Ed, royal rumble 2nite, some light entertainment from all these anti LENNON comments, these people just don't no when there on to a good thing.
Hail Hail king lenny.

{Ed007's Note - Yep, I can't see me staying awake for all of it, it's been a long past few days.}

How's it anti Lennon? Pmsl

So arsenal are signing Gabriel paulista for 14m euros I'd imagine that would be around the fee Celtic are looking for VVD! 12.5 m is what I am guestamating lol! But the Spanish press are not overly impressed by him especially on the ball which every arsenal player needs to be! I'm just a bit surprised as I rate VVD massively and don't want to loose him but just a wondering what price we have stated is it a new record transfer fee?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Did any other person think that VVD was not his cool calm self on Saturday? Maybe the rumours are getting to him? or maybe he thinks its time to try in the EPL if so I think we should let him go not good keeping him IF it is effecting him and not good for the club financially or in the future in bringing in talented players thinking that we are a stepping stone for the EPL reality talking not my heart its part of life now we have to accept . Any ones thoughts?

Agree0 Disagree1

I honestly think he's got more potential than Paulista. But not as valuable as Wanyama. Guess it just shows somebody is only worth what a club is willing to pay. Arsenal missed a trick not signing Wanyama I think. Thought perhaps they might be more willing to pay for Virgil after that. Then again perhaps they're not interested at all. Based on this season compared to last, I would have to say VVDs 'value' has went down IMO.

Hi ed! Been a while fae a posted! What? And do you think? Is there a chance of wee Lenny returning to Celtic? Seen a few rumours/ quotes saying he would love to come back?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He can chase himself

Agree2 Disagree0

A thought was you DN30 in the youtube segment lmfao

Agree1 Disagree0

NL great guy done well here to but in my opinion he done all he could here and given the bad times he got from the knuckle grinders and the press here I think for all party's he is well out of it

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't know why there is so much venom directed at Neil Lennon.
He may not have been the most successful ever Celtic manager, but I think he left the club in a far better state than when he took over, and I think that's all you can ask from a manager.
Whe Tony Mowbray left, we were a laughing stock, losing 4-0 to St Mirren, the fans had lost faith in the team, I think if I recall Lennon's first home match against Motherwell only had a crowd of about 15,000, that's how bad we had become.
At least when he left we were the best team in Scotland, and had some good nights in Europe.
This is not a Lennon v Deila point, I hope Ronny takes us to the next level, I just can't see why Lennon gets so much stick when he had a lot to contend with both on and off the pitch.

Agree3 Disagree6

Gerryc domestic cup record. Rest my case. I personally was doing backflips from one end of bulgaria to the other when I found out he was away. That was turning point of holiday for me. Its amazing how a good bit of news can change a $hit holiday into one of the best I've ever had!

Agree3 Disagree3

Gerryc forgot to say off field problems are no excuse for poor management. Yes it was terrible what happened to him, but why should that be an acceptable excuse to sub standard management? Basically its okay for club to suffer?

Agree3 Disagree2

@DN your a bit harsh mate. You try working in those circumstances and see how you get on. Like the guy said he left the club in a much better state than he got it.

Agree2 Disagree2

You at it again DN30? Five people servicing prison sentences for assaults, letter bombs and death threats, give me strength

Agree0 Disagree10

{Ed007's Note - None of that is anything to do with his ability as a manager though.}

@rayman Yes it was terrible what happened to him and was unacceptable but it can't be used as an excuse to defend his tenure. To be fair though it was always going to be a lose/lose situation. If at time things got too much and he decided to quit, bigots would of won. Stay in job, beat the bigots and underachieve in domestic cup competitions.

Agree2 Disagree2

DN30, you still haven't explained your venom towards Lennon.
As I said, he wasn't the greatest ever Celtic manager, but you seem to be judging him on his cup record alone, but I would argue that winning league titles and getting us qualifying for the Champions league means you can't call his reign a disaster.
Is Jose Mourinho a sub standard manager because he didn't win the FA cup with Chelsea last season, and yesterday went out of the cup to a lower division team.
I don't think so.

Agree2 Disagree2

25 Jan 2015 22:07:16
LENNON is going to be a big success at Bolton, then 1 of the big 3 in engurlan will snap him up,
In 20 years he will be mentioned along wi the greatest mangers in the game.
Hail Hail king Lenny.

Agree3 Disagree3

Gerryc venom? Is that what being critical of Lennons reign is called now? there's a wee culture with some supporters like yourself where no one is permitted to say anything critical of Lennon.

Mourinho? Gerry stop your beginning to sound silly. Mourinho has done well in all competitions in a far more competitive enviroment. In scotland there simply is no excuse for Lennon underachieving domestically. League is a certainty to win as no team can last the pace and keep up with celtic. Il go as far to say at least 10 in a row is a realistic target.

Agree3 Disagree3

What big 3 Chelsea and the 2 Manchesters? Are you on glue like any of them will want NL! He's a Swansea/Stoke/Sunderland/Leicester standard of coach and he won't replace Hughes. He will probably take over from Leicester if they sack Pearson.

Agree2 Disagree2

Groutdoc say in the scenario celtic got relegated resulting in substantial loss of revenue at that time. "Ah but Lennon had a lot of personal stuff going on in his life. Its okay cause its Lennon"

There is no excuse. If it was getting too much for him he should of shown professionalism and stepped aside rather than affect team performance

Agree3 Disagree2

DaBhoy yes that's right. Even the struggling EPL teams never rated him and stayed clear.

Agree1 Disagree1

DN30 I can't believe you suggested that the right thing for Lennon to do would be to let those scumbags win and to step down. Pathetic post mate, you've given yourself a right showing up with that one!

Agree3 Disagree3

Kevbhoy probably best you read ALL posts before commenting! Its actually yourself who has been "shown up" for jumping the gun and putting tuppence worth in without reading all posts.

See the fact of the matter is, a minority of people like yourself are evidently more than happy for a manager to seriously underperform because of problems in personal life. That is not acceptable and there have been plenty of managers who have been in situations where they have shown professionalism and stepped aside due to not being able to handle pressure.

I don't know if your aware but football is a competition where the main objective is to win and be the best. No one is bigger than club with no exceptions and if this is compromised no matter who they are they should do the right thing

Agree2 Disagree2

No mate definitely not. Football results should take a backseat if the manager's life is being threatened on a consistent basis. Everyone at the club should get behind him or do everything in their power to help him, it's the decent thing to do. If you were being threatened with violence in your personal life I'd hope your employer would stand by you even if your work suffered. This is not even a NL issue for me to be honest. Some of the results we had under him even before most of the hassle were pretty awful I agree. It's your attitude of results on the park coming before the manager's wellbeing, especially considering he was not to blame for any of it, I find disgusting.

Agree3 Disagree2

26 Jan 2015 09:59:12
I no it's banter, but saying it's no excuse, for not doing his job properly, I think uve over stepped the mark, football is a sport, his life and families life and more important.
Ever club and supporter should have backed him to the hilt, but never mind tho, he didn't win a few cups.
Hail Hail KING LENNON

Agree0 Disagree0

Slag him off all you want but the fact is he grabbed us by the scruff of the neck after TM and gave us some great nights as well as some horrors. He is now continuing with his own learning process and doing not a bad job at a club who were going downwards. And, you will notice, he has not had much money to spend doing it. Sign of a half decent manager? Few good results and they might not be too far away from play-offs.

Agree0 Disagree3

DN30 I don't know what you mean by a culture with people like me.
I said I didn't think that Lennon was the greatest Celtic manager, but if you look at the shambolic state we were in when he took over, then can you realistically say we weren't a lot better when he left, surely that's all you can judge any manager on.
It is you that seems to have the problem, as you can't seem to find anything remotely complimentary tò say about him, and you are using his record in cup competitions to hammer him, while failing to say anything positive about his time here.
That's why I called it venom, because that's what it sounds like.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is a crucial point being missed here I never brought subject up, I responded with view which like you I am entitled to do.

Kevbhoy your wrong. Basically you are saying that in worst case scenario club got relegated everything would be hunky doray cause the manager (regardless who) had personal problems. That attitude is suggesting say for example a surgeon had issues and made a mess of an operation ruining someones life, but it would be okay cause he had personal problems.

DaBhoy it is banter your right, but just pi$$es me off that issue can be used as an excuse to justify team performances. I don't think there was 1 fan who didn't get behind Lennon for what he suffered but when it affects team performances there is no excuse.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gerryc il agree with you there, Lennon was not the greatest manager but he certainly was not the worst.

I was never keen on his appointment from the start due to not having experience and the board potentially playing russian roulette again appointing a rookie after John Barnes. i'm not saying for me he would never have been welcome in my opinion, just I think it would of been better all round if he served an apprenticeship at a smaller club then became manager. I think he would of been more successful.

For me his inexperience was evident and cup records show this. Last season was horrific and I don't think there is one supporter out there who would disagree. People go on about last 16, but seem to forget Strachan done it twice yet no one seems to credit him. Also potentially we could of only participated in 2 group stages in total had it not been for Sion saga in europe.

Do you still class that as venom for clearly illustrating failings?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dn30, your argument is flawed because he was never in a relagation battle, let me ask you if he had won leagues (which he did) and the cups you keep going on about, whilst receiving death threats, and supporters attacking him in front of thousands and millions on TV and getting not proven, would you say well done Lennon?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - What does NL receiving death threats, being assaulted etc have to do with his ability as a manager? Hee-haw that's what, it's simply an excuse wheeled out to excuse his overall average performance as our manager and using it actually takes away from the seriousness of the situation.
The first off the field incident happened in January 2011, that season we were put out the CL Qualifiers 4-2 on aggregate by Braga and put out the EL Qualifiers by Utrecht by the same aggregate score.
The previous season and before any off-field incidents we were beaten 2-0 by Ross County in the SC semi-final.
What's the excuses for those disasters, the ref?
And if it affected him so much he couldn't do his job how did he manage to win 5 out of 14 trophies while here, did it only affect him when we lost?}

Jbhoy how is my argument flawed? I never once said we were in a relegation battle, I said say in the scenario. Do you not know what scenario means? It is an outline of a plot/situation.

Just shows you the thinking of some people when they think it is acceptable for a club the size of celtic, to underperform in a climate where we should of been dominating all because manager had issues in personal life.

There is a biast attitude towards Neil Lennon and people will clutch at straws trying to justify his failings. Mo Bangura lost his son during birth and evidently went off the boil as a result, yet people were quick to slate him for being duff and underperforming. Did anyone try and defend him using "personal issues" card that some people freely use with Lennon? No they never! Losing a child is without a doubt THE worst thing that could ever happen to anyone and far worse than anything Lennon went through

Agree0 Disagree0

DN30 Iam not saying Neil Lennon didn't have faults every manager does.
I just can't agree that his record was as bad as you say it is.
Strachan did a good job at Celtic, and I was sorry when he left, but I am not comparing managers.
I am just pointing out that if you compare the state we were in when he arrived, then I don't see him as the disaster that you make him out to be.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gerryc Tony Mowbray should never of been appointed after taking West Brom down to championship. I do think however he left Lennon with a few good players that were brought in during his brief tenure- Keane (loan), ki, N'Guemo (loan).

The squad he inheritated wasnt as bad as people think and with the amount he spent during his reign on transfers in, he should have done a lot better.

Agree0 Disagree0

DN30. It is hardly Lennon's fault that Tony Mowbray was appointed.
I think that he did build a fair team, but the guts were ripped out of it at the start of last season, I am sure he didn't agree with this, so it seems harsh to judge him under those circumstances.
Don't forget the previous season we won the double and did well in the Champions league. Maybe if he had been allowed to keep his players, we would have done a bit better last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Although players left he was given adequate resources to replace and brought in pukki, boerighter and balde who have failed to make an impression. He did bring in Van Dijk his best signing last season and by time Johansen was brought in, damage was done.

I know scouts identify targets and Manager picks who fits the bill, but end of the day it was Lennons decision to sign these players and it hasn't worked out.

I geniunely hope he does well at Bolton, I just didn't rate his success at celtic

Agree0 Disagree0

Dn30 yes but it was a rediculous scenario, of course no matter who was manager would have been sacked if relegated.
The point I'm trying to make is, Lennon wasn't our best manager or player but he did alright, not great just alright.
Ed: I'm not suggesting for 1 minute that it excuses someone of being a bad manager, Lennon never once used personal life as an excuse, as I stated above not my favourite manager, but certainly not the worst, and just feel the hatred towards him is uncalled for, but that's my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - So why did you bring it up?}

Jbhoy I never heard Lennon suggest that either, but when people use that as an excuse on his behalf obviously there will be a debate.

Scenario was very relevant, if people are willing to justify and accept a poor cup record due to personal problems would be a hypocrite to suggest they would of had different opinion if relegated.

Anyone who spends approx £40 odd million on transfer fees in a climate where we are clearly the dominate force and still has shockingly poor cup haul, is clearly not good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

I never actually used it as an excuse for under achieving, I threw it in with him winning everything.
I agree a lot of money wasted but how much say did he have with signings no one knows we can only speculate, I thought he did a ok job, that's all I'm saying.

Afternoon Ed, sorry to bother you but getting a bit flat noo was expecting to pick up the papers today and given the fact it is the last week of the window was expecting to see a bit of who we were bringing in to have a bit of meaning/meat to it!

Think most of us were in agreement we were expecting at least THREE in? And just wondered if you had heard any "snippets/nuggets" of info or even what you ARE expecting in (if anything?)

ATVB JB7

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - I'm not confident of anyone coming in, Jamie, I never am in January but until the window closes there's a chance of the GMS deal going through. Otherwise I think it'll be a couple of last minute loans.}

As ever Ed thanks I honestly believe if PL gives us nothing this window even just GMS he could be in for the biggest backlash ever mate

There has just been to many "cut corners" "cutbacks" "downsizing" call it what you like folks

We are not looking for a marquee Robbie Keane type but we defo need something IMO the usual spin can only get served up so much

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - We've got too many mediocre players and players who offer nothing that need to be moved on. Ronny Deila himself has said he wants a smaller squad of 20/22 players and the squad places to be taken up of with youngsters, everything isn't going to happen in one winter window.}

I seen that "22" quote Ed and I thought it was the cleverest thing he had said since his induction Ed

I took it as 2 for every position then the youngsters to come in down from the 28/29 the now if he pitched that too PL @ the interview you can see why it got him the post with the cutbacks etc

A also reckon Kayal would have been circa top 5 earners @ the club therefore very easy to let go.

But needs a big big improvement in the youths we bring in and hopefully never letting another Robertson slip through IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - There's no point having young players if you're not going to use them and supporters have to give the youngsters a chance. Too many fans are far too quick to write off young players after 1 or 2 poor performances.
Andy Robertson would never have became a CFC player, fans would rather see Mulgrew making an ar$e of it at LB than see a young player in the team, or even better throw a couple of million on some foreigner on double the wages who gives half the effort. They see playing youngsters as Pedro not spending money but then moan that the club doesn't produce it's own players.
Can you imagine the reaction if NL had came out and said we didn't need back-up for Izzy as we have a 17 y.o. that can do the job then the lad comes in and makes a mistake that causes a goal? His CFC career with some fans would have been over before it started.
You have to give youngsters a chance to play and progress, sometimes it works out like McGeady and other times it's a flop like Forrest but they need to play so you can find out.}

Sadly the days of big signings are well and truly over - for now - as apart from not having a substantial budget in January, the manager has chosen his squad for this season and there are never any decent players available until the summer anyway.
We have installed a manager who is committed to youth development, supplemented by bargain buys from the weaker league nations.
As long as we remain the major club in our country, the board will continue this practical complacency and we will continue to see players that are well below the standard we have been used to for generations.

In the past, the transfer windows were exciting as we were well quoted in Europe and we could attract decent players with CL and medals, but that is not enough - and the EPL minnows can offer three and four times the wages on offer at Celtic.
Add that to the current contempt shown to Scottish football and we are becoming a backwater that - even when we do manage to sign a good yin they can't wait to bolt or the club takes the first sniff of profit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Am all for the youth getting a chance Ed, nothing better than one of the production line IMO

In fact I said @ the start of the season mate that when it looked as though some of the first team were not buying into his ideas a really think he missed a trick there in all honestly to follow your train of thought can you imagine if he had of fielded say 6 or 7 of the development squad and came out afterwards & said "well a picked them because they took my message on to the park and a feel the rest where no just short changing me but the fans also"? Everyone would have been right behind him IMO even if they had have got gubbed Ed they would have plenty of time to retrieve it!

On a personal basis a think/hope a have championed young Fasan's chances more than most his distribution is superb IMO but he is different watch him move through the air at the pace he moves he is that quick you would think he would hurt himself on impact but just gets up and gets on with it!

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be great if club set up a feeder club link again in Belgium.

There are some right good players coming out that league at moment and experience will only do good for youth sent on loan.

Also youth players scouted from countries such as Africa etc could be farmed out there on loan, getting round strict work permit regulations here

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Has it been announced about the link-up with Hudiksvalls FF from Sweden yet?}

Thats the first I've heard ed. I hope they utilise feeder club, especially if the core plan is a bigger emphasis on youth. We are at a massive disadvantage compared to european teams regards work permits. Ideal to scout potential players and farm them out untill they qualify for either work permit here or through gained eu citizenship

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed had a look online, link has been announced in sweden. Its in swedish though so don't know what it says lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Skit i det!}

Just from earlier Ed hearing two names from someone usually quite good a finnish CH that plays with Ajax who has not got long left in his deal Niklas Mosiander and another CH that RD had @ stromsgodset think his name was Mardsen or Marsden both available to sign pre contracts apparently?

Would both fit RD wanting to buy Scand types? you know anything of them? atvb

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've heard a few people mention Mosiander but he's 30 or there abouts, I can't see us signing players in that age group. Kim Andre Madsen is the Stromsgodset player, at 25 he could be a decent shout but I don't know anything about him.}

I reckon we are going to lose 10 to 15 players from our squad this Summer so surely it is better building now for next season?

We have already lost (thankfully) Berget, Kayal and 2 youngsters during this window.

I don't think any of the 4 loans will be back next season (Denayer, Guidetti, Tonev, Wakaso). Add that to Zaluska and VVD who we know are off and the potential loses of Dirk, Commons, Balde, Rogic, Fridjohnsen, Pukki and Matthews or Lustig (Ed007 has been telling us one will go) and the squad is thinning out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Ed (y)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - No probs.}

We will lose all those and bring in 2/3 if we're lucky. We definitely need a CB another CDM and hopefully CAM I would keep Rogic and give him a chance all the others will be gone, Rather we kept Lustig as he's better and has more experience for CL Matthews gets found out too easily in Europe

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 15:34:45
Don't think we are being fair to RD and what he is trying to do .
He is trying to build for next year and the years after that by playing Liam H . And Callum McG .
Got to give the young lads playing time so that they can develop .
We will win the League but we need to look to th future .

just watching the inter game, (60 min) so far, so so however.

D'Ambrosio has just been subbed with what looks like a hamstring injury:D

That's good news. Hopefully Xakiri and Podolski pull a ham too

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2015 14:23:55
Well it looks as though we won't be signing any new players. It also looks that our POTY last year could be leaving. Also still talk that VVD maybe leaving. The 1 player that will be coming in GMS, good signing by the way, won't be coming in till the summer, unless we pay £250,000 the now. Mr Peter Lawwell, can you really say that this club is improving?. I DON'T THINK SO.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

All guesswork at the moment mate.

Still early doors mate

I think we have to just realise that we won't be bringin anybody in! I've said it before, are people really surprised? Look at the last 4 windows! Barely a penny spent and look how much we've brought in and got off the wage bill! Forster samaras Ledley to name a few! We're down sizing at an alarming rate I'm afraid! The quality just ain't there anymore! And talk of west brom wanting Armstrong is just another example were we are! Another good quality scot slipping threw our fingers because we won't spend! This is what we've become but.and before people say it's negativity it's really not! Just sayin it how it is! We as celtic fans aren't askin for the Earth in regards to buyin players, but sum quality to keep us interested! And I don't blame RD,this is Lawells doin!

Agree4 Disagree0

Why do so many fans want gms in this window.i may be wrong with this, he can't play in the league cup or the scottish cup due to his participation in these tournaments with Dundee Utd, not sure if he can play in europa league as Dundee Utd played in the qualifiers, if that's the case he wouldn't get time to settle in the side as he would be in and out of the team should we progress in these cups. For me the summer would be better, pre season training, possibly a tour that would give him time to get used to everything just my thoughts.killy.

In the grand scheme of things I see being a football fan as a hobby with a good bit of passion there for this hobby and the team I support.

This advert in today's paper (speaking for myself here) is a million carat brass neck and highly cringeworthy. Its not about stating the facts or anything like that and is totally down to pure fame, attention seeking and taking bragging rights to a whole new level.

I've now come to the conclusion some folk who claim some kind of moral high ground can actually only do that by only ever mixing with folk who are like-minded and being 100% intolerant to others opinions and views - its not normal

Football/opinion forums and social media are just simply a sign of our times and are fine but some have taken it to far and given themselves some kind of god-like status.

About a year ago it did kinda annoy me (maybe I was being naive) but now I know folk are actually just laughing at them.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

What was the advert Mrs E? Not read a paper today lol

Agree1 Disagree1

Mrs E, I have'nt seen any advert today, but I heard some people were going to spend £3000, putting an advert in the paper regarding rangers new team, old team, etc, I thought it was a wind up, persons is how I would describe them, if they've got money to spare, why did'nt they give it to the motor neurone charity instead.

Agree0 Disagree2

@DN - you know when the Ibrox Club play anyone these days and the opposition fans chants 'You're Not Rangers Anymore' well its about 5000 words to this effect. A pure riddy lol

Aindoh - I friggin know, we've been on beans & toast all month and these fans have spare cash for this shambles.

Now before anyone says it just states facts, this is just a sh*t argument.

Agree2 Disagree3

So your happy that a lying cheating masonic web of lies can go unquestioned? The club that we knew as rangers are currently being liquidated, that is a fact. This club ran up huge debts to all and sundry, and let's not forget they did it knowingly, including the Ambulance Service and Police both of whom a game cannot start unless they are in attendance.

Charles Green bought the 'assets'of the club now being liquidated. green then claimed he had bought the history, forget the historical debts, but this means nothing. This however seemed to green light the ludicrous claim that the clubs timeline continued. It did not.Remember when there were two clubs in existence during the licence transfer, and the unprecedented granting of a temporary licence?

This ad calls out the media who have been cowering, with the exception of a couple, behind their keyboards and radio mikes scared to utter the phrase 'newco'. The intimidation and threats from a section of sevconia is no excuse. Prime example: 'i don't care what UEFA say they will always be rangers to me'. Mark Guidi.A reporter saying UEFA don't matter. There is the problem.

Finally. When we had our troubles pre Fergus, do you think we would have been allowed this same club nonsense? jeeze some still use the pathetic Pacific Shelf line. What might be missed here is a vital fact. Before printing the papers lawyers would have fine tooth combed this before printing, the fact is was published speaks volumes.Well done to all concerned.

Agree6 Disagree3

GJ - how does this advert change any of that?

These fans have not put their own names to the advert, they've hid behind the general term 'Celtic Supporters'. Show me any newspaper that states the Club was NOT liquidated. I know folk go into a mental tizzy about the words 'Old Firm or Relegated' but a lot of folk just don't care.

Fans putting the Ibrox Club first is just ridiculous. David Murray got away with corporate murder but a lot of it should be for the law and courts to deal with, he's stolen pension funds and all sorts but this doesn't seem to bother folk as much. I wonder why when they like the moral highground so much.

This advert makes not one bit of difference to Rangers fans, not one iota. Celtic fans take out an advert about the Ibrox Club is all it is.

Bang on Mrs E:

here is the never ending story in a short statement.

We know it: They know it:
everybody knows it:
so why let them get up ours nose.

somebody once said : its only a game of football.

lets do our talking on the pitch come Sunday.

HH

Agree1 Disagree2

Mrs E the newspapers must be struggling to fill pages lol

Agree1 Disagree0

Anyone who is embarrassed by a formal ad which states pretty much what they believe either lacks confidence in their own beliefs or believes that these opinions should only be expressed amongst our own kind, both which plays right into the media and the zombies hands in their passing lies off as fact.

Do not be embarrassed by fellow Celtic fans who are only expressing what you already believe to be true.

Agree2 Disagree2

@Mrs E; The ad does not change any thing but awareness. the attitude of various people to this situation is don't mention it and it will become true. As for any newspaper saying 'not liquidated' really? Have you not seen the wonderful terms like 'exited administration'? Or indeed the quote from Guidi I mentioned?

To mention Murray is a bit off message. Murray will be treated the same way any businessman, especially Knighted masonic ones, would.By being allowed to walk away unscathed.I agree the bigger story is Murray and Masterton's behaviour but they are untouchable through football sadly.

The ad may not make any difference to your average sevconian but who cares, surely it is about principals? I stated it will call out reporters like Guidi and Keevins etc because you can bet it will be raised on snyde.

Remember our turbulent financial times? I do.I remember the lording over us from ibrox and their fans, helped by a media who worshipped any thing Murray said. Time this nonsense stopped.

Agree2 Disagree2

Away AH, I'm that confident in my own beliefs I don't need an advert lol

It's Monday tomorrow and I have work but I can guarantee if I take out an advert, my friends and family will be concerned

Agree1 Disagree0

GJ - the same paper the AD is in has used the term 'Old Firm' on their back pages, that's how seriously they have taken the advert.

It's doesn't raise awareness for anyone who has an interest in Scottish football, the Ibrox club and their plight have been in the papers everyday for at least 3 years.

Sorry but this isn't about what's written in the advert, it's a group wanting fame and attention and assuming they're important enough to speak for us all.

Agree3 Disagree0

The people who sent the ad into the paper could always get a life

Agree4 Disagree0

With the amount of rubbish printed in papers its strange that this is what gets you annoyed. I don't feel like they are speaking for me, why do you think they are speaking on behalf of you? it wasn't signed 'all celtic supporters' was it?

I haven't read it and doubt I will bother, there are better things to be talking about just now than deciding that your better than some fellow celts who clearly feel more anger towards the ibrox activities than you do.

4 wins in a row have maybe left some with nothing to complain about apart from this

Agree0 Disagree0

Who said this is the only thing that gets folk annoyed?

I don't think Celtic winning 4 games in a row is the reason - strange thing to say?

If folk didn't use forums for moaning then it would be boring and a redundant hobby. You only have to look at Everton, Man Utd, Liverpool etc and folk are moaning. Suppose it depends on your own outlook

Agree0 Disagree0

What paper is the add in?

Agree0 Disagree0

The only embarrassing thing about it is that its the fans who had to do it and not the current custodians of the club.

Agree1 Disagree0

It's in the Herald JB

AH, Celtic told you the reason they want a line drawn under it and the players, Managers and ex Managers have all moved on and respected the decision. Unsure of the reason some of our fans can't respect the reasons for their decision. Celtic feel they have a responsibility and to be honest, don't think Celtic saying anything would make much difference to this advert being taken out.

Agree0 Disagree0

I found the ad hilarious mrs e. You shouldn't let it wind you up as it was clearly designed to wind them up. Fact is wether you recognise them as new or old, they reside at the same address they wear the same colours with the same badge. And they are followed by the same intolerant knuckle draggers as before. the new club still celebrate there intolerance for all to hear so come Sunday I will be just as up for hammering them as I was for hammering there decesed former selves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Living proof that we are still obsessed with them. As soon as someone talks about them we have 18 replies lol. Who says we don't miss them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Och Gary it's not really the advert itself that's the wind up and probably more just something I've started to notice more and more on forums etc.

It's folk who have never ran a business never mind a multi-million pound business, never ran as much as a Schoool football team but have arrogantly come to the conclusion they could run a Premier league Club and their opinion is more important that another fans. It's daft lol

Love it. The first thing we see on this page today in the wee video clip is NL. I believe it's the same one for all Ed, is that correct? This means the other lot will have wee Neil when they open their rumours page ha ha ha.

Believable1 Unbelievable8

With all the cup upsets yesterday by all the wee "diddy" teams, Celtic will need to make sure the wee "diddy" team do not win next Sunday lol

Agree2 Disagree5

Why is everyone disagreeing with Timalloy? So people would rather we let Rangers win then!?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bravetart, some people are obsessed with clicking disagree just because its there. If you made a simple statement that a force called gravity keeps things from falling up, they would disagree. No reason. I even posted a joke and had a bunch of people disagree. what can I say?

Agree0 Disagree1

Haha even your last post was disagreed with TT. I think I remember reading your joke before. Some posts on here you don't agree with but I will never understand disagreement with a bit of banter!?

Not an overly entertaining game to watch but a typical hard slog January 3 points and another clean sheet. I'll take it.

Kim go-kyung has been released from Cardiff by mutual consent! We are always linked with this guy ex do u think we want him or is it just paper push ex?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I've just heard it's his teammate Eikrem we're getting on a free.

Agree0 Disagree0

Magnus Wolff Eikrem - could be a player, or could be another Berget. After seeing that big diddy I'm wary of taking somone who can't get a game for Cardiff, especially with how poor they are atm in Championship

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair point tompo. It's the same Cardiff that couldn't utilise Mats Daehli though. Technically gifted and at such a young age is now integral to a National side. Eikrem has similar pedigree and looked good in the Dutch league. Perhaps just misused. I don't think Manchester United pick you up if you've got nothing about you but then again I don't just want us feeding off sloppy seconds. Anyway its just a rumour I heard but at this stage I'd take anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

Saw he was at Manchester Utd and completly agree, just wary

Agree0 Disagree0

Signing free agents at this point in season is good idea. A short term deal can be arranged with view to permanent deal if player performs.

Hopefully sign a cb this window.
