Anybody see that d**k artist on BBC news who spent 460k on a grass football pitch in the middle of a Forrest for ONE game then gonna re-plant trees on pitch afterwards, not his own money I bet! We wonder why we don't produce players in this country! L1888

it does not usually bother me when players are sold or move on. The KI
sale is different. I really rated this player. I have three words to say
about his transfer. They are WE WERE ROBBED.

Believable6 Unbelievable6

£6.3m plus £1.2m add ons this year = £7.5m plus 15% of the sell on....
Not bad business at all mate.

I like Ki and think he'll develop further but Celtic Wil still get 15% of that. It's good business.

With Ledley and Kayal out injured, I hope the sale of Ki does not come
back to haunt us. Think we were rash to sell him at this time. Julieghirl

Believable6 Unbelievable2

To those who disagree tell me who we will play to replace Ledley and Kayal?

Agree3 Disagree2

Brown and Wanyama?

Sad to see ki go, him, kayal and big vic wer our best CM's IMO. When we get to group stages next week like to see 4 or 5 good players brought in, none on loan thanks. Take the hand of a club 4 million for stokes if true.

Ins -
Johnny russell or Jordan rhodes
Michael ciani
Gary Mackay-Steven or Robbie brady
Carlton cole or Kenwyne jones

Please thanks PL.

John Guidetti (Man City, loan)

Celtic trying to get Joey Barton on loan. Don't want this thug anywhere near my beloved Hoops

Believable13 Unbelievable3

Here Here. That guy is toxic.

Agree9 Disagree2

If this is true who's ever idea it was should hang there head in shame and yes that means management right through to coaching staff, scouting and boardroom this guy is nothing but a bullying thug
davie

Agree10 Disagree2

He is worse than Diouf

Agree10 Disagree2

TO THE DISAGREE POSTERS. Do you really want to see Barton in our beloved hoops. Get real.

Agree8 Disagree1

This might be controversial but ignoring the sheer difference in footballing quality we took Roy Keane. This the man who deliberately tried to finish a players career in a derby match. That was the worst misdemeanor but there were plenty more. I guess though cause he came from the Ireland it was ok. Stevo Dundee

Agree1 Disagree5

Stevo dundee dont you think stubbing out cigars in young players faces, assualting innocent bystanders, constant bullying of players at every club he has played for is acceptable?

Agree4 Disagree0

Im not wanting him near my team's midfield either, just making a point about how it was accepted when RK came. As a person he's a degenrate, as a player brings nothing to our midfield. Stevo Dundee

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no way celtic are signing him, maybe the 2nd glasgow club will sign him, or prob that new outfit from the 3rd division that nobody likes and they dont care, he would fit right in there. jj

Celtic are 2/1 2nd favourites (behind Everton at 1/1) to sign Charlie Adam of all people. Next most likely are Fulham at 6/1.

Surely there must be someone out there taking the Michael? Favourites to sign for one of Liverpool's biggest rivals and Celtic for whom he used to play against for their biggest rivals back in the day.

Or maybe at 2/1 and evens there's something in these transfers... {Ed007's Note - He recently got married to a girl from Blackpool and none of them are too keen to leave the area they live in. His preference is to stay at LFC and fight for his place but don't be surprised if he ends up at Everton.}

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Hope its Everton and not us.

Agree6 Disagree1

OP here. Actually have huge respect for Adam. Was dire at Rangers but made himself a legend at Blackpool and worked hard for his move to Liverpool.

I don't think he'd improve Everton but I don't see him signing for us either as he cost Liverpool 11M or something so I can't see them selling for less than half of that. Not sure he's what we need either - good player but our midfield is strong as it is and we need a bloomin' centre half!

Have to say that I've absolutely hated the last couple of months with Forster the only player to come in. I must admit though that I am looking forward to the prospect of a Deadline Day deal or deals for Celtic! :)

Guys dont panic, signings will be made. I said earlier that we wud prob have no no money unless we made champs league What wud u do get a free or maybe a loan. Or wait till qualify and get decent money to spend. Neil Lennon is far to clever to talk about signings or how much money
he spending.Look at his record he more likely to bring in someone we never heard of and young. So keep the faith guys, what u think ed? Hail Hail

The team most likely to face Inverness

4-4-2

Forster
Matthews Wanyama Mulgrew Izaguirre
Forrest Brown McCourt Commons
Hooper Bangura

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I think wanyama will play centre mid. Reason being that with Kayal and Lesley injured, he will need to play centre mid on Wednesday so get him a game to play with brown in the centre of the park

Wanyama will play centre mid with wilson or rogne play cb and mccourt playing just of hooper

Here are my 1 Week of the Transfer Window to go Predictions.

1) Celtic will relaunch their bid for Johnny Russell
2) Celtic will sign a defender on loan from the EPL

You could well be correct, could do with a attacking midfielder as well, someone to entertain like lubo did. johnbhoy79

Hi ed, great site mate thanks for it.

Months ago u posted why celtic changed their name from athletic coy to what it is now. What it is im in a arguement with my newco friend who says their situation is the same as ours all those years ago so their history is intact as much as ours is.

Now I remember u had the facts posted and could u please post them again so I can put him straight.

Thank you.

Rosco

{Ed007's Note - Just ask your friend what companies acted as the administrators or liquidators of any CFC company. Here is what you are looking for.:

The Celtic Football and Athletic Company Ltd

If a football club is liquidated it’s finished. Continuity with its history and records ends. This is not the same as a football company changing its name.

Celtic was established as a sporting club at a meeting in a church hall in November 1887, in many ways, no different than a million other football, karate and badminton clubs. It subsequently registered with the SFA in 1888. In April 1897 it incorporated as a private limited company, registering as The Celtic Football and Athletic Company Ltd at Companies House. It was the 3487 th company to register in Scotland and was given the incorporation number SC003487.

In 1994 the company became a public limited company and changed its name to Celtic PLC but, of course, remained the same company, with the same incorporation number and retained the same registration with the SFA. You can check our corporate history, from incorporation in 1879, to name change in 1994 to our most recent annual return, dated 31 December 2011, at Companies House.

On the same day Celtic changed its name to Celtic PLC, Fergus McCann changed the name of an off the shelf company, securing the old trading name ‘The Celtic Football and Athletic Company Ltd’, which is fully owned by Celtic PLC, but is not registered as a football club. I assume this was to secure our old name for the club and to protect it from potential abuse.

It is looking very unlikely that we will make any signings this summer, which is a shame as it would give the place a boost to see a new face.

If nobody comes in... What do you think Lennys team will be? Will he go with the 3-5-2 or 4-3-3 or 4-5-1! For me, I think the 4-3-3 is our best position, everyone seems to be comfortable in their roles here. Although who do we drop out of Broon, Wanyama, Ledley and Kayal? Each bring something different but I would always have Joe Ledley in my team, and Wanyama is the best at sitting in front of the back 4. So it is between Kayal and Broon? Thoughts?

LINNIE88

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I think Lenny has been building a squad with a great degree of fluency in it.We can change the shape of our team comfortably two or three times per game if needed. The teams learning,Lenny's learning lets get right behind them both...........green jhedi

Agree2 Disagree2

Brown all day long. Kayal for me,sometimes tries to look good on the ball instead of doing the simple things but still a great player on his game.
