeing Ibrahim get more time as well.}

McGregor and Wallace would do a good job for us. It would also stick it right up them and we are due payback for what Judas did all those years ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you think these players are daft enough to sign for us during the period rangers are sliding into the mists of time?............green jhedi

Agree1 Disagree0

There is very little loyalty in football anymore. It's all about money! Wallace is a jambo from Edinburgh. Do you really think he will give Rangers a second thought once his bank account is swollen by another club?

Agree0 Disagree0

Point i was making is would they be able to have a life? Gonna be a lot of angry bears wandering around soon...........green jhedi {Ed007's Note - I have read some disgusting stuff that has been written about McCabe, Naismith and Whittaker over the last couple of days. If Naismith speaks out honestly about the last year at the club Rangers fans would realise the shambles the club had become, if he wasn't injured he would have left in January. The Rangers fans again turn on one of their own just because he isn't saying what they want to hear. I wonder if John Grieg and Naismith spoke on Friday night to discuss the club's situation?}

Agree1 Disagree0

What did Judas do after he signed for them. Still went out, but not in Glasgow city centre. Wallace is still through in Edinburgh all the time, therefore already out of the way.

A Rangers supporter is insisting that Rangers haven't died and the Newco is still the same club and the history continues.

He's just bought a set of Ben Hogan's old golf clubs and insits he's now Ben Hogan.

I have never liked (or used) the 'Old Firm' term as I felt it always lumped us in with them - good and bad, (but usually bad). We are 2 very separate and unique clubs and with the death of RFC hopefully means the end of Auld-Firm forever.
On a separate point the media are sure making a celebrity of that guy Graham? from the standard -who says SPL clubs are not only acting out of the 'integrity of the game', but 'kicking Rangers when they're down' - what a Winker!
Every day brings new allegations and charges from Football Authorities and Scots Law, but still they blame others and admit no wrong doing?
He should not be appointed the mouth-piece of any decent, intelligent supporters out there.

Jungle Jim

Believable1 Unbelievable0

This "kicking Rangers when they are down" is a myth.

To date they have not received any punishment. The only thing that comes close to a punishment is the 10 point deduction for going into administration. However, that is not a punishment, it is a consequence of going into administration.

So now there's a planned criminal investigation into Whytes takeover and running of the club. On what grounds, being pissed off ? He paid £18 m to the bank to clear that debt. So he did not use his own money, no different to what Murray did,. Is he to face a criminal investigation? "For every £5 Celtic spend I'll spend £10 of the taxpayers money"!

You know how it is guys......
You find something new in life to get excited about. You think it's great and you love the great feeling it gives you. It makes you laugh and smile like never before.
Then after a while you become used to it. And then you take it for granted. And then you get bored with it. And then you stop caring anymore. And then you think of it as a bit of a nuisance.
That kinda sums up how I feel about the daily goings on at the Inland Revenue Arena!

If this newco are allowed back into the SPL i think that there is no justice in this country what so ever, they have disgraced scottish football and deserve everything that is flung at them. They have cheated for years, not only through this tax case that has risen but we all know the other ways they have. They are the scotlands shame, always have and always will be...NO TO NEWCO!!

Believable5 Unbelievable1

@Jungle Bhoy; The really strange thing is that it all makes perfect sense.Speaking to my mates,they would go with newco and start in division three.I think that the real decent fans, who have had enough of the Ulster and sectarian nonsense, see this as a real chance to get it back to football again.When you actually think about it how many teams get the chance to reinvent themselves,as a better more vibrant model? Sensible wages,young hungry players and a support unencumbered by the "we arra peepil" mentality.No sanctions,no slagging from other teams,just a club being raised by the fans for the fans.I also hope our own idiots realise there is no need for any IRA chants at Celtic any more,defiance is not needed as our old enemy will be defunct ..........green jhedi

I think we should make a move for that young whippersnapper Pirlo!
Seriously though, Pirlo showed last night - with undoubtedly the performance of the Euro championship so far - that there is no substitute for true class.
Hard graft, running power and organisation (like England) will only take you so far. Pirlo would struggle to beat anyone in a sprint but his football brain and vision are as fast as anyone's in world football.
A great education to any young player. Here's hoping we can unearth a midfielder that can play like that - almost like a Quarterback role. Exactly whats required at Champions League level - a sprinkling of class.
But then, every team is looking for that..............kbt1978

I'm loving the young bhoys at Celtic, but does anyone think Harry Kewell at 33 could do a job for us? He is looking to move closer to Manchester where his family resides. I may have my green and gold tinted specs on, but I love the bloke, and he would bring valuable experience to our young guys.
