Apparently Sevco are not the only ones wasting money.
A government sponsored survey has concluded that 7/8 year old children are happier getting an occasional treat like chocolate or a day at the cinema than NO treats at all.
Gosh these boffins really are clever, be honest would any parent on here have known that?

Folks
It's coming to that time of year again when the speculation will go ballistic and the transfer window will open.
Everyone is saying we need a quality striker who can make a difference in the CL so who would you like to see coming in? Be realistic with your suggestions too because we ain't going to sign Messi or Ronaldo!

I'd like a decent striker like finboggison, bit there's no chance we will pay what they want. I think I'd be happy to bring back watt and buy Stevie may along with Griffiths and stokes. Get rid of the rest of our guff attack force and buy a decent cam get a good cb in with a bit of quality to partner vvd. Move Ambrose into mid field, bring in another winger hopefully snodgrass if norich go down. Think I'd be happy enough with that tbh. Definitely want us to try for snodgrass though. He has been great for norwich

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we missed out big time with finnbogasson. Seen a story herneveen are holding out for a minumum of £8.25m. I would like to see aron johanson signed or john guidetti

@DN30: If it was only that simple mate.Look at where we play and the financial difference to playing in the south.

Agree0 Disagree0

In my opinion, we need a major revamp in the summer. We should scrap various players for different reasons like Izzy - injury ruined him; Ambrose - not good enough; Sammy - doesn't want to be here; Stokes - too similar to Pukki n not a team player; Boerrigter - injury prone; Mouyokolo - not good enough + injury prone; Griffiths - off field baggage; Kayal - never came back from that injury; and Forrest - injury prone + not good enough. We then need to bring in a CB, LB, DM, RW, LW, playmaker + goalscorer. That's before even thinking about having to replace Forster + Virgil if they go!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with some of what HB says as it is clear we have a very limited squad with too many injury prone players and some who should never have been signed at all.
It would be terrific to have a clear out and get some quality, flair and creativity back into my beloved Celtic team and improve on this season.
However; a lot will depend on Neil Lennon staying or leaving?
We have CL qualifiers (at Murrayfield!) coming up fast in July and a big upheaval of personnel may really jeopardise our chances.
If Lennon does go I hope it is after the final league game so we can get a new manager in place with fresh ideas and vast improvement.

Just saw on STV sally mcmoist has a target to win premiership in 3 years! Pmsl that sevco mob are seriously deluded! They will be lucky to still be alive at end of season! R.I.P Sevco, youngest club to die in football leagues 2012-2014

Absolutely devastating to news about Tito Vilanova at 45 years old.

Lets not forget he was a very important part of Barcelona's recent successful period and cancer robbed him of the opportunity to be 1st team Coach after Pep left.

The Gift that simply refuses to stop giving.

Best bit of the Sevco review for me was despite admitting they had squandered almost £70m, signing 10 overpaid players on long term contracts and their supporters could only pay season tickets by cash, cheque or bank transfer as they had no banking facilities. and that if fans did not buy said season tickets club would be in a dire financial strait trading wise.
Notwithstanding all this Sally has been promised a transfer budget to sign even MORE overpaid players.

So, are Sevco going to follow RFC to the grave? Season tickets up 20% n can be purchased cash only? Spend. Cheat. Liquidate. Repeat!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't know what else to say, so I'll respond in the most fitting way I can.! Apparently ally was "shocked"

120 days for that report. I could have done it in 120 seconds. We have blown £70 mill. We are paying over the going rate in wages. We need more money and just to keep the not so loyal happy we are going to win the SPFL in our second year of being their.

Bhoys/Ghirls and wee Pat news just in.

Apparently after hearing of the perilous state of Sevco's finances their manager Mr Sally McCoist has agreed to a 15% cut in his Greigs bill.
"Absolutely I am 100% behind this gesture, or as it is now 85%, my agent is working when this will start, we have asked club to defer it until 2020, hopefully this gesture by me will go some way to helping the club I love and who pay me so handsomely, as a further goodwill gesture, for the remainder of this season I will only visit said baker shops 3 times a week instead of my usual 7"

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm no economics or business expert, but surely they'll go bust again. How can they be laying out what they are in the position they're in? The season tickets thing is a clear indication that they are desperate for cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

Season books cash only as the company who deals with credit wanted security over Ibrox! Wallace said no! The snack bar on the cope land road has the security incase ally gets the sack and they have to cover his tick list!

Agree0 Disagree0

There's some law that's says the season ticket monies can't be spent because the company would be spending money that isn't technology theirs whilst insolvent, the money has to be ring fenced,? Is this correct?
