After reading Mr Livingston's account on what was said and the tweets he got IF these so called people are really Celtic fans I am disgusted and ashamed if true and don't want associated with any moron like that.

Why are you on here Peter?

23 Nov 2015 19:04:10
Lol wish I had his money This is a forum just encase you don't know Rab not a dictatorship If you agree to what those morons are reported to have Sayed why are you here? NOT Celtic minded if you think its cool to call other peoples religions names if you were/are old enough to remember the 60s or 70s you would not be asking that.

{Ed007's Note - Just to clear something up, being an anti-Zionist is not being anti-Semitic for the simple reason that Judaism is not Zionism. Calling someone a Zionist is no different to calling someone a Tory or a Unionist.}

23 Nov 2015 19:44:13
ED007 I think these clowns said other things about jewish people also, but to put it in context, I am led to believe these clowns number no more than 10 or 20. For Mr Bankier to tar all Celtic fans with this brush was wrong. I also heard the record ran story through their reporter Jackson to stoke things up as he is banned from the Celtic Park press room.
For clarity I would think all decent fans do not want these guys near our club if expressing sectarian opinions, we welcome every faith and none. I personally do not approve of Mr Livingstone's views but he is entitled to hold them.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I didn't even think there was 10, Tim. You're spot on with what you say but I've only seen two actual quotes and one of them was calling him a Zionist. It was an outrageous statement but if I'm honest I think it's getting blown a bit out of proportion, if you were there you'd know he didn't tar all supporters, Bankier said that Livingstone had been;

'subject to a torrent of utterly base personal abuse conducted over social media over recent weeks. The messages posted, in quite a few cases are criminally racist and in all cases the vocabulary chosen is base and highly abusive and what sickens me to the core is that the campaign is conducted in the name of Brother Walfrid.’

By you're own admission there were quite a few of the messages so what's the problem with what Banker said?}

23 Nov 2015 19:49:31
From what I read it was not just Zionist that was mentioned if those quotes we're real The J** word was quoted to.

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - Tony you are allowed to say Jew mate, things aren't that bad yet so why the hell have you used * in it?}

23 Nov 2015 20:24:14
I agree Tim Mr Bankiers wording was totally wrong and I do be leave it was only as you say 10 to 20 people saying that. And I on my part was only talking about those morons IF they were really Celtic fans.

23 Nov 2015 21:05:13
Ed I know you can say Jew just don't like saying it in a bad context.

personally i would like to see a total clear out at boardroom level possibly even getting new owner's in aswell i don't like the fact we have an un elected tory lord on the board plus we're hearing our chairman has had secret meeting's with david cameron leading up to the indy vote on top of that lawwell the highest paid at the club and a billionaire tight wad owner get tae **** ya bams.

The quote about Biton is more worrying.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Now that's not on at all, some of the stuff I've seen written about him is disgusting, and to think only 3 weeks ago on signing a new deal Bitton said:

'As soon as I got a new offer from Celtic I had no questions about signing. When you play for a club like Celtic you don't think twice. It's a huge club, the best fans in the world and Celtic Park is one of the best stages in Europe so I'm just delighted to extend my stay here'.

While I agree that Livingston is entitled to hold his views, I should point out that there is a difference between holding a view and using your position to enforce misery on millions of families up and down the UK.

It is beyond disgraceful what the Tories are doing at the moment. They are pretending they are trying to save money to bring down the debt. These alleged savings are forcing millions into poverty and reliance on foodbanks. The savings that are made go to pay companies like Conecentrix and ATOS (some Tories even have shares in these companies) to make people's lives a living hell. The irony of it all is that the countries debt has not stopped growing since the Tories first entered government with the Lib Dems and it now stands at a whopping £1.5 trillion.

I hate the fact that guys like this and John Reid have anything to do with the club I love.

Just a thought, why are we suddenly getting embroiled in the Indy vote and what the politicians are doing outside of football in relation to Celtic?
I could discuss all sorts of politics and decisions but this is not the forum for it. However, if it is such an important concern for Celtic supporters then let's consider a new page similar to the one for the undead where supporters can vent their anger at the Celtic board members in Government.

Rather we got rid of the guy that made the comment about Biton first, before Livingston, Celtics should'nt be a club associated with rascists.

I have little doubt that some, probably a very small number used language they shouldn't have towards Mr Livingstone. So what, it's not as if half the stadium were chanting vile racist bigoted chants . I think this is a storm in a tea-cup and we should move on chastened that us fans were barking up the wrong tree .
The Board and it's spending on players . Whoever used this post to get @ Bitton deserves a wee lession on what is acceptable and isn't . Bitton needs to be judged on his football ability .
Actually it's very difficult to Judge Livingstone ability on the Board .

You been misreading the posts again, Oldbhoy?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Nov 2015 21:20:44
well tinytim i would hardly say mentioning bankier (chairman celtic plc ) secret meeting with cameron being embroiled in the indy debate and also don't believe it needs its own page and yes i believe its something that other supporters would like to know that the chairman of our club is meeting with the prime minister that is ruining a lot of poor and disabled ppl's lives going against everything the club stands for.

But Oldbhoy, nobody used this post to get at Biton.

As stated I was not at game on saturday but believe Celtic asked fans to donate food items or cash to foodbanks across the west of Scotland, (myself I donated cash earlier in week, and as already stated I volunteer in food bank near my home) Not heard officially, but I expect once again our generous fans responded magnificently as usual, the spirit of Brother Walfrid is still alive at Celtic Park. hail hail
I would be grateful if anyone could post what was raised/donated on saturday.

Just a shame that Livingston and his cronies have caused such a high demand for this service and many people to take their life as a result of the changes of the benefit system and how they are treated at the job centre and ATOS.
